This kid would always throw things at me, say really hurtful things to me, take videos of me, and whenever I told the teacher on him or principal they didn't do much, on top of that he would call me snitch. He did this to me for 2 months straight and I would tell the principal or teacher everyday what's going on and they didn't really care. I never did anything to him either which makes me mad. I was to scared to stand up for myself and I let him walk all over me. After summer school was over he ended up having my cousin for one of his classes during the school year. He was jerk to her to but she knew how to stand up for herself unlike me. I kept this to myself at home for many months I eventually told my cousin and we talked to the principal about it. The principal talked to him and he stopped bothering me and my cousin after that. I'm happy he stopped bothering us but I'm mad he never got in trouble for anything shouldn't he be accountable for any of his actions? I'm not the same person I was 6 months ago I'm able to finally stand up for myself and I have confidence. I'm not sure if I should fight him or just let this go. I guess I want to know what others would do in my current situation. Btw I'm a junior in high school if that helps. |

He was at one point my best friend but then he moved and we grew apart. But we still exchanged text and on these text he would ignore me unless we were talking about something that had to do with him. He also only talks about himself 24/7. The friendship really started getting to me when if I talked about anything going on in my life he got mad. I attempted cutting off the friendship around two months ago by saying we should probably take a break from eachother for a small while. (We had gotten into a big fight before hand.) Then he started making me feel terrible for trying to pause the friendship by saying things like how upset he was and how he's changed so much because he hadn't been around my friends and I. I didn't know how to respond so we ended up still talking like we usually do. But our talks are so all over the place. One minute he's the nicest person ever and the next he's extremely rude. The friendship is now just tiring and feels like more of a task then actual fun and I don't know how to cut this off for good this time. Will someone please help |

She asked when she should use a specific product so everyone started throwing out suggestions and I wrote down the way I was taught to use that product in school. She read my comment and said "well I have my license because I know the correct way. Just saying" with an attitude and other people found it funny and I got very embarrassed about that...idk why she gave me an attitude so I wrote back "sorry I was just trying to help" and she became all nice and said "it's ok girl I'm just stating facts".....idk am I overreacting? I'd prefer to be partying with a load of people when the clock strikes midnight but that's just not possible. I had thought I'd go to the annual carnival but it's not on this year and I'm struggling to find any other fee events. I'm a woman so it's all the more difficult to find ways of celebrating on my own, but I really don't want to just sit in the house being bored and depressed. I thought I'd maybe pop into the bar up the road (which I've never been in before but always seems busy with a younger crowd) at round 11:30pm just to have a drink or two, but I'm worried how pathetic I'd look or how awkward it may be standing all alone while everyone else is partying. |

I really care a lot about this friend and want to tell him how important he has been. We have been friends four years and he is the only friend that always says "yes" when I ask to go somewhere. Since I have so few friends, I want to let him know that I appreciate him a lot, and no matter what I will do anything I can for him, any time. It may look easy for someone to just tell their best friend that, but the problem is we are both guys and I am also 15yrs older then him. I do not want to come across as gay or weird or creepy by saying what I feel, and I never talk that way towards guys because it feels awkward. I have never had a close friend like this before and I never open up. This is the only person I really have that I have ever been able to open up to about my depression and PTSD and other stuff. He knows I have issues and still stands by me. He is in his early 20s and me in my late 30s, ,but he just stays around and understands even with the age gap. I cannot believe anyone would do that for me, and it makes me feel so much better. He has been like a younger brother too me and a person who listens. I watched my real younger brother die in his 20s. I have always wanted him back, and now it is like I have something so close to that again. I really want to make sure I do not lose that ever again. |

