I've known him since first, and we're in highschool now. He's always been quiet, timid and afraid to stand up for himself. The other, more popular kids would make fun of him, and he'll just sit there, with a constant dull face(not sad, not happy, not blinking), and wouldn't say anything. At break time, he strolls around the school campus by himself while everyone else, including myself, is talking and playing with friends. Maybe some of them are right when they say that he's weird, though. He has a strange habit of touching people hands, collar bones, in an attempt to "feel their bones," he said. He makes "animal-sounding" noises when he's walking to class as well. I have also seen him taking a knife out to his yard(we live in the same neighborhood with no fence between us), looking for squirrels or whatever. He also laughs and smiles to himself sometimes, too. What is far more strange is that he's very bright. He makes straight A's, never gets in trouble(except for stealing someone's phone once), but isn't in any school clubs, though. When people ask if he has friends, he says no instantly. When they ask what he plans to do with his life after high school, he says, "I don't care much about it." Some people even said he's the "definition of weird." And he's a junior, like me.

But they told me this friendly advice through the internet. We dont even know each other any mote than me and my online friend do. By the way I completly agree that online relationships and friendships are nothing more thanchildish fantasies

At first my question was going to be, "What to do when someone thinks your avoiding them". But i realize, i sort of am avoiding her- not because i dont care about her, or i dont like her, but mainly because she takes alot of energy to be around. She subconsciously puts pressure on me, because she wants from me something that i cant give her. I cant be that buddy-buddy, dancy, giggly, best friend type of person. Thats not who I am. None of the people i know are my best friend. And i cant see her that way because a best friend for me is someone who sticks by you when the going gets rough. Our personalities dont really mix— and i dont feel very comfortable around her. We've known eachother 5 years, and shes the only "real life" friend ive had. (All of my friends Ive known have been the online-sort of people.) I dont know how to break away from her. Ive been dropping hints, then feeling guilty and apologizing to her, and telling her i wasnt avoiding her. But I know that its hurting her more for us to _stay_ friends. A group of friends of mine had a party at a mutual friends house and I brought my little brother along. A couple of the other girls decided to play a group game of truth or dare where each person gets a turns to have the group do a truth or dare. Any way, someone dare the group to touch my brothers privates for 5 seconds. I'm hindsight it was a really stupid idea Any way but we were all drunk (except my brother obviously). According to some girls at my school, I'm always. Pretty boy. Personally, I think that makes sense, but I'd like to see the opinion of others. Let's see. Unlike most guys in high school, I care about my appearance and try to dress nice and be well-groomed. My morning routine is as follows-and if you're wondering, yes, I follow this exact schedule every single day: 1. Wake up and brush teeth 2. Apply homemade face pack (which I prepare the night before) which contains milk, honey, lemon, turmeric, tomatos, potatoes, and carrots to my face, neck, and arms. 3. Eat breakfast, which contains of carrots (good for skin), spinach (good for hair), and green tea (good for skin). 4. Workout and do facial exercises to keep my skin tight 5. Shave/shower (I keep a little stubble cause it looks good) 6. Put on clothes (I wear a lot of blazers, chinos, sweaters/cardigans, pea coats, and casual button-downs). 7. Hair routine (rub pomade between hands, apply to damp hair, use hair dryer and comb to style it, and then use hairspray to keep it that way). 8. Moisturize and apply sunscreen. I don't want to pry too much into her issues, I believe she has hypermobile type. Among her issues she has digestive issues that mean she's often ill and she's obese but because of problems with mobility she can't exercise, thus she's depressed about her size (she was anorexic in her teens, has a stick-thin sister who's her parents favourite, and her husband left her when she started gaining weight). She also has issues with losing her teeth which makes her feel ugly. I don't see her often and I'm not great being the supportive type (e.g. I suck dealing with people when they're crying etc.) so I'm not sure what I could do to help her feel better. Any suggestions?

So last night I spent the night at my friend's house and he invited his neighbor over (she's pretty cute. I'm 16 and she is 12. Basically the other guy that was there besides my friend received a ******** from this girl, and she's bipolar/stupid as f*ck so for some reason she tells her mom that she did that and that she snuck out last night. My friend's mom yelled at him for inviting a girl over and now he's not allowed to have anyone over. She also kicked me out of their house. Ive been friends with these guys for years. Occasionally i will host a party or event (which i spend a lot of money on) and invite many different people. But these same 3 to 4 friends ALWAYS say they are coming, but then don't because at the last minute they don't feel like going out of their way and want to party somewhere else instead because they don't think the ladies at my parties are hot enough for them (and this is actually the truth). All these guys want to do is go to the clubs downtown and get hot girls. These guy friends are in their early 30's and well educated. They also use drugs too, so that is part of the issue as well. My parties are usually not downtown, so they have to go out of their way. Again, i don't have a problem with them not coming...i have an issue with them saying that they are coming and then literally not showing up (or even calling to say hey, i can't make it). They don't even apologize later! Then sometime throughout the year, they have a party and i always try to make it out to theirs. They get upset when people flake on them too! What would you say to them? I know that putting them on the spot will make them uncomfortable and probably not help the situation to be honest.

