Question: I Don't Want To Interact With My Mom When She Gets Home, how do I tell her? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 01:57 PM PDT So my mom gets home from work in about thirty minutes. I know this sounds really disrespectful and I honestly shouldn't be saying this, but I honestly want to be left alone when she gets back. My mental state has been really weird and my mom is very short tempered and I won't be able to handle it if I make a wrong move and she gets upset. I've never told her to leave me alone before and i've never asked to be left alone. So when the inevitable "how was your day" question comes along, how to I politely ask her to go away?? |
Question: What does it mean when my son says "bru"? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 01:57 PM PDT My son is 13 years old and has been using the slang term bru more often. He usually responds to me asking him to do his chores like laundry and cleaning his room, but he just says bru. I am so confused and I need to know what a bru is. |
Posted: 12 Jun 2020 01:37 PM PDT I've had 4 cats since they were born because their mother abandoned them so my family and I kept them alive. Its been almost two years they've been with me. If I were to give them away would they be okay? |
Question: Mom told me to **** off and leave her life? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 12:30 PM PDT the phone i have barely functions anymore, it can only to be used to call someone, text, and watch youtube and so my phone is really dry so i dont check it really much. so my mom called me on her way to work 11 times and i just saw the call bc i just got out the shower and she screamed at me bc she said tht she is tired of having to call me multiple times and then she lateron in the call said tht i stress her out (bc where i live is in a bad neighborhood and I do my part by staying inside and not answering the door) and that she wants me to get out her life and also told me to **** off twice. what do you think? |
Question: Do I need to end my life because of this mistake? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 12:28 PM PDT My dad bought two cinnamon rolls and before he left I said that I wanted one. My mom didn't say she wanted a cinnamon roll or anything else. I accidentally ate two cinnamon rolls. One was for me and one was for my mom. She said where is her cinnamon roll and my dad told her that it was there because he didn't know that I had already eaten it. My dad told my mom to ask me if I had eaten it and I said yes because I didn't know she had a cinnamon roll so I thought that my dad bought two cinnamon rolls for me. I have already explained in my previous questions why I want to end my life because my life and year are always both imperfect and this is just another issue that makes want to end my life. Also I wish that I had known that one of the two cinnamon rolls belonged to my mom so that my life and year can at least be slightly less imperfect. |

Question: I'm almost 20 and my parents are TOO strict. Please read i can not take it anymore ? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 11:41 AM PDT So since the lock down was put in place i havent asked to leave the house ONCE. today i asked if i can go play volleyball on campus because things are opening and id like the chance to make some friends. My mom is furious at me for asking. and i dont understand why. Before you tell me to just move out: I had a job offer for my college that came with free housing and i had to do my interview by call. My mom told me i was not allowed to move out. She sat in the same room as me when i had my call and made me tell them that i did not want the job anymore. If i didnt do this i would have had my phone taken away. I have had this controlling treatment for my entire life and i cant handle it anymore. They also dont allow me to work where i want to so it is very difficult to make enough money to buy my own place... they only let me work on campus (7 an hour) and im only allowed to work once a week and i have to be home by 6! because of them i have no friends and it really sucks. i am also not allowed to join organizations on campus because it is "unnecessary". What should i do?!!!!!!! |

Question: My sister took my drink. What should I do? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 09:47 AM PDT Yesterday my dad bought me and my sister raising canes chicken fingers, I got the 6 piece and she got the 4 piece, the 4 piece comes with a medium drink and the 6 piece comes with a large drink. She took my large drink and thought I wouldn't care, and left me with the medium lemonade. What should I do? |
Posted: 12 Jun 2020 09:08 AM PDT I love my mother very much and respect her, but unfortunately I have a problem that I face because of her..I have a sister who is two years younger than me and she often fights with my mother and ends up that my little sister begins cursing my mother ... and at the end of the day they return to each other as if it was nothing and this is a good thing, but When it comes to me .. I rarely enter into a discussion with my mother .. I literally did not swear at her in my life, but when I do any slight mistake she get angry and does not forgive me ... I do not know where the problem is..and I do not talk much .. I am not from people who can defend themselves by talking like even if I'm right ...I know she loves me ..but I don't know why she behaves like this towards me ...she often complain to me about my sister...like I really don't understand ... |

