I am 19 and my girlfriend is 16, we ve been dating for two years and want to get engaged and married when she turns 18. I m not here for a lecture, so don t talk about age or anything. I just know that my mom has my grandmother s engagement ring set aside for me, but I m too nervous to ask her for it now so I ve been looking into engagement rings. Should I just buy one in the $300 range or just grow a pair and ask my mom? Thanks.

i added this guy on facebook cause i thought he was cute and he accepted my request and he messages me few mintues later and asked "Do you know me??" and i said "no" then he asked" why did you add me then?" and i told him "idk" and he says "oh wow so youre just adding random people you dont know?? dont talk to strangers, have a good day!" Then he deleted me right after the conversation. So I got my friend to add him to see if he would do the same thing to her but he messaged her "Hey beautiful." He doesnt know her and she doesnt know him. So im confused to know why he didnt ask the same thing he asked me.

He doesn't want a wedding party. He says it's a waste of money. People tried talking to him about this, but he's being too stubborn.

Ok so I always see these questions about the price of the wedding ring etc. now I don't expect a 10,000$ ring, but I would like a ring that's 1-3 k ... if he has the money , then why is it so wrong to want a nice ring like that ? I'm being called an immature materialistic brat because I don't want a 150$ ring from Walmart lol. Is it too much too ask for a 1500$ ring ? ( estimate )
