She was an alcoholic and then went sober 4 years ago for my Dad and her parents. Now she's drinking again just like before. Her mother has Alzheimer's and her father died. My Dad died of COVID-19 in April.

I miss them so much. I cannot see anyone but immediate family.

I can honestly say that I hate my younger sister and after I move out, I don't care if I ever see her again. She is my only sibling and it is sad but I can not stand the way she treats me and my family. I don't even know where to start, she has a lot of friends was pretty popular at school. Really talkative and friendly with them. When it comes to us her family though she wants nothing to do with us. Completely disobeying what my parents say, does whatever she wants. She sneaks out and does partying with her friends without a mask and when we brought it up to her about that she said "it is not my problem if I give you the virus." She tells me stuff like "I wish I had a brother." Pushes me out of the way all the time. If I try to go in her room to talks to her she ignores me and then tells me "go away." She does not have a word of conversation the whole day with us. My parents and I sit out here and talk, she just comes out to eat, then go back in bed on her phone. Then comes out and says she is leaving then leaves. No conversation with us at all, and when we try to talk to her she won't give us the time. Then she has the audacity to say things like "my family does not care about me" to her friends. My parents are very loving parents they make so mamy attempts to get through to her yet she is just a you know what. Defiant, a b, just very rude amd disrespectful to her family but nobody else. She has pretty much been like this a long time. I just feel so bad for my parents.

She noted I am not wrong but to keep my narcissistic sister tame just not to speak to her.

 i will admit i complain alot .so i got into a fight with my sister. sometimes her words and actions would hurt alot and it would be very hurtful but i understand her attitude when im complaing cause she deals with problems better than i do but at times she would be very bitchy and pushy and put me down when i really need help or emotional support. there were moments were she did bully me and abuse me, one time she even said i should go kill myself. i wanted to end my relationship with her for many years but i still stay intouch for the sake of our parents. so i messaged her and told her im your little sister and you dont have to be a jerk like that, and i will stop talking to you when our parents wont be alive one day. it pissed her off and she said she will call our dad and tell him how i complain, i felt hurt and embarassed. idk if i was out of line or if i was right to feel what i felt. what should i do if she calls up my dad and embarasse me and what should i say to her? am i a bad guy or what?

My 14yrs old step brother listen to suicideboys all the time. He doesnt act happy but doesnt act sad either. As a person who deal with PTSD and other mental illness, I listen to a lot of depressing stuff and I'm really worried about him. I dont see him all the time since he live in different state. He came for a visit yesterday and he's going to stay here for month. I dont wanna be noisy but my gut is telling something is wrong. I dont know what to do... he doesnt have no cuts but just listening to these type of songs means that he have thoughts of it because I listen to these type of songs when I do. can anybody who know teenage boys give me any advice?

i will admit i complain alot in my life. i have no job or education. i suffer from deperssion. and my dad isnt as healthy as he used to be and my mom is going blind and im 28 and still live with my parents. my sister is the only person i can talk to cause i have no firends because i have poor social skills with other people. so i got into a fight with my sister its hard to explain. i message her oftenly and complain alot cause im emotional and sensitive and somtimes i just dont know what to do. but i understand her attituide when im complaining, the fact she deals with problems better than i do with mine. but at times her reply would be bitchy or pushy espeacially when i need help or advice or even some emotional support. but somtimes her words and actions would be hurtful and her level of ignorance would make me feel very small, one time she even said i should go kill myself. she would even bully and abuse me when im feeling really down. i wanted to end my relationship with her for many years but i still talk to her due to my parents sake .so i said to her, im your little sister you dont have to be a jerk like that and i wont talk to you when our parents wont be alive one day. it pissed her off and said that she will call up our dad and tell him how i complain. i felt hurt and embarassed. what should i do even if she does call my dad and embarasse me and how should i react to this whole thing? idk if i was out of line or i was right to feel what i felt.

