Question: Best friend issues :(? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 05:56 PM PDT so me and my best friend dream of being veterinarians together. one problem: she always makes things a competition and will sometimes tell me wrong answers so she gets a better grade or will sign up for a volunteer opportunity and not tell me. she does whatever it takes to one up me. we are both smart, in AP classes and both do volunteer work. But what is something I could do to make me stand out? Im tired of her lying to me and keeping secrets from me. I already have a big self esteem issue and constantly compare myself to others. I just need something that would look good on college applications that she may not have. Please help me

Question: Am i being mad over nothing..? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 05:21 PM PDT So today in my math class we had to do this worksheet and me and 2 of my friends were working together and me and one of them start fooling around and my other friend tells us to stop we do and then she helps the other girl with the problem and then they move on but i ask my friend if she can help me and she says "Ok soo-" and then she said.. Oh you're on that one and then they just move on without me and i keep asking one of them for help but she keeps saying "there's not enough time in the world to help you" so i just sat there.. trying not to cry (Yeah i'm that sensitive..) and then they finish and turn it in and i just shove it in my bag and then the class is over...And then in our last class of the day (before music) there was this paper on the floor by me and i picked it up and she told me she kicked it over by me and i tried to give it back to her and i kindly said "Throw away your trash" (even tho it wasn't any of ours) and she said "No" while trying to give it back to me and then she said "Stop" and threw it on the floor between the 2 of us.. also there was some tape on her desk (That she was to scared to pick up) and she did using the edge of her finger and then put it on another desk.. I'm mad at her but i feel like i'm being to sensitive and mad over nothing.. Can i get some help..?

Question: As a woman, which technique would most likely get you off faster? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 03:51 PM PDT Assuming the guy is "hitting it" from the back and both partners are standing, do women get off faster when their partner is doing short rapid strokes with 3/4 of the D inside and the remaining 1/4 thrusting in and out rapidly? Or long and fast strokes using the whole D, with the head of the D always remaining inside during thrusting, and the rest of the D being thrusted in and out? I am not asking this question in order to better my sex life, so don't tell me to ask my partner. It is simply for comparison purposes and to see how much it varies, amongst other reasons. I find myself having to state a reason for my questions these days in order to get a simple answer.

