Posted: 29 Jul 2016 05:45 PM PDT I was dropping off 2 of my friends only to see around 3-4 black boys and 3 girls walking in front of us from around the corner. They stopped and let us continue walking towards them without us knowing what was about to happen. Once we reached them they called us over and asked where we were from and the girls ran away. I told them we lived locally and they demanded for our possessions. At that point my 2 friends ran off and got away while i was left there. I was so shocked and two very tall built black boys brought out a knife and went through my pocket to get my phone. He then slit my hand with a knife dropped me on the floor and made me take off my top and said if i didnt he d stab me again. They then ran off and I was there left bleeding and ran home. Sorry if this was quite long but I didn t report it to the police as i m sure they would find out and attack me even worse. This happened right near my house and these boys regularly hang around in my area. I m only 15 and i m not built or anything so I can t fight them and have no one who would support me. I m sure that I ll encounter them again near my house soon and I don t know what to do now. PLEASE HELP! :( |

But now I have loads of different friends and when I don t meet her or hang with her at lunch she gets mad at me and says "go hang with your other friends, u clearly hate me" I don t hate her I never slag her off to anyone I m not that kinda person. It s just when I hang with my other friends she thinks that I hate her, honestly I don t give one about who she hangs out with she can hang out with trump and I wouldn t care. But she is acting so strange, and she stars being horrible to the people I m with. She has done this multiple times. Soon after they became close, my best friend began confusing my name with the other girl's. She would apologize and I would playfully get mad. It got to the point that EVERYTHING in our conversations included this other girl. This time I was getting annoyed more than anything, so when her name came up i would make a snarky comment about the girl or scoff and roll my eyes. This went on for a few weeks and finally my best friend confronted me about it and I explained that I felt like we were drifting because of this girl. Instead, my best friend got mad and we never spoke again. A few hours later the other girl DMed me on Instagram saying how I was being two faced with her. (Apparently being nice to someone you don't like is being two faced..) The girl said all these things about how my best friend liked her better than she did me. That hurt my feelings and we never spoke again. It was at least a month after that I decided to be the bigger person and I DMed the other girl apologizing for being "two faced" but the girl opened the message and never responded. I REFUSE to talk to my ex-best friend because I know that if I do, she will get the idea that I NEED her and that I'm emotionally weak..WHICH I KINDA AM. Now every time I think of her, i feel like crying, but I dont. I get chest pain instead. Should I talk to her? Or forget and move on? I also feel heart broken that she hasn't tried to reach out. But then again, she thinks it's my fault. I don't know how she's feeling right now. After 61 days of not even saying a single word to each other... Is she feeling as heart broken as I am? That was really surprising as she had never been any trouble before. The principal told me that the school had a problem with my daughter tutoring math. The only had room for a fixed number of students where she was doing the tutoring. Each semester they would post a sign up sheet for the tutoring. It turns out that most of the people that signed up were guys who did not need any tutoring. Most of the guys were A students that just wanted to get to know my daughter better. He said I can understand why these guys would want to get to know her better because she is beautiful girl. He said they were going to have to get someone else to do the tutoring so girls could get the math help they need. I know my daughter is going to be disappointed that she is being dumped. This just does not seem fair. I asked why they just don't kick the guys out that don't need tutoring and they told me they were afraid they would be accused of discriminating against boys. I think if my daughter could say she was a math tutor in high school, it will help her get in the college of her choosing. Parents (and high school girls) please give me your thoughts on this. Are they treating my daughter fairly? What should I do if anything? |

One roommate keeps taking my parking space when it is my week to park there. I talked to the roommate twice about the parking rules and she ignored it. I even had the other roommate talk to this roommate about it. I came home one Friday night to find that this roommate had taken my spot and did not move it the whole weekend. When my week was over, I took the other roommates parking space that week, and the offending roommate got angry at me. Was I wrong for taking back the parking space? In high school there were several groups of people in which I never seemed to fit in. My friends for instance knew other guys thru sports,boy scouts and stuff. I never was in those groups so I didn't became their friends. I'm shy but I like talking to people. Over the years I met a lot of people,it usually goes like this. I meet a guy or girl,we talk for a while,maybe we even hang out once but everyone quickly forgets about me. There are parties? I'm not invited,they just say "hi " to me when I run into them around town,when I ask them why they didn't invite me they usually go like "It was his/her party dude,I couldn't invite you" but truth is they didn't want to. They have my phone number but they never call me. I have one friend but since he got in a relationship I see him like 2 times a month bottom line is that I tried for so long to be accepted by these people only to realize I'm not one of them and I never will so what's the point? |

