Question: Can someone stop being abusive? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 09:32 PM PST My friend s husband is emotionally abusive. I have been married and divorced to a man who was abusive in every way, so my opinions are a little biased. My friend s husband is the bread winner. She doesn t work at the moment, although she did when the were first dating and for a while into their marriage. Slowly he s been acting more and more disrespectful. Calling her lazy, and other mean names. He is a little controlling when it comes to what money is spent on. One thing she complains about most is that he s unappreciative of what she does do even though they ve talked about it on multiple occasions. She keeps the house clean, irons his shirts, packs his lunches, cooks dinner etc. She never wanted to be a house wife, but it is what it is. He buys her whatever she needs, but she has to ask him for money every time she needs something, and he holds it over her head. In my opinion this is emotional abuse. My question is weather or not this community thinks these behaviours could ever change, or if they will get worse. He is almost 50, and they ve only been married for about 2 years. |
Question: Why do us guys bother getting married? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 09:27 PM PST When all wives do is chase us husbands around with a rolling pin, while dressed in curlers? Eeech. Not the woman I married.. |
Question: Can me and my coach be friends? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 09:25 PM PST I'm shy and usually keep to myself. I've never really let people in even my family. But when I'm with my coach I just feel like I can be myself. I think of him as the father that I never had because my parents are divorced and my dad has no interest in me and was never there for me. Also, my coach has a wife and children and is loving and kind. But the real question is, can I, a girl, be friends with my coach? |
Posted: 08 Dec 2016 08:47 PM PST My husband went on a hunting trip with friends and left his wedding ring. At first I thought he just forgot it until I realized he took his $2,000 watch I just bought him 2 days ago which he puts with his ring when he showers. There's no way he didn't see the ring if he put the watch on. We have been together since high school and one of the guys he took along I really don't like due to the fact that about 2 years ago before my husband and I were married but dating his friend encouraged him to cheat on me and my husband did for about a month without me knowing because the guy covered for him. I expressed my feelings about this particular friend going along and he called me controlling so I let it go but now seeing the ring here is really bothering me. I am 6 months pregnant and trying to keep my cool about it but am I wrong to feel uneasy? |
Question: Facebook messenger secret conversation? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 08:40 PM PST My husband is having an affair. I found out 3 days ago after checking his fb messages because he was acting weird. He hasn't changed his Facebook password so I'm still logged into both of ours. My phone beeped for a message on his phone, and when I look on his messenger app there's none there. Is it a secret conversation? Thanks a lot! Was on fence of divorce and if he's still talking to her it's definitely a divorce! |
Posted: 08 Dec 2016 07:57 PM PST So is it right, for my wife's family to force me to leave there house and leave my wife there just because I don't have money to help them out? I understand if I have money to help I would, but I don't. We had $3 after paying rent. And buying my wife clothes because they were whining about it. Also to, they said I wasn't helping them out far as work goes, but they never asked me. It was my second time there and they never explained to me what they expected of me. They just assumed I would know. But in my family at least if you visit a family member your to relax. I'm like that in my home even if your a guest sit down and relax me and my wife will take care of you. Now I'm not saying it's wrong for them to ask me to do chores and help them but they could of talked to me. So now, they want me to come back so I can get my wife after they said they will bring her back home. But they keep "claiming" things pop up like work or she's sick or "tired" I drive a gas guzzler and I can't afford to keep playing games. I'm just wanting appions. |

Question: Aren't all fathers just "motherfuckers", in general? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 07:20 PM PST Whenever a person gets this insult...(or I do), I laugh in my head, because you're basically calling me a family man or a husband, at least. Just a food for thought. |
Question: What would you do in this situation? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 07:18 PM PST Me an my husband have been together since 2011 an married since June. We have a son together an I'm 5 weeks away from having our daughter. He also has two daughters with a ex. He gets his daughters every other weekend this upcoming weekend (dec9th) is not his weekend. But the nxt one is. It's looking like I'm going to POSSIBLY have our daughter this Tuesday December 14th due to low fluid. An I personally do not want his other daughters to come over on their upcoming weekend if I do have her that week. Why? Cause having a child is a tiring thing an any woman that's done it knows exactly how I feel or at least I would assume they would. Well my husband is completely defense about that an refuses to not get them on his weekend. So what should I do?! Give in an have 3 kids running my house with a newborn or stand my ground? Btw I live in a tiny duplex you can see more or less everything from 1 room. And if I don't agree they can come I have been threatened with divorce which I think is complete BULLSHIT. Advice please I'm very upset. |
