Now, the reason's why I'm asking this is because firstly, this is a girl who has told me she really likes me. I told her we couldn't date due to the distance but she knows I like her back. But I'm happy with being friends and she's a really good person having a hard time in life and she keeps drinking so I'm hoping an xbox one would keep her distracted from alcohol. Either way I mean nothing by this and simply mean it as a friend, and she knows this. In your opinion, is this too much or just me being me. I would do this for any of my five good friends and she knows it too. |

My friends, my soster and grandma, my stuff, barely anything followed. I have a hard time making friends and keeping my grades up so I've decided to focus on the latter. I can never go out anywhere because no one lives near me. I've become distant from everyone else and no one seems to care. I'm overweight and I can't do much about it became I don't buy food. The guy that I am currently interested in used to talk to me daily when we first started talking. That started slowing up after a couple months which I expected. We never got a chance to hang out because he goes to a different college than mine and football took up his life in the fall, but he still showed interest. The past couple weeks of the semester we were talking almost daily again and then once finals hit (2 weeks ago) it slowed up again. So, I decided to back up and tell myself I'm probably just another friend. I've backed off a lot over the past month because I refuse to chase if he's not interested, plus he has a past with crazy girls and I want him to know I'm not like that. After not talking for over a week he came outta nowhere a couple days ago and sent me a funny video. After I replied he kept the conversation going, asking what I was up to. Usually the convo would have stopped at my reply of "haha that was too funny". So it gave me some hope. I wished him a merry christmas eve the next day over snapchat.. I looked good so why not.. no answer! Yesterday he sent me a picture of him and his 4 year old sister b/c he knows I love kids.. answered that and no answer! This was largely due to them always playing games and becoming quite vicious. Despite, I was always fond of them but always drew away once they became that way. When we first started talking all was well and then all a sudden, they were in the hospital unable to speak. Then the news, heart attack, stage 4 cancer diagnosis. This was a 64 year-old smoker. He lived with a roommate who I got to know too. I found it curious that the roommate who had a girlfriend was more interested in hitting on me more than anything. He only lived with this roommate out of being lonely after his wife died. ( true, I have been to his house). I'm being told he moved back to his house and his daughter is caring for him. Never got a phone call just a few texts with some words that seem purposely mistaken. This person was transgendered. Right before the hospital they told me that they quit the estrogen and were feeling like a man again. He always told me, I wouldn't have even wanted to have known him as a man he was so horrible. I've hung out with the former roommate and all of his female things are at the house. I was told the daughter shouldn't have to deal with them so they were brought over. He evades all questions I ask. I'm thinking he became a man again and faked his female identities death. This is hard for me because I find myself grieving for somebody who perhaps, I shouldn't be at all. No closure. |

Everyone told me I was incredibly annoying and I talked too much. Last year, I didn t talk as much, but was still social and enjoyed having conversations with people. I was then told that the way I dressed wasn t "right" and that the music I listened to was ridiculous. So this year, I ve stopped talking a lot and now even I realize I m very edgy. I ve lost almost all of my friends, but keep in mind: they were not good friends to me. I m conflicted if this was for the better or not. They really weren t that great or respectful. But still, they were people to hang out with, and who didn t mind talking to me. I have one really good friend (the only person I hang out with) and three or four people who I can consider my friends but am not close with. Truthfully, they re really not my friends (except for the first person). Now, everyone s telling me that I don t talk enough and am difficult to be around. But when I talked, the same people who are telling me this now did not want to hear what I had to say. What am I doing wrong? Why am I not good enough for anyone? Do I even matter? |

Posted: 26 Dec 2016 07:12 AM PST I'm an only child and feel lonely most of the time, I dont have many friends cause I dont trust people that much cause there have been so many fake people in my life that I became distant and more picky and suspicious of people. I wish I had siblings especially a twin another version of me who fully understands me and is there to support me always physically and emotionally. Sure there can be fights between twins/siblings but who doesnt fight right? A fight between friends can end the friendship and even make them enemies but fight between siblings can never end in enemies it will always be all right after that cause blood is thicker than water. No love is stronger than that of family's right? How I wish I had a twin. Does anyone else wish they had a twin? Or if you are a twin tell me is your life so wonderful cause you are never lonely and have someone who fully understands you and is always there for you. |

