Posted: 08 Dec 2017 10:04 AM PST My boyfriend's brother is getting married. He was asked to be the best man and I was asked to be bridesmaid. Bride does not want children at the event except her own and two of the bridesmaids young girls.... AND the flower girls. So my boyfriend has two girls and I have a girl and a boy. Bride and groom came over one day with gift bags and asked boyfriends two girls to be in the wedding IN FRONT of my daughter. They were excited and of course asked if my kids were coming too. My daughter looked at me while everyone was silent and I had to tell her no. She was hurt. Now in our his girls still don't understand why she can't come and are upset but don't talk about it in front of my daughter. They have caused a division of our family. I also believe my son would not be welcome as he is special needs and can be distracting. I want to opt out at this point considering how much money I am expected to pay and they can't respect that we are a family of six.... we stick together. My boyfriend doesn't support the wedding but is going along for his brother. I have not seriously brought this up to him yet but it's beginning to eat st me. |
