I'm 24 years old and every single day my relatives would call up my mother just to bit** about me to her. Why is Joey dating a ****, why does Joey wear his hair like that, why does Joey have such a bad temper, why does Joey listen to such god awful music, why is Joey working at Wendys and not a real job, why does Joey dress like that, why does Joey keep bashing the family on facebook? Well the reason I bash them daily on facebook is because as you can see they have a problem with everything about me and I'm sick and tired of hearing about it. If they don't like me fine, but keep it to yourself because its not gonna change anything but annoy me and make me hate you more. And they either don't care or don't understand that. Their husbands are huge drug addicts and have a history of violence and abuse towards them and I dont call them up and judge them for staying married to them. My second cousin is married to a man who was arrested for child molestation a long time ago and never once did I judge her or him but she just loves doing it to me.

My sister's name is Elisa. I have a psychopath sister named Kathy who stayed with her for a bit. Kathy is known in the family for lying and over exaggerating. She stayed with my sister and said to my mother that elisa is crazy and to never talk to her. so my mother did blindly without question. I'm older now and realize this is wrong. Kathy has been caught in more lies, and after my mother and I provided her and her children a home - she turned her back and told the rest of the family that my mother and I treated her poorly. which simply isn't true. my sister kathy is a psychopath, but for some reason my mother listens to her and not the good one - elisa. It makes me sad because I am not permitted to see my sister, and my sister has moved across the country. I haven't seen her in years and I fear my mom may regret not seeing my sister - and that my sister may be hurt by not seeing my mom. what should i do?

Im currently 16 and will be turning 17 in a month an a half. My boyfriend who my parents don't like wants me to move in with him when i become of the age to move out (which is 17 in my state.) Because of previous abuse of freedom, I'm no longer able to do anything. The only reason I have my computer is because I do online school. I no longer go to a semi-public school, I dont have a job anymore, I also dont have my car or phone or makeup or money or anything really. Moving in with my boyfriend at 17 grants me the freedom I want but comes at a price. He's super controlling and what I believe is emotionally abusive. He used to tell me "I hurt you because I love you." But staying at home and not moving in with him means another 12 months of isolation. I can't see my boyfriend and my only other friend i have I see maybe once every other month. I'd have to remain at home with my alcoholic father and no one else. Isolation really takes a toll on a person. I understand I did some wrong things but I'm a teenager. I make mistakes. I've tried to take up a sport but my mother won't allow me to because it interferes with her religion which she's forcing me to believe in. She forces me to go to church and bible studies. I'm really just at a loss I don't really want to live in either situation. I don't want to be completely alone for another year with the way my parents are. I know she's stressed too because of other reasons including my fathers alcohol problem. What should I do?

My GF and I have a son who's 5. She frequently works night shifts as a waitress and he misses her. To her credit, she's usually there for his bedtime routine, but, he still gets sad. She promises to be the first person he sees when he wakes up in the morning. This does little to cheer him up. I've been trying to find ways to calm him down. I have a few 1) Give him an old shirt of his mom's to sleep in 2) Simply leave clothes of hers in his room 3) Put a picture of those two by his bed. Not sure if any of these are good. Obviously my hope is that my ideas would comfort him, but, sadly I could see it backfire and serve as a reminder that she's gone. What do I do?

I am 13 years old and was masturbating in my room. My mom walked in on me just as I was about to ***. I got scared and froze, but she just smiled and said "beat it like it owes you money " and walked out. I never was cAught before and kept thinking what I was doing was wrong and disgusting. I'm 16 and my boyfriend lives in Texas while I live in Indiana. I really want to visit him over the summer, and he offered to pay for my ticket (but I'm going to pay for a hotel, as I wouldn't be very comfortable staying with him). He has visited me quite a few timed, but I want to visit him because I want to see him and also because I want to travel, since I've never been as far as outside of the city. The only thing is is that my family won't allow me to, and I know that I'm under their roof, but I really just want to do something by my own will for once. I even asked them to just come with me, or if I can take my my sister, one of my brothers, my friend, etc., but they still denied it. I know that they're fearful, I'd be too, but I just don't see why they can't just come with me. I'd even help pay for everything... How do I handle this?