Posted: 29 Jul 2016 11:05 AM PDT I mean like in school they are real disruptive, skip class and sometimes straight out bully other students infront of teachers and get away with it and they are considered the good kids. They do **** that if other students would even try to attempt would get in a **** load of trouble. Even outside of school they seem to have rally good luck with underage drinking or smoking pot. Last weekend all the preps had a party and my cousin invited me who hangs with them. The party was in a parking lot in the middle of town. They weren't even being careful about it either. The keg was out in the open in this dudes truck and people were smashing bottles being real loud and stuff. A cop showed up and all that happened was he made them clean up the glass, made them call someone of age to get the keg and made them dump any beer bottles or anything with alcohol and just told us to go home. It blew my mind because these kids get away with everything. Why do they have such good luck? if it was me and my skater friends we would have all got in legal trouble |

And since she s two years younger than me she looked up to me very much, and copied everything I did. And about two months ago, I got mad at her for talking to my ex. We didn t talk for about a month, because I was so mad at her for always texting every guy I talk to (she texts a lot of guys, she s kinda a hoe) but about a month later she texted me and I forgave her. But then a few days later she blocked me on every media. I was confused but I left it alone for a while but after a few weeks my friend gave her a message for me saying that I wanted to talk and be friends again, since she blocked my number too. When we were talking she said she felt like "she messed everything up, so she shut me out" Which doesn t sound like her at all because usually in arguments she s the first one to beg to be friends, even if she s wrong. So we talked a little bit. But it confused me about how we were best friends but when we forgave each other she made no effort to be in my life at all. She never talked to me. So yesterday I asked her why she apologized but when we become friends she doesn t even talk to me. And she left me on read. | Question: Why does nobody like me? Posted: 29 Jul 2016 10:14 AM PDT I only have 3 "real friends", but i'm beginning to doubt that as well. The only thing i've been doing my whole summer is to stay at home, watch tv, and think about why i'm not good enough for anyone. I wrote one of my friends to see if they woud hang out, but that didnt pay off. I'm being told to be myself in order to make friends, but why do I keep getting rejected all the time, when I do just that? I am shy and introverted, but I have tried to open up and participate in as many social arrangements as possible. I do everything I can to fit in but it just doesnt work. I have simply given up. How do I get a broad social network? |

We got separated in 7th, and she made like 30 friends I swear. My other 2 friends, one had 2 classes and we were pretty close, and the other we had lots of classes and were good friends. But I only know them from 6th grade, so I haven't made any new friends😔. It's like people don't wanna make any more friends because they already have a ton of friends. I'm really shy and socially awkward so it's really hard for me to make conversation and make friends. They all kinda ask me if I have new friends, and I just lie because it sounds stupid if I say "no". They all have new friends and we probably won't have classes next year. HOW DO I MAKE FRIENDS??!?!?!?!?!? |

Posted: 29 Jul 2016 09:55 AM PDT I screwed up big time, I fell in Love with this girl Amanda a while back. but she only wanted to be my friend, we had an awesome friendship but 1 year ago she drifted apart, but we still stayed in contact. but I continued to like her soo much, Soo 2 days ago I deleted her Facebook and told her I need to forget the past. but lately ive been suffering from depression, And she was always the only one I could trust. I feel stupid messaging her. what should I doo??? :( There's alot of things causing my depression |
| Question: Was I wrong in this situation? Posted: 29 Jul 2016 09:53 AM PDT I live in a house where I share a parking space. With two other people. One roommate keeps taking my parking space when it is my week to park there. I talked to the roommate twice about the parking rules and she ignored it. I even had the other roommate talk to this roommate about it. I came home one Friday night to find that this roommate had taken my spot and did not move it the whole weekend. When my week was over, I took the other roommates parking space that week, and the offending roommate got angry at me, and cused me for some thing they started. Was I wrong for taking back the parking space? I never had any parking problems with this roommate again. |

