Question: How can I get people to stop using me for money? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:55 PM PDT Ok so my dad started working for microsoft about 2 years ago. I don't want to say what he does there but he makes a lot of money.. way more than he did before. We used to be really poor but now we are upper middle class. Back when my dad wasn't making a lot of money I actually had real friends or at least I thought I did. Now they all use me or try to get me to give them money or buy them things. The most common thing they do is invite me to the mall then when we go around shopping they tell me they left their money at home and ask me to buy them stuff. I told my dad and he offered to introduce me to some of his co workers kids and see if we hit it off. I'm really shy and I like to stay in my comfort zone that's pretty much why I haven't made an effort to ditch the friends I have and find new ones. I only have 2 real friends that like me for me and not the stuff I have. What should I do?
Question: I need to contact her for the last time??? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:52 PM PDT Hey guys, I had a really good friend back in the day and she would take a bullet for me. But one day she got mad at me because I lied to her, I lied because I didnt want her to get hurt in her relationship (long sorry). We had a bad argument, and she blocked me. I was trying to apologize and I kept trying to talk to her, but she contacted the police out of anger, and I was asked to leave her alone by the police. It's been 8 months since we talked, I really need to contact her one last time but I'm scared to get in trouble. What shall I dooo????? I've been missing her like crazy lately

Question: I don't understand my friend? What does she want? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:44 PM PDT My friend and her ex bf tried being friends after the breakup, she didn't let him move on properly and kept calling, wanting to hangout/have sex and even tried to get back together. After a while, he put his foot down and rejected her advances. A few months later, he tried to get in touch with her, assuming they were friends, and she was really nasty to him and said all kinds of cruel and antagonistic things. He finally confronted her about the times she used him as a spare while she played the field, it was a vicious call. She sent him a e-mail apologizing telling him that she still cared about him a lot, how she was truly sorry for all of the things she told him that she was going through stuff at the time. He called her back, she told him that she missed him. She told him that she still felt a strong connection with him, yet downplayed their relationship attributing it to being 'young and naive' and that she liked some things about their relationship. She also told him how she was interested in hook ups with random people. But at the end of the phone call, he wished her good luck and happiness in life and told her goodbye. She told him that he could call whenever he wanted to talk, but he didn't respond to her offer, and just said 'bye.' After she told him bye, she stood on the line until he hung up. I honestly feel that her ex bf did the right thing. Who wants to be used? Who wants to still be friends with someone who put them through all of that? I feel like she was just going to use him as a spare/security blanket while she played the field again. Her past behavior exemplified this. Even though she said that the relationship because they were 'young and naive', yet she 'really cared a lot about him' and couldn't seem to let him go and feeling devastated when he finally said goodbye. Was she just trying to keep him on hold?
Question: EX BEST GUY FRIEND taking SCREENSHOTS of me on snapchat??!!? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:43 PM PDT Recently, maybe over a month ago, I ended my friendship with my ex best friend. He ended our friendship first but after a while we ended up somewhat talking and considering ourselves friends. However he is abusive and manipulative, and he took away my confidence so I decided to fully end the friendship. Well, we still have each other on social media, we just don't talk. On my snapchat today, I posted a video of one of my musical.ly's (lip-syncing video) and he took screenshots. I also posted a pic and he took a screenshot of that too. Also, yesterday I had already posted musical.ly's on my snap but I didn't have the videos on my musical.ly account. The app sent me a notification saying he checked my profile the same day AFTER he saw my video on snapchat. He used to take screenshots of me when we were friends and I think it was pretty obvious he had feelings for me when we were best friends. But I didn't mind it then cause we were besties and ya just do that. But NOW when our friendship is over?? Wtf! Why would he do that?
Question: Was my dumper jealous? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:02 PM PDT He messaged me "don't talk to my friends again b*tch" he's never called me names before. And he said "what the f*ck is wrong with you. I know you messaged (his friends name)" I said "I messaged your friend ONE TIME and it was A WHILE ago" ex then blocked me and later apologized. Was he jealous?
