Question: Do you think he’s serious about proposing in the future? Posted: 15 Oct 2017 06:46 PM PDT So we have been dating for one year and four months. I am in my mid 20's and he in his mid 30's. The other day we were in a waiting room at my doctors office together looking at magazines. He stared at an ad for bridal jewelry, then asked me if I liked any of the rings that were shown in the ad. I said they were very pretty, but I would prefer something more vintage, with a colored stone. I pulled out my phone and showed him a picture of a vintage garnet ring. Later that day we were at the mall and he stopped to look at the garnet engagement rings he saw, then quickly walked away when he noticed I saw him. What do you think? Thanks |
Question: Have you ever been to a weekend wedding? Posted: 15 Oct 2017 05:51 PM PDT My fiance and I are asking because a venue we are interested in offers a weekend package. We would have Thursday to set up everything, Friday for the Wedding, and Saturday to clean up and go home. It is on a ranch and the reception is in a nice barn. The guests would come Friday and stay the night if they want to. They allow everyone to pitch a tent or bring an RV or trailer. That way everyone can drink and party as much as they want and stay overnight. What do you think of this idea? Would it be weird? Have you ever been to a weekend wedding? Thank you for your answers!!!! :) |
Posted: 15 Oct 2017 12:32 PM PDT His family is Indian, I am half Indian and my other side is catholic and I would prefer a lowkey catholic wedding that is simple. His parents are making this totally against my culture (they are South Indian and my dad is North Indian, that's a big culture clash and my mom is Colombian). I feel like they're making the wedding all about him rather than the both of us. I really just want to cry because they could care less about my culture and they still expect my family to pay for the whole thing because it's "Indian tradition". It's making me feel like his family expects my family to buy my fiancé from them... |

Question: How much should I spend on a wedding ring? Posted: 15 Oct 2017 09:04 AM PDT I'm proposing to my girlfriend... I have worked out that I have a budget of $20,000 for the wedding (excluding the honeymoon). How much should I spend on a ring? |
Question: Anyone else have family angry at them for not inviting them to your wedding? Posted: 15 Oct 2017 07:24 AM PDT My husband and I had a small wedding of only our intimate family. My relatives are angry with me still that I didn't invite them and make jabs. Neither my husband nor I wanted to have anything larger and had actually considered eloping. His family is not hurt, however (thankfully). It doesn't matter if they're mad but it's annoying, especially having to withstand their jabs. Curious to hear from others. I didn't expect them to be angry and I don't know what to say when they ask why I didn't have a bigger one. I just always say "because we didn't want to" I mean really! |