Question: How can I get over my social anxiety? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 02:41 PM PDT I have a slight bit of social anxiety, and it's gotten a LOT better. Buuut.... My friend invited me to a bonfire at his house with 10 of his other friends and in a big group like that I'm gonna be a bit nervous. Any tips or advice? I've never met any of them except for my buddy who's hosting the party.
Posted: 11 Oct 2017 02:20 PM PDT I am willing to pay if there is a program where you can find someone you met during a trip since the person I met we happened to take photos together. I just sadly didn't get his name.Ok, I have met a guy in London in a restaurant during my trip back in August. I was seated next to him but happened we got into a conversation and started talking and so on for like more than an hour. Then it happened to be we were the same ethnicity which was funny because my ethnicity is not very popular. We actually took pictures I have like 3 or 4 pictures of me and him and thankfully they are clear images. He took images of me and him from his own phone as well. Thankfully I have pictures of us too. I didn't get his name sadly or any info I just know some basic info about him like where his family was from but is there such thing for something online where you can buy or for free try to find someone based on my image I have of him. Thankfully its clear images but I want to reconnect with him as friends. It is so sad he asked for my email but I just said I don't really use it cause at first I wasn't too sure about giving him my info I found it to be so stupid of me to not ask for his info or Facebook or whatever to reach out to him. NOW i want to find him and reconnect I am hoping my pictures will help me find him. Please let me know what I could do. Thank you so much it would mean a ton to me.
Question: I’m 14 I Feel Alone, I Have No Friends.. Please Help.? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 02:04 PM PDT I'm a 14 year old guy, I need a Bestfriend.? I'm 14 I just started high school, all of my close friends go to different schools and we're usually too busy to see eachother. I go to a Theme high school, meaning it is very small and it is less than 200 students. I try to socialize with them but they don't really like me. To be honest, I just want one friend, I kinda want one from the opposite gender (female) because people say they last longer and are better. I don't know how to make friends outside of school. I don't have neighbors so finding kids in the neighborhood is crossed out. How can I find a friend of the opposite gender that will really be everlasting and some one I'll be happy with and be able to see a lot. Because right now I'm kinda depressed. Forgot to mention, all of my close friends have girlfriends, I'm the only one out of all of us who hasn't ever had a girlfriend so I always feel extra alone, please help me....
Question: My friend has an eating disorder? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 02:03 PM PDT so I have an eating disorder and so does my friend who lives in Ohio. I feel quite hypocritical for saying this but I want him to recover and be happy and I m super scared for him. I counseled him and tried to get him to talk to his mom about him but he repeatedly declined and told me his mom wouldn t care and would call him selfish + ignorant. I live in New York so I can t really do anything to watch over him or tell someone close to them but I do have their school name but I m quite scared. this is going to sound selfish, bit I don t want them to be angry at me and stop talking to me because he s one my best friends but I know if I let him continue with this path of self destruction he ll end up dying but I can t bring myself to email the school I don t know why.
Question: How do I move past this, I feel guilty and sad? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 01:24 PM PDT So on one of my old accounts I had this really good friend named Elysia or something like that. Her profile pic was something like a ballerina and she was very nice and fun. We would always email each other but I ended up deleting that account and forgot to save her email. I can't find her and we havent talked in awhile. I missed this a lot, and I will probably never find her again and I feel very guilty and sad. How can I move past this? And if by some crazy chance Elysia sees this, my name was Joey. @ Par 4 Wow I didnt even think of that. Thanks :)
Posted: 11 Oct 2017 01:10 PM PDT Me and my best friend both just started high school. We don't have friends in our class and we're together all the time. We both feel like we spend too much time together and we're starting to get tired of each other... We talked about it and we agreed that we should find some activities where we wont be together and we'll be with other friends so we wont be together at EVERTHING. even though I feel the same as her it kinda hurt my feelings to hear that she wants us to seprate in some activities and im worried that it will hurt our friendship. I have a few quotations. Do you think that our desicion is a good thing? is it ok to want having things seprate from your best friend and not wanting to be together all the time? and do you think it will hurt our friendship? I would love to read your opinions/advices! Thank you so much :-)
| Question: My friend has just died in Iraq and I still can't believe he's gone? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 01:08 PM PDT My friend has just died in Iraq 9 days ago,he was 20 yo. We had known each other since we were in middle school and he has always loved me. I didn't love him back that way but I really loved him (in a friendly way). | Question: Why do i want to push away my best friend? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 01:03 PM PDT this may sound petty and dramatic but my best friend is beginning to lowkey annoy me. sometimes she copies what i do and the thing is its a façade; she's trying to act like something that shes not. and you can tell she doesnt do it very well (trust me I know) but even though she does copy what I do, I dont think that is enough reason for me to get this inexplicable urge to push her away. (I think this because if my other friends would copy one or two things i would say i ld be completely fine with it; it seems to just be HER that irks me) don't get me wrong I dont hate her. it's just I wanna push her away SOMETIMES. I dont feel like indulging in conversation with her sometimes. and I don't know why (maybe it was what i previously mentioned? idkkk) maybe its because we have known each other for a while now (like 10 years) and we have been at the same school throughout. so maybe im tired of her? but if that's the case then why am i fine with people i have known all my life? people i have known for 12 years? 14 years? (I'm 16 btw) is this all a phase? should i talk to her about it? and if i do. what do i say? "hey I think you're annoying and I dont really know why" is it some psychological issue? am i going crazy? possibly. am I rambling through typing? yes did that even make sense? not really. I'll shut up. but i hope you got the gist of my situation send help pls. thank you. |

