I am 37 male and only recently I have realized to try to get closer with some family cousins. Well I have a younger cousin who is 28 but he lives across the country now and we only have contact through social media and see each other once a year at the family holiday. Well when we were younger because of the age gap and interests we didn't spend much time together or know each other. Well now that we are adults and I reach out to him, he just answers questions but never shows a real desire to get to know me on a personable level. It's very surface and things feel forced. Why is this? We have each other on social media too.

hello there . it has been a minute since the last time I wrote on here, but anyways it has come 2 my mind that I need some kind of response. okay so I just stared working at this new job 2 months ago, everything was fine tbh I enjoyed it .. couple weeks passed by I would notice this female would stare at me when she would pass by , okay no problem no big deal I think nothing of it... it got to a point where she would pass by and just stare at me that I would have to break the gaze cuz it would get me nervous b cuz I have no idea who she is , I try not to focus on it ..but tbh it has caught my attention so severe that I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT HER !! I can't even sleep correctly .. I can't get her out of my head .. everything was just fine a week ago. I feel like if I'm in love with this girl now .. like unbelievable . I dont even know her.. it just can't be real ,, I get sad if she dont go to work  like I can't even focus right..... how can I have a crush on a girl that I dont even know thats mind blowing..I dont even know if its a crush .. & then I was talking to one of my co workers one day & she passed by & he just randomly tells me her name ... so I know her name now ... this is killing me inside ... any suggestions ???? 

So there this firend who has gotten in a car accident and is in pretty bad shape. But my friend tells her so called mom (who she just calls mom but really is almost the same age as us) about it and she tops it off with something about her and then starts talking about herself in a really important matter that has nothing to do about her and her so called bad past.  You know? Have you ever had a person around you like this. Then when you dont wanna hear about there problems they make you out to be a bad person. But then saves the day and trys to protect you against other ppl. 

Is it wrong to basically ghost friends by closing down my social media without a word if these friends haven't interacted with me on there for between a year to a couple of years for some of them, even if we have history and been 'friends' for years? I closed my social media down 4 months ago as basically people didn't bother keeping in touch with me even  on there, but I feel a little bad about it, should I have said goodbye to them? They don't have other ways of reaching me as i changed my cell phone number too

My daughter doesn't have any friend her own age. She claims people her age are mean to her. She doesn't seem to have any friends at all. She goes outside for a walk and then I see she is hanging out with a 9 year old and 13 year old. What do I do? What's this mean? Psychologically, is she okay?

Ok its that in that family reunion his cousin has a friend that it was my bf ex...I dont know if she was invited. But everytime, her cousin looks at me weird...I can sense there's something fishy and one day the cousin mentioned him that he left that friend in a bad way that he should apologize to her friend. So its fishy he didnt invite me. I mean I wasnt going to go anyway bc I had to go roller skate w my daughter n friends but at least invite me. Im your gf for almost 3 years on and off but still. I dont want to confront him about this bc then he will say Im drama. But at the same time I dont wanna keep it quiet bc it bothers me. What would you do ?

My friend came to me and told me about their creative art designs and how they wanted to make money off of it. They don't know much about finance so they asked me to help and set up a small brand. So we decided on designs and products as well as names etc. It was all okay. Then came a time when money was involved. We had decided whatever profit we got, it would 60 (my friend) : 40 (me). That was fine too.  Since its just us two, the brands company details eg address and bank details has to be chosen between the two of us. My friend is now unsure as to whose details should be used and now my friend wants their bank details on the accounts. Should I continue with this?? I am now getting mixed feelings about my friend 

I'm a 22 year old guy and back in the fall of 2018, I was friends with a girl at my work. I would pick her up from her house in my truck, and we would go to the mall, get ice cream, go to the beach, etc. when she left my work about a year ago she got involved in a different crowd and forgot about me. And became short with me and never would text me anymore. I've texted her just recently after a half a year or so and she was responsive, but short. I'm thinking about just paying her a surprise visit to say hi in her driveway or whatever. Just to catch up for a few minutes. Is this a good idea or am I gonna end up on Fox News??

