Question: Ideas for an inexpensive winter wedding venue? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 04:37 PM PDT I've always wanted an outdoor wedding, but my fiance and I decided to move our wedding to either this december or january, the date isnt too set yet. He's getting deployed soon so we wanted to be married before he leaves. Now that our wedding date is moved up so quickly, and a low budget, my ideas have ran slim. I live in Oregon, and it is far too cold for us to have an outdoor wedding, neither of us our religious so we dont want it in a church... any ideas? Much appreciated.
Question: Should fiance's friends/frat brothers be invited to the wedding? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 02:28 PM PDT He has two groups of friends. His boys from back home, and his frat brothers he met here at college. I love his friends back home. His frat brothers are a nightmare. They have constantly encouraged him to cheat on me, have disrespected me, etc. As much as he disagrees with their immaturity, they are his friends. I personally don't like the idea of paying for all these jerks who have never respected me to be at my wedding, however it would be extremely obvious that they aren't invited since he spent so much time with them the past 3 years. How to handle this gracefully, but also without ruining a day that is supposed to be about me and him, our love. ??
Posted: 08 Oct 2017 02:05 PM PDT I am 17 and my boyfriend will be 17 in a few months. We cannot legally get married obviously because we aren't 19 yet. However, a symbolic marriage is not legally binding, it's essentially a commitment ceremony. My boyfriend expressed that he wanted to go to the courthouse and get married, but again, neither of us are 19 and our parents won't approve. I have the idea that one of our friends reads the whole thing and we exchange vows and rings. Can we do a symbolic marriage or do we also have to wait until we are at least 19? And I don't want criticism, this is my choice. I want answers. Thanks.

Question: Should I tell my fiancé that I want to push back the wedding ? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 01:37 AM PDT I got engaged about a month ago and we recently started wedding planning. My fiancé set a $10,000 budget for the wedding because he is the only one with a career because I am working on my masters. We had our first two venue tours today and I fell in love with this venue that would pretty much take the whole budget. Then we saw a venue that was well within our budget but it was outdated and looked tacky and I couldn't picture myself being married there and it made me realize that maybe all the venues within this small budget would look this way. We wanted to get married November of 2018 because I love fall and the weather is optimal because summer and spring here are too hot. I would like to push the wedding until November of 2019 because I would hopefully be graduated and have a job by December 2018 , which would allow for two incomes to contribute to the wedding. I just don't want my fiancé to feel as though what he is doing is not enough though and I don't want him to think that I am ungrateful, but I always envisioned a beautiful wedding and I don't want to be disappointed with the wedding. What do you think I should do ? I love my fiancé and it pains me to push it back because I want to start my life with him alread (and I don't believe in living with someone before marriage) but I do want a nice wedding and if we do get married next year , we may not be able to go on a honeymoon either. Am I being selfish in this request ? Am I wrong for feeling this way?