Ik my mom is strict, but sometimes I feel like she's doing out of jealousy and it's seriously making me want to move out the house. My mom, her bf and my siblings moved in a house a year ago n we were fine at first, but things started getting complicated. The house needed a lot of help during the summer, so I said I wouldn't mind helping out, but I also wanted to hang out with my friends, and i was 17 at the time. But literally spent the whole summer doing house+yard work. I barely spent any time with my friends. Fast forward, I really wanted my driver license, but she won't give me her time to just sit in the car with me and let me drive. N driving became an issue for me because I really needed to get to places because my mom was never available so I always had to reconsider or cancel things either for school or friends. My mom bf had cancer n i helped him when she was at work so he said to me that he would take me driving since my mom never do, we did but she accused me basically having an affair n i was totally pissed off. I stopped driving with him. There was non going on between me and her bf. So I stopped driving again. Im 18 now, out of highschool and I don't even have a job or a car to get to a job because of all of this ridiculous ****. Sorry for my language. I'm just fed up, and I really want to have my freedom. I really need a job. Mentally tbh, Its not the best because im ngl, my mom made me feel like **** and depressed. I love her but she shuts me down n its 😭😭

My dad is in the military and sometimes he is gone for several months. When he comes back mom usually makes good food and we have some fun. After everyone has brushed their teeth and gone to bed they are really loud. I can hear him moaning and rocking the whole bed. Why does he do it and is ir normal? Btw I am 14 and my dad is 36 and mom is 34.

Right now he's pretty nice to me but he acts crazy with his sons. Like he literally beat one of them up (idk what the fight was about) and he screams at them all the time and gives them crazy punishments for dumb stuff like missing curfew or not getting A's.  They're actually really nice too so it's not like he has to - I'm just worried that once he marries my mom he'll be like that to me too. My mom says he wouldn't because I'm a girl and he's "physical" w them because they're boys, but I'm not sure if that's true.  

The mom kept my husband's daughter away, and after many years they happen to run into each other. The step dad got into a big argument with my husband. The step dad was saying I am not the step dad. I am the dad that step up. I been in my little girls life since she was 6, and she is 20 now. If wife kept you away you should of took her to court. Where were you for everything. I am the one who put clothes on her back, took her on vacation, but food in her belly, and bandaids her scrap knees. "  The mom kept her away that is not her dad. My husband is, and how do we make that clear!!!!

i was at my grandmas house and i'm 17 and my mom dropped me off at her house and i was eating dinner at the dining room table and i accidentally dropped some food and she hit me hard and screamed at me and it took forever to calm her down then later her mouse on her computer wasn't working so i was helping her fix it then i apparently made it worse because the light didn't turn on and she beat me again and freaked out and these kinda things kept happening all day and im stressed

 My fiance, and I are renting, an upper, and his sister, and her fiance are renting the place below us. I am not sure what to do sometimes because there is always so many issues. Eg I bunt eggs today. I forgot to turn the burner off, and my brother-in-law comes and starts to yell that his place smells like burnt food, abd says he is going to call the landlord. My daughters room is above theirs, and she is 8, so she had to make sure she always walk quite, or they will come up, and yell it's keeping them up.  I have a cat that is 20 lbs, and if he runs or jumps around that get upset. Its an old house, and thin floors. They are awesome in a lot of ways, but we have to make we are quit when they go to bed, not be to loud. I got yelled at because I put fresh little in the box, and to much little was put in the boxes, or I waited to take out the old little because it was pretty heavy for me to carry down stairs, so I waited until my fiance got off work to it I got yelled for letting it sit. I was heavy!!  We were running low on garbage bag so I doubled it up and put all the litter in one bag. I wasn't thinking it be that heavy. It's always something...

I have been going back and forth arguing with my baby father ex girlfriend for 4 months. She talked about me AND him on Facebook, she exposed their text messages of Them saying they had sex when I was pregnant AND NOW he's bringing their son to my house...WHICH makes me think he STILL like her. She already TALK crap about me online saying she HOPE my DAUGHTER die and HE didn't SAY anything but "You're NOT gonna fight her" . So last night I attacked him for bringing his son over because that same day She (his ex) posted a picture of him saying "Why can't I touch you anymore, and she's like, "because you're with someone" . I was pissed off to the point I WANT to beat HER ***. our kids may be related BUT I don't want their SON at MY house because of HER! Am I wrong for NOT wanting his SON at my House?

