Question: Who can help me stop cussing? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 07:21 PM PDT I use to never cuss. My brother once said if I did curse it was like hearing a nun do so. Now I cuss like a sailor. I am not proud of it and want to stop. Does anyone have any ideas? I do it when people are and are not around. I need suggestions please. |

Question: Should I keep contacting a friend? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:52 PM PDT Recently I invited my friend to hangout with me twice, and she declined the invitation both times. First time she told me she was tired but maybe tomorrow. I said no problem, and I didn't text her the next day nor did I hear back from her. The following day I asked her again if she wanted to hangout, and she said she was a little preoccupied BUT maybe later. I said cool, maybe later then, and I didn't hear back from her later that day. Now she isn't super busy or has a tight schedule. I'm a little annoyed because she can't give me a yes or simple no answer, and I don't want to ask again because I'm half expecting the same result. Should I just stop and see if she reaches out to me instead? I consider her a close friend. |
Question: Mis compañeros no confian mucho en mi y se rien de mi ¿que hago? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:45 PM PDT quisiera que me comprendan y que confien yo intento ser amigable pero ellos no colaboran no quieren hablar |
Question: Quarantine Birthday ideas? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:21 PM PDT So I'm turning 19 in a few weeks, and since March I haven't seen any of my friends in 5 months. I want to see my 2 closest friends but the only idea I have is getting boba tea and watching a movie at my place, but I feel like that's boring and I don't want to waste my only opportunity. Has anyone had a successful small party lately? Note: None of my friends or I work jobs, most of our families work from home, so social distancing isn't an issue. |

Question: Is it wrong to fall in love with your best friend? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 05:52 PM PDT I recently got back from SC where I was living for 12 years. I recently started having feelings for my brother's girlfriend who has been single since my brother passed away in 2008. Everytime I get around her, I just start kissing her and touching her in ways that friends don't usually do with one another. We're very flirty with one another to the point where we are making out on the couch with each other and turning one another on. I've never been like this ever with her and I seem to be falling for her more and more every time we're together. What should I do? We're both single and both have never been married |
Question: Was this an ok reply? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 05:27 PM PDT Called my BF but he didnt pick up. He then texted "Busy" which I replied with "Ok no prob :) Talk to you later~" Was this an ok reply or makes me seem bit annoyed? |
Question: “It’s been years..get over it” Opinions on this statement? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 04:21 PM PDT I've decided to confront someone who hurt me for the first time (time period 2017-2019), and along with their friends, telling me that it was "a long time ago" and to just get over it. What are your opinions on this |
Question: My best friend has is overly critical and judgemental what should I do? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 03:55 PM PDT I confided in her as a best friend should regarding my relationship and she basically came down on accused me of wrongdoing on my part after I already did but basically saying I should stop playing a pity party and grow up. The situation involved a life changing decision and I feel like she should be way more supportive than she already has. I feel that she is always slightly jealous anyway since I'm engaged and she is still trying to convince her boyfriend to marry her. What should I do? We have been friends since we were kids but I get tired of the constant criticizing |

Posted: 15 Jun 2020 01:51 PM PDT I have two daughters who are 29 and 26, two sons who are 24 and 20. The oldest one has three children. The 26 year old doesn't want any children but she does have a boyfriend who is really nice and takes care of her. The older one has her husband of 10 years and does NOT work at all. She hasn't worked since her oldest child who is 8 now was about 3 years old. She dropped out of school to work and help my mom whom she has lived with until she got married and never finished school. All my life I struggled to get her to finish high school at least but she never took an interest. The other three finished high school perfectly and got a job, she didn't. She had kids instead. She calls me everyday to see how I am and often brings her kids so they can be with us. The thing is, when she calls me, the kids are always running around outside, yelling or asking her for things. I always try to tell her how to handle her kids but she doesn't listen. ''Mija, don't let them yell too much.'' ''Mija, take care of those kids'' ''Mija, don't buy them this or that'' She recently got a puppy for them and she got bothered because I told her ''Take care of that puppy! Don't let it near the kids!'' Now, she has gotten the idea of taking out her GED. After all these years, she supposedly wants to make an example for her kids? Is it wrong that whenever she tells me about her classes I can't help to think that she's a failure? Don't know if you can see the picture.. the oldest one is at the back. |

