Question: Married men, what would you think if your single, female friend did this? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 09:37 PM PST I have a friend who used to be my boss. He is married and has a family. I respect that and am very supportive of it. I've known him a year and a half, we've only been friends roughly 9 months. I've had feelings for him on and off the whole time I've known him. We both are no longer working there, but left at different times. We see each other 2-3 times a month at church. We used to flirt a lot when we worked together, but it has tone down a lot. He's been extremely generous this year and has asked for nothing in return. His wife has even helped me out a couple times. She and I aren't friends per se, but we're cool with each other. I decided to pay them back for their generosity by giving them and their kids some presents for Christmas. Now, my friend is a smart man...very smart. I'm not convinced he knows how I feel about him, but I sense he might know. My friends and family say I'm "transparent" when I have feelings for somebody (yet oddly enough, my family hasn't figured out my feelings for him even though I talk about him at least once a week) Also, I have recently started referring to him as "bro" or as "the big brother I never had". Anyways, them and their kids opened their gifts today and were very appreciative. If you're a married guy, what would you think if your single, female friend gave you and your family all these gifts? Especially if you're not SUPER close. |
Question: My Wife's friends don't like me and she wants me to visit them? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 09:09 PM PST My wife and I briefly broke up 3 months into our relationship when we first dated. I felt like she was moving too fast (already talking about loving me), I spazzed out and ended it. I realized I was acting foolish and apologized, we got back together and about a year later we married. Her besties still hold a grudge against me for this. We go hang out and they immediately walk past me like I don't exist and hug her. This has happened twice. They've made it clear they could care less about me and I don't hold any ill will. No one has to like me the only opinions that matter to me are those of her and my family. But she wants to visit them and I'm fine with her going but I make time for people who reciprocate friendship. Am I wrong for not going with her? She sorta understands but at the same time she wants me there too. |
Question: Is it wrong to invite your ex boyfriend/girlfriend to your wedding? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 07:35 PM PST My friend had a wedding last weekend, and invited me and his ex girlfriend but his ex rejected the invitation. I don't know why he invited her, when they broke up and she doesn't like him anymore. |

Question: Is it wrong to be attracted to someone else if you are totally faithful in your marriage? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 06:39 PM PST It's not that I don't love my husband , I love him immensely and I never want to do anything that would wreck my marriage but it's just that our bond seems to have weakened a bit . We argue more than usual , we haven't had a heartfelt conversation in ages and then he judges me a lot , which actually starts the arguments and ultimately makes me want to not be around him . Then there is this guy at work , we have been working together for almost six months now . He makes me feel so comfortable and happy , no judgements, he is so much fun to be with . I actually look forward to his company each day . I haven't cheated on my husband nor do I have any plans to do so but then I also want this guy to be there too , at work so that there is someone I can be happy and free with . What I am doing , is all of this wrong ?? |

Posted: 25 Dec 2017 12:58 PM PST I've been marry for 11 years (2 kids) I've always have a passion for traveling but my husband not so much. I've been planing a trip to Europe for the last two years. 7 days to 10 days the most. I brought it up to my husband the other day and it was a big discussion. He got very upset and said that my priorities are in the wrong place, why I want to go along,? ( I've saved enough for my trip)He doesn't understand that it just something I want to do. Every time I bring it up her reacts the same way and even said "No" which made me feel very angry. This is a marriage not a dictatorship. I love him but can't make him understand that I really want to do this. How do I proceed? |

Question: Can spousal support be denied after divorce do to health and dissability? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 10:47 AM PST Long stort: 5 years ago my mother's husband (not my father) was an alcoholic, abusive man. She was about to serve him divorce paper and then he was in a motorcycle accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Sher felt guilty about leaving him so she stayed and helped him recover. Everything changed. He found Jesus, stopped drinking and stopped hitting her. It was amazing. Problem is, his brain only functions on the level of a 12 year old at best so he is incapable of leading a life without help on my mother was okay with staying with him. Now, some bad influences are making their way back into his life. He was resumed drinking and while the violence hasn't come back(yet) he does threaten her if he doesn't get his way. She wants to resume the divorce proceedings but she is affraid the judge will deny spousal support (she has a job but it doesn't pay well so they rely on his company's long term dissabillity check) because he cannot live on his own. Is there anything she can do? |
Question: To not like the way my adult son does his laundry ? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 10:03 AM PST I feel like he is completely helpless to do anything without my help. He isn't doing the clothes correctly. He does everything half assed. My wife asked me to leave him alone, because the other day I ruined two of his really good suits by putting bleach in after he asked me to mind my own business. His stupid fiancée almost asked to leave if I am going to keep stirring up trouble. I kept coming into the kitchen every five minutes to check on her cookie decorating. It took her a half a hour to decorate Christmas cookies. He didn't put clothes in the dryer right after they were washed, I am mad about that.We had a big fight the other day because of the bleach thing. My wife thinks I am bored being retired and need a hobby. I have a hobby worrying if everyone is doing everything the correct way. I do this with everyone I want to make they are doing everything correctly. People don't appreciate my constructive criticism at all. He doesn't live with me. I am visiting him and his fiancée at their home. |
Question: Is my mother in law right is it wrong to make my daughter pay me rent? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 08:38 AM PST I purchased a 2nd home in North Carolina. It's a townhouse paid $116,000. My daughter and her husband are going to live there for a year until we retire iand they purchase a house. They plan to pay us rent plus HOA fees. In total we are charging them $500 a month not much. My mother in law seems to think it's unfair to ask my daughter and husband for rent since we don't have a mortgage and feels we should only be charging them the HOA fees.Honestly can't stand my mother in law. She always has an opinion about something I'd like to tell her to butt out but its Christmas. Is she right this time? Am I wrong to charge them money? |