Question: How to survive being alone (read description pls)? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 04:29 PM PDT I'm 17 and I've never been a person who has had luck with friends. I guess you could say that I just always ended up the wrong people. I'm a nice person and I have tried to not be so alone. I used to not be okay with having no one and now I've accepted it. It's just kind of hard to be on my own because of being in high school. I'm not very open to reaching out to people during this time of my life because of past betrayal. Sometimes I get extremely lonely and sad. I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to deal with these feelings? Thanks.
Question: What should I get my BFF for Hanukkah? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 04:04 PM PDT My best friend is Jewish and every year I get her a Hanukkah gift every year, and she gets me a Christmas gift. Last year, I went a little overboard so she set a price limit ($45). She's buying me a set of books because we're both avid readers, but I really don't know what to get her! I want it to be special but not cheesy! Just something that is important!! So here's a few things about her to help: -she's super smart -she's very competitive -she's girly So I hope you can help me!!
Question: Need advice pls:!! Why does she miss me when she has a boyfriend? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 03:50 PM PDT There's a coworker of mine who we've been good friends for 9 years. The last year we stopped being friends bc her boyfriend wasn't comfortable with our friendship. Recently she came up to me and told me she feels uncomfortable and misses our friendship. Then she sends me an email saying she got a new phone and not all of her contacts transferred over. Is it possible to be uncomfortable? What does this mean? Thanks
Question: 30 year old man online has been asking for nudes for weeks and I keep saying no? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 03:48 PM PDT I've asked him to stop and explained jt in countless ways as to why I won't do it and don't even have the desire to. He says its my fault cause I teased and flirted at the start of our conversations. Yes I understand my parr in this. I asked his forgiveness. I am a Christian and I do regret flirring and teasing which I did mindlessly but now I am smarter and realize how harmful it is to both parties. I told him I just want his friendship without the flirting and sexual stuff. He keeps pushing the issue even if just in a joking way or whatever. I do want his friendship, I like his personality aside from that rubbish. I have fun talking to him and he has said similar about me. The thing is I don't want to end up breaking down from him pushing the issue. I know I'm only human and am weak at times. What tips can you give me to how to stay firm? Thanks
Posted: 07 Oct 2017 03:15 PM PDT Collecting answers from good friends for a surprise for someone, but I'm running out of questions. Some questions I have asked are: - Who would you bet money on in a battle: (name) or a goat? Why? - You are walking in a desert and encounter a wild (name). What would you do to appease them so that they would not eat you alive? - What is a memory you have of (name) that they probably don't remember?

Is he just flirting and he is being friendly? or does he like me... I can't tell |

Question: How do I make friends? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 02:02 PM PDT I'm not very good at it, people think I'm weird. I'm homeschooled too.
Question: Help me find my way? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 01:59 PM PDT I'm almost 20 and I have been away from the 'crowd' since long ago. I had some friends long ago when I was a kid, but I've lost them all one by one, and now I'm alone, where everybody around me knows everybody around them. I've got no girlfriend and I never had one. I admit it, I was a little proud and it would took me only a single mistake to remove somebody from my life, until I ran out of people to remove and was forced to stop already. I've got 2 friends who are both living in other two countries and I see them only twice a year. I go to university, and girls like to stare at me and stuff like that (cause I'm tall maybe), but I act like I am used to it and I never actually approach one of these girls.. I spend the rest of my time at home, playing games and coding a bit. I am not involved into any sport because/and I simply su*k at everything, and I am too afraid to give it a shot because people judge a lot. I don't have the courage to meet people from my town as well. The first or the second question would be "I've never seen you around, who are your friends?".. I am sick of this problem, it's killing me from inside and I know I have to do something but I never do.. Maybe it's okay to be away from the crowd, but only if you are doing something you think it's right, and I'm doing nothing, I'm just lost.....
