We've had little talks of marriage for the future but I am worried because at times I have resentment towards him because he makes much less than me and I pay most of the bills at our apartment. (I make about 70K and he makes 30K). I do not always feel this way, it comes and goes but I would really like to know how to get rid of this feeling that I wish he would make the same amount of money as me or equal. In gym, we were playing volleyball. Several times he had blocked me to get a ball that should have been mine, and I was starting to get irritated. I wondered if he was that competitive that he would actively stop me from touching the ball, but I'm not the worst there (still bad tho). I then thought, "maybe he's trying to help me?" I wasn't sure. Later, in tennis, he always chose the court next to mine if it wasn't taken. In Spanish, we sit facing each other about 5-7ish feet apart. I realized that we were making eye contact several times, to the point that I avoided looking at him. This has continued and happens quite often. There are other things, like handing me some papers from the printer while I was on my way there, saying "I think this is what you're looking for," then leaving right away. Today, my ball ended up on the other side of the gym in his court and he tried to pass it back to me in a fancy way, but it just got caught in the net. His friends kinda teased him in a way guys do in front of their friends crush, but I can't be sure. I don't want to make assumptions, because he hasn't really talked to me. Johnny can be a bit quiet and reserved, though I feel like this isn't enough to go on. But I have a gut feeling about him. I'd be interested in him for sure if I was more sure about him. I was very hesitant because we had been broken up for a few months and weren't getting along, but we still talked and I do still care about him deeply. I ended up going to see him and it was a mistake. We ended up not getting along, so I called his mom and she said I could stay there for the weekend. His brother Tyler, rents the basement apartment of his parent's place. I had met him before and always thought there was an attraction there, but respected those boundaries. The first night there, Tyler and I hung out all night talking and laughing. We watched shows were up talking and laughing all night. We spent the weekend together hanging out. We have a lot in common and he makes me nervous and gives me butterflies. But then he also makes me feel so comfortable. There are no awkward silences. On my last night there, he was the one who drove me to the bus station and he waited over an hour for my bus to arrive. We just sat and talked the whole time. She'd call, FaceTime, and text me all day non stop. She had total control over things and constantly planned stuff for us to do. We kissed, held hands, and cuddled a few times. But out of nowhere that all stopped. I think the main reason is because her mother was diagnosed with cancer. I've tried for a good month now to make her happy and make her feel like she can confide in me. Things just aren't like they used to be, and I don't completely understand why. He is going back to school next fall to be a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). The schedule and schooling is tedious and he has to move away a few hours while I will remain here in my hometown. He admits he will get very distant and stressed out once school comes around and he is not certain what to do about our relationships because he cannot undergo any uncertainties with us (ie: breaking up or having conflicts while doing school work that would interfere in any negative way). I understand his point of view and know how important this schooling is for his future and what I thought would be our future eventually. However, as understanding as I want to be - part of me feels like he is giving up on a great thing with me. And part of me thinks he is wondering my feelings....seeing if I care and say no I will stick it out til the end? But I really feel he's just letting go because its easiest. I am a great person and have a lot to offer someone. I know he is aware of this, but he thinks maybe we should part while he is away so he doesn't have the risk of anything happening. His insecurities may get the best of him while he is away worrying about what I am doing. Bottom line: Do you think we could make this work? I, too, am a busy nurse in school. Last Thursday, i invited him to go roller skating and he said he was busy and had practice for sports. then the day after on Friday, in class, his friends kept looking at me and then after class, he walked out after me, not knowing i was right there and i heard him say something about me i am not sure what. once he saw i noticed him talking about me, he instantly stopped. then yesterday when his best friend requested to follow me on Instagram and when i accepted it, the next day (today) my crush kept looking at me and smiling and whispering to his friends about me. also he figured out where i eat at lunch and when i walked it, he was hiding around the corner and only his face peeking around the corner staring at me and i gave him this look like "what are u doing" and his face got red and he turned back hiding from me and started smiling. then i sat down (by myself as usual) and he started showing off playing ping-pong and then sat in his seat and stared at me for a straight like 3 minutes and smiling and his face was all red. it was cute, i smiled back and my face was red and stuff also. he kept saying things to his friends and they kept looking at me, so he was obviously talking about me. what do you think this means? also Christmas break starts Friday and i dont know how to get ahold of him. how do i start talking to him? please advice? thanks! |

We dated throughout college but have only started living together after I graduated in the spring. We use to have a pretty steamy sex-life, where if we had the house to ourselves we couldn't stop ourselves. It was like that for the first few months after I moved in, and then it began to decline, and then it got to the point where we would only have sex if I asked him (and I am very shy, so I am not very confident in asking). After the last time I asked, I swore I wouldn't initiate it next time, and now it has been three months. I understand that in long-term relationships it is kinda normal for you sex drive together to decline, but this can't be healthy. It's like we are just roommates now, no intimacy. It's really difficult for me to talk about, so I am wondering if anyone has some advice for how a pretty shy person to approach this subject. |

I've never had a girlfriend but I have made out with a girl and have had a few opportunities to have sex, but not a relationship. I'm the type of boyfriend who'll give my girlfriend a lot of kisses, hugs, and cuddle with her when it's "that time of month", text her good morning and good night, hold her in my arms when we sleep, and have her fall asleep on top of me or fall asleep on my lap. But not a lot of people know that about me, I have the "always angry" face. I really want a girlfriend but I'm also VERY worried because I have a lot of medical issues, I have stage 4 kidney failure, asthma, scoliosis, I have to catheterize and leave a catheter in place when I go to sleep. Also I have a major scar all across my stomach and back. It scares me to get in a relationship because what would she think of me when she finds out. So I don't know if I can get in a relationship or not. What do you guys think? |