I want my kids to leave. They're in 11th grade home schooled. They won't leave. They don't have any money and when I tell them get a job, they say how they say they don't want to because they don't feel safe walking on the narrow side of the road as there isn't much room and cars zoom by. I don't want to buy them a bike, going into town is 13 miles away and they refuse to walk on the side of the road. I am not teaching them how to drive they don't have a learners permit. It is not worth the money and obviously the public transportation is in town 13 miles away. Why are they like this? Who is in the wrong?

I am 18 and i have not much experience with looking after kids. I am baby sitting my gf little sister while her and her family are away. I'm suppose to be looking after her for two days which i thought would be okay. I put on frozen dvd on for her gave her a few snacks and i thought that would keep her busy the whole day, while i play my xbox. Then she kept interrupting me while im playing my game, asking me to take her christmas shopping, and she kept asking me about santa and what do you think hes gonna get her.. it was getting so annoying and she wouldn't shut up while i played. It got to the point where i said santa is not real hes fake and her parents are the ones who eat the cookies and put the presents under the tree. I regret doing this now cause now shes going MAD!! crying hysterical, writing on the walls, breaking her gifts she got last Christmas and trying to pull down the xmas tree, and she keeps trying to fight me. Iv currently locked her in her room cause i don't want her to damage anything but shes still going mad. I Tried bribing her with money and snacks but not working. So, im a normal 14 year old boy, and i work very hard at school and get good grades. I am a semi-pro musician, and have got lots of friends. But my parents wont let me use my computer, for anything, except work. I like playing games occasionaly, and like watching youtube videos. But whenever my parents see me doing anything else than work on my computer, they will take it away, and keep it until i need it for school. I dont understand why, and i ask them: "Why are you doing this, i am just trying to relax, after a hard school day". They're reply is nearly always:" oh well why dont you just read a book or something, you're too clever to be playing a game. Its stupid and you will get nowhere". I just cant stand it and my family dont seem to appreciate, all the good things i do. I really need help, because i am getting bad suicidal thoughts and just cant stand it anymore. I woke up this morning and took a shower. I told my pre-teen she needs to take one and should while the room is still warm (we are in a cold snap). She promised she would take one later. I told her flat out I wanted no complaints "later". It is now 3pm and I told her to take one. She has had her video games in her face all day plus had the TV on. She whined and complained saying "do I haaaave tooo?" She told me she is busy and right in the middle of her games, started escalating. I took her Nintendo DS right out of her hands and shut it off in the middle of the game. I also shut off the TV and took the DS. I hate to be like this. I explained to her we compromised and said no complaining. How else can I show her who is boss?

So my family, as most families have, has had a lot of disfunction, turbulence, ups and downs you name it. As soon as my little sister turned 18 she ran off, joined the navy, and recently got married. My family can not stand her husband and he does not like us due to all the things my sister has obviously told him about our family. Which mind you his parents are raging alcoholics and he was even born with health issues because of his mother drinking while she was pregnant with him so therefore he really has no room to judge. He s also very needy and controlling of my sister which I don t like. We know he s always in her ear telling her things....But here s the problem my sister does not respect us I know the line of trust is broken with her. I wasn t very nice to my sister at times when were growing up and I feel very bad for it. So I understand. But it s sad she seems to favor and respect his family more than her own. I would just like to know how me and my family can earn back her respect and trust and make it so our words mean something to her??

I don't talk to my family anymore, haven't for a couple of years. The reason I stopped talking to them is because they bullied me when I was growing up, and they were verbally & sometimes physically abusive. I just moved away and didn't make any effort to call them. They call and text me all the time, but I don't respond, and I don't care to speak to them.

When I was first married to Joan, her mother Lisa helped us out financially. That was many years ago. We never paid her back the money she gave us. Fast forward to the present. Joan and I had a friendly divorce and she has remarried. I am in a MUCH better financial position now than when we were first married. I have evolved over the years and I now believe that it is the morally right thing to do to pay Lisa back the money she gave/loaned us with interest. I did this by depositing the money directly into her bank account so no one else had access to this money. All of my friends that know what I did tell me I am crazy for doing this. They tell me I did not owe Lisa anything. Even my ex wife Joan are unhappy that I gave this money to her mother because she said I made her and her new husband look bad as they don't have any money to give to her mom. Does what I did sound crazy to you?