Posted: 29 Jul 2016 09:39 AM PDT I don't have any friends because whenever I think they are friends they do something that makes me feel they are just using me for example thy only make plans when they don't have other things to do.. then break plans if a better offer comes up Or they just seem to brag about their life Or they just want to talk about them self's or their "situation" It just seems all fake - when we all go out its all just for show. No one's having a good time and they constantly just gossip about everyone else. It's as if they go out just to pretend they have a good fulfilled life but no one likes each other. I just give up making new friends I honestly can't be bothered. |
| Question: What does this mean and what can i do to fix it? Posted: 29 Jul 2016 09:29 AM PDT So i went on this teen global service program for two weeks and made a LOT of really good friends. Its incredible how close i became to so many people! But heres what confuses me. At the program, these people were all over me and were just as upset as i when we had to seperate and wrote me very sweet notes and such but some of these people have made little effort to stay in touch with me! A few of them are making all the effort but some, for example, wont respond to my snapchats! Does that mean that they didnt even like me in the first place? There was one friend who i became very very very close to we were literally inseperable but then we sorta had a falling out in the last two days and now he wont respond to my snapchats. I would think that he would look last the last two days and actually try to keep in contact with me. I have made more than enough effort to stay in touch with him. If this is one of those things where i love him way more than he does me or he secretly doesnt like me and is trying to hint it to me, should i give up and just leave him alone?? That would make me incredible sad because he was one of the best friends ive ever had |
| Question: Is it morally wrong to let a friend fail in school? Posted: 29 Jul 2016 09:24 AM PDT I've been having this internal debate on whether it is morally wrong or at least rude to just let a friend fail, for instance, in an exam. I'm a hardworker myself and I am very independent. I try to understand everything that I need to all on my own and only if I really can't understand will I ask the help of others. I have a friend who's not really good in academics. I do my part as her friend by encouraging her to work hard and all that. I'm just not the type of person who will study with other people as I study best alone. I also don't like "teaching" my friends topics because I find that my own grades suffer from that because I can't study with other people. If she fails, do I somehow have a part in it? I feel like if she fails (she has before), I saw it coming and didn't do anything about it. Also, what do you think about sharing your own notes with other people? Would you consider that letting your friends reap what they didn't work for or just camaraderie? |
| Posted: 29 Jul 2016 09:08 AM PDT It ended up with me telling him everything because I was very nervous. I've seen videos of people not answering questions and asking if they're being detained then walking away should I do or would it make things worse? |
| Question: Men, can you explain why he treated me this way? Posted: 29 Jul 2016 09:07 AM PDT My coworker who I never met would take the time to stare at me and when our eyes would meet, glare. Everytime. Or make it a point to show that he was studying/ targeting me. We had to work together so we finally met and he told me how he views women for only one thing. I just ignored it. He later snapped at me and implied that men did not find me attractive, which is the opposite - I get hit on more than most. He never treated any others this way and know one noticed. Since, every day, he would pressure me since then to come over. I never did. One day at work, I came in and he called me over. He was with another, and asked me if I was coming to hang out. I ignored and politely declined. He then later interrupted a conversation I was having with another to ask me again. I declined again. He then said his friend who was with wants me to come so I have to. I ignored. I was then in a private and heated conversation with another in which he again interrupts and glares at me. We tell him it's private, he interrupts stating he knows but he's curious. We tell him again in which he repeats everything he heard of our conversation and lingers. After, I completely ignored him but everyday he makes a point of trying to annoy me in obvious ways. The last time I saw him, he starts laughing to himself while looking at me admiringly. What is this? |

Posted: 29 Jul 2016 08:56 AM PDT There is this one girl I got into a huge fight with about 4 years ago but I cross paths with her and she never talks to me anymore since then. She always gives me mean looks and always is acting weird around me. She doesn't like me at all. I even apologized a couple times and told her I am a new person and sorry that I was being rude. I even told her I took anger management classes and that I am not that kind of person anymore as I was in the past. She still doesn't want to listen and is going to judge me the rest of my life. Why can't she let the past go? Are people really like this where they can't ever forgive you for something you done wrong or if you were rude before? It's like every time I run into her, it's always awkward because she tries to avoid me. |

It's very hard for a new student who is quiet or shy to make friends and he usually gets bullied or just ignored! Why is that? | Posted: 29 Jul 2016 08:22 AM PDT I write. I draw. And a few times I've been called a genius by someone who wasn't a family member. But I don't really take pride in that title, or even know if I truly qualify for it. But I do know I'm smart, and I do know that there is a general angst I have around others. Don't get me wrong, my situation has been described to me as Elitist by others, including family, but I don't feel that way. I don't look down on people. Mostly because I know what that feels like. But it's just, I seem to rarely find many other persons I can truly relate with. And usually it's about the intellectual level. I don't know. A lot of people, there's just no spark there for a friendship or even a relationship. So I was wondering do other smart people feel this too? And also, is this a thing that people feel in general anyway? I've observed with my parents and others parents, they don't have too many friends. It's not like how it was in college. Everybody seems to just crawl in their crabby shell further and further the older we get. Thoughts? |
