My little cousin is doing everything I'm doing. She's taking choir and being in the drama club like I was, yet they treat me like I'm the Savage. I've been doing these things way longer, and I'm good at what I do yet they treat me like she's better than me and I know nothing about it. She's starting to do things I didn't get to do at that age and I'm way more talented than her, and her parents don't even know anything about theater. Is she more like my dream than I am? I'm sick of her progressing past me when I'm older and I'm better and I was doing it first yet they treat me as if I know nothing about the subject. 

Hi everyone so my son is 20 and he works part time and goes to college full time. He is studying to be a chemical engineer and he works full time on weekends and some hours during weekdays. He pays half of his car payment and phone bill but he treats me and his father like crap.  Whenever his father calls him or texts him he never wants to talk to him or his wife (his dad is remarried btw). He always fights with his dad and he gets annoyed over everything I do. I didn't raise him to be mean or disrespectful. I don't know what happened to him. What should I do?

My mother has an alcoholic family and I am wondering what are the behaviors of an alcoholic family. Curious what ones hers may have. I do notice siblings divided when her Dad was an active alcoholic when I was little but it was a big family.

My little sister (I'll call her H) has had these little shits bullying her however they are friends with her twin sister (I'll name her A). Recently they have come to our house to 'ask' for their friend (sister A) and when told no they continue banging on the door and standing waiting in the garden and hollering at H to try and provoke her. They came back with their mother yesterday who is fully on her brat childrens side despite the fact her kids are coming disrupting our house and banging on our doors and prowling the gardens waiting for sister H. My mother was too respectful talking to her tbh and they were on their way soon after the mothers talked. However today the pieces of shits are back and again banging on the doors asking for sister A. My mother told them no she isnt coming out and they then proceeded to stand in our garden looking in our windows waiting to see if sister H will somehow appear. What tf can I do to threaten these assfucks that is perfectly legal as I'm over 18 and I'm not going to be done in because of some trash 13 y olds. My nephew (16) is has a cold/flu and has a pretty high fever between 99.0 and 103.4 all morning. He took tylenol about an hour ago but his temp has barely dropped its (103.1 now). He insists that he's freezing cold even though he's burning up, drenched in sweat and curled up on my couch.  He and parents all suggest I let him sweat it out but I'm really worried that he's not cooling down and on top of that is wearing a hoodie and wrapping  himself in blankets. He's living with me this semester so I feel responsible but also respect his parents decisions. In this case, is it better to let him do whatever he feels like his body wants him to or is it time for a dr. visit?

I feel a little insulted because my mom thinks that anyone who uses $20 shampoo, wears even mascara to Walmart, tries to smell good, and keeps their house clean is too prim and proper? How is it wrong for me to go from nasty to neat?

My brother's wife has large boobs. She likes to show a LOT of cleavage. Strangely, my brother is OK with that. At our parent's home, she will bend over in front of me and say "Don't look at my boobs". How could I not look at them when they are 6 inches away from my face? I just say "OK". Ok so I'm 29 and my sister is 31. She's married and has a baby boy. When she has down time, she hangs out with a male friend whom she's known for years, since high school. While her male friend is a nice guy and so is her husband, I want to reconnect with my sister. Her and I sometimes text. We both love each other even though she's shy about showing affection. Onetime on Facebook, she seemed stressed out about being a mother for the first time. So I texted her and said, you can always talk to me when you feel stressed out and I'll do my best to relate. She texted a smile back to me and thanked me.  I don't know how to approach her. I feel like if she wanted to be friends and reconnect with me, she would have let me know by now. I am 14. I am learning my faith in God but I also understand that I am young and my mistakes should be excused based on a certain perspective. Nevertheless, I take full responsibility in my actions. With that being said, I was being called "Retarded" by my Youth Minister. He also said he doesn't agree with my Grandmas parenting skills when I would sneak & play XBOX in the middle of the night. I was also at Church camp over the summer and when I was taking a shower, an older adult opened the curtain, turned the water off, and proceeded to put foot powder on me which left a stinging sensation. Hi, I am 13 and I will be 14 in February. If it helps, when I was 4 years old I was sexually abused by my half brother, on my mothers side. So I have lived with my dad and visited my mother since I was 3 then i stopped seeing/ talking to my mother when I was in the first grade. i am in the 8th grade and my breasts are a little big for my age. So this is not just me but, my dad has a habit of smacking his kids butts (including mine) and I feel uncomfortable. I live with my dad and step mom, and my step mom knows he smacks my butt for fun but it isn t in a sexual way. However, my mom uses the metaphor "you got balls girl" and at the table my dad touched my thigh and said, "you got balls down there?" as a joke, and I got so angry I slapped his hand and told him not to touch. My dad is much older then the other dads he is 44 but looks about 45. This is not the first time he has touched me weirdly, I still remember in the 4th grade I used to sleep with my dad sometimes and he would have me massage his shoulders, next think I know I woke up with him asleep and his genitals in my hand. I was still close to my dad then however, both my dad and my stepmother are verbally abusive and always accuse me of giving them an attitude, I once told them that I did not want to eat at a certain time then we got in a fight, I crawled up into a ball while me dad kicked me a few times (I wasn t hurt). Then my stepmom picked my back up when she saw my bloody finger, tried to help me, then proceeded to yell at me.  I also although I am a Christian have had murderous thoughts and felt like hurting myself, I wish I had other kids lives!   Every time  we get in an argument they always use the excuse that they put me in an expensive private school THAT I DIDN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT EVER OR EVEN ASKED TO BE SENT THERE My dad is 64 I meant to type. 

