So, I've read a story, and I'm not sure if it's true or not, but it's really freaking stupid. It sounds fake but people believe it. Basically, a beautiful and hard-working high school girl had always managed to attract the attention and admiration of her fellow schoolmates, who were from positive and negative backgrounds. A male schoolmate, Boy A, admitted to liking her for a very long time, yet his sentiments were rejected due to his affiliation with gangs and his involvement in criminal activity. Around school, he was known as a violent, hot-headed gangster who people either obey immediately or get brutally beaten and bullied if they don't. Because she was the only one who ever escaped from him, he viewed her rejection as a personal insult and wanted to make her suffer severely for her mistake. Only by chance did he, on that exact day, ran into another notorious gangster, Boy B. Before he even turned seventeen, Boy B had already been sent to the youth prison on multiples charges of assault . Yet, every time he was released, he came back to where he started- gangs. After Boy A discussed his recent rejection and plot for revenge, they both decided to work together with two other boys to kidnap her. God, this sounds like a cheesy teenage high school romance story. It made me cringe so hard. Like seriously? Do you believe this actually happened? It's like, "I like this girl, but she doesn't like me because I'm a gangster. Therefore. I'm gonna kidnap her and make her suffer!" Some people said this was actually a real-life kidnapping and murder of a high school girl, and this was actually why she was kidnapped. If true, this has to be one of the dumbest reasons to ever kill someone- all over a stupid teenage crush. What the heck? Grow up? I hope it's not true. Yeah, but the actual kidnapping WAS REAL. But I'm not sure what the motive was. This could be one of them. This is one of those bad boy likes good girl story basically. Gosh, I want to cringe so badly. Boy A was probably thinking,"I freaking like this girl, but she doesn't like me probably cuz Imma gangsta. Ugly a** b*tch! I'll show ha dumb self how us gangsta be doin things. Im gonna kidnap ha a** and force her to be my and ma homies sex slave!" Gosh, what drugs were these idiots on?! Ugh, it's a cringey teenage novel or fanfiction. How can this possibly happen in real life??!! Bad boy likes good girl, but gets rejected. He kidnaps and kills her. Ugh, so cringey. It's worse than twilight!

When my friend got a girlfriend he wasn't nice to me he told me he didn't want to go to a show with me after I bought the tickets and spent over 100 dollars ... He said I can't stay over anymore too but we're cool now. I told one of our mutual friends who lives in his area and I told her everything and he doesn't know why she deleted him on Facebook and I'm worried she tells him and he hates me for it what shall I do?

One of my best friends hasn't texted me back in about 5 hours now and I am getting worried. Is this a sign he could be mad at something I said? serious answers please. Over 5 hours now actually. we were talking about family issues he had and how they cut him out of his life and he said that I am dead to them and I said well they should be dead to you too given how they never cared about him.

I have known my friend "Jessie" for years now. We're both female. I've always known Jessie to be jealous but I honestly thought it was more due to a delay in maturing. While I am no means perfect or close to it, I feel that this is driving us apart. For e.g., we're both from Canada and it's been my dream forever to attend college in the States (dual citizen). I just graduated (she did too but stayed home) and not once did she ask about my experiences/life in the States the whole 4 yrs of college like I did for her. She would even go far to even attempt to diss my school although it's well known. She confessed that if she applied and somehow got a full ride she wouldn't go b/c of her bf. That made me more confused as to why she's competitive? I mean, you can't have your cake and eat it too. A mutual friend of ours just got married and is expecting a baby. She can't seem to be genuinely happy (saying a fake congrats) for this friend and instead is jealous even though she claims she doesn't want a baby. One other friend got a new car and Jessie is jealous although she's doesn't have a license and can't drive. I can tell she's jealous b/c she'll diss is or try to one up everyone mentioned above in these scenarios. I guess my question is, why are some people always jealous and insecure? I don't have friends and honestly I don't know why. At lunch no one ever lets me sit at their table and I always have to eat lunch with the lunch ladies. So in class today we just pass papers to the person behind us so I just turned my hand behind me waiting for him to take it but he didn't so I looked back and he was busy trying to get something from his bag so I just simply placed it on his desk and turned around about 5 seconds later he's done with his bag and he says "hey gorgeous" I know he's taking to me cuz I'm the only girl there🙄 I pretend not to hear him because he always says annoying crap.. I have this friend, and lately she's been very moody. I could say the simplest thing to her and she would snap at me. It's getting very hard to speak to her because she is very aggressive. My friend gives no other reasons to believe she's depressed. It's not that I've ever been in her shoes but she really has nothing to even be depressed about in the first place. We've been friends for almost ten years. While i do remember having good times partying and chilling with this person, lately, I've seen a depression in his personality. Maybe its me. Maybe I'm the bad guy who's uptight. Or maybe my friend is an a hole after all. heres how it all started today. he calls me up to see if i wanted to chill at a mutual friends house. well this mutual friend is more of an acquaintance to me. These 2 guys are the kind of guys who seem to get girls with no problems and even seem to have big egos. They also love to tease me with the idea that ill meet a girl. I've been alive for 35 years and no damm well that aunt happening lol. So we are eating lunch and my friend begins his drinking. then he begins to ramble on about how i don't ever do anything for my friends and how he always "takes care" of me. We smoke weed a lot but i can get my own and do. I smoke with my buddies too. I also drive. I give my friend rides to work and when he aint at his other job, he car pulling with me. Yet when he goes on his rambles, he states that he can call any of his boys for a ride. Like he doing me a favor. When he was not able to stay at his house, he came to me for help. I let him stay over and that was when it was starting to get cold. I was helping out. Thats what a friend does right? so after a brief argument which his friend, my acquaintance, was seeming enjoying this and laughing even........ i basically said to myself, why do i put myself in these situations? my friend seems to forget all I've done for him. Sorry it wasn't a favor like getting him weed or getting him a girl. Ever since thanks giving even night, I've been in questioning my stance with this person. I was tripping on lad and he was drinking. ;when it came 2:30 am, the bar was closing, i wanted to leave he kept stalling me and saying ill be out in 2 minutes. that was 10 minutes ago. Then i see he talking to a girl. thats cool, but i'm tripping balls and it cold outside and am finished peaking and am able to drive. We gotta go. Then on the way home he was rambling about how he was about to get some puzzy when he is already talking to a girl at his job. He got loud with me and wanted to fight me on the way home. so during the final moments of the needless argument that occurred today, he got right in my face. he shorter than mere so his lips kinda touched my chin which was disturbing. this also happened in his friend's who's my casual aquintance house and was trying to fight me. I have enough respect for other peoples homes so i walked out and decided not to hang with him or the other guy who i don't even like really.

