Question: Have you ever felt emotional insecure in your relationship and didn’t know why? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:22 PM PDT Today I expressed to my boyfriend of 4 and 1/2 years that I don't feel emotionally secure in our relationship. I can't put my finger on why but I believe it comes from past let downs and I've also been sensitive about marriage lately (seeing several others around our age getting married but us not). Just a few months ago he was talking about marriage (when we were on break and he thought he would lose me) but now not a word about marriage. Now when I bring up marriage it's always "I want it with you but just not now" or "I'm not sure when I want marriage for sure because divorce statistics are high".. I don't ask often about marriage but when he says this I take it personal instead of thinking maybe it has nothing to do with me and he just isn't ready.. he's 24 and hasn't established himself financially yet so this is a good reason to wait I believe and I try not to pressure marriage. (I rarely bring it up) I just want to feel emotionally secure so I try to look to myself to do that instead of painting a fairy tale love story in my mind. I've always believed in true love and I see some people really have it but I get doubtful too. I love my bf a lot.. he's such a great guy and he loves me and we've both told each other we want this for sure but I just can't seem to get over my emotional insecurities.. Anyone dealing with this? |
Question: Should a couple marry if they can't agree on having children? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 08:53 PM PDT I'm looking for a partner. I want children, so I'm only looking for a woman who wants children. I don't think it's even possible for a couple to "compromise" if one wants children and the other doesn't. So i will end a relationship on the spot if my partner tells me she doesn't want kids. I want kids and that's that. Is there ANY way that a couple to "compromise" if they disagree on having kids? Or should they jus end the relationship if they disagree with each other? When did I say anything about biological kids? Get off the page if you're going to post stupid comments. |

Question: I don't want to date? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 08:21 PM PDT Im a 36 yr old male I don't want to get married. I've seen nothing good come out of marriage. My parents marriage is crap. No one loves me or my sister we have no family. Women aren't nice to me and never have been. When I think of dating I get sick to my stomach and get a massive panic attack. It's too damn frustrating. |
Question: Where do you go to meet people.? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 08:13 PM PDT I don't go out much because of my social anxiety problems. Im trying to go out a little. Where can I go that's safe and not full of macho assholes looking for a fight? |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 06:50 PM PDT I had an affair about 6 months ago and I ended it but of course he's not letting it go that fast. He's blackmailed me into keep having sex with him or he will tell my husband everything and show him all the sexual pictures I sent him. I told him to just move on with his life because I'm trying to work things out with my husband and I'm sorry if I wasted his time. I was in a bad place I was vulnerable because my husband was mentally abusing me at the time and I had no one to turn to. Of course it's not right but I've chosen to end the affair. We slept together 3 times we used protection. And I just want him out my life for good. I thought he was a nice guy but showing his true colors by black mailing me. I want to block him but I'm scared if I do that will make him angry and he will for sure tell my husband then. I've been stalling I told him I went to Miami on a work trip and that I would be there for three weeks. My friend was like you should've told him you moved to Miami. My friend told me that he's really going to tell my husband anything he's just trying to scare me into complying to him. But what if he really does tell if I don't comply? What should I do after the three weeks are over with? Should I tell him I had to go on another work trip? Ever since I told him I was going on a work trip he's been keeping quiet but I need some more advice on what to say after words. I cannot believe he is still hanging onto me. Why can't he just find someone else to have sex with It's been 6 months 6 freaking months shouldn't he be over the situation by now Also I have known this man since I was in college but I just recently got to know him on a personal level this year |

Question: Should I keep my pregnancy? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 06:20 PM PDT My fiancé and I are expecting however he wants the baby more than I do. I am a 24 year old college student and was working part time at a club making good money (which I also consider my social life). Being that's he's a much older man, divorced, and has a child- he's also very capable of taking care of us completely & financially. His family is very unsupportive which makes this decision more uncomfortable.. He doesn't want to try again later on and wants me to keep this and won't forgive me if I abort it. We've only been engaged for 1 year- I love him, I'm very secured with him but I'm not sure if I'm ready yet |

