It's honestly bothering me because we were bestfriends, and one night we had a fight in my building and she just walked away without letting me explain anything. I held her softly for 1 minute trying to explain my side of the situation , she told me later that night that I crossed the line when I didn't let her leave, and she asked me to never speak to her ever again. I kept texting her for 3 days trying to apologize to her but she called the cops on me and the cops came to my door because I wasn't leaving her alone. I just can't beleive she did all this to me, I'm the person that cared about her the most. I just feel like she stabbed me in the back.....can I get any advice please???? I'm just very upset |

Her dad refuses to get her therapy because he's afraid that the therapists will just give her pills that will make her suicidal. And the my friend is like "But I already am, so it's pointless." She's claiming she is suicidal. Her dad thinks she is ungrateful for what she has. Her dad basically has her whole life planned out for her. My friend feels like she doesn't have a life. Her mom is too poor to afford therapy because she is struggling. My friend thinks she is fat even though she isn't. And lately she has been very rude and moody and bringing me down whenever I'm happy. I used to feel suicidal just like her and when I told her about my problems she laughed at me saying it's my fault that I'm bullied and that my other friend died. My friend tends to judge me a lot. When I'm with we she calls people fat and ugly, and she likes to take pictures of me and her friends and point out the flaws. I'm not sure f she's depressed or not and I don't know how to help her. She tells me ways of how she'd kill herself. |

While I did used to have friends years ago, against my will I did lose them or lost touch and for years now ive been basically a loner even though I'm in college. And I do enjoy chatting to people here and there. I love to laugh. I'm also very quiet in school and in general. And while sometimes i feel bad about not being able to make friends or talkingmuch it doesnt kill me to sit alone or be alone ... Its kind of a refuge. Not having to talk or deal with someone elses personality. Sorry for the rant...dont know where I'm going with this. I don't see them often because we live in different towns (although nearby) but we don't drive. Most of the time when I contact them, whether individually or a group message, they don't respond but they "read" the messages. It bothers me but I've already told them how much I want to talk to them and see them and they never make half the effort I make. One of them said she'd contact me more and she hasn't. They haven't indicated any reason to be mad at me or anything so I'm not sure what is going on. When you have aspergers syndrome it's hard to make friends, even as an adult. It causes me stress, especially when they say I'm their best friend or friend. What should I do? By the way, one of my friends has depression and has bipolar also and the other has some disabilities I think including aspergers also. But im not sure how this would cause you not to talk to a friend not often. |

The thing is last year was the worst year of my life so far; it was filled with so much drama. This year I tried to keep myself out of the drama and then bam she just tells me the news. We are doing presentations and the last time I did one, I broke down. I usually ask to go to the restroom in that class so I could waste time and recollect myself. I do makeup work when I stay at home and miss big presentations/debates, my grade is really good. This might be the first time I'm ditching and staying in the restroom, I'm planing on going straight to the restroom before class starts and chill on my phone and try and cope with my anxiety. |

Her excuse is that she was talking to a floormate, and didn't know how to end the conversation. This happens every time we meet up. Then, I took time out of my schedule to go to three events with her, which I didn't really mind because I don't have a roommate and I want to be social and make friends. However, she doesn't reciprocate that. For example, for almost two weeks now, I've been asking her if she could walk with me to the School of Music (which is 5 minutes away from our dorms) to checkout the music rooms, and every time I asked her, she agreed, and then canceled at the last minute. But then again, she bought me $30 worth of clothes, and I paid her back today, but should I be upset or just let it go? |

After a phone call where she wanted to come over and 'cuddle', I said no. A few months later, I tried to get in touch with her, assuming we were friends, and she was really nasty to me and said all kinds of cruel things. I finally confronted her about the times she used me as a spare while she played the field, it was a vicious call. She sent me a e-mail apologizing telling him that she still really cared about me a lot, how she was truly sorry for all of the things she told me, regretted it, and that she was going through stuff at the time. I called her back, she told me that she missed me, That she still felt a strong connection with me, yet downplayed our past relationship (when we were a couple) attributing it to being 'young and naive' and that she liked some things about our relationship. She also told me how she was interested in hook ups with random people. But at the end of the phone call, I wished her good luck and happiness in life and told her goodbye. She told me that I could call whenever I wanted to talk, but I didn't respond to her offer, and just said 'bye.' After she told me bye, she stood on the line until I hung up. I honestly feel that I did the right thing. Who wants to be used? Who wants to still be friends with someone who put them through all of that? I sometimes feel like she was just going to use me as a spare/security blanket while she played the field again. Her past behavior exemplified this. Even though she said that the relationship (when we were officially a couple) because they were 'young and naive', yet she 'really cared a lot about me' and couldn't seem to let me go and feeling devastated when he finally said goodbye. Was she just trying to keep me on hold until she was done playing the field? |

I was deeply hurt and felt betrayed by friend. My friend didn't understand because he said well the two of you aren't together anymore so what's the big deal. I introduced my friend to my ex and he'd only hung out with him when I was around. He knew how I felt about him cheating on me with with woman. It's one of the reasons him and I broke up and that was only 2 months ago. Me and my friend had a big falling out about it because he told me I was being stupid for being upset. So now, we aren't speaking. All of my friend tell me that I had a right to feel the way that I did and he was being insensitive and selfish. Was I wrong to be offended by this? |

It's especially hard because our group had eight people, but three people had already left. Two quit, and another went to go work for a different room. What should I tell my team? Okay, now we have that cleared up. There's a girl who I'm acquaintances with, but I don't want to make the first move to ask her for hanging out with me becuase I don't know what we'll do. If this helps, I'm in eighth grade. We are both Pentatonix fans, but she is SO MUCH more popular than me. If there was a scale 1-10 for popularity (10 being most popular and 1 being least popular), she'd be and 8 and I'd be a 2 or 3. But she's really nice, and her friends too. Me, her, and her friends are all in the school a cappella group, which increases my chances for befriending her. I don't have social media and Pentatonix isn't coming to my state so I can't really ask her to go to a concert with me. We have three similar classes, but I only sit at her table for one class, and I talk to her there. Her friends... I don't have many classes with them. Only a few. But I'm not very pretty, and I know people judge others on their looks. She's nice, but I normally don't "reach out" to others so they'll probably be a bupit surprised and I don't know them that well, just that they're singers. |

Anyway I'm 20, in college & I'm extremely lonely. I have no friends and I haven't really had any close friends my entire life and that's no exaggeration. I'm a junior but a transfer student, I live with 2 seniors and both have close groups of friends who they go out to party and hangout with. I'm pretty much the only one ever in the house. I joined clubs & try to go to as many socials and meetings as they have and interact the best I can in clubs & class but people usually don't seem to want to talk to me which is no surprise because awkwardness and desperation probably just radiates from me. I know some people say it doesn't matter & I'll eventually meet people I fit in with but it doesn't seem that way; everyone already has tight knit groups at this point in life and it doesn't feel like I'm welcome anywhere I go. also, I mentioned roommates but I don't live in a dorm, it's an apartment |
