Question: Is this considered a fake "bestfriend?"? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 05:05 PM PDT So my "bestfriend," hasn't been texting me back at all BUT has been doing streaks with me. I sent her a message on Saturday, she didn't respond, but sent streaks throughout the day and so on. So then I texted her on Wednesday and asked her a question about college application deadlines, and she didn't respond BUT sent streaks throughout the entire day. So the next day, after she sent a streak, I sent her a snap and asked her to check her messages. She replies with "oh the deadline is November 3rd," no apologizes for ignoring me for 5 days straight. So.. does this mean that she doesn't want to talk to me anymore even though I'm supposed to be her "bestfriend?" Is what she's doing considered rude? Should I just cut her off completely? Idk what to do, because I'm such a nice person and I feel like it'll be petty if I do something rude back. What should I do?
Question: Why did my friend care I slept with her co-worker, when she has slept with them? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 04:53 PM PDT At my friend's work, it is OK to sleep with co-workers. They binge drink together, and have done cocaine together. My friend told me she has hooked up with multiple co-workers, and the guy I was with said she gets around. Her co-worker was into me, and we spent 3 days straight together. He ends up blowing his budget and spent a bunch of money on me, and my friend says I should pay him half, and I encouraged her co-worker to skip work. He was really upset he blew his budget, so I did agree to send him some money. I thought she was trying to be a good co-worker, but I started to think that she was secretly into him and jealous? I don't understand how talking to him about the girl he was sleeping with is a co-worker's duty. I texted him a bunch pissed off about something, and my friend goes and tells a mutual friend that i "texted someone at work 50 times and it was insane" maybe she is just super insecure? i don't get how she has literally slept with her co-workers and how she cares so much, maybe she has a bad reputation or was into him? I feel taken advantage of, I feel like she was trying to impress him or was into him, and I thought she had genuine concern
Question: I feel like I lost my ability to make friends? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 04:22 PM PDT I'm in my last year of college and I don't have friends. I used to be good at making new friends when I was in high school, but for some reason I just lost my mojo along the way and now I feel terrible at socializing and completely unable to connect with anyone on any kind of personal level. I feel like I always make people uncomfortable or on-edge whenever I try talking to them, like I just don't know how to incite even slightly positive responses out of anyone. I feel like I miss out on social cues, I start sentences without knowing how to finish them, and overall i'm just very socially awkward...and as a result most people pretty much avoid me or they act subtly rude towards me. I observe other people having playful interactions full of laughter and positivity, and it's like they're speaking in another language to me. I just don't understand it. Even some of my old friends, I've kinda lost touch with them because we just started drifting apart. I used to have great conversations with some of my friends and I would feel totally comfortable around them, like I could say or talk about anything and it wouldn't matter, but for the past few years I struggle to have that feeling with anyone. My most recent interactions with my friends were just full of awkwardness and discomfort. Anybody else have this problem?