Question: How do I get a man to commit to me after he just got divorced? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 05:31 PM PDT I am so in love with him but I don't want to press to hard as he just got out of divorce. I know he loves me too and he shows it often and appeals to my love language. Its just that I don't want to be too pushy I am not in a rush as I was married before also so I understand. But I want to be able to be open and honest and I feel like I have to hold back a but to avoid scaring him off. What should I do? |
Question: Does he like me? Does he want something serious? ? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:59 PM PDT We were classmates. Here's our LinkedIn messages: Guy: I'd say we should grab a drink after corona but who knows when that would be🤷 Me: sure maybe that would be next year based on how things are going 🤦 Guy: I hope not! Are you still living at so and so |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:43 PM PDT I don't hate my Dad now at all. But when I was 8 my mother left him cause of his drinking. She brainwashed me that he had left us and that he did not want a relationship with us kids or he wouldn't drink (he was an alcoholic). She constantly bad mouthed him and all of his family. She got me thinking my paternal grandmother was against us (my grandfather had died at this point). She especially harped on this at holidays but she had told him he was barred from seeing us unless he went sober and told my grandmother she was barred from visiting if he (my Dad) was with her. So growing up ages 8-16 I believed my Mom that my Dad was bad and all related to him were enemies. I believed her that they all rejected us. I even wrote angry notes to my Dad and slid them through walls in the family house of ours. When I was 16 my Mom remarried and softened. She started to let me do things with my grandmother and in the process let me see my alcoholic father as long as my grandmother was with me (that part I understand). I got close to him as my teen and adult years went on and he died in 2012 (my grandmother in 2004). Longstory short I feel enormous guilt that through the ages of 8-16 I was disloyal to my Dad, grandmother, and rest of his family. Now I am 38 and constantly obsessed with making up to my Dad's surviving family. I feel they define me by the divorce and me believing my Mom's hateful rhetoric and being estranged for those 8 years. So is this normal and should I feel guilt? |

Question: Do most people marry in their 20s? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 01:29 PM PDT |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 12:43 PM PDT I met my husband when I was 16 going on 17 and he was 19 going on 20. This was 12 years ago as of 7/3/20. We have had our ups and down downs like any marriage but the love is still there for both of us. We also have two boys (6 & 11) & things are fine. But I can't help thinking sometimes that because we fell in love so young, that maybe we won't last our whole lives together like we always dreamed of. Am I right or just paranoid?? |

My husband wants to take my son qithout my permission for a few days? What can do I do? Would it affect him in anyway now that he wants custody. My reason for letting him go is because my husband drinks a lot and gets aggressive. He lies to my son all the time. Would it affect his custody wants? Question: Husband doesn’t seem to care we are running out of money? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:35 AM PDT My husband has always wanted to live in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. After our kids finished college we retired and moved here. I hate it my husband loves it. We purchased a home in 2017 and paid cash for it. Soon after, we realized money was tighter then we expected (we put 3 kids through college.) We both decided to go back to work. Both of us are making peanuts I was making 9.75 per hour pay here. My job ended in November and I've been unable to find work since. My husband is the only one on unemployment due to Covid. Ii had a good paying job prior to moving here. I have a lot of resentment retirimg as early as we did he was 50 i was 51. As far as savings is concerned we will have completely drained our bank accounts by December 2020 if he and i both dont find better jobs. He tells me thinge like who cares the house is paid off we have no mortage. I want to move and go back to work!! He wont budge he loves it here and is content. I dont think he realizes nor does he care that we are struggling financially. All he ever says is "well the house is paid off so who cares." I want to work again in an area that offers better pay! I want to relocate I've never been this depressed or stressed out in my life. I'm honestly considering filing for divorce if he's so set on staying here making 9.00 per hour. Can anyone in the YA community offer some input? I'm struggling being in a resort area the job market is limited. Thank you. |

