I know that once you get married that, your primary family will be the one that you and your spouse create together and thus that should be your focus. But, I am just someone that believes in the power and unconditional love of family. I don't know if I just had bad examples but I just want to believe that I can still maintain that closeness and bond with my family even though I'm moving on with my life. My husband who has his share of anger issues and is verbally abusive,mentally, and financially abusive in front of our son whenever he feels like it wants to drive our son from NC to Wisconsin for his grandma's 804th birthday party. I'm if I'm able to get off work yet to go, the mother in me even though he's with his father doesn't want my baby to go that far, 16 hours without me. He gets car sick riding shorter distances and my husband is a neat dream and got upset last time he threw up in his car.