So basically my friend unfollowed me on Instagram because I don't post about the black lives matter as much as she does and she says if I stay silent or don't speak about it I don't care about her or the black community I've known her for 10 years I'm just like everyone has their opinion and has the right to post whatever they want if they want . And I'm more of the id rather donate to an organization. But she just made me feel like I'm a bad person like did I do wrong 

I have been working in a research lab for a year now and I want to leave. I've been planning on leaving for awhile and was just waiting for it to be 1 year since I started. I have a meeting coming up with my PI and I want to tell him. But I don't know what reasoning I can give him as to my leaving. Reason I'm leaving is because I don't like him. He isn't a good mentor or PI for me and is just very negative. Every time I would come into lab, I didn't feel happy there and I felt it was a chore. I like doing the experiments and the people in the lab are nice but it's just him I don't like. I just feel that he's not a good enough mentor in which I feel like I haven't learned much compared to other people I have talked to. So what can I tell him why I am leaving in a way that doesn't make it awkward or for him to be angry at me cause he teaches at the same school I go to. I am not planning on joining another lab soon cause they aren't having more people in the labs due to the pandemic. Should I make an excuse as to the pandemic being the cause of my leaving somehow or is that wrong? 

Let's say 2 high school classmates are from 2 different upbringings: 1.  Lived w/his mom (middle school teacher) in 2-bedroom apartment.  After graduating high school, he moved to top floor of stationary store conveniently located in the same town as college he's attending.  After graduation, he moved into his own condo. 2.  Lived with his mom (legal admin./HR) in 3-bedroom house.  After graduating high school, he attended college, but dropped out.  Then, he moved from his mom's to his own 1-bedroom apartment located in the same luxurious complex as where #1's mom lives aka his previous residence. Technically, #2 was not born into rich family.  But he is the only child AND grandchild. Out of modesty, he never told #1 that he didn't get the apartment on his own.  But #1 still seems to resent him. While he never actually expresses resentment, there are a few red flags, such as asking #2 what exactly does he do at his job.  As if a monkey or grade school dropout could probably do his job.  Thus, #2 not deserving of owning a great place, nor anything else that he easily got throughout his life.  Is #1 a terrible friend? FYI, #2's college major was media technology.  While the 2 were@the movies w/other friend from high school, the theater screen displayed fun questions to entertain the audience until movie starts.  One of the questions was filming-related.  #1 asked #2, "Why are you sitting there silently?  This is a question related to your major, so shouldn't you know this?"

my best friend is getting Very annoying every time we go outside she cares about attention. it never seems like she comes out to enjoy my company Every time we go outside she says things like omg that guy was totally checking me out and omg I'm going to get a lot of attention today it's never us going out to have a good time. If she doesn't get any attention she starts getting mad and saying things like She must be ugly Because she never gets the attention. Some times if I'm getting all the attention and compliments she gets mad and starts looking angry at me. And she starts saying I must be ugly because nobody talks to me. Another time we went out and she got attention but it wasn't from really good looking guys she starts complaining again saying she must be ugly all the ugly boys talking to her. Then she starts saying why ugly boys not talking to Me they only talking to her. It's getting annoying because that's what all she cares about I just want to go out and have a good time. Also she says things like I get all the cute guys She barely get the good looking guys. Now i wear color hair and my friend hated color hair colored hair now she's wearing color hair I wear lip liner and get my eyebrows done a lot she never did now all of a sudden she wants to do the same. one time she She tried to copy my style i got anger she never compliments my style but wants what I get it's like she tries to be me. Also she is starting to copy off my laugh what should I do please help ?

So my best friend just found out she was pregnant and she told me she wasn't sure who the father was. I then made a slightly off-color joke. So a while back she was dating a black guy and all I said was if the baby comes out black then you'll know who's it is. She got very mad at me and called me racist and all kinds of things to which I replied "What? You didn't know I was racist?" This only made things worse but thats typically how I respond to people who call me racist because I'm not racist. Anyway she told me she never wanted to talk to me again. I just don't see how a 5 year friendship could end over one comment. I apologized and everything but I don't know what to do now.

My boyfriend asks to borrow my car for work because his friend was using his so I let him. Every space in his lot is filled so he parks it at the gas station across the street for his entire shift. He goes back to the same gas station, retrieves my car, and is about to drive home, but the manager explains to him parking there is illegal and he was getting ready to have the vehicle towed and to be careful from now on. My boyfriend apologized, thanked him for 'letting him know,' and promised not to do it again. How could my boyfriend lack the common sense about not parking on private property? He comes home, tells the story, and I get pissed. He agreed to pay if my vehicle had been towed, but I'm angry he was this reckless with MY car.

Uhm so my boyfriend i kind of have trust issues cause of past things. So i gave him a second chance. So he isn't friends anymore with this friend of him but today he went hanging out with the freaking mom of his ex friend ? It's almost 10pm and they're watching a movie at the moms house. The mom is divorced  What in the actual must i think of this ? For me I'm exploding since the beginning he said that he's going to eat with her and hang. What in the actuallllllllll???
