This was said to me by my brother, another cousin and grandmother. The "cousins" are the children of my dead uncle. My parents say "this is terrible" but refuse to talk to my brother about these words. My brother and I are both adults. "Cousins" never liked me.

Ok, so we're kinda strange. I'm a teen and I dont have my own room yet, I mean i do but i cant even decorate it or move stuff or anything, and this was my moms old room and she gave up hers so she could sleep on the couch. I dont use my own closet, mine is just for storing clothes from other seasons, not for actual using, im not even allowed to go in there unless it's wintertime, so that i dont sweat on the clothes to ruin them. My clothes are in my mom's closet. Sometimes we dont even put them in the closet, we just hang them on chairs and stuff to dry, so sometimes there'll be like underwear just hanging around chairs and stuff. (Of course we clean it up when visitors are here.) everything is just used randomly, old rags for towels, too-small pants from when i was little for TV screen coverings..No, we're not dorty and messy, but do you think we live strangely?

I have a beautiful 9 month old daughter. Her father and I have never been together, his choice, but try to co parent as best we can. He is not the most reliable about spending time with her but is great when he has her. He has not seen her in about a month due to conflicting schedules on both our parts. I contacted him today to see when he wanted her next and told him that in Aug. there are 2 weekends that I need to switch with him. He flipped out. Tried to make it sound like I don't allow him any time, that its always my way etc. I truly don't understand his anger. I wasn't taking away time, only asking to switch the weekends. She's 22 and I'm 26. About 4 months ago, she left her parents who were extremely religious to be with me. I'm an atheist, and we had a long distance relationship that went on for 2 years. She was only 10 hours away. She drove to me so we can be together. That means, she can't see her parents anymore because they're extremely religious and they will harm her if they see her again. My girlfriend cries all the time and whines about missing her family. I understand that she misses them, but she made that decision. She's cried for the last 4 months every single day. How do I fix this? She does love me, and we do have our amazing days. But at night, when we are about to sleep, she starts crying about her family. How do I make her feel better about that? I am 19 years old and I help my grandma around her house ever since she went to the hospital last week. I stay there and do my best to care for her. My aunts and mother work far, my uncle and dad do too, but my 12 year old cousin who is just as capable as I prefers to sleep in till 10:00, go out with friends, and pig out on candy. My aunts tell me I don't do much and make me feel lazy. On top of it all, my mother keeps taking my graduation and birthday money and interrogates me about what I spend it on. What if you know there is fraud n greed is in the family??..see my mom is sick n so is my dad. But hes more mobile than my mom. He works 4 my mom as a private in home care program. Called consumer direct here in wi. He gets paid 325 every 2 weeks. My sister lives there with them but she also have a 6 month old baby to take care of as well. I'm moving cross country for a job. My parents have agreed to help me with my move. We are in town and they've insisted they pay for things so I can save my money. I have over $10,000 saved! but They refuse to let me use it. They have purchased me groceries, furniture, utensils etc etc. I NEVER asked them to do this. I moved in with my parents when I was 4, I was living with my grandparents. My mom started abusing me physically and verbally, she abused me so much I had bruises and scars, all I remember is being abused when I accidentally made a mistake. My mom is narcissist, she would always think that she's perfect and awesome, whenever a relative compliments me she always asks me "aren't you glad I strictly teached you everything you know?" No, she would hit me whenever I forgot or got anything wrong, I learned my subjects in school not by her. I have to do all the house chores so she wouldn't get dirty or something, I vacuum, I clean the bathrooms, do the laundry, and wash all the dishes, while she's just on her phone. Whenever I forget to do something she freaks out and hits me. My anxiety and migraine delevoped because of the constant stress and pressure. People who know me consider me really mature, I'm only mature because of the constant abuse. When I was 4 I caught my mom cheating on my dad, so I told my dad because I didn't know anything, my mom got mad and abused me a lot during the argument, my dad forgave her, but after a little while she started cheating on my dad again. Yesterday she freaked out on me because a guy I asked a question to didn't hear me. And today she freaked out because a package arrived, the package was a pressure oven that costed $70. I'm 15 years old boy. My father died few months ago. My mother never liked my father. No one loved me more than my father did. My mother talks bad stuff about my father and my grandparents. She says my grandparents are poor uneducated people. Every once in a while my mother ACTS like she loves me a lot. Other times she tortures me so bad. Whenever I miss my father, and i cry, a normal mother would calm their child. And my mother keeps saying, "oh so you love your father more than me? Go live with your grandparents." So my grandma is in her 80's, and for about two months now she has these completely random moments where she doesn't leave her bedroom for days, and she won't eat much. Meanwhile, my grandpa is always so scared that she's dying or something. Like he'll cancel everything he has planned for the day, or week because he thinks that he needs to stay with her at all times. After she stops being sick, she'll come downstairs and eat a lot of food, and then turn back into being more normal. She takes a mass amount of pills everyday, (she doesn't have any serious illnesses) which could be normal for a woman in her 80's, but I have no clue. Question: How do I get my mom to stop smoking?

