I tried to defend her but these girls have really poisoned her life. Since she was a child my gf was often picked up on from her bigger sisters (they are like 28/+30 and she is 20). I met my girlfriend when she was 17 and got engaged to her at 20. She's a nice girl, shy and she likes studying. Her sisters are the opposite and they never accepted her, when she was a child they bullied her and once when she was about 6/7 one of her sisters told her of how man and woman have sex. She really described everything to a 6 yo kid. I was shocked. Anyway, these 'sisters' often made grouo with other female cousins picking on my gf who was still a child and calling her names, and often touched her physically when she hit puberty, one of the reasons why my gf feels ashamed of herself, and makes me feel guilty for touching her, I almost got mad when she told me she hates everything about physical contact because they made her feel dirty and ashamed. I told her when you love someone, it feels like heaven, she said she knew, but it's always associated with her sisters and cousins. That's sick. I often defended her from them and from her dad who beated me for hanging out with her, but I cannot do more than this. They hate her, and she's really like a child in need of lots of affection. She wants to leave her home and marry me but smtimes i think she like the idea of me as a brother/protector who came to save her and not as a boyfriend. I am so messed up right now when she cries bc of her family it makes me so sad I told her to forget everyrhing about them but she asked me instead why do you have a nice family?Why did I happen to live with them? My mom found him and his aunt in a train station almost 18 ys ago. His parents died in a migrants ship sunk by the gov. He barely spoke at the time but we became friends slowly and shared everything (food homeworks bikes time). They stayed at our home because his aunt worked but nobody was willing to male her a contract so they stayed with us for 2 ys.Then his aunt died of cancer and ne was sent back to our country. I never heard from him for like 15 ys. I met him by chance on a journey and he fell in love but I am so jealous and insecure of his love, I was alone for years I was bullied and think that life is not for me. I am a quiet and sensitive girl and I always think that he loves me but not ad much as I do, and I am convinced that he loves me for our childhood and past not because I'm the girl of his dreams. When we argue I go away and dell him to find another girl, richer prettier niger than me he gets mad turns red and explains his points making me feel like a stupid for questioning his love. I love him so much that I could't immagine being left by him but I try to pretend like I'm stronger. Then I feel guilty because he's an awesome person that gas no family I should be better becuse he deserves that but all I do is ruining everything with my insecurities. And he never made love because I am so afraid of it, I am already so attached to him that if he left me I'd be destroyed, let alone being dumped after making love. She was also taking a photo at the time kneeling down, and the photo captured up her skirt clear as day. Do I tell her? Or do you think she s already aware based on her position or would it come off as weird if I mentioned it to her. When we first got engaged we said we wanted an intimate wedding, inviting immediate family only. My mom freaked out, saying we had to invite all of her distant relatives out of respect. (Her extended family is huge; our guest is now double). It wasn't what we wanted, but, to keep the peace, we agreed. Since then, she's told me she doesn't like certain people I've picked for my bridal party (and people from her side of the family she'd rather have included), has told me and that she hates the music we chose (and demanded we change it to more of the music she likes) among other things. On top of all that, she repeatedly tells me she hates the date we chose for our wedding, because it's "a bad luck day." She even considered buying a mermaid-style wedding dress to wear for the day. When I told her she couldn't, she got angry at me and told me I was objecting because I wanted her to "look boring." Every time I say or do something she doesn't like or agree with, she calls me a Bridezilla. I'm at the point where I don't want to share anything with her anymore -- I know that no matter what I do, she'll have an issue with it. I'm tired of her butting in and undermining mine and my fiancé's choices -- we're really happy with everything we've done so far. My fiancé and I are paying for the wedding entirely on our own. Has anyone else had a similar experience? |

Throughout those years, I was never been close to his family. I tried but I fail. He have 7 total of siblings, 5 are sisters. I courted his sisters for 4years but then eventually give-up. I don't visit or come to any gatherings anymore as they treat me like I'm invisible totally nothing. They don't even bother to say hi.. I suffered from depression trying them to like me until I gave-up and say I'm finally free from oppression. I don't have social issues but, they can't get to like me.... My fiancee and I will be marrying soon and I'm overthinking if I will ask them to be my bride's maid or should I get the ladies who are close to my heart? This wedding is very important to us, and who will be my bride's maid is very important to me. I will ask the one sister but I'm afraid the other 4 will say or think something bad. Please, I need to hear your advice about this. |

As an adult now, I only speak to her maybe once every 4-6 months, if that. We are at the "fake civility" stage, where we barely talk, and if we do we dont go very deep into conversation. Anyway, Im with a great man and we are discussing marriage, but I dont want my mother there because she is the type to create a "scene" at get togethers, especially if shes been drinking. My father will be there and theyve been divorced for over 10 years so...he doesnt want to see her either, and I would just be inviting her out of pure obligation because I dont want to feel guilty. Brief details : I am getting married in February in Puerto Rico and having a reception in June 2019. So I am looking for affordable places for approximately 100-150 guests but less than $5,000. I know it's NJ and hard to find. I would love an outside venue by a lake but I'm really not picky at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I live in North Jersey in Bayonne, NJ but I don't mind traveling 30-45 minutes away. |

The problem is, none of them can afford to throw one/go on a weekend away together for one. I know it's traditional for the bridesmaids/friends to pay for the bachelorette party so the bride doesn't have to pay for anything, however I told them that I'd be more than willing to chip in. They don't want me to, and would rather not have one at all than have one that I pay for. It's upsetting because I REALLY want to have one, but none of them want to throw me one/let me pay to throw one. I've told them it doesn't have to be anything extravagant, I just want to have fun.