Here's a little bit of backstory, we are basically like brothers. However when I take a picture with him and stuff and post it anywhere, he'd get mad or tell me not to do it immediately (even though he is honestly way better looking than me and gets s lot of girls effortlessly). After I got drunk he basically tried to get every secret out of me he can, and in front of other people I know too like family. Him and I both find a girl attractive and I only talked to her a little bit. He sent her and another girl I liked a video of me saying "she's cute, she has a big butt," without my permission and tons of other embarrassing stuff. I don't even want to be with this girl like that, I just wanted to be her friend and I think that ruined it. I really trusted him to get permission from me before sending stuff (ESPECIALLY OF THAT LEVEL). He didn't even try to help me throughout my phase and my other friend helped me, and he also told my brother who I repeatedly told him not to because I really am a nice guy(I try at least) and now he'll look at me different forever because I'm not the type for this to happen to. 😔 Maybe I'm making a big deal, but idk anymore because people take advantage of me so much I can't even tell |

He was the first guy I met when I moved to a new state and I approached him but told him it was just friendship which he accepted. He got in a car accident and flipped his truck and totaled it and I'm worried now because instead of healing he's still been working (he's a landscaper) and yesterday he nearly collapsed in someone's backyard, trying to work so he can pay his bills and get a new work truck. I wouldn't be paying for this though because he gave me money a few months ago to invest on top of my money, and the stock I bought has paid off over the months, and nearly tripled the original amount he gave me. I want to get him a new truck and give him a check for the rest of his money but I wonder if it'll be considered 'psycho' to do it. None of my money is going into this, just his, and because of how depressed he's becoming I wanted to do something to make him smile. Is it too much? |

| Posted: 26 Dec 2016 01:35 AM PST I have a gal friend with a "sweet, innocent, little girl" mask. I initiated something "heroic" in a sense for us to do for our group of friends. It involved confronting a friend of ours, and we did. I don't really mind not being given credit for my act because I didn't do it for show. It's just that knowing this friend of mine, I always knew she had various motives for most of her deeds that would boost her ego, but no one noticed except for myself. Sometimes I've had just about enough of her exhibitionist game. Thereafter, a couple of friends of ours would go on to say how this was what she wanted or this was all her idea to do this good thing while I was more of a chill nonchalant person. I'm just confounded as to why just because I'm less concerned with what people think of me, I'm immediately labeled as indifferent and her as kind, when I was genuinely doing an act of kindness in the first place. How do you deal when people misunderstand your true intentions and somebody who is stereotyped as certain way is acknowledged? Just a note that none of these happened in a rude or unfriendly way. |

I'm not cocky, not stuck up whatsoever, I don't judge people, nice, very chill, I'd do anything to help anyone, and honestly I know I have a good heart. Making friends was never a problem, however, when I left the room people would always find something negative to say about me. I always defend my friends when they're not around but they never do the same for me. Since coming to college I've made more enemies than friends. Literally, I can sit in a room and say nothing & have my headphones in and people in the room would hate me :/ I know I'm an "adult" now and having friends is not a big deal to me. But it sucks when I'm out with another friend and everyone is so friendly to them but treat me like I'm crap. So what's the deal? What could I possibly be doing wrong? |

Christmas day they had some type of the game between the Seattle's and Steelers. in a joking way I said haha the games not on. No I don't feel I was wrong because I am the one who's always smiling laughing and always doing, saying kind things, being gentle to make others smile to other people. So with all that being said they should have realized who it was coming from and knew that it was coming from a innocent loving place. However this is not what happened they decide to get offended and got upset with what I said. And then proceeded to scorn me as if I was some type of mean and evil person trying to be rude and nasty to them. Now like I said I am always the one who nice loving sweet and gentle however they have rumors out about me they have said things about me behind my back that I've never really said anything about and I don't scorn them at all. So my question is where do they get off trying to scorn me about something that was innocent when they have done things that can send some people into depression.
