The thing that went wrong tho was the first time i fire tested it with a older bic lighter and the second time i tested it for my friend i used a newer one. That lighter left burn marks "i think" on the diamond. The problem is diamonds can withstand around 1562 F and the lighter burned at 3590 F. How can I fix it? |

I'm a part of a group from Meetup and they sent us a discount code last week that would take off at least $50 from the original price. I tell my friends about the party and discount on groupme - no response. Then one responds and says that her bf might have a party back at a college we just graduated from - that's when the others finally speak up. I asked who's going, she says he might not have it anymore. So then one of my friends say they're interested in the party I mention, and where is it. I posted the location in the group chat, and she liked it but didn't respond. This was on December 24th, and I didn't receive a response after. So today I decided I'm going to secure my ticket along with the discount, just to find out - it expired last night at 12. I tell my friends this, NOW one of them wants to speak and says "can we find another great party?" 1. Why couldn't she just say she didn't want to go? 2. Why is she saying this NOW, when NYE is 4 days away and prices have surged? Anyways, I didn't tell her all of this, I just told her of any other parties that I knew of. She only left a crying emoji. That was at 1pm, no one has responded since. Anyways, I decided to just buy my ticket because I want to go. In December, we got our "OP" (overall position) results determining which of 6 university preferences we'd get into. My small friend group got a range of 1-4, (1 being the highest, 25 being the lowest). However, one friend's results have remained a mystery. She was one to aim high, but honestly it didn't seem possible considering she had a predicted OP of 3-5 and had failed 2/3 of the practice state-wide exams. She needed a 1 to get into medicine. Throughout the whole year, we'd been telling her to get a Facebook since it was really hard to communicate her, and she finally gave in sayin she'd make one after her birthday. Her birthday came, and she pushed it to after graduation. December, and she has still not made a Facebook account. I kept her up to date with group meetups, and she always replied, but was always busy. After the results, she now just sees our messages and doesn't reply. We are really worried, knowing how much she stressed during the whole year (she'd come to school with red eyes after crying), but she had her parents to rely on for support. As selfish as it might seem, I feel like if she's distraught or feeling down because she got a bad result (though I doubt she would've since all of our results were a lot better than we expected), it's bad to just ignore us. My phone is broken so it's hard to communicate with her. What should I do? |

But sense I can't invite them over, they have to first, and they never do. Even when people tell me that we should hang out they never end up texting me. He's the type of dude that is already slurring at 3 beers and starts stumbling around 6. I don't think he's an alcoholic because he doesn't drink when he has work or needs to get up early but every Friday night he gets drunk. Every Friday me and my friends go to this bar. We used to invite jeff but after we started finding out when he'd go home he would start trouble with his parents we'd offer to let him stay at one of our houses but would refuse so we stopped inviting him but he'd still showed up anyway. Last weekend he showed up as usual and the next day his parents called all of us flipping on us calling us scumbags, bad influences, told us to stay away from their son, and threatened to have his uncle come after us next time he hangs with us. What bothers us is it isn't our problem he acts like this. We tried offering to let him stay at our house and even though we stopped inviting him he showed up anyway. How is it our problem that he just shows up and starts buying drinks when we didn't even invite him. Plus this a 23 year old man. Lex I understand where your coming from but that happened last week. (I found out from someone else that she was in the hospital) When she came back I asked her whAt happened and what was wrong but she sort of snapped at me and ignored my question. For some reason I decided she didn't want to be friend or something and i ignored her back. The fact that I didn't check in on her when she was in the hospital didn't come to my mind as a reason for her being mad. Idk why. After two weeks a mutual friend told me the reason and when I got home, I immediately texted her a huge apology text, taking full responsibility for my actions. The only reply I got was: "ok." If you're a teen like me, u know this is text language for: I'm still pissed. She didn't talk to me the next day. It's holiday break now and idk what to do. I didn't move out. I am still living with my parents. I had some old toys and childhood keepsakes that were stored in the basement. One day, I went downstairs to the basement to search for my stuff and found out that all of my toys and things from my childhood are all gone! When I ask my dad about it, He just simply said, 'welll I thought you don't wan't it anymore, so I donated it to the thrift store. He just assume that I didn't want the stuff anymore without even asking me. If he doesn't want my stuff to be in his basement, he could've just tell me about it, I'm more than willing to put my stuff back into my living room. He didn't even bother to ask me about it. I really don't understand why does he do that? I was quite shocked by this because he had never done such a thing like that before. In the past, he rarely even goes through my stuff and throw my things away without asking me. My dad is a short tempered man, I was afraid to ask him for an explanation. Usually we hang out, etc etc. Anyways, I told them about a NYE party, and that a meetup I'm a part of had received a great discount for it that would include open bar and free food. But nobody gave a response afterwards, until the next day when my friend said she's "down" but her boyfriend might have a party at a college we just graduated from. That's when the other two finally responded and said they were down. I'm pretty much done with the college phase, so all what I asked was who's going. Didn't receive a response until the next day when my friend said that she's not even sure if her bf is having the party anymore. Then one friend told me she's interested in the party I mentioned and where is it (this is 5 days after I told them about the discount). I give the location, and I receive NO response. I decided to just buy my own discount, just to realize that not only did ticket prices rise but the discount has expired. I just bought my own ticket, and told them that the discount expired and the same tickets now cost $85. THAT's when friend number 3 finally asked if there were any better parties that we can go to. Why couldn't she mention that days before, that she didn't want to go?? I told her about all of the other parties, but those parties are far from transportation and we would have to deal with cabs. I am an alumni of the college & the weekend was meant to be about us being nostalgic and spending time together. I got very drunk and my BFF had to stay up late and listen to me cry for 2 hours about how I felt bad that I was drunk. The next morning I apologized. She said it was fine and things happen and I would do the same for her. (i took care of her when she was drunk and sick last month, and do many favors for her daily) I have gotten this drunk three times in my life, she was there for them all. I feel terrible that I ruined her weekend. She assures me I didn't,even though taking care of me wasn't fun for her and stressed her out a bit. She acknowledged I must have been stressed when I took care of her when I was drunk and sick and to not feel bad. she still had a great time and enjoyed the nostalgia. Since the visit, she seems a little less friendly, but that could also be due to the stress of finals, as she will be taking them soon. I believe she may be lying to spare my feelings, as she often does. How can i fix this? I would be hurt if she let a night ruin our 5 year friendship but I understand her being annoyed. I am having trouble forgiving myself and unsure of how to make things okay again? |

