Question: Why do I feel like I'm not taking the fact that I'm getting married tomorrow serious? Posted: 14 Dec 2016 04:21 PM PST For some reason I don't feel a whole lot different right now, like I lack the ability to realize that I'll be getting married tomorrow. Has anyone else felt like this too? And I'd appreciate whatever advice or some kind of word you can give |
Question: What are the best places for a honeymoon in Asia or Europe? Posted: 14 Dec 2016 04:18 PM PST Me and my boyfriend are getting married on December 24th, and after that we want to make our honeymoon and spend New Year in Asia or Europe. But we didn't have chosen the destination yet. |
Question: Wedding venue in Springfield Mo? Posted: 14 Dec 2016 04:05 PM PST Hello, I am.currently looking for a venue to have my wedding on the 13th of May 2017. I ve been searching for months but haven t really found anything in my budget (2500) for all my guests (about 50). I was set on one place however when I got in contact with the man that owned the chapel he was very rude to me and told me that a lot of the information on the website was not true. Does anyone know of any venues or areas that are affordable? I m willing to go out about 35 miles any direction of Springfield since both of our families live in opposite directions thank you! |
Question: My mom would rather me eat fast food then cook a home cooked meal. what gives? Posted: 14 Dec 2016 03:42 PM PST i used to eat fast food all the time when i didn't know how to cook but for the past year and a half i have been cooking all of my meals at home because 1. it saves money and 2.. i like the process of creating things, finding new recipes and using new ingredients is fun to me. I just like to create in general but especially when i'm in the kitchen. I cook a large variety of things but everytime i get in the kitchen to whip something up, my mom has a snarky remark to say, OR she says its unhealthy. I cook different things everyday and it's always an excuse with her about how i should go to subway or burger king instead. my mom thinks going to burger king and popeyes on a rotating basis is healthy, but my home cooked meals are not. I have to cook on the stove, on the skillet or in the pot the majority of times because our oven isnt working at all, and she complains that skillet food is not good for you. She never buys the groceries for the house, she buys a few fruits on like special occassions, I buy the majority of groceries even though i'm working with a small income ( which is why im still at home at 24 years old). working on obtaining a higher paid position but right now i can only afford to live with my parents. I could split the rent with my boyfriend but my parents don't believe in living together before marriage and i'm pretty sure they would never speak to me again if i did that. my dad will eat a few things i cook but for the most part he prefers fast food i wish i had more people to cook for that appreciated my food. my BOYFRIEND loves my cooking but we don't live together so its not like i can cook him dinner all the time which sucks because i totally wouldn't mind cooking breakfast lunch and dinner. i cook for him only like 3-4 days out the week also my mom doesn't know how to cook and she isnt willing to learn. could her hatred towards me cooking have anything to do with a jealousy rage? |
Posted: 14 Dec 2016 09:48 AM PST We are getting married late summer 2017. This is a second marriage for both of us and we are 40 and 47. I am thinking a small ceremony outdoors and a nice sit down dinner with only the closest of family and good friends. About 30 people. My mother in law is insisting that all of the grooms family be there (even though he does not speak to most of them and when they do it is through Facebook!). She is being very rude and has been told numerous times, we do not want a large wedding as it is a second go around for both of us. She now says that I am not excited about getting married or the ring or this and that because I do not want to plan an extravaganza for all of these people. Am I being unreasonable? At 40 I do not see myself in a ball gown with a bridal party and all the pomp and circumstance. What is your opinion on second weddings? Additionally: She is not paying for the wedding in any way shape or form. We are paying 100% ourselves as we fully expected and want to. We have told her many times that we are not interested in a large wedding, that a extravagant party for people we are not close with (family or not) is just ridiculous to us and a waste of time and money. She is not hearing it. I was fine with that, but at the same time, her telling people that I am not excited or happy is what is frustrating. |
Posted: 14 Dec 2016 08:14 AM PST I bought a bridesmaids dress for $180 from Davids Bridal for a wedding suppose to be in March 2017 but the bride has post poned her wedding until December 2018. I am frustrated about this. Is there any place that buys back dresses? Any advice would be helpful! |
