My parents are divorced and have been for about 18 years. It was a very nasty divorce and my parents still do not talk and certainly can t be in the same room. My father has remarried the woman he was cheating on my mother. I still talk to my father, but my brothers and everyone on my mothers side does not have anything to do with him. I am so conflicted because I would like my family to be there for my wedding, but if I invite my father no one will show up from my mothers side. If I dont invite my dad he would be upset. There would be not talking to them to be civil on MY wedding day so that is just not an option. My thought is to possibly have two weddings especially since it is both my fiance and my second weddings. I want his family to be there too so I can t cut everyone out from our wedding. I am so torn I do not know what to do.

Fiancee doesn't have much surviving family, so she fell into a cult in order to get a sense of belonging. She got out, but really most of the friends she made as an adult were members. Thing is, their religious beliefs are weird and they don't trust outsiders. Should we send invitations to her friends from the cult? The idea makes me uncomfortable, but without them it would be pretty much only my family and friends going.
