My boyfriend and I are 29 and 30 and have been together for over a year. We live together. Before we moved in together 6 months ago, we agreed that we both wanted to live together to ensure we are compatible before getting engaged. We were both 100% in agreement on that. Three times within the past 6 months we've checked in with each other to confirm we're both still happy and still see ourselves marrying each other. The only thing is we haven't discussed when we'd actually take that next step and get engaged. He knows I'm ready but I guess he isn't since he hasn't proposed yet. I'd like to bring this up without coming across as impatient or insecure or needy or unhappy. It's one thing to know that he plans on marrying me but it would be nice to know if he see's us getting engaged within the next 6 months or 2 years, etc. Any advice on how to approach this?
