Question: Wedding guest list help? Posted: 06 Jun 2020 03:58 PM PDT My fiancé and I are starting to plan our wedding. The grooms family is just his moms side as his dad is not in the picture at all. My (the brides) parents are divorced and involved. My side of the family is my moms, then my dads and his husbands. This is where my dilemma comes in. My dads husband has several nieces and nephews as well as 3 siblings and their mom. I only ever see my dads husbands family a few times a year at Christmas thanksgiving Easter and occasionally a summer bbq. One of his nieces Carly got married and gave us an invite to the wedding which I wasn't expecting but was a nice gesture seeing as I only see her a few times a year and we're not that close. Then I got an invite to the bridal shower and bachelorette party. I went to the bridal shower as I figured she has no friends and doesn't want to be embarrassed with no people around her age their. I turned down the bachelorette party as I felt we're not close enough for that and don't hang out outside of family events. Should I invite her and her husband to the wedding? If I do I feel compelled to invite everyone which would be 14 people which is a lot with my moms side and grooms side and our friends. If i just invite Carly and her husband the rest of the family will be upset. If I don't invite Carly she'll be upset I didn't return the wedding invite favor and invite her. What would you do?
Question: Should we postpone October wedding due to Covid-19? Posted: 06 Jun 2020 09:36 AM PDT We're due to get married at the end of October. Obviously we don't know what the situation will be by then, we just know we don't want a wedding that involves social distancing or restricted numbers. I'm just looking for opinions should we postpone? I'm just worried we'll postpone and then everything will actually be ok in October. The next available date our venue can offer is December 2021 I should just point out this is an Irish wedding & they're saying larger wedding can go ahead from the end of July however it will be restricted numbers and social distancing will need to be in place although I don't know how long that will go on for
Question: Whats a silver wedding? Posted: 06 Jun 2020 03:44 AM PDT Hi,I'm at my aunt's silver wedding tomorrow with my parents and I want to know how it works - how long it takes and so on. Like a real wedding, or is it faster? And unfortunately I have to wear a tie when can I take it off?