She's been smoking since she was really young, and she doesn't want to quit. I've tried everything, telling her everything that's in them, telling her the health side effects, everything. She doesn't even try. I'm getting more annoyed about it now then concerned, because now I'm starting to get s**t about spending all her money and how she doesn't have any, but she has enough to buy cigarettes at least once a week, sometimes more. From what I was told, it's a $3000+ a year habit that she continues, and if she continued to quit since she was pregnant with me, it would've saved her $48,000, give or take, which is beyond ridiculous. I make ultimatums with her, tell her I'll do anything she wants me to do, achieve grades that o never have, basically anything that sounds appealing, and nothing works. I'm really annoyed now, mostly because she complains about not having enough money, and blames me because I "ask for too much" yet I haven't gotten a stitch of new clothing since Christmas, and all I've asked for is fruit instead of junk food. I'm trying to make myself healthier, so why can't she? I know it's a tough habit, but when I start getting heat for it it's time for her to try and kick it. How to I get her to stop? Sorry for the length, I'm ranting. Please help! I want my mom to live to see her future grandchildren grow up!

Ok, so my mom is turning 60 this year & I can already tell she is feeling a little insecure. But, the good thing is she looks amazing & doesn't even look like she's turning 60. However, the other day she had to get 4 teeth pulled in the front of her mouth. Now she is feeling really insecure, but she has teeth to put in. She only takes them out at night & she won't even talk to me while she has them out. I keep telling her she looks beautiful, & she doesn't look old, but idk what else I can do to make her feel like she's beautiful with or without teeth. What do you think I can do to make her feel amazing again?

my sister just got a cold me and some of my family have been avoiding her for the past day we have become GERMAPHOBICS (sorry) because my mom and my dad are taking care of her i absolutely hate being sick tho we spray ourselves with achohal every 10-20 minutes and we even wash our hands cause we beyond hate getting sick any life hack to be immune to it (not forever or forever) like a mixture of something achohal etc.

Question: Would you be offended if mother-in-law said this?

My MIL recently claimed that she doesn't know whether I take care of my kids. I have two boys, 1 and 4. MIL lives in another city but has stayed at our house twice in the past year, and we vacationed with her for a week in April, so she has seen me take care of my kids. She claims that she does not speak in absolutes and therefore my husband and I should not be offended. By the way, I think I'm a totally normal mother who loves and takes care of her children. MIL has a history of saying/doing mean, passive aggressive things to me and then telling me that I'm crazy. Would you be offended if your MIL could not answer whether or not you take care of your kids? It seems that I would at least give the person the benefit of the doubt that they take care of their kids unless I had some evidence to the contrary.

My brother, sister and I are all home-schooled and live on a farm with us being the only kids in our nieghboorhood. My sister and I are interested in joining a sports team but keep getting bumped down the list because of being home-schooled. We have no where to make freinds and I can't convince my mom to let us join some type of co-op for the summer. I wanted this year to be filled with friends and fun but how can we do that if we don't know anyone and we don't have the proper finances to join a summer camp? So I need some advice on things to do to keep me and my siblings busy during the summer. Please help me.

So I m 18 years old and I have 4 siblings younger than me(13/6/2/8months) Which she seems to not care of.. She always goes out and leave my siblings with me.. I spend more time with them than her.. She doesn t allow me to go out and have fun.. I m just 18 I wanna go out and experience things it s summer holiday and it s been a month I didn t go anywhere I m always in my room I can t even go out for a walk.. I feel so depressed.. (She verbally abuse me and my siblings..) She doesn t even cook to feed us.. Sometimes I don t eat for days.. I m getting tired of this life.. I really don t what to do.. I m a student I don t have any job I can t get out of the house because there s no one to help me.. I don t have any friends.. Trust me I m not allowed to talk to anyone in my school.. I can t live like this anymore.. Please I hope someone understand my situation.. I just want to kill my self it s getting out of hand.. Please help me!

