Question: Is it okay to tell my friend that she annoys me? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 05:09 PM PST she is a family friend... and one of the most things we have in common is that, we dont have a lot of friends, so even though we live far away, we text each other everyday and all day... and video call a lot... but we are in college now... and she made some new group of friends that are really outgoing and likes to party, drink, and do stuff with boys.. so my friend changed A LOT... most of the time idk what she is talking about bc i have a pure mind. anyway... all she talks about is her friends.. she will be like "oh im going to mexico for spring breakkkk with my friendss" "ohh im going to puerto rico for spring breakkk, i can't visit you or ill have to see you during the summer" even though we planned to see each other since August and their trip was just a "suggestion" and wont even happen.all our convos from her now start with "my friend, my friend, my friend" it annoys me bc... yeah i understand she is having fun, but i feel like she is trying to make me jealous and brag about her new life. i dont even know them and will not even meet them. so i usually dont reply when she talks about her friends and she will start talking about something else but.. wow she wont stop.. and i dont wanna be like a kid and tell her.. dont talk about your friends.. |
Question: Why are university students so anally retentive? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 04:46 PM PST Unversity students are some of the most annoying, stuck up and rude people I've ever met. You can't even talk to them without hearing them give some sarcastic remark. They act like they're the center of the universe and that only their opinions matter. They make bs excuses not to reply to your messages and are probably one of the worst people to go for any kind of help if you even need it because most of the time they're lost in their thoughts and probably don't give a f**k but they will blow up your inbox if they need something. They're always buried in their phones and you can forget about even trying to get to know them. In all honesty, I find them incredibly debauch and immoral. What factors do you guys believe bred these entitled lowlives? Lina, you sound like some dumb sheep. wake the hell up and use your brain for once instead of spamming |

Question: How does he feel about me? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 04:08 PM PST I (female) am in high school and I hung out with my friend, Pablo, yesterday who is also my ex. Our friendship is kind of a mess at the moment. I'm gonna try to simplify it. Pablo used to bully my close friend's sister and Charles didn't care for a while but eventually changed his mind, causing him to feel the need to cut off their friendship. Pablo had a breakdown and blocked everyone in our friend group on Instagram and proceeded to ignore us. He apologized later and things are OK, but still rough. Especially between Pablo and I because we were a thing and go to different schools. He also dissed us and talked smack behind our backs during the whole deal. To be fair, we did similar, though not as much insults, moreso just sharing unpleasant memories and being like "OMG I CANT BELIEVE HE DID.." blah blah blah. Additionally, Pablo's friend, Jarrell kept getting on me and dissing Pablo and would be incredibly inappropriate during the time when Pablo was ignoring us. I kept rejecting Jarrell and once the break was over, apparently Jarrell keeps lying and talking badly about me and honestly he is so dumb and cannot come up with any comebacks or anything! I defended myself against him and now he's telling a bunch of lies and accusing me of lying about stuff he did despite me having proof. |
Question: How do I get a life, make friends, and get a gf? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 03:17 PM PST I'm a 22 year old male. Wasted 3 yrs of community college taking some gen ed classes and getting a certificate in accounting now finally taking a break. I realized it wasn't the right career for me so I just look for crappy jobs such as general labor.I quit my last job which was seasonal overnight stock for a new job which is taking care of my mom for free money. My sister does most of the work and I barely do anything. I have rarely any friends only my one cousin I talk to on phone a week but lives far away. No girlfriend because I'm stupid and introverted. I'm not that attractive. I lack social and communication skills. I can't do anything right. My memory is terrible and can't remember what people are saying when it comes to two or more sentences. My grandparents say I can't do this or that and is true. Some people are mean to me. My GPA in high school is terrible which is 2.0. I play games almost everyday ever since middle school only taking couple days a week off. I have social anxiety and depression and been prescribed medications. Can't get another job until I quit the job I have right now. I am just starting to save up on money. I'm stuck at home everyday. I live with my grandparents ever since I was born now I'm about to leave soon to live with my sis and her husband. I'm thinking about moving on my own as I get older. Is it too late to change or would I still be the same? Life is difficult and unfair. I just don't know what to do. |
Question: Should I continue to help my buddies sister with her homework? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 02:28 PM PST I like to hang out at my buddy John's house. He has a younger 14 year old sister Ann. Ann usually ask me to help her with her homework when I am at John's house and I am happy to do that as she is really a nice person. After the homework is done, she thanks me, give me a hug and a kiss. I talked to John about this kiss and he said Ann was very affectionate and just wanted to thank me for my help with her homework. I told John I had NO ROMANTIC interest in Ann as I am 21 years old and she is way to young for me. He said both he and Ann know that. Can I get in trouble if I continue to help her with her homework? Am I doing something wrong here? |

