We made small talk and I got a little lost in thought when the elevator doors were to open, I snapped back and glanced at him see if he was going to walk out of the elevator doors. He was standing extremely close to me by a bit diagonally, he had been leaning against the railings before this time and walked up to the front. Then I noticed that his arm had extended over my head to hold the elevator door open from MY SIDE, he is 6"3 and im 5"8 so he towers over me a bit but usually coworkers have never extended their arms over my head to open the door for me. I mean usually you hold the door open on your side or press the open button. I felt so awkward talking from behind the screen, and after our group was done sharing our sentences examples, we just sat there without talking. My crush did talk specifically to me. While I was saying my example, I got confused and tried to give another example, but then he jumped in and tried to nicely help explain what I was saying. Then he went "right?" (like "is that it?") and I almost forgot to respond bc you know.. STILL, I wish I could've made conversation other than THAT. I felt too awkward to stare at him and I was turning red. Everything seemed to start out really great. I took things physically and emotionally slow as I had just gotten screwed over by another guy a few months prior, I didn't want to go through similar heartbreak. This new guy was great when I told him I wanted to take things slow. We hung out about 2 times a week. We seemed to take turns asking each other to hang out. We started a couple TV series together and by about that first month, I started to feel very comfortable around him and started getting feelings for him. Well now we are about at month 3 of dating and I told him I was about ready to have sex with him. He seemed a little skeptical for some reason when I said something but I just figured it was because he knew I wanted to take things slow. After the day I told him that, he seemed to slowly distance himself from me. I might be crazy so tell me if I'm wrong, but I feel it is really insensitive. I put myself in her shoes but I would never be friends with someone who cheated on my best friend and broke her heart. The thing is they still hang out with each other. I know I can't control what she does but it hurts really bad to know that my best friend is friends with the guy who ruined me. today I asked if she wanted to hang out and she said that my ex is coming so it's probably not the best idea for me to come. To me it sounds like she is choosing him over me and it hurts knowing everything that we've been through together. What should I do? |

My bf and I try to FaceTime every night for around 20 minutes to an hour. Most of the time he always ends the call first because he has other tasks to do or he wants to go to sleep early. I know it's wrong but I always get mad that he almost always ends the convo first. Like I know it's so bitchy and clingy of me but I don't want to be like that. It just makes me feel bad because I also have things to do but calling with him is so important that I do my tasks later when the call is over and not end it for them. I sacrifice a lot just to talk to him. Like maybe I'm mad because I feel I'm more clingy or that I want to talk to him more than he wants to talk to me. And it makes me think he wants the control so he always tries to end the convo first. Please help me with my thoughts. |

He's funny, clever, sociable, really confident & fun etc but I'm a bit more shy & reserved, most of the time...but I do get told I'm pretty. I'm probably an 8/10 and he's like a 5/10 looks wise for context. It makes me more shy since he has a much better job than me, but he's also quite overweight. I have been waiting ages (like, literally a year) for him to ask me out but he hasn't. We do have the occasional flirting, when I'm not making things awkward with my shyness. We do have some banter & have the same sense of humour, we are also on the same level intelligence-wise. There are times when I'm sure he likes me, but am I just kidding myself... I just don't know what to do - do you think there is a chance or are we just grossly incompatible...? I flit between wondering if he is too shy to ask me out and thinking that maybe behind the confident front he has insecurities himself (he's been single for a while), and worrying that he thinks I'm boring/doesn't fancy me. Do you think a confident/extroverted guy could go for a shy/introverted girl ? Basically what I was trying to get at is that I've got the better looks! But he's clearly got the better personality !
