I'm really bad at talking to people. No one ever knows what I mean, and no one understands me. It's easy for me to get mad when I'm trying to talk to people, and they think I'm getting mad at them, but I'm just getting mad at myself for not being able to explain things better, but in the moment I can't even tell them that. I get so mad if I talk at all I'm basically yelling at them.

If a person is someone's best friend would they would be ok if their friend never saw them again? Sorry I don't really know how to word this question 

Ok so I'm 29 and my sister is 31. She's married and has a baby boy. I'm her brother.  When she has down time, she hangs out with a male friend whom she's known for years, since high school.While her male friend is a nice guy and so is her husband, I want to reconnect with my sister.Her and I sometimes text. We both love each other even though she's shy about showing affection.Onetime on Facebook, she seemed stressed out about being a mother for the first time. So I texted her and said, you can always talk to me when you feel stressed out and I'll do my best to relate. She texted a smile back to me and thanked me. I don't know how to approach her. I feel like if she wanted to be friends and reconnect with me, she would have let me know by now. We did a lot together as kids. We played video games together, watched movies, rode bikes and etc. I know my sister loves me but she's full of anxious energy and I feel like I will bother her or put her in an uncomfortable position if I ask her to hang out. I know there are plenty of other people in the world to connect with. But I feel like my sister is one of the only people I can fully trust. 

I live in nyc. Surprisingly this city is overpopulated with people, but its also the loneliest city in the world. I have tried bringing an acquaintance to a bar hoping to meet some new people but we only end up talking to each other. Strangers do not even try to talk to each other at all. I don t have any friends currently. Maybe a few acquaintances but not very close ones. Any ideas on how to make new friends? I take a gym class with a bunch of ladies but its just casual chit chat. We don t talk anymore as soon as we walk out of that gym door. I am even kinda afraid of attending the huge social events hosted around the city because everyone is always talking to their own groups of friends while im the only one standing there alone in the loud room.

Everyone I've met lately are just really awkward people who aren't passionate about anything. I guess they're normal people, but nothing makes me want to hang out with them

Like he used to send streaks and message me every day and now we lost our streaks and idk? like all boys care about is sex :/ like the sheer mention of me doing stuff with someone else makes him ditch me

People are always asking me for favors, can I lend them money, can I watch their kids, can I drive them around. No, I am too busy. To make this worse the people who ask me are not even close friends, just acquaintances! i never ask them to do things for me, so what gives?

She is always asking me why am i so socially awkward I can't stand it. all because i don't talk to her.

I really need help so please don't judge. So I sometimes tend to show other people texts someone has sent me. I know I shouldn't but if I'm asking for advice or something I tend to do. It's a habit I wanna break, any tips?

My friend recently worked at a new job then quit because she like this guy she worked with but now after a day of dating him she accuses him of assault meanwhile that dude has been working there for a quit some time and only happened to do something when she is there. My friend also things people at her school are messed up and they are graduating before her and she is still at the community college for her associates degree for a few more years and she is 24 year old. She always have to have some sort of drama every week. I have been canceling on her all the time now and rarely see her. How come she is acting Like this? I still want to be friends with her but I rarely see her now. Why is she acting like this all of a sudden? 

I was on a work do with colleagues they were playing darts and I insulted one of them a bit (he didn't do that well) and he looked a bit offended and said 'do you want a strap'. I took it to mean do you want me to punch/hit you it seemed fairly obvious but my other colleague said he was referring to drugs : / Ive never known a drug called strap I think my friend is a bit weird. I don't want to be naive though so just wanted confirmation there is no drug called strap is there? Sorry, I'm well aware this is the weirdest post

i'm a 9th grader and EVERYONE around me says they want to die, including all my friends. i always hear people "joke" about it all the time, when really it was never funny to me when a friend i love says "haha i can't wait till i die" especially since so many people in my life that i've lived have passed away before. i just don't understand why all of a sudden no other kids my age seem to wanna live anymore. why is this?

Hi everyone so I have this friend who always gets really upset when I don't answer texts. I recently got a new phone and all of his texts have been going to my old phone which I don't use. He sent me 31 texts one after another when I was trying to explain to him why I didn't see his texts. He was calling me a pussy *****, and saying how mean I was. I was also working all weekend so I couldn't hang out. I am at the end of my rope with him. He always plays games.

Since my friend and I has reunited because things wasn't going well. My neighbor at my apartment who I was being friends with decided to start drama and sent my friend who I reunited with an Facebook friend request this morning so she can tell that friend how horrible person i was which she did, but my friend told her i was nice person. my neighbor is white and her boyfriend is black. Ever since they moved into the bottom apartment,they have called us racist. My friend who reunited with isnt going to put up with her drama stories. she has posted rude comments on me on her Facebook status and now texting me how my family doesn't like me. I don't know if the landlord can do anything about it but i wish they would move to another apartment away from me

This guy is tough, a bit mad but good hearted,manly but with a soft heart. He falls at first sight for a girl who has been captive of a psychopath rich criminal man who has been abusing her in his house (her dad sold her as a teenager) without any chance of letting her go. One day the girl manages to escape while hiding in the back of the car of this guy whose brother had business relationship with the man (no one knows he is a bad man a criminal). She has a broken hand due to his mistreatment. He decides to help her, takes care of her while she is traumatized and lets her flee to russia through georgia but on the ship the man had paid a spy to find her. She is again in his hands. He beats her up in the woods for running the girl screams and cries while the phone is open on the ground in the grass he doesnt notice. The guy comes snd rescues her and kills the man. The girl is still traumatized has nightmares and the guy is just extremely protective and caring and just wants to take care of many months they get married. He has never asked for sex. He judt waited til she was ready. Even once she wanted to do it but he refised because she thought she was still traumatized.

