Question: Did he really mean to propose? Posted: 27 Dec 2016 09:33 AM PST My boyfriend gave me an engagement ring and only said it was a very special ring. We had already talked about getting married, but I still wanted him to ask the typical question, why not make it romantic? I feel bad that he only confirmed it was an engagement ring after I asked him. Do you think maybe he's not sure about being with me? UPDATE: It wasn't me he brought up marriage when we started talking about it. I do want to get married, but I never mentioned it until he started talking about it and I said I would be happy with the idea. CORRECTION: I wasn't me who brought up marriage, he started talking about it first. I do want to get married, but I never mentioned it until he started talking about it and I said I would be happy with the idea. |
Question: I just got engaged, now what? (2 part question)? Posted: 27 Dec 2016 07:02 AM PST I am newly engaged (less than 72 hours)!! I have been reading on various blogs, websites, etc. the list of things you should start doing after being engaged. But I am still lost, at this point my fiancé and I are planning on funding this all on our own so making a budget will definitely depend on where we decide to get married. We are planning a longer engagement to give us time to come up with what we will need financially (probably Oct 2018) so is it foolish of me to think of the budget as second compared to venue? My mother was less than thrilled when I told her the news and I am sure she will be very much opposed to helping financially, is there anything I can do to help lessen the tension between my mother and I on this matter? All advice and opinions are appreciated, this process is a bit overwhelming and exciting :) |