Question: Would you be mat at wife? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 06:58 PM PST We both have been working hard and for the last month she has been working a lot of OT. I have been taking care of kids and house work. Found out today she went to Haooy Hour and didn't tell me. I don't think she was cheating, but I was disappointed that she wasn't going to tell me. We argued and now we are not talking. She thinks I'm accusing her of cheating when I'm not. Wanted to get opinion |
Question: Will my dad pay for my driver's license when my parents get divorce? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 06:32 PM PST my parents are in the mirage of divorce but my dad said he won't pay for child support but he will pay everything related to me does that include the insurance to my driver's license? |
Question: If you live next door to your inlaws, what is it like? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 06:23 PM PST Is it a strain on your marriage in any way, do your spouse and inlaws maintain healthy boundaries? And not invade space/marital privacy etc. I'm not in this situation but I've always wondered about it. |

Question: Curious about the details of collaring someone in BDSM? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 02:45 PM PST I've done enough research to understand that it's a serious commitment but the line of just how serious is still hazy to me. Is collaring a BDSM marriage? Does it bind you (the Dom & the sub) for life (not necessarily legally but just as a show of faith like an engagement ring) or does it just show that you're in a deeply committed relationship with one another (more like a promise ring than an engagement ring)? I'm just curious because I don't know how fast is too fast for collaring. Do people get collared after just six months or does it take five years for someone to get collared? I recognize that everyone is different and goes at their own pace but I'm curious about the generalized idea of it. Because I feel like the promise of marriage or engagement comes after years. But a promise ring could come after a while and still hold a deep meaning as well, just not quite the level of marriage. Like does collaring someone bind you to them forever & parting ways would almost be like a divorce or would parting ways with someone you're collared to be more like a breakup? A lot of questions, not all need answered if you can just cover the general idea of how serious it is and if it's life binding or just a promise. Let me know! Thanks! |

Question: Why is it that ex-wives are so malicious? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 12:41 PM PST My girlfriend kicked me out because I messed up and was unfaithful, and I am off work at the moment because I caught hepatitis and can't do tattoos while I'm sick, so my ex-wife is letting me sleep on her couch. But she is doing everything she can just to be mean to me and I think it's rotten of her when I'm sick and down. She won't turn the heat up even though I'm shivering, and she's always hot because she has gotten real heavy. She is being petty--she won't refer to me to others by my name, she calls me "Jerk" instead of Jack; I heard her on the phone, probably talking to her mother(who hates my guts) and she was saying "Jerk is lying around in his boxers complaining about it being cold." I even asked her to bring me the x-box and she just said "I'm not married to you anymore and I'm not waiting on you hand and foot." Really?! Asking for the x-box is waiting on me hand and foot???? She knows I'm a vegetarian but she won't buy any of the food I'll eat and says that I can eat what food she has or starve. I have already lost four pounds since I've been here. She has NO respect for me at all. I was hoping if she saw others see how she'sbeing unreasonable she'll be nicer. Thanks, all. wow, thanks for all the sympathy! I'm not trolling and I am not a bum. I am off work because I contracted hepatitis and you can't work, especially not as a tattoo artist, until the county clears you to go back. My girlfriend says she won't ever speak to me again and my ex calls me Jerk. Not nice but I end up being a loser and asѕhole?! |

In this scenario, can the wife tell husband to pursue another job opportunity that provides higher income that will benefit the family? |

Question: Was I wrong to push my husband about work? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 09:22 AM PST My husband has been laid off for months and he only has a few months of unemployment left. He let 2 months go by without asking his boss for work. He has called him twice in the following month and was told he'd have something soon (again). I asked him about it and when he'd call again, to be the squeaky wheel so to speak and he got angry with me saying he'd do it another time but wouldn't specify when. The thing is, being laid off is common in this job but not for months on end. If he has no more unemployment left at one of the times when he's laid off again into the new year he may be faced with having run out of unemployment. So now I'm being a little more aggressive with reminding him to call his boss. He got upset with me and then I was upset back saying he doesn't see how serious it is. (I work btw but wouldn't be able to cover our bills alone). He just blew up and left to go to his parent's with a bag of things. Was I wrong to get on him again? When I was laid off I called every single week, even when they said they'd call me. I was brought back even when it was still slow, and also was the only one brought back. I also worry because he's been lucky that he's always had someone in his family help him. He's never lived on his own until me. |