Question: How to make true friends on fb? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 11:55 AM PDT I'm in my 40's and moved to a town where I don't know a soul. My husband works and I stay home with the kids. It will be 4 more years before I can get a job. We are in an extremely small rural community. My closest neighbor is 2 miles away and 67 years old. Tried making play dates with other moms and none accepted. I'm not getting any invites for anything. It's been 6 months. Extremely lonely. They obviously have their click and no outsiders welcome. Definitely not like the movies where someone brings you a pie. |
Posted: 15 Jun 2020 10:23 AM PDT Left some beer at friends place. It was to share only. Two weeks later he brings it to my place we drink it get drunk. I said isn't that what I brought and he's like yeah it's mine now I guess lol. Like I said we were drunk. Plus I go to his place all The time and he gives me some of His beer only. Like we share it and all. So I should forget about it right. |
Question: A very close friend isn't replying to me? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 09:27 AM PDT She went on vacation with her family a week ago and was supposed to be back by now. We have been friends for 7 years now and we had sex about a week before she left and we were starting to get really close. She told me she was going to miss me while she was on vacation and that she'd text me every day. That was the last I heard from her. When I call her it goes straight to voice mail. My next move is to go to her parents house and ask them where she is but I don't know if I'm going to far by doing this. Should I go ask her parents where she is? I don't really know her parents that well. I've only met them a couple of times. She was obsessed with me for about a month. She was texting me all day every day up until she left for vacation. I'm just worried that something happened to her while she was on vacation. |

Question: Do you think my cousin tried to set me up? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:58 AM PDT I'm 24 and have always been close to my cousin who was born the same year and same DAY as me. We have always been like sisters our whole lives and never crossed eachother before. some petty family members would often pin her and I against eachother but we never listened because we were so close and was no competition. Late last year, it was brought to my attention that her mom said some negative things about me & used to always compare my cousin with I in an extreme way. I asked my cousin if she heard the rumor as well and she got offended by my question but we talked about it overall dropped it. We've been speaking almost everyday again and hang out all the time. It was over. So I thought... It's now June and my cousin texted me saying " Hey! Wanna come to my friends' Erica's kickback party? She's not mad at you anymore" I respond "I didn't know she was mad at me, what happened?" "I kind of made up a situation that her boyfriend DM'd you and she was PISSED about it. I was pissed about you asking about my mom so I did this being spiteful. I'm sorry" So I'm blown away that could even do this. I let it go and said I'll come to her party and that I'll bring my best friend as well. She's now saying that I should come alone so it'll be an "intimate setting" with just us 3. It sounds fishy and I wasn't buying it..but shocked I came to the party "alone" (my best friend was on standby the whole time) and when I walked in it was 5-6 other girls who I never met before. |
Question: Problems with friends? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:44 AM PDT I've come to the conclusion that my friends don't necessarily care about me. They say they do, but their actions say otherwise. The only reason my friends contact me is to complain or rant about other people/their problems, while when I try to talk to them about something that's annoying me they have that "yea cool anyway more about me" mentality. I check up more often, asking how they're feeling/doing, all the time and they won't do the same to me. I just feel that although they say they care, they don't. But I'm not sure what to do about it. I'm about to be a senior in high school, so should I just continue hanging out with them for the year or try to reach out and get other friends? Also, if I do that, how do I reach out without seeming weird? Thank you. |
Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:01 AM PDT A few weeks before the lockdown began mid March, I saw my friend multiple times - everything was normal. Lockdown began and I went home to stay with family, so I messaged my friend to ask if she was okay. I waited a week with no response, I sent another message. Then weeks went by and I was worried, so I emailed her as text/fb messaging was not getting a response. A month later and she texts me saying "I'm okay, thanks. So sweet of you to reach out. Will reach out when things settle down." Not having any other context and knowing her mother and grandmother are older, I was worried but decided to not reach out again. 2 months later, she messages me out of the blue with "Hey! Sorry. Been overwhelmed, as I'm sure you have been too." Basically making a blanket excuse for ignoring me. To me, this behavior doesn't scream I'm a "friend" but more like "convenient acquaintance." I know everyone has reacted differently to this current climate, but I can't help but think my friends all have tried their best to keep in touch, stay connected, say how they're feeling etc. I can't help but feel like this friend's behavior was rude. While I don't want to necessarily lose the friendship, I want to handle my response to her carefully. How do I respond? I want her to know I think her behavior has been rude without being harsh. |
Question: Am I being over sensitive ? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 04:16 AM PDT My sister died a month ago and my best friend has practically ignored me . I could have done with her to speak to but she hasn't contacted me at all . I contacted her initially to tell her what happened - I went to see her a few days later then I heard nothing for a few weeks until I text her on the day of the funeral . She got back to me hours later with a brief message saying how bad it must have been . No questions how it went , how am I etc . Nothing , just a brief closed text . I feel really let down as we were friends at school and I'm in my late 20s now . Do I have the right to feel let down Or am I being over sensitive ? Thanks |

