Posted: 07 Dec 2016 09:19 AM PST I ve constantly invited them to my dress fittings and they have failed to show up. They rave up and down they love me , but has been proven the complete opposite this whole wedding planning process. They have not even reached out asking about the wedding or making sure I am okay or if I need anything. What should I do?? maybe say my friends surprised me? Help!!! |
Question: Wedding Dance Song for Daughter/Step-Dad? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 08:26 AM PST I'm looking for a song for my daughter and her soon to be step-dad to dance to at our wedding. She will be 7 when we get married. Thanks! |
Question: Former brides: what do you regret about your wedding? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 06:39 AM PST Thought this would be helpful to upcoming brides. Me: not including enough family in posed professional photographs. Not practicing different poses for the photo booth (sounds stupid but I mean it) Not calling my invitees who I didn't receive an RSVP from. Two people showed up without returning an RSVP. It either got lost in the mail or they forgot but either way I wish I had followed up to confirm not received RSVPs are nos. Under tipping the bridal attendant. Letting the best man speak off the cuff (in other words not making him show us the speech beforehand and approve of it. It's our money and our relatives/coworkers/friends, our best man really should've been censored. And it's unfixable. Over tipping the maitre d. |
Question: Is it inappropriate to ask friends to be personal attendants? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 04:14 AM PST I'm getting married next October, and my fiance (Eli) and I are in the process of planning it all. I've run into a couple struggles, though. 1) I'm an EXTREMELY detail oriented/planned out person. I've been in 7 weddings the past 2 years (yes, 7), and have helped plan/coordinate several of them. When it comes to our wedding, though, Eli is concerned that I won't be able to enjoy the day and be present in the moment if I'm constantly worrying about everything going right. Any bride has this fear, but with my predisposition to perfectionism, I think he's right. 2) I have a large-ish group of close girl friends. In order to keep the wedding party reasonable in size and meaning, we chose to have only 2 friends and 2 relatives (each) stand up. I'm not regretting having not asked my other girl friends, but I know some were a little down (no ones been rude or anything though) since I stood up in their weddings. Not really my problem, but hey, i have feelings So, with these two issues, I thought of the idea of asking 2 more of my gfs to be personal attendants. 1- to help with any issues/needs on wedding day only (i'll do everything before that) and 2- to still be part of the event by coming to the rehearsal dinner, on the party bus, and be in pictures. I also thought 2 would be a good idea because they are the next 2 I'm closest with, and then they have each other to be with instead of one person on their own doing favors/errands/etc. CONSTRUCTIVE thoughts? |
Question: Where Can i buy Inexpensive, somewhat real looking Baby's Breath (Gypsophila)? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 03:32 AM PST What is a good website or place i can buy Artificial/ Fake Baby's breath (Gypsophila). I am looking for something that doesn't look completely fake (plastic) I need a bunch for decoration. (wedding ceremony/bouquet/ center piece)... and preferably inexpensive |
Question: Was i wrong to do this? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 09:52 AM PST So my soon to be sister in law's sister is throwing her a bachelorette party in January and she wanted us to RSVP. I sent mine lastt week saying i would not be going and I said it was because she didn't attend my bachlorette party. I will also not be attending the bridal shower for the same reason. Since she's so selfish to not attend my pre-wedding events then there is no reason for me to attend hers. So I was wrong for doing this? |
Posted: 07 Dec 2016 05:20 AM PST My brother's fiance had me doing gun powder burned wood place holders for their nature themed wedding. This is not the cheapest project but I agreed because I was told I would be reimbursed for most of the materials and it was for family. Now 130 place holders later I am told I am not getting reimbursed for any materials as the wedding budget has exceeded expectation. And now I am being asked to provide more of the decor as they cannot have it "professionally" done. I now have to do 3 large portraits (60"*72"), head table name plate (12"*42"), the arch photo back drop (120"*120"), decorative cake table with cake pedestal (48"*48"*60") and table center pieces (35). And I would have to supply all the materials not to mention time. The wedding is in 4 months this will take almost all of my free time. I am a carpenter by trade. It wouldn't be nearly as expensive but my brother's fiance is insisting on expensive woods. I wood (I'm pun-y) be down to give it as a gift, knowing it would get the word of business out, but she has made her point clear that I can't brand my emblem on any piece even on the bottom. |