Question: Should my boyfriend offer to pay for this trip? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 08:30 AM PST My boyfriend invited me to his cousins wedding which is out of state. My boyfriend has a 5 year old daughter who will be going also and so will my boyfriends parents and his siblings. It will require me to take over a week off work and pay for flight and my share of hotel and the whole time him and his family will be busy with family and wedding activities. He also wants to visit old friends from college while he is there. The last time I went on a trip with my boyfriend and his daughter I ended up exhausts most of the time and we had no times to ourselves to do anything even though his parents came along to babysit his daughter threw tantrums and the trip was about her and what she wanted to do. I've already paid for one vacation and also paid my boyfriends way too since money was tight, he said he'd pay me back and never did. Should I go on this trip for his cousins wedding if he is not offering to pay? |
Question: Just need a straight up answer please? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 06:57 AM PST My wife hasn't slept at night do to our daughter not feeling well and because of that our other daughter stays up. So my wife finally gotten to fall asleep after trying many times, she fell asleep and then our daughter woke up my wife saying I have to pee. My wife side "that's it, I don't wanna, no more" Now she didn't say her full sentence she stop herself in her tracks. Now to me it sounded like if she wanna to say I don't want anymore kids, that's it BUT she stop herself. What do you think? Does it sound like she wants more kids? |
Question: Are there any other married women who have experienced this? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 05:54 AM PST For as long as I can remember, my husband has gone down on me so regularly that I think about it between the days when he does. He's always been so enthusiastic about doing it, and is always thinking up different positions to do that. I orgasm so intensely that I've had to cover with a pillow so I don't wake the kids. But it's been almost three weeks, and he hasn't even tried. I guess I've come to expect it, but I really look forward to it. It makes me feel so sexy because he is so sexy. I tried talking to my sisters, but both of their husbands don't ever do that, they told me to stop complaining. I just want to know what other women have done if this happens. |
Question: How long will my husband deny his emotional affair? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 03:24 AM PST We've been married 7 years and have 3 kids. Several months ago (when I was pregnant with our third baby) I started suspecting my husband of cheating. He denied the texts (I saw a few with my own eyes). I got all the info from the phone company and found they talked/texted daily. He denied it, said they ate just friends and that she's married and he's friends with both her and her husband. He changed his email, phone password, account password, etc. He also bought me a gold necklace and I found the receipt, paid with credit card, and another receipt for another necklace purchased minutes later with cash. He denies that too. He swears its nothing is going on but I don't believe him. He says I'm crazy and making things up. It may not be physical but im convinced hes emotionally attached. Hes so distant with me. Will he ever confess? I've heard some people don't even realize they are having an emotional affair, is that true? How do I make him see it? |

Question: My husband had been caught chatting with girls online before we were married.? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 01:11 AM PST I told him never again... Some years later...He ended up getting caught, not chatting but exploring live porn feeds or something...whatever their called. Today, I just found a list of user names for "scope" aka Periscope and he says "but it s not chatting, I m in "couch mode"". I guess he was trying to tell me, it s still okay, it s not chatting and he doesn t have a user name or anything to engage in a conversation (I don t believe him at all & frankly, I m at a point where I dont think I care). I feel broken, I don t know if I should get out of this marriage for mostly this reason. We have two very young children. I m lost and I dont know what to do. Please help. I also am still grieving the loss of one of my parents. |
Question: Why does my husband keep trying to talk me into getting a sleeve tattoo? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 12:59 AM PST My husband has mentioned it a few times now, that Id look "hot" with a full arm sleeve tattoo. No offense to anyone who has one, I just think it cheapens a woman's beautiful natural skin. Why does he keep trying to talk me into getting one?? |
Question: Why did he laughed at me during sex? Posted: 08 Dec 2016 12:48 AM PST My husband and I were having what I thought to be good sex. So I'm feeling good and enjoying it and next thing I know he looks down at me and starts laughing. He wouldn't tell me why he laughed and now I feel so stupid and ugly it's humiliating. Has anybody else gone through this? Why did he laugh? |