Question: Why is he doing this? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 12:02 PM PDT My ex and I at church and I feel like he cant take his eyes off me. He said he wouldn't allow himself to have feelings but if this were the case and if it were me i wouldn't even look at him. Yet he's constantly observing me. I try and not look at him. Today my friend was with me and saw how much he was looking so she smiled and he smiled back at her knowing she's my friend. She said he looked flustered.Doesn't make sense? Could he be looking just to look?
Question: What's a reason someone might hide their own kids? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 11:52 AM PDT I mean, in their basement or something. Away from society. Even if this person is nice, why would they keep their kids a secret? Safety reasons? And what could those be? My friend wants to know. Best most descriptive answer gets 5 stars.
Question: What kind of person is this? Should I leave? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 11:24 AM PDT I have a friend who gets angry when I suggest hanging out together, and when I went question them they get angry again or lie to me and say nothing is wrong. They never share anything about themselves with me but with other people they are very different, are kind and never get angry. When I try to leave they desperately try to make me talk to them but carry this behavior on again. I have tried my best and for years they still don't let me in their life.
Posted: 11 Oct 2017 11:14 AM PDT I had a pretty nasty (and public) fight with my former best friend over something really petty and stupid, but we haven't spoken since. NOTE: It's been almost 3 years since we last spoke. I know it sounds really stupid to even care after this long, but lately I've been thinking about her quite a lot and about how I was wrong to say the things that I did (although she said some mean things too). I genuinely feel like I've changed as a person and that I regret how I acted.
Posted: 11 Oct 2017 11:08 AM PDT I'm 30 and I've been hooking up with this 43 year old guy since 2015 (we are not in a relationship). When we first started talking he told me he didn't have anything to offer me. I didn't really care at the time because I thought it would be a one time hookup. We have only hooked up three times since 2015 and we live in different states. The last time I saw him was in July. I asked him if I could come see him again. Like if we can meet up and have sex again and he said yes. I told him I would help him out financially for sex since he is currently going through a hard time and is living out of his car. I like spending time with him and I like the sex. But he doesn't have anything to offer me. So I don't know what to do now.
Question: Why would a guy tell his friend he loves a girl? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 11:02 AM PDT My guy friend and I have been for friends for nearly 2 years and I heard him admit to his friend he loves me while he didn t tell even tell me yet.
Question: Roomate bathroom problems? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 10:23 AM PDT ok here s the situation , i ve just moved in with my boyfriend and another couple to a two bed two bath rental. The other couples bedroom is an ensuite and our (my bf + me) bathroom is inbetween our bedroom and the kitchen. I thought I had made it clear when we were deciding on rooms that the bathroom would be only for me and my boyfiend and not communal , given that the other room is an ensuite. However they keep using our bathroom when they re in the kitchen / living room rather than going upstairs to their bathroom. It really pisses me off and i see it as an invasion of privacy ( i see the bathroom as an extension of our bedroom) and pretty disrespectful given what we had agreed . I don t know them very well but my boyfriend does (he is close friends with the guy) so I asked him to raise it with them but he won t as he says he dosn t mind them using the bathroom , i get the feeling that he thinks i m overreacting. what do you think i should do ? do you think i m overreacting ? should i raise it myself and how ?
Question: What can I do about this girl?? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 10:12 AM PDT She has to make everything about me especially bad stuff. We'll be in a group with like 7 people, talking about something random and she'll switch the subject to me out of nowhere. She does it every time. One time I took an ugly pic on this laptop and left it on there and she clicked on it and got everyone to look at it so everyone would say something negative about it. She'll make every conversation about me that has nothing to do about me and would get mad when someone says something positive about me. She'll put me through so much and play victim along. She doesn't do this to any other girl but to me. im a girl