My cousins love my sister. They feel like she's the best girl that walked on earth, they added her on facebook, I've been declined and ignored by most of my cousins on facebook and instagram. Also when hanging out with my cousins they always seem to be interested in her life. I don't understand what the difference between her and I are. My sister and me are very polite, but my sister hates all my cousins. I don't like my cousins very much either but I still make an effort to check in on them. They also say my sister is very successful and are always excited for her. She works two days a week, won't finish school even though she only needs one more class to graduate and wont look for a full time. Im working full time and trying to get my drivers license so I can go to school. In trying so hard in life to advance but no one cares.

My parents are travelling. Again. When your parents are teachers, they spend their summers having fun by themselves. I'm stuck at home with my 19 year brother who's doing some sort of research project for college. I have nothing to do. Previous summers, I'd get next year's textbooks early and read through all of them but the system changed and we aren't allowed to buy our own copies ahead of time. I have literally nothing to do. I'm a 14 year old girl.

Question: Why doesn't my dad care that he's cheating but he won't let me tell my mom?

My parents are still married but my parents started not sleeping together a few months ago because my dad said he sleeps better with when he is sleeping alone. My dad has been talking to this girl, who I believe is his old classmate. He has been talking to her ever since last year. I remeber I would find photos of her on my dads phone. But ever since my dad started sleeping by myself, I would overhear him talking to this woman late at night everynight. My mom just went to China for a few weeks and is not back yet. Today, we went to Flordia to visit her and her children and all they have been doing is taking pictures with each other and talking. Right now, my dad is talking to her on the phone and he's saying stuff like "I am so glad I got to see you today", "you are as beautiful as you were 20 years ago", "you are so beautiful everytime I see you my heart beats", "you have a really nice body" And he also asked her "so are you satisfied with my children?" As my father is talking to this woman, I am cringing so hard I feel so bad for my poor mother. She's coming over tomorrow to our hotel and I'm scared something would happen between her and my dad. My dad even told me not to tell my mom about him meeting this woman who he calls his "old friend". My dad spent so much money on her today. Btw this woman is married too with three children. I really don't know what to do. The thing that hurts the most is that my dad doesn't care that I'm listening to his conversation.

Question: My mother was very bitter when I was a kid at her alcoholic father. Is this just as harmful as being an alcoholic?

I liked my grandfather a lot but my mother always put him down and told us he didn't love us because he drank. As a teen I learned to ignore my mother and keep being nice to him. So my question is if my mother's deep anger at him which continues to this day in the form of her resenting her brothers who were good to him, is just as damaging to the family as being an alcoholic would be?

my smaller brother is about 11 years old and i am 13 years old , so we fight a lot , more than the usual amount , and it is mostly for silly things , but sometimes me being a normal dude i just like play with him or give him noogies here and there , honestly all of my friends' lil' brothers accept it and go on but my brother just changes drastically and starts trying to beat the crap out of me , he fails but then he goes to mom and dad , that's when sh!t gets real , he basically tries to manipulate them into thinking that he is the victim , before he goes there i try to apologize to him and telling him to chill , it rarely works ..... then i hear a scary sound " KENAN DAF## DID YOU DO TO YOUR BROTHER ?!!! COME HERE YOU LITTLE BRAT !!" and they start beating the hell out of me , and it all ends with that cheesy smile oh his . and when i just start telling him jokes or bad puns he just gives me that stare ...... , and when i tell him the joke again he just starts shouting at me as if i killed a person :P and i never break his things , but he accuses me of doing so , you see one time we were playing , and him being and idiot he was holding his phone WHILE playing , and suddenly my leg just hit his headphones ( they're cheap about $2) and they no longer work , i tell him " who the hell brings his phone while playing , idiot" , and he replies " you broke it , YOU BROKE THE DAMN THING , I AM TELLING MOM!" but i gave him my pair of headphones just so i don't get my butt kicked.