Question: Husband wants to leave me to move closer to his kids? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 11:13 PM PST My husband and I have been married for 2 1/2 years now and we are already headed for divorce. We used to live in CA, but moved to another state a year ago. We moved here to have a better life financially, to have more children, etc. My husband has 2 children that live in CA, and I have 1 son that's with us full-time and doesn't see his real father. a year and a half ago, we had decided that we could no longer afford to live in CA, and we couldn't have more children or do anything else like own a home out there either. So, we made the choice to me. My husband knew what the consequences of leaving his kids might be, but he reassured them that he would still be in their lives all the time. They are in year-round school, so they come to see us every 3 months, and then we also fly out there to see them in between those visits. My husband has a weekly Skype visit with them and they send things back and forth, etc. So, they are in contact very frequently. Well, I started noticing that my husband was being very mean to me after every Skype visit with his kids. He finally told me that he wants us to move back to CA to be with his kids. But we can't afford the move, can't afford to live out there, and can't afford to buy a home or have more children. That's why we moved to begin with. He tells me that I'm being selfish and that he's expected to help take care of my son, but I'm not doing anything for his kids. Which isn't the truth, but that's how he feels. He tells me he will NEVER and does not love my son. He says that nothing will ever make him love my son. My son is 9 and really needs his stepfather in his life, especially since his real dad is out of the picture entirely. But my husband expects me to go live in poverty to be near his kids! Even though he tells me HE doesn't love my child? Why would I do that? The other issue is that there are alot of problems with being nearer to my husband's son. His daughter is wonderful and she and I are very close. She's 7 and is so sweet. We get along great. But my stepson is 11 and has a ton of issues that need to be dealt with before I'd go back to having him in our house 50/50 custody again. I don't want to seem like I don't love my stepson, because I do. Very much. But I also have to protect my son too, and I can't do that very easily when my stepson is in the house. I'll explain. Like I said, my stepson is 11, but going on 5 most of the time. He is VERY emotionally behind, yet he is intelectually advanced. He's very smart, but has no idea how to function in life at all. He still wets the bed every night, and also soils himself somewhat frequently. By soilling himself I mean that he will hold his poop for awhile until he has to go really bad, and then a little comes out. And then he will stay in those underwear and not wipe himself. So, he always smells like poop, literally. One night, he had soiled himself a bit, and put his hand down the back of his underwear, and smelled his hand. When he discovered that he had pooped himself a bit, he wiped the poop on my son's room carpet!!! All the kids were sleeping in that room, and the carpet and walls were wiped with poop! I was so angry I couldn't even deal with it. I told my husband to deal with it since it's his kid. I knew if I dealt with his son I would say something I didn't mean, so I restrained myself. It's very difficult to deal with a child that does this and having to wash his sheets and covers everyday, and everything else. But that's not the worst of it. I could handle all these things easily because I would help him to have better hygiene and we would work on him stopping the bedwetting. His mother thinks that's normal at his age. The bigger issue here is that his son is downright mean. He has kicked me in the stomach when I was pregnant (it ended up being ectopic and I miscarried) because he told me that I didn't deserv"B" word, and tells me he will do anything he can to split his father and I up. He wants his parents back together, even though his mother is remarried and has another baby! This child is out of control and hurts everyone around him. He goes up to my husband and slaps him in the face for no reason and tells him he hates him. And then he will do the same to me!!! I won't put up with that, nor should I have to. My stepson recently puched my son in the eye and gave him a black eye, and ended up biting him as well. CPS was called on us one time because about 2 years ago, my son was bitten so badly by my stepson, that it was a huge welt on hi upper shoulder/back area. Well, my son's teacher saw it my son told her it was a bite. My son went to the nurse, and the nurse called CPS. So, CPS shows up at my house wanting to know if we abuse our kids, all because my stepson bit my son so bad!! And then in the weeks to follow, he also bit a kid at school too! I want to |
Question: My wife wants to move to Minnesota and I don't, need advice.? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 11:10 PM PST My wife and I have been married for 12 yrs and have lived in Colorado since before we met each other. When we first got married we discussed moving to MN and agreed at some time that would happen. Looking back this was my first mistake. Had I been less concrete in agreeing to her then, maybe we wouldn't be where we are now. I feel like we've made no progress as adults and now it seems like it all stems from the fact she's been waiting to move. If I bring up things like starting a retirement fund she balks, and I never understood why. We currently rent and our lease is about to expire soon. Considering the housing market and the credits available for first time home buyers I decided to do some research and see if we could buy a home. It appears that we can. When I sat down with my wife and gave her all of the information and asked what she thought she balked. What I mean is she gave me no answer and had no opinion. I decided to press the issue and she finally said it "I have to