Question: Child wearing curseword shirt? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 02:29 PM PDT I saw a 12 year old girl wearing a shirt that said F#cking twitter Drama. Just like that. I wouldn't let my child wear something like that they can when they turn 18. I feel like someone like that doesn't expect their child to have a bright future. Thoughts? |
Question: Family at odds because of a mistake that I made. Need help please?!? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 02:25 PM PDT I'm 19 years old and home for the summer from college. About a month ago, I was involved in my first accident in which I was at fault. Damages weren't terrible but as expected, our insurance premium went up. I fully take responsibility for what happened, have learned from the mistake, and have offered my assistance and involvement in order to make right the best that I can.(paying the deductible, helping pay the insurance, reduced driving privileges, earlier curfew, etc.) I even mentioned dropping me and letting me pay my own insurance with a cheaper company. Unfortunately, my dad is still pissed and being difficult. He went off on my mom when she told him the new amount. My mom is usually mild mannered and doesn't like arguing back but this time she did as the disagreement was over whether I should be able to drive after the accident or not (dad said no, mom said yes). They have had their problems in the past and this is probably going to get them closer to divorcing. I find it unfair how my dad is treating my mom in this situation because she did nothing wrong. It's making me mad at him to the point where I'm about ready to fight but out of respect, I refuse to do so. But, after all I have offered, he still won't listen to or even acknowledge my efforts to make right and continues to complain as if there is no way out. I even picked up another job (total of 3) to help make extra money but nothing is working so far. Not looking for sympathy for the accident but Please Help! |

Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:59 AM PDT In my case, it was on her Whisper account. That is an app were people post anonymous thoughts. She had liked several of them regarding being a closet homosexual. Posts like "I have never in my life felt attracted to a member of the opposite sex" and "I've always wondered what sex with another woman is like". What would you think if you found out your husband/wife had "liked" anonymous posts like this? Would you feel like they were really gay? Would you be able to just write if off if they denied doing it, or told you it didn't mean anything? I am wondering if my whole marriage has been a sham, that she might not have ever felt truly attracted to me, that she just went along with all of this because of social expectation to be straight. She's never came across to me as gay. She's quite feminine and typical. Although, our sex life has always been sparse, and she doesn't have much drive. I have noticed that she's never had any male friends, all of her friends are always female. I don't know what to think? |
Question: My friend’s computer stopped working? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:44 AM PDT my friend josiah's family desktop computer is an hp desktop and it was running windows 10 and has an athlon processor and he said he tried to turn it on today and the fans and lights turned on but the monitor had no video, what to do? |
Question: Would I be wrong if I told my daughter’s father no? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 09:35 AM PDT My daughters dad has made plans of taking my daughter to NY on June 20th. The problem is he has not and called and told me this. His mom called me saying that's what he told her and that she needed to spend time with her before she goes. So he is basically telling my daughter that he's coming to get her and thinks he doesn't need to plan with me. Also I let her go last year and she missed the first day of school because he didn't try to buy her a ticket home ahead of time. I text him that she will not be going anywhere until he decides to call and inform me. Am I wrong? He sends money monthly he's a good dad but there is just a way of going about things. She's 9 btw No custody agreement |

Question: Who should tell my sister to stop doing this? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 07:31 AM PDT My sister was dumped my her husband of 10 years for a woman much younger than she was. The house sold and she had to move but her apartment would not be ready for 2 weeks so she is temporally staying with my husband and me. As expected she is depressed and has a very low self esteem. Trying to help her I asked my husband to tell her she is still beautiful and appealing to men. He did not want to do it but I insisted and that was what he told her. BIG MISTAKE. She thought he was flirting with her and she has been flirting with him ever since. He has been trying to avoid her but it is hard when she is living here. He wants me to tell her to back off. His is not interested in her in any way. I think he should tell her so I will remain good friends with her. Please give me your opinion. Who should tell her? My husband says the faster she leaves our house the better. |
Question: Are my parents controlling? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 07:19 AM PDT Ok so I'm 21 and I have my own house but my parents still tell me what I can and cannot do. For instance during lockdown I was told I had to come and live them and when I said that I would much rather stay in my own house they told me no and said I wasn't allowed. They also make me have my location tuned on on my phone at all times so they can check where I am and what I'm doing. If I ever try and talk to them about what they're doing they shout at me and ask me why I hate being part of the family so much (which I don't). They often shout at me for not coming to see them enough even though I spend at least 3 days a week there with them. They also said I need to break up with my boyfriend and when I asked why they don't like him they said they just "get a bad feeling". I told them I do not want to break up with him and they told me I should because they wouldn't want me to stay with him forever. Sorry that this is so long but my boyfriend and friends think that they are controlling me but I wanted an outside opinion and any advice for dealing with this as they just shout and scream when I try and have a rational conversation with them. Thanks for all the help :) They will also use guilt a lot of the time, when I was 5 I had some health complications (completely fine now) and they often talk about how they have almost lost me once they're gonna let me go again which makes me feel bad and so I feel as though I have to do exactly what they want. |