Question: Should I continue in my friendship? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 01:57 PM PST Long story. I went on a few dates with this guy and I met his mother. The dates were both flops and I decided I didnt want to see him and he agreed but, acted like a jerk. Toward the end of one of the dates, I met his mother. She seemed nice and friended me on social media. After me and her son decided to not see each other, I culled my social media of his family since I no point in anything and didnt want strings attached. Fast forward to several months later, my mom is at a church event and runs into the mother and as my mom is mentioning me, she is shocked and wants to know where I am. So my mom points me out and she comes to me asking why I removed her off social media at the time. I told her nothing personal, just cleaned up my social media and I decided ok, I guess I will rekindle a friendship with this woman. I do admit, I did feel uncomfortable since this lady is that failed dates mother. So, I rekindled a friendship with her but, I never considered her some close friend or anything. Overtime, she became more obsessed with me, texting all the time, getting upset when I'm at work or associating with my other friends. She is always blowing up my phone and it's recently became over bearing. She always expects for me to drive an hour to visit her and yet, she never visits me and whenever we do something, it's about what she wants to do. She is also always talking about her son and how he lives in Florida and how I should visit. The thing is, I'm not interested in her son. And fast forward to recently… I was looking for a gig on the side of my day job so, I took a cleaning job for her mother in law. Her mother in law was always standing over me all the time telling me how to clean certain things and even how to hang a curtain on a curtain rod. I couldn't handle it anymore so I quit and found someone else for the job. I did put in sufficient enough notice and she said I didn't. She started telling me that I'm not a responsible person and getting angry at me telling me all these hurtful things. I apologized and tried to make things right and she still went on and on about the same thing. My mom was saying I should block her since I seem so drained from this. I don't really feel anything within myself to be friends with this lady any longer and we do not have anything in common. What should I do? Should I block her or should I try to work things out? I feel like this lady tries to control me and manipulate things when it doesnt go her way |

Question: My cousing thinks she s black.? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 07:10 AM PST We are Puertorican, and i know that we have african roots. My dad is light brown and so is her mom. But we are both very white. She looks more asian than anything. But its not about color. When we where in highschool she went through an k-pop phase, she became a huge asian wannabe, started acting and assimilating the way the girls in the K-dramas whould act and speak. She got over it, but now she s in college is all the same again. She speaks like she s from the getto, and adopted a bunch of mannerisms. We are both in the same BLM movements in diferent colleges, but I m ashamed to invite her out with my friends, one of my friends even got offended cause she thought she was being derogative and acting like that just because she was around black people. She refers to herself as african american and it sometimes upsets my friends. Cause they know we are latinas, i wish she would stop I want to stop hanging out with her. I wouldn t mind it if she had grown up here in the U.S and that was already in her culture, but it started all a year ago. And I know its all passing, honestly i think she does it to feel special, like when she was in the K-pop phase in high school. Is like she s having a identity crisis. Should i just go with it. Or is it wrong of me to stop hanging out with her? It s just very tiresome. Like i dont even know her anymore. |