Question: Do I just not give him a bday present? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 08:23 AM PDT I had asked my BF what he would like for his bday, but he said stuff like how he already has everything, he doesn't know what gift, etc. So I asked him what about money since he has extra expenses (I've supported in past too). Then he became contradicting like agreeing to money but also said it's not good to take money again from me. Do I just not give him a bday present? Would he feel embarrassed if I give? |

Question: Why should a woman say "I'm not thinking of getting married !" ? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 04:36 AM PDT If you look on the internet, you can find a magazine article from 1958 titled "129 Ways To Get a Husband" . # 82 was "On the first date, tell him you aren't thinking of getting married !" . If she's looking for a husband, why should she say "I'm not thinking of getting married !" ? Why can't she be honest and say "I want to get married !" ? Isn't being dishonest a bad place to start a relationship ? If a woman has been wanting to get married ever since she was a little girl, or if she decided to get married and than went looking for a husband, I have to know that about her . If a woman says "I'm not thinking of getting married !", won't she make a bad girlfriend, a bad wife, and a bad mother ? If she says "I'm not thinking of getting married !", won't she hate being married ? |
Question: My wife has infidelity issues? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 04:00 AM PDT Recently,I found out my wife had sex with someone she worked with , who she had convinced me was her cousin. I only found out because he was blowing her phone up at weird hours in the night. I already had my suspicions because she would only talk to her "cousin" on the phone behind closed doors and talked to everyone else around me. I dove into a deep depression. For days I contemplated about killing him and sometimes even myself...I couldn't eat and all I could think about were the times she left me at home alone to probably go see him...I still think about it but I cannot play the victim... I played a part in it too. When we first started dating and even when we first got married I texted other females and would leave her home alone while I went on casual "dates"...I never had sex with them. I watched her cry over it but I eventually stopped. We eventually let the whole issue blow over and we cleared the air and came to an agreement that it would never happen again. However, once again a gut feeling urged me to dig deeper and I found more messages between her and several dudes prior to and after our agreement. I disregarded the prior because although she didn't tell me about those people it was in the past. But the fact that she still was texting them has left me unhinged.. I even found pictures of a dude in my house...I honestly don't know what to do..typically I would brush this off but I love her more than myself. There is much more to this story but this should suffice. |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:13 AM PDT So my wife met a new group of friends from work. The call themselves the wife's club. There a guy who is trans in the group. My wife thinks its ok to cuddle under blanket with her. Is this OK? I want to be the one under the blanket with her and she's fighting me the whole way. My bf is a girl I've know for 28 years climbed in my lap one night, against my will telling me how much she loved me. Not sexual. My wife is using this as an excuse to do whatever she pleases. Bff not bf |

Question: Men: Do you beat your wife? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 01:31 AM PDT |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 12:33 AM PDT Hello, I'm a 26 year old female and my husband is 25 male with his best friend 28 year old male. They met in school, been friends for a long time. They run a maintenance company together fix things post ads etc. They often come to ours exhausted after work playing Call Of Duty against each other or watch football he is nice and polite and thought nothing of it. Anyway, the car broke down on the weekend and darren (his best friend) gave me a lift while my hubby fixed it (eventually). We did shopping together and he evidently flirted with me. This flirting carried on over text and i liked it i don't know it felt exciting and naughty I wasn't intending to go any further. Well, we ended up having sex when he offered to fix a plug my husband didn't fix for gone a year. This carried on, having sex a weekly basis we have done it 4 times or so maximum once twice a week. I have been emotional today and realised what I have and I have been a complete idiot. I rang him this morning and told him it's over and I will tell my husband and he says "thats suicide for all of us especially the business, just forget it happened". I dont think i can. I have really messed things up now, help. |
Question: At what moment did you know you were a man instead of just another male? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 12:32 AM PDT I'm 34 and still struggle with male identity. I've never been in a serious relationship and growing up I was coddled by my mom. In the past year I have been living on my own in a suite but some guys I know who are younger than me have wives and live in houses. I am very immature for my age and did not have anyone to show me how to be a man growing up. My dad wasn't around neither. |