Question: My mom won’t let me quit soccer? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 06:43 AM PDT i've played soccer my whole life and the past few years i've hated it. Im a freshman in high school now and I'm only good at practice and at games I get anxious and do terrible. I have no real friends on my team and playing is overall really stressful for me. I'd prefer to do things on my own which is what i've been doing from March to now. I run 4-7 miles 4 times a week and do core everyday. I eat healthy and do well in school. I've told my mom and grandparents all these years i dont like it and everyone says i do and i truly dont. i tried talking to my mom about it right now and she went on a rampage saying im a terrible daughter, threw things at me, is taking my phone, and is not letting me see my friends. what do i do? |
Question: My mom won’t let me quit soccer? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 06:14 AM PDT I've played soccer since I was 4 and i'm now a freshman in high school. For the past 5 years or so i've told them I don't like it anymore and i find it more stressful than fun. I don't like the competitive nature of it and would rather exercise on my own. I run 20-25 miles a week and actually enjoy running on my own. I'm in shape and i do well in school. No matter how many times I tell her sports stress me out she doesn't listen. What do I do? |
Question: If an uncle and aunt split up, do you then loose family ties with one of them? ? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 05:42 AM PDT Well, the one who is your mother or fathers sibling will always be your uncle or aunt but how about their partner? If they split up will you then loose a family member, an uncle/aunt? Their children will always be your cousins as well... |
Question: Would you feel tenderness for a girl? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 04:33 AM PDT Who has no one, nothing, has a sad life and is mistreated by her host family who never loved her, has no friends, and who finally meets by chance a guy who protects her and falls for him, and to find him again she sneaks out from school and home in order to find him, because he has become the only beautiful thing in her life. She never talks about him and just daydreams all the time about meeting him again, to the point that she starts looking for him and finds him where he works. She cannot get inside so she makes excuses to talk to him. |
Question: Mom ignores me for boyfriend and never comes home. ? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 03:54 AM PDT My mom chooses men over me. Through the weekdays, when she comes home from work, she says "Hey" to me and then goes in her room and closes the door. She's on the phone with her man all day and night. She doesn't pay attention or talk to me AT ALL. If not, she's over his house with her phone off so I can't get in touch with her. I am 17 years old. Ever since I was a child, my mother wouldn't answer the phone and would leave me at the house with no food so she could enjoy time with her different men. She's always done this. I will be legal this year and she's still doing the same thing. My grandma is always here, taking up the slack. My mother rarely comes home. On weekends, she's over her boyfriends house all Friday and Saturday night/Sunday morning and she makes sure I have no way to get in touch with her. My grandma doesn't have a car so we have to find anything in the house there is to eat. Do I have to deal with this until I turn 18? |

My dad has fairly well money he worked his whole life and saved up a lot of money which he keeps in our house and doesnt put in bank because he got into so many troubles with a lot of bank owners and he is known in our regoin as a bussiness man (who has money) . Question: How is someone physically able to throw someone? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 01:59 AM PDT I know someone who when he was 11 his mom got so mad at him she threw him on the bed. he was standing still on the floor and she grabbed his arm and he lifted off his feet and landed on the bed. How could she do it? I've only ever seen people throwing people to the ground like pushing them down never in the air off their feet they go flying onto something. |
Question: Why does my mom eat a lot of pineapple? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 01:24 AM PDT She eats one every week while nobody else eats pineapple at all. |
Question: Is my mother right to do so? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 01:08 AM PDT My mom saw many couples kissing and making love in public and she also saw a couple of kids, watching porn and adult videos on their phone, while sitting on a bench in a park. She reported what she saw to the manager of our apartment and she asked the manager to do something to prevent these things from happening again. I think it's none of her business if kids watch inappropriate videos, but she can call the police, if people make love in public. |
Question: Son can't take calls in the house ? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 12:48 AM PDT He's 20 and he always goes out to answer his phone, be it a friend, co worker, or family member. He says it's because he doesn't want anyone in the house disturbing him and he's worried we'll listen in. So when he answers his phone, he has to go out on a walk or sits in the garden and answer the call. It's so weird honestly, as i take calls in the house. He says it's because the house is in my name so I can do what I want, but the house isnt in his name, so he can't. |
Question: What if I have an exam and my parent died? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 11:14 PM PDT I'm just asking out of curiosity like what if you have a very important examination but your parent died. You would have to travel very far to go to their funeral. Would you stay or go? |
Question: Parents! What would you do in this situation? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 10:15 PM PDT Warning to sensitive parents: This scenario goes into some dark stuff. I don't have kids of my own, so I can't imagine it'd be hard to picture this and stomach it, but I'm just a dumb bachelor. Okay, you were on a boat or whatever and it sank. You managed to get to the lifeboat with your four-year-old child. By tomorrow, it's just you and your kid in a rubber life boat in the middle of the ocean. You have some rations, but you can't live forever. (No, I'm not taking this to a place of cannibalism. So don't worry). Days pass. Then one day you're severely injured, let's just say a shark took a bite out of you and you're bleeding out. You are definitely going to die and there's no saving you. What do you do? Do you pass on instructions to the very young child? Do you hold out for as long as you can? Will you make a conscious effort to not die in the boat because you know a rotting corpse won't be good for the kid? Do you kill the child quickly to spare them from a slow, terrifying death alone at sea? So |