B4 then we were always best friends hit each other up every day and did everything together. Now that he's gone to college and joined a fraternity he didn't reach out to me for a full year. And in that year some of my other friends have gotten txts from him like, "Yoo r u trying to come up for holloween parties". He never once asked me to come visit him I've always had to ask him. Another thing to factor in here is that I am actually gay and I told him That not too long b4 he went away to college. The thing is that I actually did have a crush on him especially in hs he initiated little things like playing footsie, always sitting close to me, put his arm around me a lot, we r always touching each other,and play fighting. When I told him I was gay, I asked if he was too and he said no he despises gays. So with that in factor, for 3 years he's been in college not once has he invited me to come down there. On my end, there were no romantic feelings, just a person I trusted. We would hang out every week.He was battling a chronic illness and with only a few college courses a semester,he had plenty of time to devote to our friendship. After moving away for uni, he transformed from the sweet guy who put other people first to someone I don't really recognize anymore. We were drifting apart with distance.But nothing prepared me for the moment I almost lost him.His illness progressed and he almost died. In that moment,I realized that he is the person I can't imagine living in this world without. Fast forward to now, we are both dating great people. I could see him possibly even marrying the girl he is currently with.I'm realizing that if I continue to hold on to memories I had with my best friend and the happiness he's brought me in those times, no one else stands a chance and it's making it nearly impossible for me to be happy. Jake* and I barely see each other or talk nowadays and I miss him so much that it hurts. I know our friendship is no longer the one we had in high school and we're grown adults now. I'm a freshman in high school and want to start a new reputation. In middleschool I was friends with with this one kid (who I now realize I don't really like) and just sort of stayed under the radar. I was " acquaintances" with quite a few people but never really hung out with them. All my elementary school friends all went to another school and became a popular kid. The couple friends that went to my current school also became popular. Me and the kid who is dragging me down became two invisible students. I would really like to start high school off by making new friends, but the kid I mentioned really is dragging me down. He's gross, showers every like third day, and is frankly a dick to everyone he meets. I want to stop being friends with him but he just follows me around. I actually KNOW he is trying to bring me down to his level by calling me ugly and **** to make it seem like I'm more like him. I just need him to leave me alone. The problem is that she has most of the photos because there was a flood at my house and literally everything basically died. Posted: 29 Dec 2017 11:55 PM PST So basically he was at my house and he wanted my toad pet which I didn't really like so I asked my parents if he could take it home with him bc he lives across the street and my mom said no so I told my friend sorry and he literally grabbed the cage with the toad inside and ran to his house and I ran after him and I screamed at him so he slapped my face and grabbed my toad from the cage and stepped on it and killed it and smashed the cage on me and kicked me in the stomach and hit me and slapped me so I ran into my house and told my parents and now we don't see him anymore but I'm still really upset what can I do! He needs to be punished |

I'm going to be home until August and I desperately need to find a girlfriend or a new friend group to hang out with until then. Most of my current friends are at college, so I'm kind of isolated right when it comes to people my age. I really want to find someone to hang out with but don't really know where to start. It's so easy to meet people in college but now that I'm back home I don't really know where the best place to meet people is. If anyone could give me some tips on what to do or where to go that'd be awesome. I plan on getting a job soon so hopefully I can meet some people there but I don't know. Thanks! |
| Question: Should I break up with my boyfriend for hanging out with his friends on my birthday? Posted: 29 Dec 2017 11:22 PM PST so, my birthday is on New Years. We go to the same college but we live in different towns- he lives in the college town, I live about two hours away I'm going to spend New Years Eve in the college town because I want to go to a party with my roommates and their boyfriends (my small hometown doesn't have anything exciting going on) however, my boyfriend would rather hang out with his friends (a group that includes both guys and girls, but not me, apparently) It may seem petty, but I'm really hurt by this. Having a birthday on a holiday, I've always had to convince people to care, beg them to hang out with me, and remind them 1000 times. I always feel really lonely on my birthday even though I'm a generally happy person! It's a big deal to me. Plus, I thought New Year's Eve was generally a holiday people wanted to spend with their significant other. He knows how much this means to me. He refuses to change his plans because he already committed. He says he'll hang out with me on the day after. But I just don't understand- it's not like he didn't know that New Years was my birthday. That was a thing way before his party was planned Should I break up with him? I feel like I deserve to be with someone who wants to make me feel special and to spend my birthday with me, knowing how important it is I don't want gifts or elaborate surprise parties or anything else- I literally just want someone to voluntarily spend time with me Am I being petty though? |

I didn't have much friends in high school because of anxiety and repression, I was going through a lot at home. Even still, I didn't like most of the people I went to high school with because most were fake and annoying. So basically, I only have a small group of friends, However, most of them do not communicating with me as we did back in high school. The only problem, I have is that they communicate with each other a whole lot more than me. For example, Amber wouldn't talk to me for days because she was feeling down. But, Jared will tell me he talked to her recently and how she went to a party etc..(that's pretty much the whole group). Im never invited to their houses, yet they always are seeing each other and I know they talk down about me. About how "strange" I am and how "dumb" I am. (Maybe I am, I didn't have much friends in any school I went to.) Maybe it's because our interest and personalities are exactly the same. I like the same things they do, but those things don't make me who I am. I guess that Why? |

She's very competitive about looks and everything. I know she's rude to ppl and sometimes apologizes but not usually. She always complains on how ugly she is even though she knows she's not, she is fishing for compliments. She always makes fat jokes about herself, once again even though she brags how skinny she is, once again a little tiny stick. She's constantly talking about how faster her hair grows than mine and how much longer hers is even though it's not. She wants her second ear piercing but her parents won't let her. I asked my mom and she let me get mine. My friend doesn't know about it yet and I don't want her to be salty towards me because I have something that her parents wouldn't let her get. |

A few months ago my son was sick and she never asked the following day if he was feeling better etc. But when her dog got sick I always kept up to date asking how she was doing etc. And here again my son is sick and she hasn't even bothered to ask if he was feeling better. or how he is doing etc. I'm starting to notice that she seems to always put herself first. That she doesn't seem care about anything going on in my life but she wants to me to take pride in her life. I always wish her luck on her job interviews, asking how she is doing, and I seem to always take an interest in her life but she doesn't in mine. What should I do?
