My mother and stepfather have just split up for the fifth time since June 2015. I absolutely hate my stepfather, but my mom refuses to divorce him. My family, (me, my husband, and my seven year old daughter from a previous marriage) moved back in with my widowed father about a year ago, at his request. The idea was to save up for a house, but my husband lost his job, and my father is in poor health and retired, so it looks like we're here for awhile, as I'm not willing to leave my dad to his own devices after losing my mom.