Today is my birthday , and everyone forgot. I don't have any friends to celebrate it with and no one attempted to ask if I wanted to do anything to celebrate. I'm that friend that makes sure I remember your birthday and wish you a happy birthday but every year I seem to be forgotten , even my parents forgot. I'm starting to feel depressed and unimportant as if I don't mean anything to anyone. What can I do to feel better ?

They posted how they were sick and had a lot of pressure in their head, the way they wrote it made the Green Day song 'Give Me Novacaine' so as kinda a referential thing I commented with some lyrics. You know thinking they'd smile or whatever. I instantly had second thoughts and figured I should delete it but when I went to it had already been removed by them. I don't know if I should apologies or just ignore it. I didn't mean to upset them...this is the reason I dislike online interaction honestly.

I was beside my BF when he had to call his longtime friend to ask something. The convo later turned into my BF tell his friend about me saying "My girl...." and about my age, etc. Does this mean we are really official? We did have the "exclusive" talk a few weeks ago. Does this confirm he doesn't have other girlfriends?

So my girlfriend was making fun of me to her friend saying I don't make enough money and all this. But here's the thing I am 20 years old I graduated high school In 2017 and I am currently enrolled in college and I have classes 3 days a week and I am in a total of 5 classes. I am also working at sherwin Williams a paint store. When I first started working there it was challenging I didn't know anything about paint , everyone else had been working there for a long time and I was the youngest person there by a good 8/9 years. I started making 12 dollars an hour in February but now I am a very trusted employee and they said within a couple years I could move up and be on salary and run a store which to me is exciting especially because it would be around the time I graduate school I'm around 2022. They said the average salary for someone running a store is around 60 k a year which is more money then I could make right out of the gates anywhere else after school. Apparently my girlfriend thinks it's lame that I want to stay there after college and she told her friend she expects me to make more money. I mean she makes good money now. She trains horses and apparently she makes like 18 an hour but she has no intentions of going to school which is fine obviously. My only thing is if I'm such a loser and can't make a million dollars when I'm like 23 the. Why stay with me?

I have a bad relationship with making friends and keeping friends. I have had a ton of friends over the years. But I loose them all. I lost my first group of friends 7th grade year. It was just a bad relationship and I moved on. 8th grade I lost my friends to drama my fault mostly. Now I'm coming to loosing my friend again. More drama but i don't think it's my fault anymore. I asked someones advice and they said it wasn't. I don't know what to do. should I leave this friend? It's a pretty toxic relationship.

It's like they don't want to hear what the person who has wronged them has to say, especially when they unintentionally did something that has upset them. Often times when someone would apologize to me for doing something that has upset me I would feel a lot better about the situation because it made me realize it wasn't their intention to hurt me, I also believe that we all make mistakes in life.

My best friend and I have been friends since middle school and I have always been attracted to him. We ve been friends for 8 years and I still feel the same way. I just want the feeling to go away but after 8 years I don t think it will. I am also afraid to tell my friend because he s had girlfriends in the past so he s most likely straight.

I used to really like this guy. he used to always come over and chat to me and my family. He decided to move away and his brother told us he was doing this, he didn't even tell us about it. Anyway we were friends till he moved and I gradually distanced myself from him. I still really liked him though. He came back on holidays and I tried my best to distance myself but hed always come over to say hi. then his brother said he met someone and I was so disappointed. im not sure what happened but he ended up coming home for a long time on his own. A family problem. He was really trying to suck to up to my family and act like he cared but in all the time he was away he never once sent an email or added us on FB or anything. I totally ignored him then since I felt like he wanted to use us for the attention hed get while home and then move away again without saying anything. he never even mentioned the girl he was going out with to us. Do you think he knows this

It all started when he kissed me on the lips while we were alone (it was my first kiss), after we talked a lot (I asked me why about many things he omits or lies about, and he opened up and said the truth about his life and his fear to trust people except for himself). He never spoke about many things, and he basically that was the first time he told me of when his mom died, how we took care of his little 6 years old sister and his depressed dad who has a heart disease and can't neither work or take care of his daughter. He has to work and wanted to become a sailor but he cant cause he has responsibilies. I felt bad for misjudging him and cried. He hugged me and said it's alright, I told him I loved him and he kissed me. Simple kisses on the lips and face. When he put his hand on my chest I panicked and got scared, almost froze. I got upset and went away. He looked for me and apologized, saying he loved me, but I just didnt want to hear him and pushed him when he tried to hug me. I screamwd insults at him while going away. He didnt look for me anymore and had this sad face the whole time. He had a car accident and seeing him like that made me cry and I apologized and he said 'you couldn't hurt me even if you wanted to. I know you have a good heart'. Like there wasnt need to apologize. It made me cry and he hugged me although he was tired and his arms were tired. I still feel at fault for pushing and insulting him. I love him. I cant believe I did those things. Just because He kissed me. I love him I am supposed to care about him, not pushing him away and insulting him