Question: Should you just ignore passive aggressive bullies? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 04:03 PM PDT It's not physical but verbal bullying. I feel like they have no respect for me, but if I insult them back then it'll start drama. I hate fights. Plus they're usually really passive aggressive so it's hard to insult back and not look like I'm the dramatic one. Any help?
Question: Should they be mad? I feel kind of bad.? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 04:00 PM PDT So me and two of my BFFs were chatting (let's say A and L) and L starts saying that my breasts are HUGE (we're all girls btw). I hate when people say that and I'm like, "no they're not." Then A joins in and they both continue saying stuff about that AND THEY DONT STOP. Then, I say, "well you think that mine are huge because you both are so flat chested". Then L says thats its not funny and A (i guess she was joking?) says eww what a terrible friend who says that and she and L continue saying stuff like that. After that I say again, "well you are flat chested." Then L says, "it's not even funny. just stop. Bye." and A says "yeah. oh and L call me btw". IDK I felt SO LEFT OUT and I really didn't get why they were mad. And now I feel they were serious about the terrible friend part.
Question: What is a true friend? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 03:52 PM PDT What is a true friend? I'm having a hard time finding the definition of one. I have a polish friend and an arabic friend. Both of them went to the same middle school, lived in the same neighborhood (living only a block away from each other) and obviously, are going to the same high school. We are all in our last year of high school. They are my only friends that i do so much together with. However, there are times i feel unhappy when i'm with them. During the summer, they hunged out together without me. I didn't get a call, text, nothing. I felt absolutely hurt that they would do that. I never did that to them or never even thought about it. Their excuse was that my arabic friend was about to move so my polish friend wanted to do something as she and my arabic friend can't hang out like they used to because of the move. What? I live farther than any of them, and again, never thought to hang out with someone else without them knowing. We also have an instagram group chat we like to send funny pictures and videos to each other. However, they sometimes like to instagram each other privately. Who knows what they're talking bout? My arabic friend messaged me that my polish friend was feeling sad but instead she went to my arabic friend and not the group chat so i didn't know anything.
Question: PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!!? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 03:43 PM PDT So my Social Studies Teacher has been showing us this guy who sings history parodies, and my friend H (I'm using the first letter of there name for privacy purposes) was joking at lunch and said "Maybe we could make our own parodies" and my boyfriend too it way to far! He got H,me, and K, to join in with him but we quit because we know that he is going to embarrass himself! Everyone at school calls him gay and this is going to make it worse! The parodies are terrible and people have already started making fun of him. He made one from "Let it Go", about chocolate and he included something about it looking like dog poop in it! Then H commented and said "this is so funny" (to make him feel better) and he said thx, I'm think about making one to "Can't stop the feelin" about FLEAS!!!!!!! And someone commented "this is as cringes as my little pony" and he said that was his goal!!!! We're trying to get him to stop but he won't listen! I really need him to stop because people already make fun of me for dating him!!!!! So not only is he ruining himself even more he is ruining ME!!!!! Please please please help!!!!!
Question: How to get over the fact that people can lie really easily? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 03:34 PM PDT For sum reason it's just hard for em to accept. Even when I see random posts online, I automatically assume the person is being honest. Unfortunately, I've had a lot of people lie to me both online and IRL. If I caught them, they just totally shrugged it off. Like it was nothing. But I also heard them say other things or saw other posts they made and realized they were BSing me. How can I be less trusting and be more skeptical? I don't want to waste my time anymore believing someone or being in a pointless argument. *some *me aha my typing

Question: Need advice pls!! Why does she miss me when she has a boyfriend? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 03:14 PM PDT oes she miss me when she has a boyfriend? There's a coworker of mine who we've been good friends for 9 years. The last year we stopped being friends bc her boyfriend wasn't comfortable with our friendship. Recently she came up to me and told me she feels uncomfortable and misses our friendship. Then she sends me an email saying she got a new phone and not all of her contacts transferred over. Is it possible to be uncomfortable? What does this mean? Thanks
Question: What's it call when a woman hates other women? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 03:06 PM PDT
Posted: 08 Oct 2017 03:04 PM PDT The only problem is that she and I aren't very close and she's been rude to me lately and she is only turning 15. I don't really want to invite her but the problem is all of our friends would have to choose if she has her party on the same day. I know my party is going to be more fun because I'm having a waterslide and luau. Is it too rude to not invite her or should I just put up with it because of our friends?
Question: Is having a subtle lisp really THAT bad? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 02:54 PM PDT Ok so I'm 14 and I'm 9th grade. I geuss I have a little bit of a lisp and I've never had any problems caused by it, no one made fun of me or anything. It really isn't a problem. But my dad thinks people are gonna hate on me for at and that people discriminate against lisps... I don't think so and I wouldn't care anyway. I mean he said I'd get picked on in high school but geuss what after 2 months NOTHING ever happened. So do I really need to worry about it? But it's pretty subtle and I asked my friends and they said they couldnt notice anything.