He does not want to see me because my mother is mad at him for drinking and divorced him. However, he gets together with his other two kids. This hurts me so much that I have even had suicidal thoughts because of it (not that I actually would kill myself). My mother is of some help but she just insults him when I bring it up and becomes more mad at him. How do I get myself not to care? I am scared his family doesn't like me either because of whatever he tells them. Family estrangement is really hard at the holidays and I am only 17 so I am sure it will get worse.

Holidays are when my Dad's family gets together and my siblings and I don't go because my Dad is an alcoholic and my Mom says he doesn't love us. So we don't get to go see his family either. We just see her and her family. I worry when I grow up my cousins on that side will think less of me as "the son who never saw his father" when actually it is my Mom not letting us go and my Dad not getting help. I'm a senior in high school who has recently decided that following my graduation, I will be moving out of state and taking classes either at a community college or online until I attend a four year university, I'm calling it a gap year even though it technically isn't. My dad is fine with it and has offered to pay for my classes and help me move out, however, my mum is furious since I'm not immediately attending a four year school but will be leaving home regardless. I have saved up several thousand in order to pay rent, utilities, gas, insurance etc until I'm able to find a job in my new area, but my mum dropped a bomb on me last night telling me she intends on having me take care of my car payment. Not a big deal for most people, but I have a BMW that's only half way payed off, not to mention my car payment (since it's on a fairly aggressive plan) is $500 a month, not something I can really afford to pay while first moving out/getting a job. This is only a hundred less than what my rent will be. I can not be paying the same for a car as I am on rent. The car was previously my father's and when I got my license it was given to me and he got a new car. This car was a GIFT for passing my driving test, and now my mum is trying to dump the last $20,000 they owe on it on me, as a form of punishment for leaving them and pursuing a life two states over. I would not be paying off this car if I attended a four year school immediately, I wouldn't even be paying off this car if I stayed at home and took courses at the community college near my house. My mother is only trying to get me to pay for this car so I'll be forced to come back home three months after I leave because I can no longer afford to be on my own. And for the record, the only reason I'll be taking this year off is so I can figure out that the major I will be going into (photography) will be right for me, and so I won't be spending $40,000 a year at university on a degree I won't even use. I will also have another year to work on my art/photograohy and apply into programs with a stronger portfolio. However, I know if I spend the year at home I won't be as productive and will be too reliant on my parents, since they'll be paying for me.

My dad comes in my room after my moms asleep and will like rub my stomach and my hip bones and tell me in too skinny and sit next to me on the floor. I love them, but sometimes they drive me nuts. My mom says the wrong things at the wrong time, we always end up arguing. So yesterday my mom, sisters, and i went to a concert. Then we went to a diner. Anyways, we all packed up our food to take home because there was so much leftover. I asked my mom before we left if she remembered to take her food. She told me my sisters had it. Today, my mom asked me if i took her food from the resturant. I reminded her what i asked her before we left and her response. She tells my my sisters didnt have her food either so because my moms food didnt make it home she gets mad, tells me she is angry that nobody does nice things for her etc. I made sure she had it. She also said shes done with cooking and baking, etc. I made sure she had it and she clearly remembers but chooses to be mad. Why would she be mad? She refuses to look in the back of her car where my sisters were sitting

2 months ago I smoked a lot of pot with my friends in their garage so we were totally safe, their parents were cool about, but I got so high this one night and I went inside to use the bathroom I looked at myself in the mirror and my conscience tells me "yo what the hell are you doing? You're over here smoking weed while your parents think you're At the movies like you said you would be at but no you just lied to them" I start to have an anxiety attack and I just start to cry because of my guiltiness. I confessed to my parents about it the next day, they weren't mad they were just dissapointed. My mom said she was going to drug test me but it's been two months and she still hasn't done it. I'm over at my cousins house and he wants to smoke so should I just do it?