Question: Is it rude to avoid my friend’s boyfriend? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 01:35 PM PDT does it seem messed up to avoid hanging out with them? i tried hard to like him for my friend's sake but i just don't like him for reasons i won't delve in to. it's just whenever we're around each other, even though we've seen each other multiple times, it's painfully awkward. sometimes i wonder if i'm not putting in enough effort though? is it like an unspoken rule that you need to third wheel with them at least every once in a while?
Question: Is it bad that i don’t want to see my friend’s other friends? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 01:32 PM PDT my friend invited me to hang out with her other group of friends that i don't really know but i honestly don't want to go? i don't want to be rude but the only person i know is my friend and she may be occupied with other people and i don't want to be alone. they're not really the kind of people i would gravitate towards if i'm honest so do you think i'm justified in staying out or was it rude to decline?

Question: Do people bully others because of jealousy? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 12:44 PM PDT My classmates and I are all new and just started a post-graduate program. This older female classmate seems to dislike me because of something....recently we had an outdoor class activity and she said to another teammate in front of my face, "I want to see if she can jump up and smell the leaves. She seems pretty obedient right?". My response was, "How about you try it first and then maybe I'll do it?".

| Posted: 07 Oct 2017 12:00 PM PDT I wasn t a bully or anything like that, but I remember being overly sarcastic and stuff, and a bunch of people apparently thought I hated them and thought I was mean. | Question: Should I terminate my friendship with Tyler if he disrespected Bob Marley? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 11:55 AM PDT He just insulted Bob Marley |
Question: Will my friends give me another chance? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 11:42 AM PDT I am a 45 year old woman from india who is a lawyer and has been in the country for 20 years. I am 6'7 320 pounds. My height, weight, and cultural differences made dating impossible. After years of activley pursuing men im still a virgin at 45. I befriended 3 white attractive females in their 20s who are 6'0-6'2 and are are all taller than their boyfriends. I was friends with them for 2 years, and we became very close, and i was like their older friend they looked up to, for advice and was their role model. I was also friends with their boyfriends, who were very attractive. I would sneakily, touch myself while watching them have sex with their boyfriends. I also had been touching their boyfriends, it started with feeling their muscles, but then escalated to feeling their asses and crotch. The girls talked to me and said that i betrayed their trust, and I overstepped my boundaries and they dont want to speak to me again. I know what i did was wrong, is their a way to apologize, and revive my friendship.
Question: Why don't my friends care about me like I do for them? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 11:03 AM PDT So my friend is depressed, and I always ask how her days is and I always listen to her problems and give her advice is she ever has a problem. I check up on her to make sure she's okay. I always give her a birthday present, and I just treat her well and she's said I'm a good friend for listening to her when she's sad. But when I opened up to her that I was depressed and suicidal and had selfharm issues, she just laughed at me and makes fun of whatever I do. Like if I'm standing a certain way like standing against the wall she'll get all mad at me saying "Why do you stand like that? It's weird." Or if she sees me wearing a necklace or a beanie hat she'll be like "Seriously? You're wearing a necklace? Why?" And she thinks that my depression is my fault and she just doesn't care about me. She never even gets me a birthday present or even a card. She found out I selfharm and she just got mad at me. She thinks that feeling depressed about my dad being abusive and witnessing my parents fighting is MY fault. It just really hurts that I care about people jut they never care about me back.
Question: Why won't my friend admit that her depression is her fault? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 10:46 AM PDT My friend is 15 and I keep finding these faded scars all over her arms. I ask her what they are and she lies and says her cat scratches her a lot. And then she was upset about how she lister friend to cancer so she told me about it. What can I do about that? And then she comes to me telling me how her dad is afraid of her and that he's a drug addict and that he says he never wants to see her. She also thinks she's a lot like her father and that she's a coward like him. She fears that she'll become just like him because they like the same things with music and food, and other stuff. Her dad was a nice guy when he was younger but as he got older he became mean and addicted to drugs, so she's afraid she'll be like him when she's older. And she says she scares people and hurts them just because she exists. She has these little cuts on her throat. Why doesn't she just stop being like her dad then? It's her own fault she's like this, she made herself. She's CHOOSING to be like him. She said she wasn't and that she wishes she wasn't like him but she can't control the way she feels. Im the one who's really depressed, not her.
