He kept bragging about how his new college is great. End of night he wanted a hug and he hugged me super tight. And asked if we could meet up again in a month since he will be back. Downside: he came in a little late (knows I'm very punctual) didn't apologize, he talks about how he's spending today with a friend somewhere. Didn't ask for any of my social media. I love you no matter what," (also I felt like I was getting sick recently, like stomach bug wise) then I tried to turn but I threw up on him, I started crying harder and kept saying "I don't care, it's just throw up, I love you! All through the night I ran to the bathroom puking sometimes I did not make it he always said it's ok and when 8 made it to the toilet he held my hair back and cuddled me in bed still. I'm pretty much his main provider (Feeding, diaper changes, baths, etc) but he seems to completely ignore me, or straight up doesn't want anything to do with me. I try my hardest to get him to even give me the time of day. I play with him, try to teach him, cuddles and kisses, holding him, letting him play on his own while I supervise, but nothing. He doesnt even really smile at me. With others (his grandmother and father in particular) he loves. He smiles at them with ease. He plays with them. He loves being cuddled by them. But with me.. No. Its starting to make me feel distant and strained from him. Where I'm no longer wanting to play or cuddle him. I love him with every fiber of my being. But it's starting to really kill things emotionally for me and I noticed I'm starting to distant myself. Which I DONT want to do. I want to be close with him. But I feel like my attempts with him are futile. No matter what. He'd always prefer someone over me. Any suggestions from other parents? Has this happened to you? Or am I just being over emotional..?