Question: Should I go to this party or stay home help? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 01:36 PM PDT I was invited last minute to go to this birthday party and idk if I should go. I only truly like 2 of the people going and they are like super close and I'll prob third wheel, the other people I don't take to barely at all and most are on one of my sports teams kinda awkward. I feel like I'll be kinda out of place. But on the other hand I don't want to see all them having fun and regret going later plus I could get closer to these people, or it could get even more awkward lol. Help me make a decision I over think too much.
Question: Why does everyone have a problem with me? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 01:34 PM PDT Whenever something good happens or when im included they hate it. For example, me and 3 of my friends took a normal pic together and this guy from school commented under the pic " ew (my name here)" Also my teacher told me i did good on a test and i heard someone behind me go "ughh I hate her" I didn't even know the person. And at school every time this guy who i dont know at all passes by me he does "ewww" and sometimes he'll cover his eyes. We were in line one time and he looks at me and go "ewwww" and told his friend to stand in front of him. His friend looked confused and asked why he didn't like me or what was wrong with me but he never answered. Then he tells his friend "shes your girlfriend" and laughs
Question: Im tired of anxiety? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 01:02 PM PDT Hello guys my name is Enan. Right so from this text I wanna release some anger and pain that Im going through right now. here I go. So my friends have planned that they will be going to ice skating this weekend. So, I was still unsure if I would go or not, On Friday, the last of school a guy from my class asked if I was gonna go or not. I answered I might go. But at the same time I had a football match which I had to attend to. I told the dude that I had a football match, and my Mom and Dad are quite strict so I had to either choose ice skating or my football match. I told the dude iI could only choose one and I was still unsure. So, I chose my football match over the ice skating plan with my friends. So, later on in the weekend I forgot to text my friends if I could go or not. So as I reached the day of my football match my friends went on and they went Ice skating. After a tiring full 70 minutes match with 2 minutes break I came home. I played on my xbox for a while and I still forgot to text my friends if I was coming or not. On the same day, The guy who I told you about texted me and said why I didnt come and all that stuff. Then they started talking trash and the convo over the limits (another guy joined the fight). They even took screenshots of me saying on the group chat saying "You dont have to invite me next time if you want to". Bottom line: Im anxious because I think I might get in trouble for this. Not to mention I have been suspended 2 times 2 years ago. Guys I forgot to mention that my friends made a group chat. therfore, I was saying that they have screenshots of me saying "You dont have to invite me next time if you want to". This guy took the convo beyond limits and talked about my depression and the reason why because why my life is a piece of ****.
Question: Did her ex bf do the right thing? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 12:36 PM PDT My friend and her ex bf tried being friends after the breakup, she didn't let him move on properly and kept calling, wanting to hangout/have sex and even tried to get back together. After a while, he put his foot down and rejected her advances. A few months later, he tried to get in touch with her, assuming they were friends, and she was really nasty to him and said all kinds of cruel and antagonistic things. He finally confronted her about the times she used him as a spare while she played the field, it was a vicious call. She sent him a e-mail apologizing telling him that she still cared about him a lot, how she was truly sorry for all of the things she told him that she was going through stuff at the time. He called her back, she told him that she missed him. She told him that she still felt a strong connection with him, yet downplayed their relationship attributing it to being 'young and naive' and that she liked some things about their relationship. She also told him how she was interested in hook ups with random people. But at the end of the phone call, he wished her good luck and happiness in life and told her goodbye. She told him that he could call whenever he wanted to talk, but he didn't respond to her offer, and just said 'bye.' After she told him bye, she stood on the line until he hung up. I honestly feel that her ex bf did the right thing. Who wants to be used? Who wants to still be friends with someone who put them through all of that? I feel like she was just going to use him as a spare/security blanket while she played the field again. Her past behavior exemplified this. Even though she said that the relationship because they were 'young and naive', yet she 'really cared a lot about him' and couldn't seem to let him go and feeling devastated when he finally said goodbye. Was she just trying to keep him on hold?