Posted: 11 Oct 2017 10:02 AM PDT There's a group of people at the office who are individually very nice to me, but when they're standing around together (for example during a coffee break) and I join them they get quiet and start awkwardly looking at each other. | Question: I am married and have doubts that my close friend loves me. Any thoughts? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 10:00 AM PDT He is a handsome, smart, successful man in his 40s. He is the "ladies man": all women want him and chase him. He remains friendly to all of them, but doesn't take advantage of any of them if he doesn't like her back. He knows he is deadly charming and to die for, but he is not a womanizer. Typically, he is every girl's dream. He is a really good friend of mine. He cares for me deeply, as he calls me every day. We share our problems and how our days went on almost a daily basis. Sometimes, he is really stressed and shuts down on everybody, but not me. I know that he loves me greatly as a friend and that he finds me attractive. Sometimes when I'm down, I tell him that nobody loves me, and he answers "I do love you". I am married and I don't want to lose his friendship because he is a great caring friend. He knows that my husband mistreats me and says I am better off without him, that I'm a classy respectful beautiful lady. I need to know without asking him if he feels something for me because it would be too awkward to ask. Any thoughts? |

I know you messaged (his friends name)" I said "I messaged him ONE TIME" ex blocked then later apologized. 4. Said "bye" again 10-30 mins after he last said it, like he's coming back I messaged him "why do you confuse me" he said "bye" then blocked. Why did he do this? |

Question: Was I doing something wrong here? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 09:18 AM PDT I go to school 4 blocks from where my mom works. Sometimes when I get out of school, I go to her workplace and find an empty desk and do my homework and we go home together. Several of her co workers, mostly guys offered to help me with my homework and I sometimes accepted their offer. They were a great help and I thanked each one every time they helped me do homework. Several of mom's co workers, told me they had a daughter or son my age. One female co worker told me the guys did not really want to help me. It was great for their ego that they had the attention of a young girl. The guys never hit on me or did anything like that. Am I doing something wrong here?
Question: Was I subject to sexual harassment by my boss? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 09:13 AM PDT My boss at work who is a very good friend called me in his private office one day and asked me if I wanted to be considered for a new position in the company. Jokingly I said "I like to try new positions". With a big smile on his face, he said "If my boss knew what I was thinking now, I would be fired on the spot". I told him "If something comes up, let me know". We both had a good laugh. In the employee break room I told some of my female co workers about this and they told me that was sexual harassment. What do you think? Was that sexual harassment? If it was, who was harassing who? He did not say anything about sex.
Question: Why do people feel the need to disrespect me? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 08:40 AM PDT Today in school I was in my gym class talking to my friends and later on one of them told me that some girl I don't even know was mocking me, talking bad about me and just being two-faced. She one of those girls that uses people so she can get away with her two-face acts. So later on I approached her and said that she's a two faced ***** and that she should slit her wrists, drink bleach and die and she was crying. Some other girl that wasn't even apart of the situation butted in and called me disrespectful and yelled at me instead of the two-faced *****
Question: What to do with this jealousy situation? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 08:09 AM PDT My boyfriend is jealous of me choosing a seat in a lecture everyday behind a guy who once hit on me. What should I do? Tell him he s got nothing to worry about and continue to sit there? Is he overreacting? Or should I just switch to another place?
Posted: 11 Oct 2017 07:17 AM PDT But she hasn't. Was I completely wrong? She also wouldn't go out with me and lead me on then told me she honestly don't see us being more in the future while she was angry which is also another reason why I did it. I apologized to her, wrote her a letter stating how I feel about her and gave her chocolate to show her how sorry I am. I'm thinking of writing a song for her. She's still seems a little angry and hasn't unblocked me yet on instagram. Should I just give her some space for a bit and wait for her to contact me?