I'm 16 and my dads married to this women and has 2 kids with her (3 and 5) but I can't stand her,him or them. He bosses me around, I feel awkward around her and the kids are always watching spongebob which gives me a headache. I'm also gonna be on my period for Christmas and will just wanna hide alone in my room but he doesn't let me, he makes me do things as a family with them like play games and watch movies and go out. They also make me sleep in the basement because my stepmom doesn't want my sister sharing a room with a teenage girl she hardly knows. My mom was very controlling and didn't support my own choices. My clothing in HS, my prom dress and such were dictated by her, as well as not letting me go to do things during my 20-23 years, isolating me in an isolated town with her without my own license and car etc. The isolation had me miss out on college because mom didnt want me to go and when she offered to help she got super controlling and we fought so much I never got enrolled. And I never had sex and my being able to meet boys wasnt an option, I havent seen a boy my age in 2 years, so until recently. Also come back to society after 2 years and everyone changed and nobody wants to do the things I wanted to do but couldnt because theyre "too old". Im going to my first music festival next year and Im too old apparently at the ripe old age of "24" Ive gotten really suicidal about this fact. Among other things. I feel super behind and I hate living life and my parents say its all my fault? :(

when my parents were together they always let me eat on the funiture go downstairs. actually live in the living room. now my stepmom is always saying get off MY furniture. and she says go somewhere else dont bother me go upstairs as if it werent my house too. the furniture is not hers its OURS. the living room is for everybody not just her. if she wants alone time maybe she could go in her room. i lived in tgis house way before she did its more of mine then hers. how do i tell her how i feel?? i love her to feath but i want it to be OUR house again

Today I woke up as usual and it was weekend so I joined my mom for breakfast as always. I said morning she said morning. So I spended a long time there along with my sis and my grandma. But I noticed my mom had an odd, angry-like tone of voice and she is complaining about everything. She was also frowning which is strange because she is usually in a happy mood. She was looking for something but she didn't find it so she asked my sister if she saw it and my sister said "no I haven't seen it around". So my mom yelled at her and said "Well go look for it again!!" We were like wtf because my mom rarely ever yells at us. She was literally mad because she couldn't find something so she blamed my sister on it. But what really freaks me out is that last night she was acting normal, I said good night and she was normal! I don't want to teach my children how to drive. I don't want to get them driving lessons. They have no one else to teach them. I threaten my wife and tell her she is not allowed to, if she mentions it I yell at cuss at her. I do the same to my sister who mentioned teaching them. I am not spending money on getting them a learners permit/license/car/insurance/ or a bike. Public transportation is a 4 hour walk from where we live(13 to 15 miles away) they refuse to walk on the side of the road because cars and it's too narrow. I have had them homeschooled since 6th grade, I stopped buying them the things they needed(work books) in 8th grade. They're supposed to be in 11th grade but have not been doing school for 3 years. I say they're in the wrong. Who do you think is in the wrong? I never celebrate their birthday's either. I punch my wife and sister every time they buy them a gift

I had some old toys and childhood keepsakes that were stored in the basement. One day, I went downstairs to the basement to search for my stuff and found out that all of stuff from my childhood are all gone! When I ask my dad about it, He just simply said, 'welll I thought you don't wan't it anymore, so I donated it to the thrift store. He just assume that I didn't want the stuff anymore without even asking me. If he doesn't want my stuff to be in his basement, he could've just tell me about it, I'm more than willing to put my stuff back into my living room. He didn't even bother to ask me about it. I really don't understand why does he do that? I was quite shocked by this because he had never done such a thing like that before. In the past, he rarely even goes through my stuff and throw my things away without asking me. My dad is a short tempered man, I was afraid to ask him for an explanation. So I asked my mom to do it for me. When my mother confronted my dad about it, he get angry, defensive and ignores her. He doesn't even bother to give any explanation.

From like last week she was mad at me since she says I have an attitude. Then I shouted at her and after that she has been giving me the silent treatment for two days until till I begged for forgiveness .She said she was going to have a long talk to me and was still mad.But then today she wanted to take me and my two younger siblings to a sports club at the beach which we always go but I didn't want to go. At the end I said yes . It was cold outside but I was hot so I wore short sleeve and a jacket .I was having a really rough week so when she told me that I couldn't wear that I got mad at her and she kept telling me to change. Then I got mad at her and I started shouting. She was so mad and then I said I wasn't going .Then she started shouting at me and said I always ruined everything for her. Then I shouted at her back .At the end she told me to put on my jacket so I could leave. So, ive grown up in this house since i was born. And when i was 6 we moved to another house which was much better. But now we moved back to this house and it feels haunted, everytime im home alone i randomly hear cabinet doors opening and they are pretty heavy to open, aswell as some voice in my head that doesn't want me to go outside. I told both my parents about this and they didn't believe me, ive reached the point where i never go outside after it's dark and barely ever stay home alone.

