She and I are best friends, yes, and it's true that best friends mean a lot and that they're usually longer lasting than girlfriends. She's had a couple bad relationships in the past with some other girls, so I can understand how that might affect this. I've had my fair share of bad relationships, but I've always felt that having *her* as my girlfriend gave that word a new meaning to me and made it better than just a best friend or a friend. I know for a fact that she loves and cares for me, but I'm worried about this. Should I be upset with her? I've tried understanding it from her point of view but it just doesn't seem to make much sense to me. Do I ask her to keep calling me her girlfriend even though she'd be calling me a word that doesn't mean anything to her? Anyway, it seems like our conversations were running dry to me because she would reply with simple things but in a way that's just how she replies. So we were going through a drought, I would text "hey, what's up or whatever" and sometimes she would answers or text the next day. So, I decided to wait a few days and I text her back with "Hey, what are you up to," because I was on my way out to a festivity and wanted to see if she would like to go. Side note, that would be the first time we meet. She text back late @ 11-something, like I said she's an erratic texter and says she's plucking her eyebrows. And we've been really good friends for about a year and we are very close.