Posted: 16 Jun 2020 08:44 PM PDT 1. She doesn't know me. Unlike most other people I don't have siblings of my age that grew up with me. 2. She doesn't understand men and don't understand the man's world. She thinks I can juat go do low end office work. Well as a man, I can't.. Nobody would hire me for low office work. Im also not qualified for it. Office work for me, is being the big banker. That's office work for a man. And I'm not qualified. 3. She's negative, selfish and a hypocrite. Why should I put up with that ? |
Question: How can I deal with cutting my brother off for good.?? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 05:55 PM PDT We used to have a good relationship, but I think that it got terrible as I got older. He would feel embarrassed of me because he didn't like my personality and he said that I was the reason why he didn't want to invite friends over. My mother always took his side. I'm 27 years old now and a female and I have no intention on saving our relationship because I don't force things., but I think that what hurts the most is that my brother doesn't hesitate to insult me after arguments. Also, I can barely make friends to save my life and I think this is extending to family. I even noticed that my mother always blames me whenever the family argues, ignoring the fact that my other brother has a temper and puts his hands on me first sometimes without me provoking him. I noticed that my mother always allowed the men in my family to be dirty and have temper tantrums, but she demands I see a therapist for mine (to be fair, I do need one). I have no intention on rekindling anything in the future because I am fed up with people (family/friends) always cutting me off or being unkind to me and then they try to come back into my life. I don't care that they feel bad for their past actions, because what they are teaching me is that I'm just a leftover when they have no friends left. |
Question: What are you getting your Dad/Grandpa/Husband/etc for Fathers' Day? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 05:43 PM PDT My Dad is 56 and a total homebody. My grandpa is 81 and he does go out (other than corona🙄) to the gym and church but obviously at 81 he has everything he needs so I always have a hard time with what to get them?! |
Question: My wife does not like my family. What should I do? ? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 04:50 PM PDT I have a very close family. My mom and myself are very close. I'm very close with my sister as well. For 35 years my wife has complained, says my family does not like her. They have had their issues. My wife also complains that my family does not respect boundaries and that they are rude and intrusive. When we first got married my family would invite themselves over, just show up. It never bothered me. They're my family. My wife started being rude, telling them to call first or it's not a good time.. I'm planing a road trip to see my family and I'm using my son's truck. My mom invited one of her cousins to ride with me and another family member as well. When my wife found out she said, that's not your truck to be inviting all of these people to ride along. She says that I will be buying their food and paying for all the gas and she maybe right, but that's my family and my business. I told her to shut the F up and mind her own F ing business. She also let me know that the reason she doesn't talk to my mom anymore is because she whines, begs and complains about everything and takes advantage. I'm really sick of my wife being this way! |
Question: Is it weird if cousin calls me 'princess'? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 04:40 PM PDT Okay I have an older male cousin that usually calls me princess, thing is we are not that close tbh and it kindof grosses me out is it just me or it is actually creepy??? Also everyone in the family calls me Nena and one point he sang Nena by Miguel Bose "for me" on family karaoke years ago, needless to say it kindof bothered me considering the lyrics are not.... the most.... family friendly............ what should I do????? |
Question: Honestly is it normal I just feel self destructive after a bad breakup ? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 04:08 PM PDT So my fiancé of two years just left me, and at this point I just want to die. I have no family or friends for support whatsoever either and I don't know what to do. I feel like the world is ending and I just have nothing left in my life. I don't want to kill myself directly, but since I have no one or nothing to live for anymore, I plan to just be more reckless, which may result In my death, but who cares. I plan to drive 130 mph on the highway all the time, if I crash and die oh well no one cares about me. I plan to go sky diving weekly and do some dangerous skiing in the mountains frequently. I'm going to go camping in a tent full of food and hopefully a bear will maul me to death. I'm going to travel through the most dangerous countries in the world, maybe I'll get killed maybe I won't, it won't matter either way. I'm going to drink and smoke weed every day. I'm done with the world. I loved her so much that I would die for her, and I'd still die for her, which is why I want to be self destructive |
Question: Addressing my younger sister's weight gain? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 02:09 PM PDT First things first, she and I are very close and are not afraid to have uncomfortable discussions, voice concerns about one another. Her weight's always been a struggle. She, back in February, chose to go back home and quarantine with our parents. That I think, has obviously played a role. She's, more and more, leaving the house, like, she's visiting me more often now than in months past. Our parents are pretty healthy and active. Again, the weight is concerning me, it's concerning them I'm sure. I know the golden rule is " no weight talk with women", but, this is just got me worried. Should I say anything? It's taking a noticeable toll, and I know she sees it too. i'm 30, she's 25, she's about 5'6, looks 200+ |
