I'm a freshman going to sophomore now, and my grades last year were all A's and one B+. That B+ was in pre-calculus and I did really work hard in that class. I also took a before school class and also a summer class, but she still isn't satisfied. I also practice piano every day and I get my fair share of exercise in basketball too. Recently my mom has also required me to take coding lessons online, which I am not complaining about. The trouble is that she is a programmer herself, and if she asks me questions about programming that I don't know yet she flips out and starts yelling at me that I am lazy. I also like to play video games and that has been a problem for her. But honestly there is not a lot to do during summer when school has almost started. I also don't neglect my homework or studying, and I am going to take two AP and one honors class in my sophomore year? Can't she see how much work I am doing already and that maybe I just need some time to relax and have fun? Idk if this matters but I am Asian, maybe that's just how she grew up?

My parents are pretending to 'homeschool' me. But my mom just stays home sleeping or watching movies all day while my dad is gone, when dad gets home she acts like she spent all her time being a teacher for us. But nope. She throws us some books that she got who knows where for free and aren't even our grade. We don't do any worksheets or anything but solve the problems written in the math book and read. I hate this, I've tried to tell my dad so many times but he doesn't listen. I want to go to a real school. I don't have any friends or anyone to talk to that could help. The people I am sometimes around who are my age make me feel stupid. I don't know anything. I hate myself and I feel like I can't do anything about this. I'm 14 years old and supposed to be in 9th grade this year. My parents refuse to send me to the public school for THEIR religious reasons and can't afford a private school. I will just be in the same room as one of them and i won't say anything at all and they'll yell at me for no reason? Or i'll be in my kitchen while they are in my living room and tell me to get out of the kitchen because i'm annoying them, but i'm not even interacting with them. We go to eat dinner at the table and they both start insulting me and laughing at me. My parents say to stop but they don't! In the small time they are nice to me if i ask a question...a QUESTION....they insult me and say something like, "This is why i can't be in the same room as you" or "this is why you are so annoying". I just asked a question. HOW IS THAT ANNOYING? It's like they hate me for just being there. I am the youngest in my family being 14, and they are 16 and 19. Is just being there so bad? Lemme give you a run through. She was 15 when she was pregnant 16 when she had her 1st kid. Then 16 when she was pregnant for me and 17 when she had me. It was just me and my older brother until we were about 7 and 8 and she was a single mom lot of the time. She had my younger brother then another one a year later and after him. She lost her mind. I explain situations to people and they're like oh she's just over protective. They don't understand she tries to fight me. She's verbally and emotionally anusive. She has a drinking problem. She ruins every relationship with she has with people. She thinks everybody is against her. She used to take antidepressants for about a year give or take. And they helped her for a while she had a good job and was Getting her license to be an insurance agent even about to start her own insurance agency with her business partner then... She lost it. She had an abusive boyfriend. She's real fidgety she snaps about little things she's very impatient. She goes out and drinks her money away then comes home and doesn't get enough sleep. She hasn't had a job for a long time and owes a lot of people money. I've had problems with being lazy in past, so I know I have that reputation, but I don't just sit around and do nothing anymore. I could clean the whole house and they probably wouldn't notice unless I said something. Just the other day I did the dishes, a load of laundry, and swept the hall, and my mother comes to me today claiming that I haven't been doing enough and that my sister has been doing most the work. My sister is constantly complaining about being the only one who does work around the house, which is a load of crap. All she does is the laundry. (Both my parents work so they aren't home a lot to help with these things) I just want my parents, or really my mother, to notice that I DO do work around the house and that I have been helping, do I just need to work harder?

She's mentally unstable, she had a bachelor's degree but she won't work and NO it's not hard for her to find a job, she just doesn't wanna work every job she's had she QUITS because she feels like it, or thinks everyone needs to be her friend. I am sixteen and I live with my mom and my grandparents. I am almost seventeen and looking forward to moving out when I'm eighteen. I never want to see my mom again. She's overbearing and never shuts up. She's constantly barging in my room whenever she wants and raiding it. Hi, I just got married to a guy who has 4 sisters and I have NO siblings. I find it hard to not show favoritism towards his oldest sister because she hates drama and is a lot of fun to be around and I also enjoy being around her kids too. My son was failing in Math so the high school recommended a tutor. They gave me a list of tutors. I started calling and most of them had all the tutoring they could do. I called Lisa and she said she was available for 1 hour 2 days a week. From day 1 of her tutoring my son's grades starting improving. She was only getting paid for 1 hour as that was all I could afford but she often spent much more time with my son. After a month of tutoring my son came to me and ask me to please get another tutor. When I ask him why, he said Lisa was so beautiful, hot, and sexy he could not concentrate on math when she was with him. The next time she was here I looked closely at her and she was gorgeous. She had a figure to die for. She told me she is a college student and also has a part time job as a swim suit model. It just does not seem right to tell her she can not tutor my son anymore as she has done wonders for his grades. She is also a VERY NICE person and it is not her fault she is so beautiful. It is my son's fault he can not keep his mind on math with her but I can understand how teenage boys would be distracted by such a beautiful girl. I also do not want to waste my money for a tutor when my son will not learn anything because his mind is on something else. How should I teach him he is going to have to deal with beautiful women all his life and he has to get used to it. Can somebody please give me some advice on what I should do?