Question: Need advising on a friend issue? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 06:02 AM PDT This is gonna make me sound possesive but I have this friend that im trying to stay away from cause the friendship is so toxic we fight over stupid things and I feel like she always uses me. Anyways because of these reasons I always feel like I dont want her with me on everything, which she is, same uni's and classes and majors, and I swear I only have this feeling with her cause of my sense of hatred towards what she does to me. With other people I actually try to convince them to take the same classes as I am. I feel guilty about this feeling but I know for a fact, cause she always says it, that she dislikes the major we're taking but she see's no other choice. I used to always think that its the only thing that will keep me away from her but suddenly she's into it and suddenly she thinks she knows everything about it and im the dumb uneducated one (she called me that, not even lying). My question here basically is does anyone ever feel like that like not wanting someone to barge in and ruin what you love for you
Question: Friend Has a Problem in Japanese College; what should she do? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 05:44 AM PDT My friend is currently attending college in Japan. As part of that, she is required to have a urine test as part of a health exam. She will be required to take a container home, use it, and then bring it back to the college. The problem is, she has been struggling with getting rid of a fetish for peeing in places she shouldn't be. She's deathly worried about this because she has been working for YEARS with trying to get rid of this fetish of hers - to the point of even using pain as a motivator to stop(even though she's also afraid of pain). She has been doing very well with it, but is worried this will cause a relapse. She tried to explain to a teacher, but started shaking uncontrollably and nearly burst into tears just from trying to explain. What should she do? I'm one of two people who knows about her problem, and I'm the only one who's good at offering advice, but I'm really at a loss here, her and I could use some help. One more thing I should mention, she's very, very against lying - so getting someone else to fill the container is not an option. (And no, please don't say "it's normal to have a fetish or two". She's heard it before and she hasn't changed her mind; she's so heavily, personally discomforted by ANY kind of mental feelings related to sex, can't even SAY THE WORD 'sex' because it makes her so uncomfortable, she's decided what she wants for herself and hearing "it's normal" has only ever frustrated her more. So please just offer some real advice.)

Question: Is there something wrong with me? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 05:17 AM PDT I've been through alot who hasn't but I'm currently in my last year of high school I don't hang out with alot with any of my friends. The happiest time of my life was back in primary school or elementary school I felt like I was progresing in life. had friends talking to alot of people. Now ever since I've been in high school I've just been depressed because I don't like anyone there and I don't fit in at all but i had to accept that I couldnt change the school I was at for so many years. Hard to watch when your friends from elemtary school are going to parties having fun loving life and having friends. I just feel like I'm not moving forward in life at all I dont think I'm good enough for anyone anymore and I think in a group I'm always the one that's out. I don't know why I feel like this probably becuase everyone around me has something I wish I had friends someone to talk to or just to look nice. If I compare myself to when I started high school I was looking forward to this new life but realized it wasn't for me. Even with high school life ending now I just feel worthless and feel it will keep going on, sorry for wasting your time but thanks

Posted: 11 Oct 2017 03:27 AM PDT We got to our first stop, Sydney, and are suppose to head north into Indonesia and then fly from Malaysia to India. And then from there head to Southeast Asia. I know it's a long way there. But I have worked hard for this trip, and so has he. We have a long way to go and many thing to see and do. But what does he do? We have been here for barely a month and he has met a girl and fallen in love. F*****g idiot.... We aren't even suppose to stay here. Sydney is expensive and it's eating out of our budget. He has asked me twice now to stay just a week more. And now he came to me and said that he wants to stay here. Yes the girl is beautiful, nice and I'm sure he is in love. But that is not why we are here. I could literally kill him. I really have no idea what to do now. He is my best friend. We planned this together and should finish it together. But it seems he has made his choice. He put a girl he barely knows before our friendship and before our trip. Maybe I should go on alone. I honestly feel betrayed. What do I do?

Question: Was my friend just looking out for me? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 01:58 AM PDT I met my friend the other day and we hung out. She has been my close friend for years. I have recently got lots of confidence and have started to make more effort with my appearance and post more photos of myself and other things on social media wearing nice clothes. When we met up she told me to not post all the time on social media and that it wasn't a good idea to make social media my idol and that it didn't matter if I hardly get likes. Thing is, I have noticed that my friend posts more than me on social media and this really hurt and upset me because I like posting and want to keep doing it Am I being too sensitive or am I right in getting upset by this? Was she just looking out for me?