So I am a nice person to the few people I study with in my physio class. I study with them and offer to buy them drinks/food when we study together sometimes. I always offer to do things that aren't really necessary, but since I am a nice person I ask anyways...Today a few of my classmates and I were studying for our lecture exam and I asked a question that was out of topic and they were kind of rude and said we are studying for our exam right now and I said okay never mind. BTW, They always get off topic when we study yet today two of my classmates were rude and I gave them attitude back and they seemed so surprised and were trying to be nice to me after and help me. I said it was fine. Then instead of studying for their midterm, they were talking nonstop about things that weren't related to their lecture exam yet they were rude to me when I asked a question. I feel like I am too nice to people and they don't deserve my kindness. How can I be more of a *****... Should I just make new friends?? I feel people always take advantage of me and they rarely thank me when I help them out which I always do

This is probably a very frequent question, but I really need some help with this. I don't want to breathe anymore or fight anymore or live anymore. I am always lonely, I'm tired of crying or laying in bed at 5pm until 12pm and feeling like I'm going to throw up. I'm just tired of life. I've felt this way since I was 15 (four years ago) but I mean these have been the hardest years of my life. I could complain and complain about how my life sucks but that would just push more people away. No one wants to listen to a girl talk about killing herself or hear the thoughts she has in her head. No one wants to see the words kill your self all over my journal or my school notebooks. They want me to be happy and that's hard. It's hard to fake a smile for everyone. To lie and say everything is okay. It's even harder knowing no one would care if I was gone. I wish I was never born, to be honest with you, and I know I would get called a coward if I did it but it is my only solution. It may be temporary but at least the pain will vanish. Were both 13 and she stayed in another family for a month cause she was really rude to her parents. But at this family, the 2 other girls who were staying with her were drugies. They made her try drugs but she hated it (thank god) But she tried cigarettes and kinda liked it. One of those girls gave her 2 cigarettes and she was smoking it while she was walking to school. Shes extremely embarassed to smell like cigarettes but she doesnt want stop. As her bff since grade 4 I tried to tell her to stop but she said to not worry because she will only smoke it sometimes and no more than 1-2 a week. What bothers me is that is what every smoker told themselves before getting addicted and that 1-2 a week turns into a 1-2 an hour. There's this girl I talk to at the gym almost every time I see her. Yesterday she walked past me to go talk to her friend but she waved at me. Then after she talked to her friend she walked back to talk to me. she was waiting for her other friend so we talk for awhile about how our weekend was and so on. So, my best friend and I are in highschool and he is two years younger than me. A few days ago we went out and ended up having some truly deep conversations for the first time. He was really sad and asked me for a cigarette. Now, I have been smoking regularly for 4 years but he is a non-smoker and I have never seen him smoke before. I didn't even give it a second thought then and just gave him one which he smoked with no problems. But now I thought about it some, I feel bad for giving him the cigarette. What if he starts smoking regularly now? I would definitely feel responsible for it... Does that make me a bad friend?