Question: My friends hate me and I need help? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 02:28 AM PST I have a group of friends that I ve recently drifted apart from because I didn t think we clicked. I come to find out that this group of friends are really mad at me for this. I ve also recently realized that no one is a perfect friend and that I care about them. So to start rebuilding things in a small way, I began by texting their group (as we are on break) and letting them all know that I love them. Apparently this was seen as a way to "get back into the group" and was not taken kindly to. They think that my intentions are to just use them- which I can guarantee is not true. I feel really hopeless; what can I do to make them not hate me? Do some of them have a right to be mad especially when we weren t close in the first place? Am I awful for what I did? HElp. |

Question: Am i just a bad friend? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 10:48 PM PST Basically... I really suck with guy friends. I always get in fights with them. You're probably thinking that i'm the problem. (rarely am i the problem) They'll usually do me dirty or tell someone my secret. like recently, my guy best friend, sent a list of girls to send nudes to, to one of his guy friends. i ended up recieving these nudes and i'm really upset that he did that. Another case, i've struggled with sucidal thoughts and my guy friend, let's call him K, said if i wasn't scared to kms, to just go do it... so we got in a fight.. i've just really never had a good history with guy friends. sometimes i do overreact and yeah i'm sensative but idk... if i do have a guy friend, everyone ships me with him which gets pretty upsetting. but when i don't everyone just assumes i'm lesbian when in reality i'm straight..? ugh am i just a bad friend in general? ..if so can someone give me some tips? :/ |

Question: Why do I get so paranoid that my friends are hangingout without me? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 09:16 PM PST I have 2 best friends. Whenever I am not with one of them or both of them, I tend to think that they are texting eachother or hangingout without me. I don't know why I get so paranoid and I don't know why it matters because I hangout with only one of them leaving someone out too, I just don't want them to be close or hangout without me. How can I not feel that way |
Question: So i guess its not meant to be then right? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 08:37 PM PST so theres these twin sisters in my class at school who i really want to be friends with but im too shy to walk up to them an anti social so im guessing its not meant to be then since im both shy and anti social |
Question: How to do keep friends when you’re depressed and bring them down a lot? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 08:34 PM PST If you have depression, is it possible to have friends without it affecting them? Should I cover up the fact that I feel so sad and suicidal occasionally, or should I just end the friendships completely? They care, worry, cry, get angry and try to help but to no avail. They ask how I'm doing and I'm usually honest and tell them how depressed I feel. I think I make them feel helpless, useless or not good enough since I'm not getting any better from their help. Isn't it selfish to keep friends, without lying or hiding it, when you are severely depressed? they think I don't try hard enough. I've never had to deal with anything this difficult like this illness. It makes me want to isolate and keep everything in, which I did for a few months then started talking to them again, now here again with the same problem. It's frustrating for me and them. What's the right thing to do in this situation? Keep them as friends and cover it up with lies? Or end the friendships? |