Posted: 12 Jun 2020 08:01 AM PDT Whenever I have money, my mother or sister tries to guilt trip me into giving them my money or they will even steal my money. When I say ''No'', they will repeatedly nag for my money or yell at me & call me all kinds of horrible names. When those tactics do not work, they will steal my money and then when I confront them, they act like I am the bad one and they're ''victims''. What should I do? I try hiding my money, but they then snoop through the entire house until they find it. I am 19 by the way, I keep most of money in my bank account and I have the rest in my wallet. Don't comment if you're going to accuse me of lying about my age and basically be rude overall, you'll be blocked & reported. I have much better things to do then ''lie'' about my age to complete strangers across the internet. Either give an actual HELPFUL ANSWER or keep your mouth shut & scroll past my question. |
Question: What should I do with my sister? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 07:50 AM PDT My sister is 15 and I'm 17 (I'm a girl). We're Spanish, but we live in France in our uncle's house. My uncle is a conservative religious Catholic and he believes that no one should have sex before marriage. I know that my sister has slept with an 18 year old guy and I know that she smokes, though my uncle doesn't approve that. I don't want to tell my uncle what's happening, because I know that he'll over-react. What should I do? My sister is too stubborn to listen to me. |
Question: How do I deal with them? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 06:57 AM PDT Nearly everyday, my sister yells at me, calls me every name under the sun, accuses me of things I do not do, and steals from me. What should I do? when I defend myself, she turns it all around on me and makes it seem like I am the bad one. |
Posted: 12 Jun 2020 04:50 AM PDT They say I am too honest when people ask me stuff. It is mainly in family politics they say this since their is a lot of hate in my Mom's extended family and I don't like to participate in it. |
Question: How do I get my Dad interested in loving me when he is arrogant and shows now respect? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 04:47 AM PDT Troy: He gave me food growing up but NO protection and limited guidance. In fact he taught me how to lie to my mother growing up and gets mad I don't lie more. He is very ignorant of people who are different. He has good qualities also. I am an adult asking this, not an angry teen who can't go out. I live on my own and see my father once or twice a year. |
Question: Advice on dealing with in my opinion a toxic parent? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 04:18 AM PDT Hi. I'm 20 years old, the youngest child of three, one of which has moved out of the house. Me and my 45 year old mother can't have a conversation longer than 10 minutes because she is constantly raising her voice and making a scene for most of the time no reason. I don't have a dad, and she has raised us herself most of our lives. I'm due to be moving out to study at university in September, but it's irritating not having a good relationship with at least one of my parents. I feel as though I am the least favourite child, her fuse with me is extremely short, compared to the other children. It's as though she is extremely emotionally mature and is constantly trying to prove to the rest of the family she has control over at least one of her children. She does help me out with money when I need it, and I am appreciative, but it doesnt make up for the disrespectful way in which she treats me. It's as though we are not compatible. Any advice? Emotionally immature* I know you guys cannot see the relationship for yourselves to make a solution, but any ideas are appreciated. I've tried talking to her. Sometimes she gets really nasty, especially when she has a drink which she often does. It's as though she doesn't see me as an adult (maybe because I'm not fully independent with a job?) |
Question: How was his mom physically able to carry him? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 02:04 AM PDT I know someone who when he was 14 his mom carried him over her shoulder the fireman's carry she was in her late 40s / early 50s kind of thin and looked exactly like Brady Reiter and he was 14 and thin. |
Question: Should i call the cops on my adult sister because she is a danger? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 01:18 AM PDT She threatened to kill us and grabbed a cane. I walked away and stood away from her and told her not to come near me. She acted like she was going to hit me for no reason. She starts an argument for no reason, I avoid her all the time. She's over 30yrs old. Should I just call the cops? My family members had tried to stop me and cover for her before. She repeatedly does this. Should i call anyway? She had hit people already and got away with it. She had come home after a psych hold and repeated it all. My family does nothing about her. i already avoided her, walked away, she chased me and tried to follow and hit me when i already walked away. she grabbed knives many times and nothing was done about it and made death threats. i'm thinking, if she does this again, i will call. I'm just worried about the repercussions, her coming back and doing it again. that has happened many times before, she was not put in jail, where she needs to be. She got released from a psych hold after 1 day. i do not want to risk getting injured again. |
Question: My life is better off without my family? Posted: 12 Jun 2020 12:49 AM PDT They ruin everything (mostly siblings) |
Question: Why my sibling tried to keep everyone away from me? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 11:37 PM PDT I have 6 older siblings and in my eyes they are all pretty decent. I followed in their footsteps and went to college etc. The sibling older than me did not go to college and not doing very well for herself has tried very hard to keep people away from me. For example, she would hang out individually with my other siblings and claim that I was the devil and hate when other people succeed etc. These things were never true and I was incredibly nice to everyone. Being nice to everyone has made me build a lot of great family friendships. Now that we are older and I had the chance to prove myself to others my sibling is incredibly angry and resentful. This technique of her keeping people away from me is abnormal anyone know why? |
