My husband has two close friends. One of them feels like a family member to me and I get along great with him and his siblings. The other friend tends to get on my nerves easily and his wife is very nice, but I just don't click with her. I'm always excited when my husband says we'll hang out with the first guy but when he mentions the second guy and his wife, or us all hanging out, I feel so annoyed. I don't want to ruin his friendship and the friend is a good guy so I don't mind him being friends, but it's one of those things where if I never hung out with him and his wife again I would be just fine. Today, Mary called Sam and said Devon has to move in with Larry . It sounds like she's making decisions for Larry's place . I've known Devon since he was a little boy . What do I tell Devon ? I have this new friend that is in my friendgroup. My group consists of me, my boyfriend, my best friend, and a few other friends. Pretty much more than half of those people (including my best friend and boyfriend) hate this girl. She has recentely become close to me. I was unemployed for about two years and the people around me just gave me basic advice like have faith and apply online. However, my wealthy friend who has his own company very large business is this incredible individual always invites me to his house and cooks amazing food for his family and friends I told him my struggle and he quickly was able to connect me with someone at a small business and I am much happier now. Poor people are worthless they don't help and the way they carry themselves is terrible. What do you think!?

I am a sophomore and one of my best friends is a Junior and her 16th b-day party is coming up. I want to go but I am scared of being in a uncomfortable situation, I know for a fact people are bringing beer, vodka, alcohol and there will be vaping, possible drugs and hookups. I am a college senior about to graduate that volunteered to tutor in math. I got assigned to a sorority which had lots of beautiful girls. I became good friends with many of them and thought I might date them until one of them told me almost everyone in that sorority was gay. I was very disappointed but we became good friends. One problem they told me they had was they could not go to some school activities they really wanted to go to without a male date. I said problem solved. I will take you. One of the sorority girls must have told her father about our "dates". I got a call from the father one day asking me to join him for lunch at his country club. At the lunch he thanked me for changing his daughter to straight. He introduced me to several company presidents and told them I was an outstanding young man and he would consider it a personal favor if they had any job opening to give me a chance at the jobs. I got 2 job offers at that luncheon and I am going to take one of them. I thought changing someone from gay to straight was not possible. Is it? If she changed it is news to me. The dad was very nice to me and I wonder if I deserve his gracious help finding a job. Should I just take the job I was offered with his help and hope for the best for him and his daughter? I don't want to take credit for something I did not do but it is a really great job offer.

I'm 23. I have a friend who has slept with multiple co-workers, and they drink and have done cocaine together. It's OK at her workplace. I met two guys from her work, and I ended up hanging out with one of the guys for 3 days straight. We were drinking and did cocaine at one point. It was my birthday weekend, and I'm sure my "friend" wouldn't be concerned about his money spent, if it was spent on her. I went off on both of them and blocked them. He should have never even spoken to her if my friend was talking sh*t. They are also insane for doing cocaine, and I don't ever do that. I think friendship is a strong word .. when I think of that I think of someone who you intend to have in your life through thick and then . Those friends who can get through the downs and tests to see of your friend ship is strong enough. Like if something small goes wrong BAM they ready to talk about you and cut you off that very moment .. and that's not a long lasting friendship. My best friend committed suicide, which came as a total shock to everyone as nobody had any idea she would do that. I certainly had no clue, but it was clear she planned it well in advance. Anyhow, when people ask about it or don't know and ask how she is I obviously can't say she is fine, but when I simply say she passed away everyone asks what happened as she was not an age where one expects it and she had not been ill. (Well she was mentally ill, we just did not know how seriously) I do not want to lie, but I do not want to tell the truth. Hi so I've been working with my friend as an assistant for a little extra and he keeps getting jumpy about paying what he owes me.. Firstly when he pays me he'll only give me around 1/3 of what I worked for that week and hell let the debt pile up to the point where he can't pay me. My two "best friends" never seem to put in any time or effort to spend time with or support me, when I show them endless support (going to their games, asking them about events they just went to) and am always trying to make plans with them. They don t ever seem interested in me or my life. I honestly feel like my two best friends are trash to me and my people who i consider friends but not tht close (yanno what i mean?) are better to me. I lost most of my friends over the years and I struggle being around a person one on one. I'm okay with being in a group, but having a relationship with someone one on one seems almost impossible to me. I'm 15 btw and I struggle with depression if that helps in any way.

I mean a specific person who rejected you and you kept trying to get close and change his or her mind about you. Then you got a taste of it by accident one day and you realize you only wanted it because you couldn't have it... It doesn't feel all that great to have to practically (in action) beg for someone's attention to get it.

I think I'm outgrowing this friendship. It took me a while to get it but I can't go anything past the superficial level with her. Maybe it was my fault because she has a lot of "friends" that keeps her friendships casuals. In my 30's, I crave more substance and things past things that are "on the surface". I notice that she never remembers what I'm up to (my sister argued - "well it's because you don't post things on Facebook.) Has this happened to you? I can't explain it - the whole "let's meet up" robotic hang out. Also, I feel that she's not very excited about my life or new career changes. She seems almost ignorant and I'm usually forgiving but she doesn't make an effort to know or care. It's just, "oh cool! That job will make a lot of money!"