Posted: 27 Dec 2017 08:10 PM PST So my best friend and I have a very close friendship. We say that we're soul mates because we're very close and have a strong connection. Lately, I've been feeling a little more "love" than just a best friend towards her. Now, we're both straight, and I wouldn't even want to label myself because I'm still confused. But, I don't like or find any attraction to any other girls, but my best friend. So, the other day I decided to tell her. She said she wasn't weirded out and all and if she was gay we would already being dating by now. She'll sometimes say she wishes I was a guy but then if I was the love wouldn't be how it is now. She'll joke and say well maybe who knows, but since I've been developing a little crush on her I take it literal. She said she never cuddles with anyone like that or compliments anyone like that. She will lay on me and say I'm the cutest thing ever. A few months back I did ask to kiss her and she said well are you and it was just a quick peck but we haven't again. We again have a really close friendship and love eachother deeply, but idk what to do because she didn't disagree with what I said, I think it's maybe we both have a little crush on how much we love eachother? She even will say things like well definitely get married if you get a boyfriend then I'll say leave him. She says she's serious and that she would get jealous even though she's not a jealous person. She even said "what happened to us" or that maybe she did become gay for just me. |
Question: I’m 18 but my parents still treat me like I’m a child. Help? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 08:08 PM PST I have recently been talking about going on a weekend trip to a city that 3 hours away with a close friend. She told me that I just need to be careful and stay with my friend, but when I told her that I'm leaving in a day she suddenly got all mad and said that she didn't say I could go. I do understand that I am still living under her room and that there will be rules but I need her to understand that I am growing up and need more freedom. What should I do? |
Question: I'm 27 and single should I be worried? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 07:44 PM PST I'm not worried because I know what I want and I won't marry until i meet the guy I want |
Question: Is my friend obsessive, and what should I do? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 07:32 PM PST My friend has changed quite a lot since we first met, but some things she does are starting to alarm me. Whenever we hang out she can only talk about how "horrible" her life is and how she wishes she could "have everything" like me. But here it gets weird: the only thing about me that she can talk about is my relationship with my boyfriend. She is constantly texting him and always asking him why he dates me. She asks him this about once a week. She also talks about how she has nightmares and daydreams. She says I always save her in them by "hugging her problems away." and how she can "feel my presence even when I m not there." Lastly, I occasionally will get a text from her that creeps me out. Two of these texts were "I drove by your house and sat outside it for a couple of hours." and "I drove around your church tonight out of curiosity. It looked nice." I didn t even know she was outside my house when she did this, and I only ever really mentioned my denomination to her. This behavior just weirds me out and I m unsure of what to do. Any time I tell her I m busy her reaction is never "maybe next time" but a "I guess I am just to unimportant to you." I don t believe this is normal behavior of someone. |
Question: I want people to be jealous of me but I also don't want them to know anything about me? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 06:30 PM PST Okay so this is probably really stupid and is just a result of some deep buried insecurities that I dont want to admit. I think this all stems from me being annoyed at my friend's for lying, bragging copying me etc. and other **** that has just been annoying me. I want them to not be able to brag or copy me but also be better them? Selfish and conceited I know, they're supposed to be my friends i should be supportive of their achievements and let it go when they brag but god are they not self aware at all? I want them to be jealous of me but I don't want to have to brag to do it. I want to be the aloof and distant mysterious girl who they want to be but I have no idea how. Help? |
Posted: 27 Dec 2017 06:25 PM PST I'm an ambivert (in the middle) and I'm tired of not going out enough. I'm 16 and I have the social life of a 40 year old. I only go out once every few weeks. My friends and I all go to this smart school so we're fairly busy with schoolwork and many of them have jobs. That alone limits how much we can hang out and I get that, but I feel like no one wants to hang out. My one group has 10 people so finding a day that works with everyone is hard. Even if, they could put more effort into it and we could find a day that works. They don't have many other friends so it's not like they hate eachother. My other friends are difficult asf. Every time we try to make plans it becomes a huge production. Everything that could go wrong happens and 60 percent of the time the plans fall through. I try to put enough effort to both without looking desperate, but I feel as if it's pointless. I feel like I'm not really close to any of them because we don't talk enough, and when we do it's mainly about school. Idk I might just be overthinking, but I want more meaning to my friendships. Idk what to do because they're like my people since we all go to this smart school, and I feel like it's too late to try to make friends with other people. I'm wondering if I should stick with my current friends, hang out once every few weeks, and then make new friends in college. Can anyone help me understand them more? I get it, I'm not really the center of their lives but why is it so hard for them to go out? |
Question: Roommate Texting Suggestion? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 05:57 PM PST My roommate and I do not get along whatsoever. It feels as though he s taking over the entire house. He s being demanding and emotional abusive, which I reported to the property manager and advised that I find a different roommate, but he s unwilling to break the lease between us, and I refuse to leave. I reached my breaking point last night, when I texted him and said - "I think it s best that we only communicate via text, because I am the type of person who needs space." |
