I'm not over it at all. I keep pretending I'm okay but I'm not. I feel sick all the time, am cutting myself off from everyone, and don't know how to get over the fact that she is no longer here. I've been drinking a lot. Getting high a lot. I was going to marry her, you know. That's how it was supposed to happen. I find myself furious at her. My girlfriend didn't die, she killed herself. She was found dead after taking 40 pills. It was intentional. It just didn't make sense. It wasn't fair. She was so beautiful, and young, and smart and kind and gentle and I just don't get it. It makes me sick. I was disgustingly in love with her. Her very touch could put me in a good mood. I'm trying to see where things went wrong with her. She always seemed decently happy. The only time I really saw a vulnerable side to her is when we made love. She told me that she was sexually abused by her cousin as a child, and was raped by a 60 year old man at 14. It broke my heart. But given how little she talked about it, or how many problems it seemed that she didn't have, I didn't think it was impacting her that severely. The day before it happened, we spent the whole day together. She kept telling me how much she loved me, and seemed sad. It's just so messed up. I don't know how to move on. |

But once they start to like me or become more emotional, I begin to cut them off and become annoyed with them (not directly to their faces). I don't know if it's a maturity thing, or being scared of being hurt. What I'm wondering is, is it possible that my expectations are too high? I have yet to have liked a guy who I would actually consider seriously dating - or date in general. I expect them to be as ambitious as me, be athletic (or at least outdoorsy), be sensible - not exactly "smart", but someone I can hold an intelligent conversation, etc. I am not trying to sound conceited, because in actuality I have a low self-esteem. I've never had a girlfriend and my encounters with girls have pretty much always ended badly, with one exception. It's really hard to put into words why, but to put it simply, I did some less than admirable things. Some of the girls I've had encounters with ended up with me making out with them. One of these experiences ended up going all the way (yes, all the way) while she was in a relationship with this really terrible guy who she broke up with eventually because she finally realized he wasn't a very good person, for lack of better words. I was actually supposed to go out with her after she broke up with him, but for whatever reason she lost interest, is seeing another guy, and I'm now just friends with her. And yes, I feel absolutely horrible about doing what I've done, even though the last time I did something like that was two years ago. I always thought of myself as a rather loyal person but the fact that I'm so dumb that I would allow things like that to happen makes me feel pretty bad about myself. A lot of people I know are taken or are at least seeing someone. And all of these events combined just make me feel horrible about myself so I just feel emotionless and empty. I just don't know what to do about girls. I distract myself with my hobbies but the more I think about it, the more I think either I'm just unwanted or that girls are just really judgmental and mean. But I have friends who carry themselves differently than I do and they take a more agressive approach and use more street slang and they get the young ladies undevided attention even her phone number and a date. And just to note my friends are a diverse group people who are white, black, Hispanic etc., and the young ladies they talk are from all different backgrounds so I don't think ethnic background or social status plays a key role in my failure with women, so if anyone can help me find the problem and a solution I would greatly appreciate it. |

We stopped talking for awhile until one day he messaged me again. He finally was visiting my country and asked me if I can show him around. He s really handsome btw. Anyway we met at a coffee shop and just hit it off from there, we walked around the city, checked places out, etc. it was a nice clean fun sort of date. When it was around 5 pm (we started around lunch). We were both tired and he asked me if I wanna watch a movie at his place. We went and when we got there, we watched a bit of TV until he went to me and asked me if I wanna kiss him. So we did it and many more. After that, we ordered dinner, watched the movie and just spent the night together. We also spent the next day together touring around until he had to catch his flight. He hugged me goodbye and kissed me on the cheek. He s a backpacker btw. He told me how good of a tour guide I was and how he had the best time but then he also told me "good luck with everything". But we still text though just little by little since he s backpacking. What is this all about? We also had personal conversations during our time together like about our families, future plans, etc. |

They themselves had an arranged marriage and I made it clear that I don't want one but to them what matters more is that I follow family tradition Anyways, I'm about to go off to college and I've been secretly dating this guy for about 7 months and we like each other a lot. The guy I'm dating is tired of keeping the relationship a secret from my parents, which is completely understandable. I feel really guilty and sick for keeping it a secret for as long as it was, but with my family there was no other choice but to date secretly or not at all. A year ago I would never have imagined myself in this position. If I don't stand up to my parents then I'll lose my boyfriend/best friend. If I do then my parents will forever lose their good opinion of me, which is not an exaggeration. This afternoon I only told my parents that I have a crush on the guy and that he asked me on a date, and they WILL NOT change their minds on me dating. I can't come clean with the last 7 months because that'll drastically worsen the situation. The only logical option I can think of is having to break up with the guy, which I really don't want to do. Is there any other option? We will definitely break up if I can't convince my parents to let us date |