Question: Help!! My friend is becoming a bully? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 10:38 AM PDT My friend has always been known as the shy guy and he was an introvert. He never used to really talk at all but he was still my best friend. He only spoke to me at school. All of a sudden he changed. Now he talks in class, he argues with teachers, he bullies other people and now he is even starting to bully me. He always tries to be funny now and he talks loud now. He always gets in trouble now. He was never like this. He is also making new friends and he is starting to not talk to me anymore because of this. Isn't that so weird how he just changed? Do you think i should stop talking to him for good or should i lecture him or something? I really miss the old him.
Posted: 07 Oct 2017 10:24 AM PDT My friend suddenly wanted help from me and i helped him. Then i went with him to a class in university early. He suddenly starts telling me to go away several times rudely. I ask him whats happening and keeps telling me to go away and starts saying it loudly so other people can hear and make me shy. I left. We've been very close friends for 2 years and he just broke my heart honestly. The next day i told him why he did that and he says he had a private tutor coming and he was shy about it. I dont know whether i should forget about it and stay normal friends with him or what because the way it happened just made me go from very happy to very sad. Ideas?
Question: What do you think of this ? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 09:44 AM PDT This girl added me on Facebook I don't know who she is or why she added me she has some of my wife's friends as mutal friends but I don't know her. She said she's 25 she's dating an actress who is 83 years old. She said she doesn't look like she's that old she still looks 30 or 40. I don't know why but she sent me a picture of her she is kind of pretty for her age. I don't know who the actress is I never heard of her. She's not acting anymore she use to be on a tv show in the 60's. She had a daughter from her previous marriage. This lady is old enough to be her grandma if she wasn't famous that would be weird. I guess it's ok if she's a celebrity. She also watched her show growing up so she said she's her idol I don't know how she met her or got to be with her I don't think I wanna know. In a way I'm kind of jealous of her but also I'm a way I think it's kind of weird. She said they been together for 3 years. She said they are gonna get married one day. What do you think of that ? Is that weird ?

Posted: 07 Oct 2017 09:14 AM PDT I feel like my mind prioritizes useless **** and can't even remember to take my books off of my desk and into my backpack when a period ends. I say stupid things that I really regret saying when I raise my hand answering a question, or if a teacher calls on me for an answer and I didn't do my homework, and then the teacher practically shames me for it. What's wrong with me? Why is this happening? How can I turn this around? Can I even turn this around?