I've never smoked in my life and some people already tried to make me light one up and get addicted which left me only to never talk to them again, but even when i don't smoke, me being next to anyone who smokes just makes me cough alot and for some reason it hurts my heart when im close to smoke. Few friends already stopped making any kind of contacts with me because they saw me just step away from them when they're smoking. They don't ask why i just move or anything. My friend & I don't like this one girl we go to school w/ because she starts a lot of drama for no reason. Two nights ago we were dming each other on instagram talking about how annoyed we are that she's coming back to school (she was gone bc surgery). I dont have a best friend but I have a few friends but I feel as if I can't talk to them about anything. I would tell my one friend my problem and she would always say "oh okay" for everything. Double birthday dilemma, help? So I have an issue. My close friend invited me to her (small) birthday party, but she's doing it with her sister because their birthdays are by each other. Her sister is just my "friend." We joke around and talk when I see her, but just that. She's not my "close friend." I want to give my friend $40 (She's saving up for a laptop and wants cash lol) but I don't want to spend more than 50 overall. My parents are saying that we might move to a city just north of Atlanta, Georgia right after my sophomore year at my current high school in Austin, TX!!! I have moved once in 3rd grade, but that was a local move, and I've grown up to know a lot of people from my schools here and I know people from around the school district. If i do go,what can you advise me about calming myself when i engage in a conversation? How to keep calm? How to encourage myself to be a part of the conversation rather than to be the lonely one that just listens to the convo and pretends im busy on my phone?

So i have a friendship with this girl and its a 2 year friendship. Around June she got a boyfriend who s a total jerk and treats her and I so poorly. He thinks we re "too close" and calls me a lesbian and completely bullies me in every single way he can by bringing up a very intense moment in the past that I would rather not say. Then, he s cheated on her about two times but she doesn t understand that he s gonna keep hurting her. They ve broken up about 5 times already but they always get back together. But whenever I wanna call her she says she s busy. Then I realize that about 10 minutes later she calls her boyfriend. She s always ditching me for her boyfriend. Also, she keeps making friends with girls I hate, and she knows. She becomes so close with the girls I don t really like and with rich girls to get attention. It just really bothers me and makes me sad how she would rather pick a 4 month relationship over a nearly 3 year friendship and keeps making new friends which makes me feel pretty replaced.

I've been looking into making new friends lately since I'm tired of being a lonely wolf. So I found this guy on Twitter who seems really nice, looks like he has the same interests as me and seem like a really nice dude in general. However, I dont know how to get a convo going with someone I dont fully know yet. I'm not sure if he replies to private messages and I dont want to seem needy. We have had some small conversations going over simple tweets, but I wanna get to know him more. Can I simply ask if he's up for a conversation? Or that I want to get to know him some more? I get really anxious and I'm afraid to make myself look creepy, but in reality I just wanna make friends. Thanks for any help!

By hating they're acting like being nice and kind, but when its come to trouble they'll be sure to run and leave people behind, no matter who i feel like they're all the same its like a feeling or sense telling me not to approach them, its not like i have any experience of getting betrayed leave behind alone it just not having a unlucky event to make them show they're real face should i change how i think or continue thinking they're bunch of loser

I'm Canadian and I have worked in Shanghai. During my time there I made many friends (some of them very rich). When I left Shanghai I mentioned to my friends about how I had saved money working there which would help me for going back to school in Canada. This was definitely not a hint to borrow money, but 2 of my friends have insisted on giving me a cash gift to help me pay for school. One of them has offered me $25 000 Canadian dollars. The other has not specified the amount. We are close friends and their homes are each valued at over 5 million USD. They will not be suffering. They are also single and they seem to want to help me. I will take the money, do I have to pay tax? I think in Canada (likely America and other places) that I do not have to pay tax on the gift itself but if I am able to invest any that I may have to pay tax on the interest.

They seem kinda lonely and I honestly just like listening to different accents. One is in my English class and she's from japan and another one is in my history class and he's from somewhere in Europe. They both don't talk much and are usually doing something alone. How do I talk to them and become their friends?