Friend B however confided in me and told me not to tell Friend A about what she felt for the guy. One day friend A shared to me that he went on a date with the said guy. I did not know whether to inform friend B but thought that it was not my story to tell so I decided to keep quiet. Eventually, friend B knew of the date and told me. | Question: Is it going to be awkward when I come back to work? Posted: 27 Dec 2016 08:03 AM PST I haven't been at work in months. Im 15 and work is only on Saturday's. The last day I was there was nov. 19th, the week after that was break for thanksgiving, then they took a week off so there wasn't any work then either. After that I had a huge performance that I couldn't miss and after that the weather was really bad so I couldn't go again. The next time I'll be at work is Jan. 7th due to New Years and holiday break. It's a small group of kids, theirs only about 6-7 of us that work there and they all see each other almost everyday and sometimes I feel left out and now I know they haven't forgotten about me but I feel like they did and that it'll be back at square 1 with them. They're some of the nicest people though, it just took me a while to get close to them and start talking to them and I guess I'm just scared of nothing |

We used to be best friends Until this happened. Basically everytime we have a little argument, even the SLIGHTEST argument she makes up some lie and snitches to the teacher. (the lie) so now she is getting really clingy and remember everytime something happens that SHE doesn't like she makes. Up a lie or threatens to tell the head teacher . I have no experience whatsoever in relationships, I have never had a girlfriend nor have I ever kissed a girl. I am fairly introverted and quiet but I would not say I am the biggest social outcast. I do have a lot of acquaintances (though few close friends), I have occupied leadership positions in Community Service at my University and most of the girl acquaintances that I know, I actually asked their names. I did take four girls for coffee over the last 12 months. Only one was interested but I politely rejected her as she was too forward (she told me she was in love with me over text after that). Most of the girls that I approached where not of my race. To be honest though, I have never been one who flourished socially. I remember that when I was 16, I never got invited to a sweet 16 party and apart from one cousin, I did not get invited to any 21st get togethers and I just turned 21. The episode was called Oops. Long story short, Maisy Mouse s friend squirrel peed his pants (it was an accident, of course). So, being "inspired by that, I stood in the middle of the room, and I just peed myself there! My mom was pretty upset... (This was when I was young, maybe eight?) 2. This one is more recent. I was walking home from the bus stop with my friend. On the way home, I told him I needed to pee, so he said he d find a tree that would keep myself hidden. So, he found one, and I peed on a tree. I thought he hates me for some reason so i asked one of my other friends (i will call him B) who is also a close friend with "A", if he knows anything about this, besides that i had problems with friend B too, and we argued, and somehow "A" found out that i've been asking questions, and we argued. One day i sent him an apology about another thing, not related to what i said earlier, but he thought it was about that and got angry. He said he had enough of me, that he can't talk to me about casual things because i always bring up things that happened in the past, things that we never really discussed, and i keep bringing them up. And i agreed, this is true and said that it's better if we don't talk for a while, untill i grow up a bit and think about what i've done. Can this be fixed? He really means a lot to me, but it seems like it's not the same for him. We've been through a lot together, he helped me a lot, was there for me when i needed someone. Do peoples emotions and the way they see things change over time? How do i know when the time has come to contact him again? I would really like to fix it somehow, or should i just let time fix it for us? Will he start missing old times? What if he forgets, or doesn't care. Thank you. |

But even now that our friendship is over, I struggle with obsessive thoughts and fears about him that constantly loop in my head, I want him back so bad, but also always feel like he's in danger somehow, feel so lonely, and I compulsively eat, I'm about to be put on medication soon, and I'm just trying to understand, why am I so obsessed with him, and only him, what is the Condition I have? He's not popular at all, and according to his siblings and is overall really unsuccessful with girls. None of my other girl friends think he's attractive, so I think I made a bigger deal out of it than I probably should have because I saw him as being underappreciated. Anyway, his siblings told him I had a crush on him (which isn't exactly true, I only said he was cute. And I promise I haven't perpetuated since I started my relationship three months ago but apparently they just now told him). And I really didn't mind that they told him at first, because I figured he didn't get that from girls a lot and could use the confidence booster. I guess I was overestimating myself, because he didn't appreciate it. According to them, he said, "she has a boyfriend, and I would never date her anyway, she's weird." Now I'm just bothered because I was embarrassed, & I thought the comment was undeserved because not only is he unpopular, but also, we've never spoken that I can remember. Do you think he made the comment because he thinks it's weird I "have a crush on him" but we don't speak, because he finds me unattractive, or because I'm friends with his siblings, or because I have a boyfriend, or what? Also, is there anything I can do at this point to redeem myself? I say that we haven't spoken that I can remember because we've gone to a small school together for six years so I'd be surprised if we haven't.