I live in a very high priced home area. My daughter just recently got a good job that would allow her to make the loan payments for a home loan. However it will take her years to save enough for a down payment. She was talking with my dad about her desire to buy a home and because home prices keep rising she was afraid she would never get enough money to make the down payment. My dad is VERY CREATIVE and told her he had a solution to her problem. He told her he would loan her the money for the down payment and subtract that amount from my inheritance. He would then assign the loan to me. That means that if I want my inheritance, I will have to collect it from my daughter. I am not sure I want to do that. Does that seem fair to you? All my friends that I told about this tell me my daughter has the greatest grandfather there is. I am conflicted about this. Should I be happy with this arrangement or not?

So I'm a 21 year old guy and I feel so lost in my life. I have a minuscule social circle, hardly have any hobbies besides playing video games and I sometimes feel like I don't even know myself.  Most of my time is spent either working, sleeping or playing video games and I feel unfulfilled. At times I find myself taking a nap because I have nothing else to do. Most of my time I am alone and I hate it. At 21, this is not the life I envisioned for myself. Most of my former friends turned their backs on me for reasons unknown to me. I have maybe 2 or 3 friends and that's all. Other than that all I have is my family. I really don't know what to do to fix my situation. I feel like I am going nowhere with my life. Please help 

i'm a nervous person in my forties now, i have lived alone 15 years in a flat, i have no relationships or support network except my elderly parents who live far away....living alone, i not only suffer great loneliness but i jump at loud noises in the apartment block i live in....i jump and get nervous at noises outside in the street....jump at noises in the night.....feel very ''nervy'' and on edge constantly....expecting something very bad to happen at any moment.. whats the answer when you are like that?

In some recent hot weather my sister decided to sun bath in our garden. I came home and while in my room I looked down from my window and saw her. Of course I started to whack one out but kept thinking it was wrong. Also how can you clean curtains without taking them down.

One of my husband's sisters lives over the road and all my hb family seem to flock over there but never come to see us.I know I'm the sister in law but I don't like the way we are being treated.The sister who lives over the road only comes to see us once a year if we are lucky, we always seem to hear from them when they want something!our son was 1,a month ago and the coronavirus had set limitations so two of them came to the house but didn't get out of the car and 1 came before the cake dropped present and went.Two of them, their chn have had birthdays since and we called to drop the present and the whole family was in the house celebrating but couldn't do that with us for our sons bday.Yesterday was another child's bday, the sister over the road and we decided not to go and to show up today instead as they were able to have a big family gathering then.we are upset over this and we don't know what to do.advice would be good

So im 18 and my mom wont let me get my driver license or get a car. Idk y, I asked her n her excuse is that she's always tired from work to teach me any driving or she either has yard work to do. I've been asking for almost 2 years to please just sit in the car and let me drive. But it wouldn't happen. So im 18 now, I need a job. She would let me but  ik that she's not available to take me because work 2nd shift n I don't wanna bother her when she needs her sleep. There's also no city bus near me and I don't even have money to begin with to get to work. I'm not working currently but I'm just desperate because I'm going crazy, I can't do anything without my mom permission on almost everything and its driving me nuts. 

I do not understand her problem. My friend told me that her mom is always nagging and getting upset with her for no reason. Example: Her mom yelled "Why did you go out this morning to the store to waste money you do not need to buy new clothes" meanwhile she always help buy groceries for the house. Then she said ,You are not working right now you should not be out for more than 2 hours because of covid 19 unless you have a boyfriend and you are not telling me" For years whenever my friends go out she always yell and say " You have to come home by 9pm and you are not doing sh&^ with yourself" Her siblings moved out of state but she said " No you cant move out of state because you are childish" This girl is over 27 years and has a degree but her mom always control her. Her mom also said " Do not waste your money and get your own place" SOOO ANNOYED!! 

Please don't be harsh in the comments. We all go through things.  My dad and mom argue a lot. About money, his family, and a lot of other things. He shuts her down and calls her names such as non compassionate, non emotional, and mean. She is just frustrated and can't talk to him because he shuts her down. I don't help because sometimes I give her a hard time too but for the most part I'm there for her. He is just very mean but to his friends he is the nicest down to earth coolest guy ever. What is my mom supposed to do? If you're a troll your comment will be ignored. A therapist or doctor would be appreciated!!