My 5 year old brother has an official diagnosis of autism. My mom keeps hoping that he's just a late bloomer who will catch up to his peers. She keeps saying she doesn't get how this could've happened to one of her children. That autism doesn't run in neither her or my dad's sides of families. I've seen my mother spend hours researching how autism might've developed — and if the mother has anything to do with the baby having it during pregnancy. We started seeing signs of autism when he was around 3 or 4, but my mom kept insisting that he's just a little odd, a late bloomer and that it's a phase he'll grow out of. She told us we were giving him a label he likely doesn't even have. Well, he's in kindergarten now and the school recommended getting him checked out for something (they're not allowed to diagnose kids themselves, but they'll advise parents to get their kids checked out). My mom followed through the advice and sure enough, my brother DOES have autism. Now she's in disbelief, sadness and upset. Wondering what caused it and just hoping they misdiagnosed him

I'm 15. Me and my father have a very unstable relationship. My parents are split and I live with my mother. My dad was abusive to both me and my step sister (19, was 11 when abuse started. I also consider her my sister since she's been with me from birth.) He's hit us and said very sexual comments to use which we both agreed wasnt good for us. My sister hates his guts. Aside from being hurt by the lack of planning, I now come to find out that he was supposed to propose to me on my birthday. He asked my mom and my daughter, so they are expecting me to call with news. I'm so embarrassed because, I know my mom and daughter will ask. I'm a guy and I'm 20 and my sister is 15 and in her second year of high school. She likes to be around me and often asks for hugs. She sometimes says can I talk to you somethings upsetting me. Why is she like this?

So I don't really know why my dad is in jail. He treated me like a king and with love and affection and I never would have guessed he is a criminal. I am the youngest of 5 sisters (some half sisters because he had multiple wives throughout his life). Anyways most of the "bad stuff" which I am being kept in the dark about happened before I was old enough to remember it. Nobody will tell me what my dad did, how long he is in jail for, etc. The only thing I know is that he is somewhere in the city I just moved to because I overhead a call with my mom and auntie and they talked about him being here. Also makes sense why my parents were so reluctant to let me to go this city. Anyways I am 18 now and I want to see him but don't know if I should because my family absolutely hates him and they even talk about getting restraining orders and stuff like that. I have no bad memories of him but I am doing really well in my life without him, I am not sure if going to see him will disrupt my life but I feel like since he is my dad and did nothing wrong to me I should at least visit him. I don't even know if he speaks good English. From what I remember it was really broken English so if I visit him I may not even be able to say a lot Maybe I am overthinking it and just should not see him?

My husband and I don't stop fighting and he always blames me calls me a liar when I don't lie to him all the time the only reason I lie to him is about little thing like smoking weed when he's not home and stuff like that he just reacts really bad and always blames me for everything. My mom is ALWAYS doing chores (my parents live in another state)... she is supposed to be studying for a work re-certification test and we call each other every other day and complains to me about how she never has time to study. But I always see her doing little petty chores. For example, on Friday evening my dad mowed their yard, then on Saturday morning she mowed the entire yard AGAIN and spent like 6 hours doing that then she calls me and complains about how she has to wake up early to go chores and is always tired. She just redoes everyone's chores even when I lived there she did that too. Then this morning she called me again telling me she has no time to study but my dad is texting me telling me she is doing loads of laundry for socks, underwear, towels, when they already have enough to last them until a week or even 2 weeks. She will just start cleaning the entire house when it's not even dirty and like bleach the bathrooms when it's already spotless... dust the ceiling fans... I just got off the phone with her and she was watching Netflix! I asked her why she wasn't studying and she defensive saying "well, you don't think I can relax around here?" it's like she will do ANYTHING except study and she will do anything to give her a reason to complain to people about how many chores she does. Don't get the wrong message I love her but the only thing she ever says to me is how much work she does in a day and just will find every reason to make her life harder! Ok so my grandparents used to live with me and my mom and my sister and they went back to where they came from which is a country and I can't focus when I study because I feel like my grandparents didn't want to go back to where they came from because they didn't act excited whenever my mom said that they were going back to the country where they came from and I feel like they shouldn't have gone beck to the country where they came from because the reason why my grandparents came to the United States is because my grandpa is sick and he has something in his body that monitors him and when he was in the country where he went back to he wasn't treated correctly with the thing that monitors his body and I feel like he could die anytime and I didn't make my grandparents feel at home when they were in the U.S and I can't focus when I study now because I feel distracted. My sister and I have a compressed memory of kissing her because she wanted attention. It wasn't my fault because I thought she was my step-sister and she lied to me about the whole step-sister thing. We found a place for us where we split rent evenly and because of that I think that is why she acts the way she does. Anyways, this is how it started. We lived at the new place for about 3 months at the time and i couldn't even stand the issues I'm about to explain.1.She did not clean the house besides her room2. She would leave dishes for weeks! & when she did, she didn't put her dishes away3. She would stuff the fridge with all her junk to the point where I could not have my own stuff4. She would not help take out the trash & would continuously stuff it with take out boxes5. She would blast the ac even during winter which cause the bill to be over $3006. I would be home sitting in the living room which is right next to her room. She would come home with her "boyfriend" and head straight to her room and they would start their "business." And believe me when I say they are NOT quiet about it.I had to delete some reasons why because I didn't have enough room to write.It is now a year later and these issues have continued. Our lease has ended and I've told her that I do not wish to continue living with her. I understand I have my problems too but I'm not messy to that extent and I actually clean the whole house. She states that she cannot afford to live on her own so now she moved out of town. I really believe it's cause we don't live the same lifestyle and I don't want to lose my peace just for someone to live in comfort.