Question: Ever since my sister got with her BF she has been in hospital way too many times? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:16 PM PDT At first it seemed my sister (who's an adult) just got sick but more & more she got sick & ended up in the hospital we became suspicious. She's been with her boyfriend for over a year. He's been in jail & once he came drunk to someone we knew, my sister's boyfriend told this person we knew that he had knocked my sister out conscious, that he slapped her to wake up & poured "liquids" on her face. My sister doesn't remember any of it. We notice that she doesn't carry her phone anymore & it's hard to reach her. She lost her kids custody 'cause of safety 'cause my sister's neighbors reported to the police how they heard my sister screaming for help. My sister's bf had punched, dragged, & shoved his fingers down her throat. My sister decided to drop charges on him. She literally can't leave him 'cause she thinks he's a good guy. He lives with her & doesn't work at all. The little bit of time we do see my sister, her bf kisses her or holds her hands in front of us but it seems forceful. The last past month she almost died & ended up the hospital, & she lost A LOT of weight. Today she ended up the hospital & my other sister saw the paper work, & we found out our sister is doing meth. She also has a lot of abominable pain issues. We think her bf is doing something to her. We tried telling my sister to leave him, & my older sister offered her to live with her. She even suggested my sister help so she can get her kids back. We believe she's sick, We pray but don't know what to do! |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:13 PM PDT Just curious.. If I was an adult who found out that I was kidnapped..i would tell the people who raised me to go to hell and not only disown them but sue them. |
Question: Brother always wants to hang out? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 09:51 PM PDT My older brother who is older than me and has always been an asshole has suddenly been nice to me because my business is doing well. He started his own and now is doing the weirdest things to get my attention. For example, cooking me breakfast and leaving it outside my apartment, acting hurt and sad around me so I can ask what is wrong. I find this obnoxious and quite annoying. No offense but I like sticking to people that have always been nice to me even without a business. Am I wrong for this? |
Question: Why are old white people so damn mean.? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 09:37 PM PDT My grandma and step grandfather are both violent cruel people. I am not allowed to eat their food or sit on their furniture. They starve me every time I visited them. Them scream and yell at me. They tear up my stuff. They beat me and tell me they hate me. They have never been there for anything in my life. What do I do? |

Question: What do you do when your family is evil? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 09:22 PM PDT They treate like complete crap they tell me to kill myself every time I see them. My grandparents hate me and beat me and starve me. They scream in my face and call me a retard . They shoved a diaper full of **** in face . They have burned me with fire pokers. They tell me that no one loves me. I think about killing myself. |
Question: Why won't my abusive family leave me alone? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 08:36 PM PDT I moved out years ago. They still call and ask where I am. Not because they care, but just to mess with me. I didn't tell them where I moved. They've been bullying me for years. I don't want anything to do with them. |
Question: Advice, and I’m ready to take all the criticism. ? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 08:07 PM PDT Ok, I'm not proud of this and I have accepted fully responsibility of my actions. I'm a senior in college and this coming school I am graduating. I have a very controlling father who constantly belittles me and holds everything he does for me over my head. My father thinks since he is successful and have money, I'm supposed to let him control me and deal with his abuse. I've never worked a job because I always put what my dad wanted first. He always told me go to school and get a job after I graduate college. But that's is his way of keeping me home and stuck with him. I'm not proud of this, but getting a sugar daddy was my plan. I met this guy on a dating app and he seemed legit. Well he told me that he was going to transfer me $12,000 into my N26 account and I could keep $1,000 of it and send the rest of the money to his business partners in China. I swear this sounds like a scam or a set up. Well, I blocked his number and I'm trying to get my N26 account deleted. Well today, he texted me from two different numbers and he asked me if I was trying to steal his money. Is N26 going to approve this transaction? He tried to send me money through Ingo money but my account was shut down due to suspicious activity on my account. How can I handle this situation? I realized the best way to escape my dad is to work and go to school. How can I end this situation with this guy? I'm no victim, I just wanted to protect myself at all costs. |