Question: Is it bad for a 14 year old to have sex with 2 people in one year? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 10:50 AM PDT I'm asking because I had a slut as friend and she was 14 with 2 body counts and was talking down on people who had sex at 14 that just had one so it is it bad?
Question: Should I let go of this friendship? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 10:33 AM PDT I've known her for about 12 years. She's 3 years younger (around my sister's age) and I knew her before she befriended my sister. It was always a nice friendship but now I feel that she's way too narrow-minded and ignorant. She's the type who only seems to be friends with people her own age and cultural group. Long story short - it's taken me a while to get my bachelor's degree. I would tell her things about my undergrad and I felt that she didn't seem interested because it wasn't a degree that was popular in the culture we share. I also felt that at times she would be judging me and act as If she were superior to me because she graduated the popular major and has a job in it. When I finally graduated she just asked, "aren't you taking some classes?" (which kind of hurt of me bc I've been talking about it with her the past few years). Then she said, "omg you finally graduated from nursing school." I told her "no". No congratulations, not excited, just "oh". Maybe she was reacting off of my reaction but you would think a friend (whether I am excited or not) would still be thrilled over an accomplishment. She would still be proud despite our difference in major. I just got into grad school for medical IT. I finally decided to share it with her this past week when she wanted to catch up. Her first response, "Oh. Those are the people in the call center us nurses call when we need something done." In my head, "NO! I am not going to grad school to sit and be in a call center!" She finally seemed less judgmental towards me when she said, "oh IT people make a lot of money!" Ugh. We talked about marriage and I told her how my boyfriend (I think) was planning on proposing after I finished my undergrad but now that I'm in grad school, it may delay a bit but I did not mind if he proposed now. She said, "No, I think it's way better to wait until you're done." Just interjected her opinions and I didn't even ask but okay. Am I expecting too much? I would expect my friends to be more consistent, emotionally intelligent/socially aware. One, she wouldn't just "forget" or say I'm "taking classes"; two - wouldn't she be more excited for me? She is w. my younger sister & her life; three - she's socially unaware;not sure if it's an age thing. Age shouldn't be a big deal, as long as you both respect & understand each other mentally. I feel that there's no substance & when she does ask to hang out, it's more of a "fix" than genuinely wanting to know how you're doing
Question: Please help, how do I stop feeling jealous about this? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 10:29 AM PDT I'm 19 years old and I feel so guilty right now. It was my cousin's birthday and he posted all these pictures on social media with his friends and they were celebrating. I felt a twinge of jealousy seeing how his friends and him were really close and had a huge birthday celebration for him. And then there's me who doesn't have many friends which isn't what I really minded. It's that for my birthday, this friend of mine who considers me as a best friend and who I consider as my closest friend said she'll have to give me my birthday present late because she has some bills to pay for which I completely understood. My birthday is at the beginning of July so it's been a couple months but what bothered me is that between my birthday and now, this friend went to get her hair redone, getting it dyed and cut at a salon which was pretty pricey and also she regularly gets her eyebrows done and buys herself a bunch of snacks. I'm so upset at myself for feeling this way and being selfish but I think to myself that she could have put money aside from things like her hair to already give my present and she doesn't really care. What can I do to stop feeling this way?
Question: Do people bully others because of jealousy? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 10:23 AM PDT My classmates and I are all new and just started a post-graduate program. This older female classmate (in her 40s) seems to dislike me because of something....recently we had an outdoor class activity and she said to another teammate in front of my face, "I want to see if she can jump up and smell the leaves. She seems pretty obedient right?". My response was, "How about you try it first and then maybe I'll do it?".
Question: Guys, have you ever been intimidated by a very beautiful woman? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 09:52 AM PDT An intern where I work ask me if I could take her home after work as her car was in the garage. . On the way to her house, she asked if I would join her and her mom for dinner. When she introduced me to her mom, I thought WOW what a beautiful woman. At dinner her mom ask we what I did where we worked and I told her I was in computer support. She ask me if I would look at her computer as she was having a problem getting her email. I checked her computer and it had a virus. I told her I could come back Saturday with virus removal tools and fix her problem. Saturday, as I was working on her computer in her home office, I looked around the walls and there were a lot of pictures of her being crowned Miss XXX from various beauty contests she had won. Would she ever make someone a trophy wife. I thought about asking her for a date but I was too intimidated by her great looks. She could date ANY guy she wanted. After I fixed her computer, she offered to pay me but I told her I don't charge friends for my help. Then she said would you go on dinner date with me so I can show you how much I appreciate what you did for me. WOW. The woman I was afraid to ask for a date ask me for a date. Guys, have you ever been intimidated by a beautiful woman and afraid to ask her for a date?

Question: Would you allow mixed sleepovers? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 06:35 AM PDT I am a 16 year old girl and my best friend is a 16 year old guy. We've been best friends for ages so we've had a couple sleepovers and its never been weird but loads of other people have started to say that you shouldn't have mixed sleepovers at our age as it would be 'sexual', which it never is. If your 16 year old daughter wanted a sleepover with her male friend, what would you think? ok so update: he has a girlfriend btw so we definitely won't do anything sexual but that might be even weirder to some people idk
Posted: 08 Oct 2017 06:24 AM PDT There is this guy in my year who wants to be my friend, he sits next to me in a lot of lessons and he is a bit weird and he self harms so it is scary to do something about it as he might hurt me. Sometimes punches me or hurts me (not too bad but it gets annoying as he is doing it more often) sometimes he starts poking me with a pen. But I don't do anything about it as I don't know what to do and I am a bit quiet. What can I do to stop him following me and get him to stop hurting me?
Question: I just need some advice? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 06:20 AM PDT At the moment things just haven't been going well. All my friends have been together science second grade, but now they are all going different ways. About half are going to the nerd side. They do get picked on a lot, but they are a lot nicer people. The other side my friends are going to the popular kids side. I've started to lean towards that side but I'm still not sure. That is where my best friend is, and where my crush is. Only problem is that they are not the nicest people, they are all jocks, and I am really skinny. Sorry for all the typos. I meant since not science

