We have been dating for just about 3 months now. I really do trust him... and he trusts me too. We plan to see each other whenever we can. There is a possibility he is coming to visit me next month, and then I have the chance to visit him next winter break and over the summer. I also will have the chance to fly to California and spend weekends with him eventually. In 3 years we both have the plan of moving in together and I will be attending college in Southern California right by where he lives. Do you think this relationship will work? I don't have doubts.. I just really would do anything to make this work and I've heard many mixed things about long distance. |

We have been out of college a few years and while we don't talk nearly as often, when we do it feels important. For example, he was talking to me about hating his car, and I told him that the guy I know wouldn't settle for something less than he wanted. A week later he was driving a new car he loves. Or I will tell him I did something and he will talk about it with pride to our other friends. We both have very strong personalities, but it allows us not to steam roll each other. And when we have important conversations the respect and admiration we have for one another is palpable. He currently has a girlfriend he has been with for two years. I have never met her, and he will rarely bring her up in conversation, and acts jealous when I am around/talk about other guys. Recently he's started mentioning what he would do if he was single again, then mentioning the fact that he doesn't want to be alone (he recently had a big birthday). A large part of who I am is because of his influence in my life over the years. I want him to be happy and if it's his girlfriend then I'm all for it, but if he's only with her to not be alone, then I want him to know that I can be an option. Telling him could mean the end to one of the most important relationships I've had over the past 7 years, but we've had a lot of missed opportunities and I don't want their to be another. |

I was already staying over in his room multiple times and have slept their and stayed over he's 37 years old and I'm only 19. A day prior I grabbed his room key spare key off his front desk I was upset at him and made an impulsiley dumb descion because I wanted to stay in his room and sleep there I made a joke about it he went off and I got hurt I couldnt understand why he would be okay with me being naked in his room using his shower and we had only been together 2 1/2 months. But wouldnt let me stay in his room and sleep I was going through a depressive phase due to my family not liking him. After the argument I took the key, out of pain then I started to feel bad and I didn't know how to bring it up to him I ask my mom for advice she said just keep it and explain it to him after you give him the gift. Then We had this Argument and he said **** you its over, I got so mad I told him you wouldnt here the last of me and I still had the key in my possession (which I forgot) I got so mad at what he said I went and left. Eventually, the gifts came I unclocked went into his room and left them on a bed with a pretty note. A few hours later when he came back from work he saw the gifts on the beds and was furious and said "I'd like my key" I gave it back to him. And he went off on me saying he couldnt trust me anymore and was engraged didn't mean to hurt him |

| Posted: 18 Jun 2017 09:06 PM PDT Two weeks ago, I started talking to this girl on Tinder. We hit it off for a few days and decided to move to Snapchat. However, that seemed to be our downfall. For the next 10 days, we snapped, but something just went wrong. She talked about herself a lot, constantly deviated the conversation in her direction and often ignored my questions to her about her day. Here and there, she asked about what I was doing. That's not the point, though. I tried holding multiple conversations with her, but her response time gradually increased, even though she still seemed somewhat interested. One night, we were having our best talk yet, and I asked her if she wanted to meet up, and she said yes (we discussed a few details on it afterward). The next day, we had another good day. However, that night, her response times just started getting larger and larger. They've gone from 1 hour, to 2, 3, 4 and even 6 sometimes. She still talks to me like she has interest, but the response times are just thwarting us from having an actual conversation, and I've grown tired of the constant length between messages. Is it time to drop talking to this girl? Or is there something I'm missing that should make me wait this out? |

I felt like there was this instant connection that hit me like a train. While there is a 6 year age gap, me being 20, that didn't stop us from becoming close. Everyone we work with noticed it right away, and I couldn't help but develop the strongest of feelings for him that I have ever experienced in my life. Over the past few months, my love and admiration for him has grown. I have the biggest soft spot for him, and he never fails to make me laugh. Our families are very similar, and our goals for our lives beautifully align. We're able to confide in each other, rely on each other, and calm each other down when things get rough. His presence makes my day, and I just have this odd feeling about him. I feel like he's just supposed to be in my life somehow, and I literally pray that we end up together. He's everything I have ever wanted in a man, and I would be so incredibly proud to introduce him to my family. The thing is though, that we are not together despite having multiple people asking why we aren't. He makes me nervous because he's kind of a man whore. He talks about wanting to settling down, but I know he's not ready. I know him so well, and there are days where I become so negative about this situation.
