I have a friend who just got married and opened a small nail salon. After I got done last minute gift shopping, I went by her nail salon to wish her a merry Christmas and drop off a gift card for her favorite Starbucks coffee. We started talking for about 10 minutes and at one point. She said "I don't think you'll ever get married. You don't even have a boyfriend, do you"? I said yeah I do. She laughed and didn't say anything. Then her husband said "You got a picture? Why isn't he with you"? I said he's at home waiting. My friend said "You live in a fantasy world... I've never seen you with a guy". Then she said they needed to close up shop and go home, thanked me for the gift card, and told me merry Christmas. I told her I don't live in a fantasy world and she just laughed. Then I said merry Christmas and went home. I've been thinking about this for a while. I don't think she realizes how bad that actually hurt. I don't live in some fantasy world. Why did she have to say that? And why on Christmas Eve? I don't even think she realizes how insensitive she sounded.. and she didn't even get me a gift in return!

okay so I leave my wallet and a pair of shoes in the car with my friends and they tell me to grab it but I want to leave it there while I'm inside my friends house so when I dont grab it and take it with me like they want me to, they throw my wallet along with my shoes out the car window onto my friends lawn. They tell me it was out in his lawn once I'm inside so I could grab it but instead I decide to grab it when I'm leaving, so I leave it on the lawn until I am ready to leave. When I come outside, my shoes are there on the lawn but my wallet isnt, we later find it was picked up by strangers and returned to me within a few hours yet my mom wants someone to blame, whos fault is it?

She judges people based on their education levels and clothing, based on what they eat. She doesn't even have high schooling herself. She even judges all my friends calling them things like: the ugliest, the most cowardly ones, the retards. She always tried to make me befriend different people and she wants me to chat with 50+ year old women whom I'm not even related to because of how great they are. She tried to justify the fact that my boyfriend's dad abused him with the fact that he dressed in an alternative way. Telling her won't stop her and I tried to judge her back too, to show her how it feels but nothing seems to help.

I met this girl at a summer job & we became friends. We started going out with mutual friends & got close. We have intense eye contact. We play fight, sit on each other's laps. We hold hands when we're alone or crossing the street. She used to invite me over to her house when her parents slept, to chill and cuddle in bed. Then she'd sneak me out by morning. I took an uber last night with this guy who I'd just met-- he was a friend of a friend. At this point we'd both had 4+ glasses of wine each. When all the sudden he grabs my thigh and tuns my face towards his direction and sticks his tongue down my throat. I pushed him away but he had a full grip of my neck to the point where my neck is actually still sore the morning after. It was sort of a bizzare feeling because I'd never actually felt that weak before--when I tried to push him off it was as if I had barely any upper body strength. Any who, not a huge deal since all he tried to do was make out.. BUT it kind of made me wonder as to why he wouldn't back off when I clearly wanted no part. Perhaps it was because we'd both been drinking all night? has anyone else experienced the same?

Hey, So I was wondering if it's illegal or not to kinda, eh, "stalk" this girl that I kinda like on Instagram. Like she's one of my former friends but I do kinda still miss her a bit since we've parted ways at college, so usually each day I like just view her social media profile just to kind of see how she's doing. I don't message her, follow her in real life, or do anything that would be classified as "harassment." We haven't talked in months in person, but I'm a little concerned that somehow she'll see that I'm viewing her Instagram profile frequently and then report me to the police, who'll then arrest me for "cyberstalking" or whatnot. Anyways, I'm starting to really freak out, and I'm concerned that frequently viewing her profile will somehow get me arrested....HELP! I DONT WANNA GO TO JAIL!! Am I breaking any laws by frequently viewing/stalking her social media page? AGAIN, I am NOT messaging her, texting her, commenting, or hurling threats or anything. I have NO malicious intent, and i am not repeatedly calling or harassing her in anyway. Apart from how "obsessed" or "weird" this may be in and of itself, is it illegal? I'm worrying that I might be behind bars and that somehow I'm gonna ruin my life by getting arrested. Is it possible for people on Instagram to see who views their profile? I am a girl btw. So basically my guy friend, he's a pessimisst and probably depressed said that he never gets something for christmas. I offered to maybe get him a game or something because he's a gamer and then he called me rich and spoiled? I am middle class and not some celebrity. My mom used to do this thing where she would always call the police on me. She would call them over everything and would call them all the time. She'll call them like twice a week. She would always play victim and make them fight her fights for her, even crying and making up lies when she had no excuse. Then she'll make them take me to a mental hospital where I would stay in a room for 1-2 days not allowed to leave and not allowed to do anything. I missed alot of school because of this (High school). She would constantly say things like I'm autistic, I'm not normal, I have problems, there's something wrong with me. Then one day she sent me to some mental health facility where I stayed there for over two months for no ******* reason. When I returned to school there were so many rumors and gossip about me. She so dramatic and overreacts to everything.

So anyway I felt embaressed because they must have seen! So I went and clobbered it until it was drained for 10 mins but then ppl asked if i was ok cos for the rest of the day I was/looked so tired.

Me and my best friend have been friends for a few years. We've had our arguments but got over them eventually. But we're arguing again over something that doesn't even matter all too much, and nobody really did anything wrong. She called me out for whatever I did, swore at me and told me to grow up, and ignored me after reading my lengthy and genuine apology. After reflecting for a bit, I've noticed that I'm the only one who typically apologizes, even when she's the one at fault. She has a tendency to be really judgmental and claims she's "brutally honest". When I come to her with my problems, she responds with a simple "I'm sorry", which sometimes is usually enough to suffice, but it happens more often than not and it greatly contrasts the support I give her when she's struggling. A lot of little things have been warning me that maybe we're just not a good match, but she's my only friend and I'd hate to have no one. Should I break off the friendship, or wait to see how this plays out?

I know they like me and that they are there to support me and stuff, but I just get those moments where I have a little voice telling me stuff like "See? They're ignoring you again. They find you obnoxious". Most of the time, it is when someone just sees my text and doesn't reply, it can happen in the middle of a conversation online. Instead of believing that they're probably busy, I'm just thinking that I'm annoying or that I did/ said something wrong. It's really when I feel ignored or rejected that I have those impressions. Yes, I do agree that it sounds childish of me or whatever, I've had those feelings since I was a kid.

Everyone seems to act particularly weird around me. Like they are angry and ignoring me. When I mean everyone I mean EVERYONE like complete strangers. My sister hates everybody I talk to! She says that I treat everybody else so much better than her and she should be the one who is treated like a queen. And she also says that I think more highly of my friends than I do of her. And she'll often embarass me in front of my friends by asking who they are and why they don't talk to her too. Every time I do something by mistake, she says I do it on purpose and that I am lying too her. Is that gaslighting?

I went to a party with my friends and long story short I ended up getting too drunk. I am a guy and my best guy friend put me in the shower in case I puked. I ended up throwing up on my clothes and he took me out of them to help me shower and put me in new ones. Now obviously during all this he saw me naked and my penis.