hope that someday we're going to move back to Minnesota and buying a house here means we won't." I understand early in our marriage this is something we had talked about, but things happened that kept us from moving many years ago and now I feel like this is home. I also feel like she's harbored this dream for so long that she hasn't tried to accept where we live as home. Moreover having been back several times over the years I don't like MN. I feel like if I move there I'll just be passing time until I die. We have a 10 yr old son which makes the situation much more complicated. I also want him to experience all the great things that Colorado has to offer. He just started snowboarding and mountain biking the last couple of years. As he gets older there will only be more things for him to experience right out his front door. I hate money to be a factor but it is. We both have really good paying jobs, and it's highly unlikely that either of us will make what we're making now in MN. Financially I don't see how we could move if we both wanted to. At 38 yrs old I'm not really looking to live hand to mouth. I guess the bottom line is if I move for her I'll be miserable, and if she stays she'll be miserable. I'm afraid we're at an impasse and would really love not to get divorced. But I think it may be the only answer if we can't find a common ground. Maybe I'm just being selfish, but we only have one life to live and I don't want to spend it wishing I could do the things I love. I'm sure she doesn't want to regret not spending more time with her family. If there's a solution I can't find it. Thanks in advance........................D I |
Question: Why does my husband constantly threat to divorce me? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 11:02 AM PST Every week - two weeks my husband when arguing threatens to divorce me. We have the same arguments about the same things over and over and over again. First the arguments are over very small things and there are no huge problems in our relationship i.e. infidelity. Second during the arguments my husband calls me all kinds of vile names. I normally respond to him with 'fine what are you waiting for?' but he never actually does anything about it. I don't think this is a stable relationship though, if this is threatened at every argument. What can I do to stop him saying this? I've talked to him already once he's calmed down and he says he doesn't mean it, but then says it again at next argument. I refuse to change just because he threatens divorce. He sometimes says 'if you don't do this or that then that's it'. I don't respond to this as it seems like blackmail. Do you think he is genuinely unhappy. Do normal couples behave this way? I know my parents didn't. |
Question: Why does my husband threaten to break things when he's mad? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 11:01 AM PST Why does my husband take my cell phone and threaten to smash it, take my car keys and tell me I'm not going anywhere until I basically agree to do what he says, and punch and kick our walls and doors until there are holes just so he can get his point across? How should I act when he does that? He said it's sad that I freak out when he threatens to break my cell phone, etc., but it's not just that...we can't afford to keep buying new phones because he wants to break mine because he's mad at me. |
Question: Why would wife continue to bring up my past? Posted: 07 Dec 2016 09:05 AM PST and I am not talking last year, or 5 or 10... but circa 1986! We have been married15 years and dated 7 b4 that. She knows most everything about me in our samll town, who I was with and hates them all. We recently had a huge fight, told her I was tired of her doing this, bringing up either mistakes I made while we dated (one) or girls I dated she calls "hore/skanks). Told her if it bothered her that much she should have said no, 15 years ago. I have done nothing but work my *** off for not only my family, but we had her nephews live with us for 7 years (95-2002) we took care of as well as her grandparents,(1999-2003/05) Told her if she wanted to bring up the past, bring up how I worked 3 jobs to support all of us. She said she was sorry but just does not like them. I Think she does it to make me feel quilty as I have always been the forgiving one and compassionate one in the relationship, get it from my mom. Well the other night after a great family day, she does it again: My 13 yr old son likes to pick on his 11 yr old sister, and I had to pick on my son for this as I did our older nephew that used to pick on my him. I call my son metro-man as in the metrosexual men who like to look good. He has those qualities, besides many other great ones. He would just laugh all day and try to get me back and my daughter wold jump in to protect me. well saturday night as we were ripping on each other, my wife decided to chime in with this: Wife, : "Don't let him fool you son, when he was 18 and went out with the "skank hore girlfriend of his, he used to go shopping all the time" Me: - "WTF is that?" Wife- what? why r u protecting her? I haven't talked to this girl in a decade or more and this is a half dozen times she brought her up since she started a job at the construction office. The ex was a little loose, i found out but I don't understand why she constantly brings her up and reminds me of what she was like? she later apologized that night and asked me again why I get pissed off, and I told her the only reason I can think of my wife constantly bringing this girl up is to justify something she has done or is doing at work, she tells me I am over thinking things and she just hates all my old girlfriends.... ok then why constantly bring them up? |