My roommate was really mad at me because I was wearing his Jordan's without asking him. He told me to take his shoes off and then I did. I was scared he was gonna do something to me because he looked mad. Then I had another pair of shoes in my backpack so I wasn't worried. Then he told me to give him my other backup pairs so I did. What and how should I apologize to him? I wore his shoes because I thought they were nice.

Everytime me and my friend eat out or get food somewhere I'm always the one to pay for everything. I give her signs to let her know if she could help out or offer to pay for it sometimes, but I always end up paying for everything. What can I do? I'm scared to tell her directly.

My best friend has been smoking for about 10 months now, and I do blame myself for introducing him to this because i am a heavy smoker for medical reasons. But recently he has been smoking all day every day and it is turning him into a careless asshole, everyone sees it. He rarely goes to his job, he drives recklessly, hes selfish, and hes failing school. He is extremely defensive when you bring up something even small like when you ask him to slow down a bit because he is speeding on icy roads, with no snow tires and each seat with someone in it. I am sick of him just not caring anymore, I love cannabis but I do not think everyone should smoke it. As well with alcohol.

He has a gf, btw, and I know he's cute but I also value him more as a friend than anything. But we have....a lot in common. It's scary. It's to the point where we share the same favorite bands. What does all this commonality mean? He grew up in a city 200 miles from me, so it can't be similar environments...and he's two years older than me...which I don't know if that matters. and no he's not a stalker so yeah....I just would like some input on the situation.. So long story short in senior year in 2014 I have fallen in love with my best friend Tara,I told her how on june 9th 2014 but she kindly rejected me,saying that however she wants me in her life,and that was basically it. Then college time came but we remained friends,perhaps we became even closer but she didn't change her mind about me though,and I tried to make that happen,god I tried so much but nothing worked. So, my friend has sort of started a relationship with this dude. They haven't officially declared themselves a couple, but she says she likes him and they've been hanging out a bunch lately. Anyways now that they're kind of a thing they hang out a lot and now almost every time we hang out he's there. It's not that I dislike him it's just a little difficult for me to adjust to this change since I'm not used to him being around so frequently. Thus, whenever he's around I'm more quiet than usual and I just feel uncomfortable. As I said, it's not that I don't like him, it's just I'm having trouble adjusting to him and in a way him always being there annoys me. In addition, their relationship is really unexpected and I feel a little ambivalent about it. How can I better adjust to my friend's new boyfriend?

A good friend suffered a miscarriage last February. It was very devastating for her and everyone who cares about her. This happened at 20 weeks, so she did have to deliver the baby. She has since gotten pregnant again and is due at the end of December. She also has a 7 year old. At some point her behavior began to get troublesome. She posts several posts daily about grief and loss, but nothing about her older child. Instead of a Christmas tree, she is doing an angel tree where all the ornaments are letters to her lost child. She has spent hundreds of dollars on grief merchandise, i.e: memorial necklaces, stuffed animals that weigh the same as the little boy she lost. They are not poor, but not well off enough to spend this kind of money. She is now planning a heavenly birthday for the baby, and is sending out a wish list of toys, clothes, etc.... for the lost baby. However, she does not want a baby shower or anything for the new baby that is due any day now. In addition, she expects her friends to all donate to a memorial for the lost baby - I have already done so, but she is cutting off good friends who are not donating. The older child has always been difficult to be around, very spoiled, mean to other kids, rude to adults, temper tantrums, etc. And I fear that this child's problems will spiral out of control as my friends behavior continues in this manner. I want to makes sure that I am not dismissing warning signs of a greater problem that may need professional help.

And why?

It's so lame... I'm in class (journalism) and as soon as one person's friend leaves, their friend leaves with them like a dog and then soon, there's only me and two other kids left in class. Same with going to the bathroom. Like why do girls have to travel in gangs? Just go to the bathroom! Just go do your work! No, you can do it! I don't have to come with you! So lame...

I have to get some opinions on an issue I'm facing, because in the past I've ruined many friendships by reacting impulsively, and quite frankly, childish. Here's what happened: I have two gay friends who are in a relationship. Whenever I wanted to hang out with them I would just let them know, and they'd pick me up. Two weekend ago however, I told them I wanted to chill, and they said they would pick me up after dropping some things off at a friend's place. They never pitched, and didn't bother to let me know they wouldn't. To make sure I would see them the next weekend I contacted them on Monday, and we arranged to hang out on Friday. On Friday I gave them a call and asked if our plans are still on. They said yes, and that they would pick me up within an hour. I waited two hours before calling again, and they said they're on their way. Another hour later I received a message saying that they're exhausted after work, but we should definitely chill on Saturday. They even told me to pack an overnight bag, and used phrases like "definitely friend, promise we'll get together tomorrow". I packed my bag and waited the entire day, before realizing it's not happening. Not once did they bother to tell me they're not coming. Finally, on Monday night I receive a message saying they're going through a rough patch. They're constantly fighting, but they will be back to normal in January. What would you do? I want to tell them to get lost, but am I being unreasonable? I understand that they have problems right now, but why promise me that we'll be getting together on Saturday, and make me wait for nothing the entire day without notifying me that they're not coming?