Posted: 15 Jun 2020 02:34 AM PDT I know a couple of guys I went to school with that majored in computer science or got a 5 year BS/MS in Data Science and are making 120-180k a year at 22-23 years old. And others I know who majored in anthropology or art history are making $800/month working 20 hours a week filing papers and making calls at a call center And these guys are making 120-180k in average cost of living areas, not California. One guy I know who got a job in Silicon Valley at 23 is making 275k a year at 23 years old |
Question: What does this mean? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 11:54 PM PDT My best friend and I stopped being friends. Shortly after, he told one of our mutual friends what happened and said "Don't mention me around her". (Me being her). Our mutual friend thinks he was trying to be respectful since his mistake was what ended our friendship and that he knows I don't want to hear about him. What do you think my ex friend meant by that? |
Question: Would you want to know if you were being cheated on? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 11:39 PM PDT I have a guy friend, who's girl confided in me. She told me she had webcammed with a mutual friend of ours naked and dirty talked with him. I don't know if I should tell my friend. I feel wrong not saying anything. She's 18 and he's 20. They've been together on and off a few years. |
Question: Do you think my cousin tried to set me up to get hurt? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 11:24 PM PDT I'm 24 and have always been close to my cousin who was born the same year and same DAY as me. Question: How can I be happy with the way I look or learn to like myself? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 10:49 PM PDT My best friend is hot. We're both guys. I'm not gay, but I think he looks pretty good. I feel I look ugly and am not happy with my appearance. Whenever I go over to his house, he looks better than me and I feel horrible. I don't have anything against him, but whenever I leave I feel depressed, because he has everything I want. Help me please!!! |
Question: How can I feel better about having no friends? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 10:41 PM PDT I want to love myself I can't rely on other people for happiness |
Question: Do you have many friends ? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 08:37 PM PDT I have friends now but there was a time when i was ALL ALONE, it was terrible. I hate being alone because when im alone all i think about is the past. I have a really bad past, memories i would really rather forget n when im alone it seems to just all come out. The people around me i feel are kind of keeping me alive n sane because without them. I dont think i could handle it, i would probably kill myself. The memories are just to much for me to handle on my own. |
Question: What a some good small gift ideas for my boss? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 07:26 PM PDT So I just got a new manager and I'd like to surprise her with something small. Just a small gesture. Like an apple or something. And ideas?? I don't know too much about her so I'm trying to think of something of a small gift or treat everyone likes. I work in a grocery store. It could be an apple, a cup cake, etc. |
Question: Should I bring my friend over for my bday bbq? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 06:26 PM PDT Hello, I am turning 16 this weekend and my parents keep insisting to invite my best friend from school Heather. Heather is a party girl, gets loud, and I feel is not really fitting with my family. My mom is conservative and my dad is old fashioned military. We live in the suburbs and she's raised in south central LA. Nooo there is NO racism involved it's just about culture clashes. I love my friend but I don't want my parents to force me not to see her again. WWYD?? |