We don't serve alcohol but he has a way of bringing it with him and being lit when he arrives. My brother insists on still inviting him and I'd be alone if I didn't go plus I'd be shunned. My Dad is a severe alcoholic and has a way of hiding Vodka.

I'm 18 and he's 21 yet he doesn't act like it. He is so immature for his age and is the most in denial person I met in my life. What's most annoying is that no matter how wrong he is even if he knows it, he doesn't admit to it. In addition to this, no matter how old I get, I am always the younger brother and therefore automatically wrong, stupid, inexperienced in his eyes. When he left for college during my freshman year of high school, my life was amazing. My parents noticed my change in personality and how I dramatically improved academically. Our personalities are totally opposite which makes it even harder to get along. I know "all siblings fight" but it should come to an end at some point right? My issue is that anytime he does something wrong I immediately curse him out (heavily) , and when we bring it up to our parents they see me in the wrong more for cursing. I try ignoring him but always end up talking to him due to random unavoidable things. What do i do. Any advice? All i can think about is getting as far the **** (excuse my language) from him.

I had some old toys and childhood keepsakes that were stored in the basement. One day, I went downstairs to the basement to search for my stuff and found out that all of stuff from my childhood are all gone! When I ask my dad about it, He just simply said, 'welll I thought you don't wan't it anymore, so I donated it to the thrift store. He just assume that I didn't want the stuff anymore without even asking me. If he doesn't want my stuff to be in his basement, he could've just tell me about it, I'm more than willing to put my stuff back into my living room. He didn't even bother to ask me about it. I really don't understand why does he do that? I was quite shocked by this because he had never done such a thing like that before. In the past, he rarely even goes through my stuff and throw my things away without asking me. My dad is a short tempered man, I was afraid to ask him for an explanation. So I asked my mom to do it for me. When my mother confronted my dad about it, he get angry, defensive and ignores her. He doesn't even bother to give any explanation.

He is harassing every single night he comes ringing door bell and harassing dogs to bark . I affraid of him and my kids too we live in rented home and i pay rent from my own money so not shared anything with him. Reason i threw him out because he wanted to stop working ( drop out of the job and be at home and he caused problems at work ). He doesnt look after his hygiene he is always dirty smelly, he is addicted to porn and also he abuses one of my dogs as my youngest pup he is affraid of him as he hit him and did other harm even infront of me so thats the reason i feel in danger. So I just woke up to my mom hitting my sister and screaming extremely loud. She got mad because my sister tried to joke with her. She broke glass and was banging things for the last 10 minutes. I'm so scared right now, and I don't know what to do. Surprised my neighbors didn't call the police. They easily heard it. So, I am a 24 year old male. I found a roommate in Williamsburg Brooklyn for $600.00 a month. I am an inspiring artist. My plan was to move to NY or LA to pursue my dreams. Monday I plan on signing the lease. I make about $1000.00 a month at a part time job. Can I succeed? My biggest fear is being a loser in life so I decided to move out of my parents house. The house that I am currently living in is weighing me down emotionally and physically which is why I decided to just pack up and leave. There's drug dealing going on and my mom is emotionally unstable. I believe in my heart that I will be successful. My plan is just to keep my current job until 3 months after I've taken all of my vacations and then I plan on finding a job locally in NY. My sister is upset she and her girlfriend had a fight she was yelling at her. He is 9, but he's horrible. He treats me like crap. I try as hard as I can to be nice to him, and my sister. Me and my sister are much closer now, but my brother.. he takes advantage of it. And my mom dosnt do crap about it. I'm sick of it. I can't stand it. I hate him. He thinks it's his world. He gets whatever he wants. He is disgusting, rude, embarrassing, and just horrible.