| Question: Was I Rude and does it seem like I was waiting for my friend to invite me over? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 08:05 AM PDT My friend is 5 years older than me and she has a toddler. The toddler really likes me and I enjoy spending time with them. While my friend was going to drop me off home, the toddler facetimed my friend and saw me. The toddler asked if I was coming over excitedly. I didn't want to disappoint the toddler so I kind of laughed and didn't know what to say for a second and my friend just said to the toddler that she's dropping me off home. Was I Rude for not saying anything and my friend had to say it? Does it seem like I was waiting for my friend to invite me also? Am I overthinking? | Question: Buying birthday gifts when they never get you one? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 07:12 AM PDT Okay so, it was recently my siblings birthday, and they want something somewhat pricey, and honestly, I'm somewhat upset right now. It seems that whenever it's their birthday, I get them what they want, but when it comes to my birthday, they really don't care. Two years ago I brought them shopping and let them choose what they liked, and last year I bought them really expensive clothing because they told me they really wanted it, and they never ended up wearing it... For my birthday, they've gotten me lush, which is great, starbucks... and fake nails... overall, I find myself spending so much on their presents and trying to make sure they get what they want, and in return, I end up getting so little, that isn't even well thought of. The starbucks drink and the fake nails... I got those a month after my birthday, A MONTH. I just don't know if I should get them a present at this point, they don't seem to appreciate it. |

We FaceTime almost every night and we hang out a lot, but she's been talking to this other girl a lot, and she recently called this girl her bestfriend. She used to say that I was her best friend, but I don't think she likes me anymore. It's been making me really upset; I've always been there for her, but now I feel like if this person wanted to hang out with her then she would ditch me. I honestly feel like she would throw me under the bus for this person. I know we still FaceTime and talk a lot, but I feel like I'm not her best friend anymore. |
| Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:57 AM PDT I've been friends a long time with someone (since school and we are mid 40's now) Basically we don't see each other too much anymore but have always remained in contact at least She organised a night out and I was going until I became poorly with a bug. There was a group chat about the evening and I've been deleted from it since texting my friend about being unable to go. In my text I apologised for being unable to make the night out but hope to arrange a meet up with her soon. She read the message days ago and has never replied (then I got deleted from the group chat too) She always replies to me the same day. Shall I just presume friendship is over? | Question: I think an acquaintance likes me, how do I shut it down? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:47 AM PDT I've been going to a meetup.com group and there's a guy there who I think likes me... On a few occasions he's stood too close to me, I've been shrugging it off as a result of the alcohol (as we all meet in bars and nightclubs for this meetup) but it's getting really uncomfortable for me. A few months back this guy seemed unhappy about my kissing someone in the nightclub we'd all gone to, in fact the someone I was kissing even made a comment about this, and the guy went home early. He messaged me via meetup.com the other day apologizing for not being on a night out with the meetup group, as he'd said he'd be there and buy me a drink, but he then went on to continue the conversion - obviously it could be innocent, but it feels like he's trying to make something happen. I've ZERO INTEREST, but I don't want to jump to conclusions and tell him straight out as it would be awkward. I'd like to be friends with him, but that's it. |
Question: How do I try to make new friends? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:46 AM PDT I'm in my thirties and currently out of work - yes yes, I'm trying to work on that but it's due to barriers like disability - I do some volunteer work but so far not much opportunity to make friends. I want to go to university but that won't be until next year now, in the mean time I'm going to try to do part-time college courses - but most people who go on these courses are younger people. I try to avoid staying in the house all day: I go to the gym, I walk into town for coffee, I'd go to the park to read, I look locally for free events (there's not much: small city), but it's winter so options are limited now. In any situation there's little chance to meet, talk, and build relationships anyway. I do use meetup.com - I try to go to meetups but not too often due to limited budget, even then I'm missing how you progress from talking to someone at a meetup and progressing to friendship.
Question: Weird roommate behavior? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 05:09 AM PDT My roommate signed a month-to-month lease in July and he said he would be move in August. He hasn't yet, and it's October. However, that is not my concern since he has been paying rent and staying elsewhere. Lately, he's been bringing different girls over and showing them the apartment and moving things in little by little. What's going on? Your comments are helpful guys!

Question: Why do people do this!? It's infuriating? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 03:20 AM PDT Whenever they have a problem with you (i.e. You did something to upset them or they just genuinely don't like you), they don't tell you. They just ignore you and act really cold/stand-offish around you. Then tell EVERYBODY else about their issue with you and how horrible they think you are, and you're the last to hear about it. I understand this is common in Elementary School, but with adults? Simply ridiculous.
Question: Is it normal to hide in the school toilets at break and lunch? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 02:14 AM PDT It's not that I don't have any friends or that I'm getting bullied, but I find socialising really boring and it's more comfortable for me to just lock myself in the toilets at break and lunch and go on my phone. Break is only twenty minutes and lunch is 40 minutes, so in one school day I only get maximum an hour of breaktime, and that's including moving between lessons. I just can't be bothered to find people to socialise with, and I really do prefer being by myself most of the time. In the toilets, I go on my phone and look through social media, watch TV shows or sometimes I just fall asleep because I'm so tired. I drop the toilet lid down and sit on it. Is this normal or am I weird?