Question: How do I talk to my brother about masturbating? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 07:42 PM PDT So this is a follow up after I walked in on him the other day. I went kinda shy and just stood there wheras he didn't seem phased. He did stop and left the room after a minute or so. He's not since said anything to me, neither of us has apologised to the other or anything and I'm curious how he's so comfortable or why he doesn't seem to care that I saw him... I've been feeling really embarrassed... He's been staying at home with us for a couple of months due to corona and this is the first time its happened. I feel like I need to at least apologise or let him know it's normal and I know what it is and it's okay or something... But dunno if I'm over thinking it and should better just leave it alone.... Advice? Also, he's 21 and I'm 16 Sorry about the ph guys.... but thanks for pointing it out... Guess I'm more asking what if anything I should do. I don't think he's an amateur at all - Sorry if that's how the question read.... |
Question: How much time with family is too much vs normal? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 07:23 PM PDT I come from a large family. My father & sibling want to eat breakfast 4x a week together. I find this extremely boring and a little abnormal. I'm okay with holidays such as Christmas, Halloween and maybe a few extra times a year I'm not sure about breakfast 4x a week. Is that normal? |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 06:50 PM PDT *are you grossed out when a girl you are not attracted to flirts with you? |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 06:11 PM PDT Can be happy is without me. I am hurt. Everytime me and my mom gets in a small fight she goes and tells my other siblings that I'm a bad person, that I'm a bit*h etc. And then everyone starts to hate me even more. Its been like this since I was 16-17 years old. I am the black sheep or the family. Is what my mother and family doing okay and my mothers tendency to always go to my siblings or father and complain after fighting with me and only giving her version of the story, is this a narcisstic trait? Even my dad talks to me in a bad way and once he said he wished I was never born. Then my mom said that he shouldnt say that (she wasnt angry at the moment) and my dad said "dont you also tell me that you hate her, that you dont want her etc". So i think my mother maybe does this so she can get everyone on her side |
Question: Should I discourage my girlfriend from her dream of being a nurse? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 06:09 PM PDT She wants to be a Registered Nurse. One problem -- she's not very smart. She failed 1st grade and 5th grade. We'll be 12th graders this year. Her grades have always been Cs and Ds. |
Question: Is my mother a narcisst? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 05:59 PM PDT I'm 19 years old and a daughter. I live with my family and have 3 siblings. My mom always wants ME to move out from home because she doesnt like me. Every time we argue or get in a small fight she goes and talk with any of my siblings and tell them how awful I am, that I'm a *****, and so on. This makes my siblings start tl hate me and is this a trait of a Narcissistik mother? I feel so sad and hurt, its been like this since I was 16-17years old. I am the black sheep of the family |

Question: Am I a bad person for hating my family?? ? Posted: 11 Jun 2020 05:36 PM PDT My dad died last month and my mom didn't tell me until the other day just so I wouldn't go to the funeral. She just acts like nothing ever happened and seems so happy she talks to me all normal but inside her presence just pisses me off so much.. my step dads in my life and I'm sorry but he's not my real dad nor do I find him that much better.. I just really dislike my family at the moment I just wish they would go away.. I just feel so angry at the moment I been saying up so much money so I could move by the end of the summer.. overal does this make me a bad person?? There just so loud ghetto and irritating |
Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:50 PM PDT My sister committed suicide in 2012. My Dad has been more and more an alcoholic since and since about 2015 he is a severe alcoholic. He always was a social drinker and both my parents had alcoholics in their families. My Mom is an alcoholic, I think, but a social drinker and functions. She is not a knockdown drunk. My Dad on the other hand is drunk every single time I see him which in 2015 was 3 or 4 times a week. Now I avoid him and only see him 4 or 5 times a year. My mother makes excuses for him and denies he is an alcoholic. It is to the point of him walking out buck naked at Christmas last year and not even noticing there were 16 people in the house. My sister's suicide was Father's Day 2012 so I am afraid my Dad will die of alcohol poisoning every year at that time. An erie coincidence is my cousin died of alcohol poisoning Father's Day 1991. He had just graduated 8th grade and his older brother (my aunt's step-son at the time) through a party with friends when the parents were out of town and he was babysitting. My cousin got a hold of shots. Next day he was dead. So Father's Day is a very dark holiday in family history with my Dad's father dying on Father's Day weekend (the Saturday) of a brain aneurism. So what do I do? I feel he is doing what my sister did but in a much more painful and dragged out way. My sister was 20 and had Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia so was sick and couldn't help it. If ever feeling suicidal or if someone you know is call National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-8255 |

Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:24 PM PDT He never offers sympathy at all and it really hurts me. I am alone in this world. He wasn't like this when I was a kid but he changed and obviously I am older. 1 time he offered sympathy and it was so much easier for me to let go because he did that. That was over something that was not even that upsetting to me. |