I am in grade 11 i don't want any counselling i laugh ot off i mean why isn't god doing anything he just sits there i have taken the initiative to solve this problem by myself

I was watching TV and the subject came up about how one friend "never pays". But if they were invited, why should they pay? Before you all jump on me, I'd feel the same way if I invited friends to lunch or dinner. In my opinion, paying would be on ME. I wouldn't get upset that the person that I invited didn't insist on paying. Seriously, it wouldn't even cross my mind.

So my best friend and I have been drifting farther and farther apart. I've tried to prevent this from happening but my friend doesn't seem to care. He treats me like crap and ignores me now. Every time we try to hang out he blows me off and hangs out with his girlfriend. It's making me feel depressed and I know this friendship should end. I still love the guy like he's my brother but this isn't working out. How do I end this friendship as quickly and painless as possible?

My friend, I told her I loved her more than a friend. She told me that she's not ready to be in a relationship right now. Which I understand, but she's keeping at arms length and she keeps canceling plans. I gave her a letter, telling her this and that she's gonna lose me if she keeps doing this, and you can tell she was fighting back tears. Ask her if she was mad at me and she said no and that she understands why I feel that way, and that she write me back. I feel so bad about making her cry, I couldn't be quite anymore. Do you think she really will reply back? How long should I wait for a reply back? Is there a way that we can save our friendship? And how do I stop feeling this way?

I have been friends with this girl who I m going to call Milly for 8 years now. We are best friends and never apart. The thing is though, she acts like I should be greatful for her friendship as I m such a looser. Look, I m a nice person ( literally my nickname is mary poppins! ) and I have loads of friends but she doesn t think so. She hits me a lot too. Not playful hits, like full on slaps on the head and kicks. She said I m an embarrassment and I should change. She always calls me fat ( I m average, so is she) and she said my face was ugly. I can t talk to her without her screaming at me. If I break off the friendship though, she ll blame me and everyone will believe her, as her mom is a teacher in my high school. Then I ll be blamed. Please help, I m normally such a happy person and she makes me cry so much...

Like I said, I have to talk to her and work with her a lot of time. As far as I'm concerned,avoiding is never gonna be the answer. I'd love to know how to stay with her comfortably! Please help me.

My friend is sending me a gift and he won t tell me what it is, and I won t be in town when it arrives. How can I know what the gift is ?

Hey! I just started this new highschool, and I have no friends. Before I had loads of them and I want pretty popular but then I moved. Now I m not a "nerd" not am I shy. I m actually a basic ***** all Instagram type of girl. A lot of people in my new school often compliment my looks but nothing more than that... I actually did talk to one girl from my math class and she sad that people in school and this town in general think that I m full of myself and that I m really popular and have loads of friends already. Plus some girls told her that they would get really nervous if I approached them JUST BECAUSE OF MY LOOKS. I don t really get it. My parents won t let me change schools and I m starting to feel depressed because of my lack of friends. Do you have any advice? Should i make internet friends? If so how? Thanks! Recently, ive a problem with my cousins... we were quite close... then something happened, which is out of my control. I never ask that to happened. Anyway both of them hate me now. I just keep my mouth shut as I dont want to make situation become more worse. I bet they wont listen if I try to explain. And then they put some 'confession' that quite hurts me. So my question is.... what can I do to forget this matter for awhile? I dont really care about to our broken bond. it means I dont think I ever care or want to beg and apologize...

What do i do? I dropped my friends phone.. (worth 150$) and its screen wasnt working at all but everything else is fine.. our teacher said we had to split the cost for the repair. And if my dad knew about this he would embarass/scold me in front of my classmates but my mom is fine, im planning on asking her but im really scared if she is gonna tell to dad.. HELP ME ASAP PLEASE! And his dad is wanting to meet me but im really scared. HELP PLEASE!

I really don't know what to do. I don't want to lose my friends just because I'm different. I don't know how are they going to react but I'm sick and tired of pretending to be something I'm not.

My sister has always said mean things to me. Im quite a sensitive person so the comments she makes to me really make me sad. But recently I've been feeling depressed and anxious. I've also had no self-confidence and low self esteem. Today she kept saying horrible things to me making me feel bad about myself. But the worse thing she said to me today was "no one is ever going to like you and put up with your behaviour". That really hurt me because I have no friends and that made me think that my friends didn't want to be friends with me anymore because of that. I think I might be overreacting but the things she says to me they make me feel worthless.