Question: Did my friend text me a "come-on"? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 01:23 AM PDT I was talking to a friend. He is a close friend, but we haven't seen each other in a while, but we keep in touch through texts, letter, etc. I asked him what was his preference and he replied saying he liked texts, letters, and long walks on the beach. Could that be taken as a come-on?

Question: What kind of person is this? Should I leave? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 12:16 AM PDT I have a friend who gets angry when I suggest hanging out together, and when I went question them they get angry again or lie to me and say nothing is wrong. They never share anything about themselves with me but with other people they are very different, are kind and never get angry. When I try to leave they desperately try to make me talk to them but carry this behavior on again. I have tried my best and for years they still don't let me in their life.
Question: Classmate doesn't accept my apology!? Posted: 11 Oct 2017 12:04 AM PDT At the school lab the other day, I was slow with cleaning up the classroom with the others because I was still busy cleaning my tools (which was mandatory in lab). I was having a hard time because there was gunk on it that wouldn't come off while my classmates were already done with cleaning theirs. My classmates started ganging up on me and told me how I wasn't contributing or that I was lazing around. I tried my best to clean my tools faster and then help them with the classroom. I managed to clean the countertops but they were still annoyed with me and thought I cleaned it sloppy (which wasn't until the teacher said I missed a spot!) The next day in class, I apologized to one of my lab classmates to ease the tense atmosphere, but instead of accepting my apology and moving on, she decided to tell me off by saying she and everyone else was irritated and annoyed with me for not helping out with the cleaning and how I shouldn't focus on just myself. She said she understands how I was still cleaning my tools but it was my fault for being slow and not cleaning with the others. Did she take things too far or did she have the right to tell me off? Please help! I don't want to have a tense relationship with my classmates!
Question: My roommate refuses to let me clean their things, and it's a problem. Help? Posted: 10 Oct 2017 10:56 PM PDT My roommate has a thing for taking care of their things themselves, and it's starting to make me frustrated. - They don't let me wash their dishes and will make a point of rewashing them if I do - They won't put their washing in with mine because they thing my clothes are dirty (-ier than theirs?) and yet only do their laundry after they've run out of clean clothes, and sometimes re-wear months old ones. I also have to distract them while they put their clothes in or they put it off indefinitely. - They won't state it outright, but want to have completely different sets of towels for everything. Shower towels I can get, but they need their own hand towels, drying towels, etc. and will passive aggressively use up our paper towels if they think I've used theirs. - They don't want to get their bed dirty. I don't mean 'don't wear shoes on the bed' type of cleanliness, I mean they prefer to sleep on the couch downstairs (and subsequently take over the living room with their things) than to sleep in their perfectly made bed. They also refuse to sleep under the covers or sheets if they haven't just showered, and will try to touch the floor as little as possible on the way from the bathroom to their bed. Our house isn't even dirty??? I have no idea what could be causing them this much distress. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. They haven't slept in their bed in more than a week and it's starting to be a problem. Forgot to clarify, they don't care that the couch is kinda the grossest thing in our house, but they do put a blanket on top of it. Which hasn't been washed in a month. I have no idea what sort of logic they're using. There are three roommates total, including me. I have no idea whether the third person cares or not, which is part of the reason I have yet to bring this entire thing up at once. (I've brought up isolated incidences) I don't want to be the one person who takes issue with something no one else does. I just want to know how to make them feel more comfortable living here, and to get to a point where I don't feel like I constantly have to walk on eggshells when cleaning and picking up is mentioned.
Question: Why do some people don't mind competition? Posted: 10 Oct 2017 09:21 PM PDT This other group member came to see what my group members and I are doing. After the person went away, I told my group members to not share anymore, but one of them said, "it's okay, we have to help each other". We spent hours on those ideas first? Just to add: the other group didn't even attempt to come up with any ideas before seeking advice from us.
