We've been friends for a long time since that. We're able to talk about about relationships and give advice to each other with no problem. He asked me about my current boyfriend who I've been with for 7 months now. I told him we had said I love you to each other, and he kept saying things like that's a very big step, not something to take lightly. I was hurt that he was implying that I was taking it lightly and undermining the fact that I am very much in love with my current boyfriend. Anyway, I went on to ask him about what's going on with him in those regards, and after a bit of talk, he said he's only felt emotionally connected two girls before. I said, "oh wonderful! Your ex and someone new?" To which he replied "I've never had a conversation like this, haha" even though we've talked about that kind of stuff before. I felt embarrassed, I thought that I had pried, so I apologized, but he just said that's not what he meant, he just meant a conversation that progresses like that. I felt extremely awkward. Why was he acting so weird? Am I wrong to feel slightly offended that he was basically implying I can't be in love, just because my boyfriend and I are not very public with our relationship (we're both kind of private people)? She filled an empty space in my heart and i was really happy with her and soon going to ask her to marry me. A little bit after New Years she started to act different and on the 25th of Feb, we weren't seeing each other as much because we were both working and going to school. Around the end of Feb she broke up with me saying that it was too much for her, she needed to be alone etc. i begged and cried for her to stay but she had made up her mind. Fast forward to now and we still haven't talked since, i accepted the break up and i wish all the best and want her to be happy but i am still having a hard time letting her go. I unfollowed her on all social media and put away all her belongings. I do anything to try to keep my mind off of her, i hang out with friends, try to talk to other girls, i workout everyday, i am getting ready for nursing school which is keeping me busy with all the paperwork (she still doesn't know i got accepted) but at the end of the day my mind comes back to her. BTW, we were long distance only like an hour and 30 minutes. So about two months ago before she was done with school. I suppose I got strong feelings too early and put her on a pedestal cause of her personality, intelligence and looks, but they're still there even though I haven't spoken to her for a year since the start of college cause of different lessons/friends, although she's off the pedestal somewhat. He texted me Sunday and told me he had a nice time. I haven't heard from him since Monday when I texted him. I just said I hope he was having a good day and just said hope you are too. I did not say anything back. We do not talk everyday but this is the longest we have gone with talking. I am just worried that he just decided that he did not want to see me anymore and did not say anything to me about it. I would text him first but I texted him first last time and what if he trying to not see me anymore but does not want to tell me. I do not want him to think that I am crazy or being clingy. I am also worried that if I do not text him then he will think I do not want to continue talking to him. He said we would spend time together next week. |