I'm in college full time but I commute from home which my mom encouraged when I starts college 2 years ago. I also work a part time job while in school and full time during every break. My parents have a good amount of money. When my car died my dad bought a new car and "surprised" me by giving me his leased car that is too expensive for me to pay, over 1000 a month. I cannot afford it while paying for school and saving up to move out. I had always lived my mom because my parents were divorced. At age 16 I started working because I knew my mom's responsibilities as a single mother and I didn't want to be bothering her with stuffs I needed. My dad who lived in another country lost his job at age 55 , I had like 16, so I helped him financially until he found a job. However, my dad always stated that he couldn't find a job at his age, and finding a job in his country was even more difficult. So yes since age 16 I have been helping my dad. To make the long story short, my dad came to the Usa 6 months ago and has been living with me since then. I'm 16 now. He is 65 now. I know it may be hard for him to find a job and I really don't need the financial help, but he still expect me to care of him like of he was my child. Wash his clothes, take him out, cook for him. I'm tired!!! I don't have kids and it is like I do having him in my house. The worst part is that he loves talking about me. He complains that I don't take care of him enough. Like seriously. If they had told me French people were dangerous or something prejudice like that I probably would have even believed them. My mother was divisive so she used to teach me negative things about other people and I believed her and have since realized she was very wrong. So am I at fault for believing her? I was 15 when I began questioning her and believing her less and less. I'm 16 years old and have never been a girly girl my whole life. I have never in my life worn anything provacative or revealing. I wear jeans basically every day except if I'm working out/doing sports. My dad is a hardcore Christian forcing his religion on me. I'm tired of it, but I go along with them to church, go to whatever christian camps they want me to go to and get up at 3 in the morning every weekend to make burritos for the church. I go to a casual church where people dress in whatever they want. Most men wear cargo shorts, jeans, and a T-shirt, some people wear button downs. I'm already not allowed to wear any of the Harry Potter merch I bought because it is "Devil worshipping". But what's so wrong with wearing a flannel? There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I was going to wear a black T-shirt underneath it and the flannel over it, but when my dad saw he he slipped out and started yelling at me about how it's not apropriate. I have tried talking to my dad about it but it never ends well, he always manages to move the conversation to college and how I need to be a grown up.. I just don't understand why he won't let me wear something that isn't inapropriate in any way? My dad is pretty controlling, so if I say no to anything he asks he flips out, even if he says he won't get mad no matter what my choice is. How should I go about this?

My parents are very strict and demand that I go to university. I'm not so smart and I don't like to study, therefore it's unlikely that I end up in uni. Hi. I feel like my Dad is really aggressive. He's been like this ever since I was little and will blow up easily. When angry he'll often call me nasty names (like stupid, cow, ***** ect.) or sometimes hit me and even push me. This happens with my 14 year old sister also when she fights with my Dad. I have had a couple physical fights with my sister and we argue but we always reconcile and I feel really guilty. But, with my Dad, I feel like he doesn't get how hurtful he can be. He does apologise sometimes after an argument but he's still aggressive afterwards and it makes me feel like the apology is half-hearted. I will stand up for myself and can be nasty but only when prompted and I always apologise but I haven't hit my Dad. I suffer from mental health issues and a couple of weeks ago I overdosed on my anxiety medication due to feeling very depressed after an argument with my Dad and sister. I told the mental health nurse at the hospital it was due to an argument but didn't say how aggressive he was and just got sent home after getting the all-clear. Living at home is not helping my mental health. I've told my friends but my Mum says he's just hot-headed and I should be grateful for everything he does for me which makes me feel guilty and they both make me feel like it's my fault for his behaviour which makes me feel awful. I'm 16, live in the UK and have just left high school so what should I do because living at home is becoming increasingly unbearable.

I live in Virginia with my immediate family and no one else, the rest of my family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins) lives in Texas, in 206 my grandmother on my dad's side was passing away and there were plans to move to Texas afterwards but my father never saw them through, several years later my grandmother on my mothers side was dying of cancer and we almost didnt get to go. even though we DID go it wasnt very long because of other responsibilities at home. now its the current time and the matter has become a hot topic. my mother is having extensive surgeries on her foot because of an infection that has been a burden on her for about 3 years now and my mother (and I) really want to move but my father becomes extremely angry and upset when we even mention the word Texas to him. the idea of staying in Texas after the vacation and hoping my father will give in has crossed her mind but that didnt work so well before "i was 4 when this was tried". several thing in our lives have been going on that support from extended family would help alot with. My mom and dad are polar opposites on this matter and i am somewhat at a deciding vote right now. i side with my mother on the matter but I do not beleive my dad will ever give in and follow us to Texas. I need some serious advice here because its going to tear our family apart one way or another. 206 should be 2006 I am 16

I do not understand when I am in my home town I feel so alive, I rarely get tired and I can even finished so many projects. But when i get back to school dormitory which is a few kilometers away from my home town, I feel so tired and sick I constantly cough and my sinusitis is getting worst. Is there some bad energy in my room? Is that even real? Should I believe those stuff?