I come from a black family. 3 brothers and an older sister. So my brother born right after me is 20 and I thought by now he would be a bit smarter but I guess not. I was in the room with my sister and youngest brother and we they were talking about the protest. And that is when he come in says blurts our "fck black lives matter!" My sister was in complete shock, saying are you serious? He laughs and says it was a joke. I told him he really needs to grow up. We are all black males, this is not anything to joke about, he gets angry and says we are all ganging up on him. And then asking us why do we care about some random black dude anyway. I told him I don't give a fck about any of that right now, I told him he needs to shut up before he regret it. He gets angry and says "who is going to to make me shut up!?" So I got up with my fist ready to fight. My sister grabs me and says he's not worth it. But now I'm not not angry, I just want call him and talk to him but idk if he would listen he's probably still mad. 

My sister and I get along so well, we have our arguments but we get along.  Some background information, she's 25 and I'm 22. We still live in our parents house and my sister suffers from mental health issues.  Recently I have been having this motivation to improve myself since I recently turned 22 and wanted to use this age to better myself. I wanted to start my hobbies, have some own time and hopefully start looking for a relationship, move out and find a job. But the only issue is that my sister wouldn't like it as I've been spending all my time with her; watching TV all night and other sisterly bonding activities. She has mental health issues and she relies on me for support as well as my mom. I have to watch tv with her just so her mental wellbeing is good before she falls asleep. There was this day where I got a short term job, which meant that my time spending with my sister was short. She got annoyed that I took this job as she thought it'll mean that we wouldn't be able to watch tv at midnight anymore and she threw a tantrum. I eventually quit the job because I felt bad for spending less time with my sister. I once half jokingly told her that I'm hopefully going to get married by 25 years if I get someone, she got nervous and told me that I shouldn't.  I'm worried that if I was to try and reach my aims for the future that I'll be selfish for abandoning my sister who relies on me.  I know in her heart she wants me to do well but I don't want to hurt her.

I an a high school senior with twin step sisters my age, my step mother's daughters. They are both gorgeous with a figure to die for. They like to come in my room in the evening so I can help them do their homework. I am happy to help them as I really like them. The problem is when they come in for homework help they wear their shorty nightgown and nothing else. Everything is visible. I would NEVER EVER have sex with my sisters. Every guy know what I mean when I say sometimes something comes up. It is totally embarrassing when this happens. They don't know I sometimes do this as I hide it from them. When I ask them to wear more clothes when the come into my room, they tell me there is no way I should be sexually attracted to them. Does this make me a perverted sick guy?

Last night, my mom and I were talking about how my dad used to not get a lot of food when we were teens. I never minded really but my mom couldn't believe how little food we had. My mom and dad are divorced.  My dad never used to buy snacks or lunch items really. We used to eat dinners such as frozen pizza, hot dogs, sugary cookies, lettuce, and just not a lot of food. Also, we would always have the same fruit, apples. We never changed anything up. We had a lot of sugary and salty things. Our fridge and pantry was always very light. My brother even said that his friends ate the same way. My brother and I were used to it. I think my dad may have heard last night when my mom and I were talking because today he bought a watermelon which he never used to get. I think he may have heard us. I wasn't making fun of it I was just laughing and remembering what we used to have. Do you think he may have heard? My mom was stating concern for what we used to eat

My son (14) watches a lot of video game streamers on Twitch.tv. I personally don't find them entertaining but I can understand why some people (like my son) do. Over the past month he's starting using terms like "pog", "jabaited", and "Kappa" which I guess are terms that are used in the scope of Twitch. I don't have an issue with my son using these terms but it's gotten to the point where every sentence is Twitchspeak. We were having dinner and my daughter (age 12) was talking about how she got accepted for a summer program with the local animal shelter, and my son said "Pog you, easy clap". I told him that it was getting out of hand and that he would have to communicate normally to his parents and family. To that he said "Weird champ, feels weird man, normies omega LOL." Until he learns to communicate like a normal human being I've blacklisted Twitch from the internet for the time being. He's hysterical now but I told him that I would unblacklist it if he stopped using twitchspeak, but he's refusing to stop so for now