I used to be very close to this one girl in high school. I knew her because she dated one of my friends and after they broke up me and her just stayed friends. We were best friends for about 2 years and she was just the kindest sweetest person i knew, I did notice however that a little later in our friendship she got more and more anxious about things and wanted to go out more and more often she would call me every night asking if I wanted to go to a party or something, I m not much of a party person so I turned her offer down a bunch of times. We eventually grew apart because she went off to a different college than me and we just sort of lost contact, it was mutual there was no big dramatic fight or anything like that. Of course I still kept up with her on snap chat and insta and I noticed that at school all she did was party. Eventually she got kicked out because she failed everything which didn t really surprise me. However just a little while ago I got a message from someone saying that she had been arrested, I clicked the link they sent and it was her mug shot, she was being charged with a felony cocaine possession! I was so shocked I never saw anything like this ever happening. This is the first time that someone I know has been charged with something so serious. She is only 19 years old and she s about to go to prison for a minimum sentence of 5 years!! I feel really bad for her and know that there isn t anything I can do to help her.

My best friend and I were really close. Few months after high school it's like he forgot all about me. Talking to a person who was in my class that I dropped remembered me and said the whole class asked about me(meaning like where have I been). Things like this give me the impression I'm unforgettable but yet after high school my best friend(not an ordinary friend) doesnt text me anymore or really think about me. I feel like our relationship cant get any further.. I dont know what to talk about, im shy and was antisocial all my life.. So I'm a freshman in college and I find it hard to make friends. Even back in high school I didn't really have a best friend, but I did have a group of friends I hang out with at lunch and sometimes after school. I never really do well in social situation. I always feel awkward when it comes to social situations like parties I will always be left out like the loner. To be honest I kind of like being a loner as in you have more freedom and get more control of your life. I find college everyone just mind their own business. Like before class, people just use their phone or study. Unlike high school, people usually talk in class. In college people pay attention or use their phone. I accept the fact it's really hard for me to make friends, but how can I make just a few friends? Also I live off campus not in dorm so I don't get that experience.

Okay so if you watch YouTube there is a group of friends who have been arguing and one of the friends went live and kinda went on a rampage probably said some things she regrets and then another friend posted a video about loyalty. Well I kind of understand both sides, sometimes we get so fed up and believe our truth and nothing else matters. I also understand having loyalty! So what do you think being a friend is and would oh consider the girl who went on live to be a snake?

So I have an issue. My close friend invited me to her (small) birthday party, but she's doing it with her sister because their birthdays are by each other. Her sister is just my "friend." We joke around and talk when I see her, but just that. She's not my "close friend." I want to give my friend $40 (She's saving up for a laptop and wants cash lol) but I don't want to spend more than 50 overall. I think it would be rude to get her sister a $10 gift card or something, because that's too little, but at the same time I don't know of any item that would cost 10 and be a good gift (and she wouldn't be able to tell it's cheap). I'm 20 years old,a child abuse survivor.This story is about how I got emotionally attached to the wrong person. I met this girl at a summer job.We got close and she confided in me about her abuse. She described it in graphic detail. After that I made it my mission to fix her. I wanted to be there for her and help her. I never minded giving her anything even physical comfort. I'd lay in her lap and let her stroke my hair and touch my face. She'd hold my hand and intertwine our fingers. She'd ask for hugs. Sometimes she'd get playful and bite my hand or lick food of my fingers. One day she asked me if I like someone. I said no.She replied "I think I've a crush on you.Is it weird?" Then another time she said I'm falling for you She had a boyfriend and I eliminated the possibility of her liking me and I saw her as just a friend. The most intimate we got was at a sleepover. She told me she had a fight with her bf and asked me to lay next to her.Then she cuddled into me and asked me to stay, as she was half conscious. Another day we had a deep talk and then she pulled me close on the bed. Her arms were around me,my head was on her chest and I could feel her heart beating really fast. Then she began changing. She betrayed me to our mutual friends,started spreading lies that I was chasing/obsessing over her when I tried to fix the situation. She tells me she's addicted to me,can't get over me, can't trust herself with me but constantly betrays me. What wrong have I done?

I had this friend who messed me over. She started talking crap about me, real crap, and I was the bigger person and walked out of the relationship because it was toxic. I thought my future self would thank me. However, this year hasn't been easy. She's made a lot of friends, has a new boyfriend, is closer to my friends that I am, and keeps getting her way. It really has affected me and my self esteem, I don't know how to change my mentality. I'm constantly blaming myself and thinking it's not fair, and why do people love her more than me? it really hurts.

I'm 4'7 also im a adult and every were I go shopping I always get people who are in line at the back of me say wow she's ****** short. I just ignore them and when I come home I feel bad and sometime I wanted to die because I'm not tall and people making fun of me. It just drain the energy out of me. It's my best friend's 16th birthday soon and I'm trying to give her a memorable birthday (we have a competition to see who can get the other, the better present and this year she got me a dog so the bar is set pretty high), except she goes to a different school. my current plan is to set up some gifts for her before school and she would get them as she goes to her classes, but do you think there's anything better?