Question: What to get a 12 year old boy for his birthday? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 04:41 AM PDT My guy friend is turning 12 tomorrow so I'm getting him something but I don't know what, he's Russian and he does figure skating. However, he doesn't have a console at home so a video game isn't an option, I don't know what phone he has either and my friend is getting him candy, so other than those, what can I get him? 40$ at most
Question: Surprise Birthday Party Help.? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 04:25 AM PDT Hi All! I would like to do something special for my husband on his birthday, and I know he would like to have a suprise party once in a lifetime;) The problem is, we recently moved to a new country and don't have many friends here, and his closest friends are in different countries. Would it be too much to ask people to come? We would be able to accommodate 2 or 3 but not everyone (over night). Any thoughts? Or perhaps you have other ideas how I can make his Bday special and not lonely

Then one of my friends said why don't you marry her (which is me). Then I saw him neither of us said hi. Then I saw him again and I didn't said hi and he kept staring at me without looking away the whole time. Maybe if I said hi he would have approached to talk to me right.? Now he thinks am rude or not interested |
Question: Are the Cardassians in Star Trek all evil? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 12:47 AM PDT Literally every single one of these aliens with a speaking role comes off as a blatant sadistic psychopath with no regard for the value of life or the well being of others. Are they all like that, or is there a single canonical Cardassian that is not a total jack@ss?

Question: My best friend and I made out, help? Posted: 08 Oct 2017 12:11 AM PDT So my best friend and I (we're both 16 and boys) decided to have a sleepover, just like every other weekend. We were watching Modern Family in my bed just hanging out and one thing led to another and we started making out. Then making out turned into him giving me a bl0wjob. I'm not gay, at least I don't think I am, and this whole situation has me so confused. What do I do? I'm really confused?

Question: Shoudl I get a new best friend? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 10:49 PM PDT I do love her. But I feel like we are just drifting apart. In my life I want to do a lot of things. Ive been really into my religion, keeping morals, and spreading happiness, but I dont see that in her. lately ive been busy with school and something I noticed in this time is whenevet I cant go somewhere she wants to go shell just find someone else. I mean I understand it, but when she finds someone else its very quick and she doesnt even tell me. To add onto that she always wants to do something! Im fine with it, but we dont even consider the same things fun. Ive been really tired of hanging out just to leave the house, with no purpse. Going out on every friday because she doesnt want to look bad by sitting in the house Sometimes I also feel like shes only friends with me because im a good listener, and because I'm a +1 whenever she wants to do something. What do you think? Should I distance myself? I wsnt to help her, but continuing rhis friendship is only corrupting my character.
Question: Is it uncommon to go visit a college friend and stay overnight? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 10:44 PM PDT We're just friends, nothing exciting is going to happen. Just planning on going for a walk and hanging out. I'm a high schooler and she's a freshman in college, is it weird for me to be sleeping over?
Question: Is it normal to feel slight detachment from people around you? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 10:41 PM PDT Lately I find myself comparing the standards I hold my friendships to to what others are saying, which generally isn't a good idea in any case. The people I talk to insist they could not live without their friends. I have witnessed people breaking down over problems in friendships and I don't feel like I have that close attachment to anyone. I have friends, I have lot a of friends. Friends are easy for me. I know their birthdays, and favorite activities, and all their pet peeves, but if they ceased to exist in my life, I feel like I wouldn't be affected that much. I feel like I would just shrug my shoulders and continue with life. Of course, you never know until that happens, but connectivity emotions still feel rather subdued for me. I can do with or without. I enjoy their company, but I don't crave it. I have this understanding that they have lives and so do I and our livestock sometimes go in different directions. Is this normal? I don't feel like emotions that deep really exist for me. I don't feel like I have any of those deep I-Would-Totally-Die-For-You relationships.

Question: Can you help me, please? Posted: 07 Oct 2017 10:18 PM PDT I have been dating my girlfriend for 8 months and she is the sweetest thing ever. She is 23 and loves kids and is really down to earth and classy. The thing is, she is pretty innocent and a "good girl." The thing is, whenever we are intimate or just acting flirty, sometimes I will call her my "bad girl" or my "dirty girl," and that will absolutely drive her wild. She gets the biggest smile on her face and she kisses me more passionately. Why would she do this when I call her that?