Question: Why do I feel this way ? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 12:56 AM PDT About 2 years ago me and my friends got separated because we went to different schools. We used to be big friends and I loved them. During the 2 years we talked on and off on facebook or twitter. I never really met them again and i got lonely but at the end i accapted the fact the we had to go on our own way. Few days ago one of them told me that she dropped out of school and this year she's coming to the same school as me. I was ok with it ? I don't know i just wasn't excited about it. Yesterday I met her on the bus and told me that our other friend is aswell coming to the same school as me as she failed her exams to go to uni so she's changing schools. I was not happy at all and I don't know why. I got so used to not see them that I just kind of don't want to. I know it sounds bad and I still talk to them and all but not like how we used to. It's just akward. I wasn't thrilled about it at all and i don't know why.
Question: Where do wealthy teens/young adults hang out? And how do I befriend them? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 12:45 AM PDT Where do the children of millionaires and billionaires hang out? And how would I befriend them? The reason why I ask isn't because I'm a gold digger. Yes, spending time on yachts and drinking champagne would be nice, but that's not what I'm after. I ask this because I want to become like the company I keep. Your friends and acquaintances in life influence what you do and the decisions you make. If you see your friends achieving success and living the good life, you'll want to do the same. I'm not in la la land, I know that wealthy heirs and heiresses wouldn't want to hang out with an everyday person. But, I plan to be successful in life, and have a prominent career plan for the next decade of my life. I know I'm probably being unrealistic, but living a life of conformity rarely gets results. And also, I've been told by many people that I'm exceptionally attractive. Not to be superficial, but maybe that will help in attracting friends? Honest and blunt answers please. Thanks 😊
Question: Why do people not care about their grades? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 12:37 AM PDT My group and I agreed to meet with prof to ask questions, but it ended up only being me. (It was initially my idea). One had to leave because of family matter. Another had to leave 30 minutes before because she didnt eat breaksfast and felt like fainting....but she was perfectly able to meet with one of her other groups before telling me that.
Question: What's wrong with my friend? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 12:35 AM PDT My friend and her ex bf tried being friends after the breakup, she didn't let him move on properly and kept calling, wanting to hangout/have sex and even tried to get back together.

Question: Should smartphones and ipads be age restricted? (17-18+? Posted: 06 Oct 2017 11:08 PM PDT I feel like alot of kids dont need no iphones at the age of 10-17 or so. Its dumbing down the society everybody seems to only care about what they look like, followers etc. Kids should think about other stuff than that stupidity. Its like life nowadays is just a photo oppritunity and everyone wants to take a pic of everything they do and look good on it to have some type of standards! This world, life is so unnatrual these days everything is so computer influced.. we will probably be robots in 100 years or so... sad... sorry for mispellings, i wrote it kind of fast and didnt get to re-read or edit it before posting it. But you understand my point, right?
Question: My best friends mom slapped my ***? Posted: 06 Oct 2017 10:51 PM PDT So me and my friend are both 16, and he has a single mom who s in her mid 30 s. I ve known him for like 3 years and I always hang out with him at his house. Due to this, me and him talk to and joke around with his mom occasionally. She s talked to me on several different occasions, and we have some natural chemistry. Recently when I was outside waiting for my friend to find his basketball, she walked up behind me and gave me a nice slap right on the ***, after that we both smiled at each other. She then asked me about school like what she just did never happened, I had a very visible ***** she probably saw too. Although she s hot, I would never seriously consider getting with my friends mom. Although, Is it wrong for me to genuinely want her to slap my *** again? Like it s been two weeks and she hasn t done it, our chemistry is the same. I m honestly kind of disappointed.