I'm trilingual, pay for my gas, have a job, paid for my car, my laptop & my camera, live in the basement of my parents house rent free, clean up after myself, play piano at a teaching level, graduated high school with honors, commencing my business degree at university in september, am 19 years old, don't do drugs, hardly ever drink, party maybe 3-5 times a year, usually am home around 10-11pm even on non-school/work days, have had a boyfriend for the past 3 years that my parents love, my parents pay for my insurance, phone bill, & my university with money they've saved up since I was born and I am very grateful for that, but there's one thing: my mom lives in costa rica half the year and when she comes back she imposes rules that I'm not accustomed to living with for the other half of the year and we fight. Tonight I was out late until 2am playing pokemon go, walking around with friends on a summer night that I don't work or have school the next day and she got very mad that I was out late. I could be doing so many other things, and yet playing a game and getting a little fresh air/excersice and she's mad, basically calls me stupid for playing a game and says we need to talk (I hardly ever play games). I understand her concern for my safety. But I just wanted to have harmless fun and walk around with friends for a night and she makes me feel like **** and like what I'm doing and how I'm living my life is wrong. I don't know what to do or how to react in this situation. Help? .

I'm 14 and my home life is very unstable. How can I get away? I don't have any family willing to take me. I'm to young to join the military, I can't afford boarding or military school or to study abroad. My mother is violent and has serious issues. I love my dad but he isn't quite parental material and expects me to take complete care of him and my brother since my mother left. help.

I saw the invitation when at my parents house but don't live there it was addressed by our last name followed by family. It is a party for her 15 year old so it would seem more likely for all but I am much older so not positive. Would like to go if invited but don't want to if not invited.

So 2 days ago my mom and stepdad got into a fight. I was listening due to the fact their room is close to my room. After the fight, they never talked to each other. I feel like they're about to get divorced, since my mom says we're staying in our hometown while they move to the new house they recently bought. My (step) sister is 14 and she got pregnant. I told her that I don't feel bad for her and that something is seriously wrong with her to be having sex this early ( she was not raped both her and her "boyfriend confessed to being sexually active). My parents don't have the money for an abortion as they made some big purchases recently. I'm a saver so I have the money but I'm not giving it to her for an abortion. I'm very religious even if abortion didn't go against my religion I believe it takes away personal accountability/responsibility but that's just me. My family says that she really need one since she can't afford a child,take care of one,and that she's still a kid ( I think if you want to do adult things you should have adult consequences). I honestly feel like this isn't my problem and I don't support it so I'm not going to pay for it especially since I explained sex inside and out to her so it's not like she was uneducated on the subject. I don't know what to do because I don't want to pay for this but everyone is mad at me ( which I find ridiculous since nobody seems to be too mad at the person who spread their legs to get in this position). I'm fourteen, and for. . . About three almost four years I've been depressed. But no one thinks so! Since 2012, my mother has turned into Mommie Dearest. Throw things, cussing my out, you name it most likely she's done it. Then, last year we moved to Las Vegas because her stupid *** boyfriend got us evicted and she won't even admitted it. She won't admit that she was on drugs since my since (who is three) was born! And my family in Vegas is no better. They lie, steal, and are filthy animals! Ever since we moved out here I've been in agony. I'm anti-socal so I have NO friends. And I told my consoler about how I wanted to kill me myself and she spoke to my mom. What did she do? Nothing!! A couple of weeks ago she yelled out loud that I was a liar and now everyone in the house calls me that! And I have NO other family to talk to because ether my mom has pissed them off or she told me something bad about them. EVERYONE in my family gossips about each other! I AM READY TO DIE!!! IM DONE! IVE SPENT 3 YEARS OF MY LIFE WATCH KIDS AND SLOWLY DYING!

So my parents are divorced & this year my dad gave us money for school clothes. My mom does not make as much money as my dad so she decided she will not get us clothes because my dad already gave us money. So my sister who lives with my dad told my mom to buy the school supplies for her because my mom did not buy her anything. I was fine with it even though my mom is struggling with money and my sister knows it. My sister spends money recklessly and so today I confronted her telling her to pay for her own school supplies if she has so much money to spend on whatever she wants because mom is hella broke and barely has money for food. She told me it was because my mom is supposed to pay half of her school stuff for her and dad already gave us money. I know it s not a big deal but I keep on thinking if I was being to honest and mean about it.
