I joined the marching band and made my first and best friend there, who's a senior. We have hung out many times and talk a lot. He introduced me to his sibling's friends and I've hung with them a lot too. As of late he's been dating a girl in my grade from the group. They were sexually active, and during the latest encounter, he apparently held her for too long when she wanted to change positions, by her account. She was on top at the time. I asked him if this was true, and he tells me that he never tried to force her in any way. After this event they still enjoyed each others company, and it looked as if nothing had happened. The girl has a friend who doesn't like my friend and backs her in this ordeal, which leads me to assume that she convinced her to believe that what he did was wrong at a later time. I trust my friend, but I see that if he is lying, he is only trying to cover himself up. This is involving a sexual matter, meaning the only witnesses were the accuser and the accused, so the truth is unpredictable. I am closer friends with him than they are, so I wanted to ask questions to determine who was telling the truth. When I asked them, they automatically assumed I was siding with "a rapist" and kicked me out of the friend group, but not after calling me stupid and close minded. Now I am left with only "a rapist" as a friend. I was only trying to avoid lies and find truth. What should I do? |

There was a nasty rumor spread about her, and I wanted to let her know about it because she has the right to know. However, when I told her the rumor, she said it didn't bother her, but she wanted to know the person who told it to me. She said she didn't want to talk to or confront them or anything, but to simply avoid them. The person who told me isn't my friend, but I still didn't want to expose him. Telling her this, she kept getting more mad and was demanding the person's name, but I kept telling her no. I believe her that she won't confront them, but I personally don't expose people, regardless what they say. Now, she's mad at me and refuses to talk to me at all. What do I do to solve this problem? The reason for this to my parents is since all my friends are older being 16 and 17 that all they want is sex. They think I am going to get raped or murdered. I am a lot more mature than my age suggests. I asked to go to the movies or out to eat with one of my guy friends. I said that I had absolutely no issue with them meeting him like they do all my friends. They said I was not allowed in the car with any boy. This to me seems a bit ridiculous. They have an app to track me on my phone to see which streets and area I am on at all times so I don't see the problem since I'd be in a public place the whole time. This really upsets me that they don't trust me to make the right decisions. I've always been a good kid, I don't act out, I've never really gotten in trouble maybe sometimes for an attitude that's it though They said they trust me but not boys. Nothing would happen when in a public place. My parents said they could drive both of us to the movies, then sit in the parking lot for us to finish. But I don't wanna be babysat. All I am asking is for some freedom. I know they'll always see me as their baby. They don't want to see me grow up. I get it. But at the same time, you can't keep your kid sheltered their whole life it leads to resentment. How do I make them see that I know they mean well, but that I can make good decisions myself now? I know they are just trying to protect me. Telling me that doesn't help my situation I already know that. Them trying to "protect" me has resulted in me having no social life whatsoever. I just want to hang out with my friends just like everybody else. And what is even more unfair is that my little brother is allowed to hang out with friends outside of the house. As well as my sister had the freedom to at 16 and was allowed to go to the mall with friends at 14, which I am not even allowed to do. |

He wanted my Facebook so I gave it to him. We'd talk sometimes on Facebook and he'd like my photos but after a few weeks of not talking (because I was too busy to use facebook) he deleted me, I never noticed until he re added me. His sisters hate me and are really jealous because ones divorced with a kid and the others married to an elderly man because she's so desperate. When I was there with him they clearly showed they despised me without even giving me a chance. I think they're jealous because they're fat and ugly and all their brothers liked me but my brothers didn't like them. Could it be them that deleted me to cause trouble? Should I just ask him? But today I was in the area near where they live for something but I didn't see them. Would they be purposefully trying to avoid us to be careful so they don't bump into us, if they had reported us for harassment a while back?Sometimes it's happened before that people they fell out with they avoid going down certain roads to avoid bumping into them. |

Though with me he most of the time doesn't get like that. When we greet he is unemotional. We go out, he talks with everyone else joking around hugging etc but with me he might forget I stand next to him. I've spoken to him, told him that he does that and asked him why he behaves like that and if he doesn't consider me as much a friend as I do but he reassured me that it's nothing like that and that he didn't even realise he does that. He tries to make things right, asks to spend time together and do things. I'm a bit more reserved as a person but very caring and expressive towards my friends too and I like to joke around so I want to think it's not that I block him so much with my attitude. Also, mind you, that he is very enthousiastic with everyone he likes, from a person he just met to a good friend, except me. What is going on? I feel he has become very clingy in the last 12-24 months. I feel like I'm bullied into meeting up or doing things because he wants to, or if I cancel or forget, the fallout gives me panic attacks. I don't think he has other friends anymore. I moved about 12 months ago to another state. I invited him to stay once. And he tried inviting himself when it didn't suit and I told him so. However, he has invited himself again over Christmas and I am so anxious and can't wait to get it over with. He is texting me almost constantly, and never seems to be hanging out with anyone. Right or wrong, i did confide some very personal repationship issues i was having at the time, and he did help me through with good advice. However? I think he is in love with me deep down, and can be jealous of my time with my family and SO. This is not me having a big head. I genuinely don't believe myself to be anything special. I need help. How do I politely taper off the friendship after this visit with minimum fallout? She said she didn't, and that was ok with me! BUT she told her parents about the letter and showed them, now they don't want us hanging out cause I'm a fag. In October she asked me to homecoming, as a couple. The feelings for her came back, but 2 days before homecoming she ditched me for some guy and told me she didn't really wanna go as a couple and that she only said that to make me happy. I was heartbroken. We're still friends though. She is a really sweet person but she sometimes doesn't think before doing things. Now I'm scared to tell her personal stuff. Is that wrong? |

Back when my parents had me do cub scouts, I was the only scout who didn't plop themselves on top of someone and start wrestling or running around. I am normally quiet, and my parents make me go to the Mormon church where everyone is really talkative and always touch me (I can't say stop because then I get in trouble). I don't feel lonely ever, or feel the need to fit in, I just feel different from most fifteen year olds. I don't do stupid stunts, take big risks, or anything like that. I still see people at school, church, and scouts and I see them punching each other and shoving one another off chairs and laughing. I just don't get it. The world seems just so uncivilized to me and I just don't feel at home anywhere. I don't want to fit in or anything but I feel like I am not born in the right world. Is it just because I'm an introvert or is it more than that? |

| Question: I believe my roommate maybe sabotaging my food, what should I do? Posted: 03 Dec 2017 06:43 PM PST I just am going to give a background as to why I believe this as comparative to my last question. Basically me and this roommate been having some very serious tension lately. Both of us just simply hate each other. Now the other day me and him got into an argument, I have my stuff in the fridge a certain way and when I came back it was all disarrayed, still being on the same self but I know for a fact they were touched and moved. How should I deal with this? Before you say it's not being sabotaged, if you saw how tense it was, you would understand. Basically what should I do..? Should I confront him? Or what?
