Question: I don't want kids am I selfish? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 12:35 PM PDT I'm a male the thought of me having kids is not ideal for me having to change them feed them and deal with them crying I don't hate kids but they just are hard to take care of is that selfish? I can't see myself being a dad to any child |
Question: My house is always messy? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 12:34 PM PDT I'm 15 and I live with my parents and my theee siblings. I can't stand the uncleanliness in my house. My dad works all the time and cleans all the time yet my stupid siblings make a mess and don't even clean it. They're ants in my house...every corner and in the summer moths come in our house. I just can't stand the dirtiness |
Question: My dad is overbearing? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 11:53 AM PDT I'm a 16 year old female to start off, I know it's the teenage cliche for me to be complaining about my parent for the littlest things because that's generally how it goes but hear me out. My dad is constantly following me around and hanging over me whenever we go anywhere. I asked him why he was standing so close to me today and his response was "I'm just hanging out with you". He doesn't let me hang out anywhere with my friends because I "have to have a plan" but when I did have a plan he completely shot it down and then denied he ever shot it down. I was going to go on a run yesterday and I told him I was and he started asking me when ill be back and when I said I don't know he said you need to tell me even though I was only going in the neighborhood but he's so possessive over me and I'm so depressed because I've been stuck in this house by myself because the only way I can get out is walking around the neighborhood going anywhere with him or going to an appointment with him or school. he even keeps his door open at night so he will know if im going downstairs. I'm sitting in the room downstairs next to the printer to get away and cry but I can't even sit here in peace without him walking into the room just to be near me. I'm so sick of this please someone help me im so depressed |
Question: Why does my mom always try to start arguments? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 11:05 AM PDT I feel like i'm going a little crazy here. I woke up and made myself breakfast today (eggs, hashbrowns). My mom came into the kitchen and said "do you know how rude it is to cook breakfast and not offer it to everyone else?" I said I had thought she had already eaten (it was 11AM). She said she hadn't, but wasn't hungry and just kept telling me ho inconsiderate I was. She was also mad I didn't offer food to my brother who was still sleeping. My mother is the type to talk about things like this for an hour without me saying a single word, so I decided to eat in my room so I can start my day without feeling stressed out. I didn't really think this was a big deal but she's visibly upset about it (slamming cupboards, etc). The only thing I said to her was "sorry that you feel that way, I thought you had already eaten". I am not the type to argue. I usually shut down in these situations and answer simply with "ok...ok...sorry...yes...no...etc." I feel like im losing my mind because she literally never offers me food if she makes breakfast for herself. Throughout my childhood I would wake up every morning and hear my mother and father arguing and yelling at eachother, and now that they have divorced I feel like she's just trying to argue about anything to anyone out of habit. She usually argues with my sister every single night at the dinner table. Now my sister has moved out so she moved on to me. What do I do here? I sleep in late just to avoid her in the mornings. |
Question: My bfs parents want to get a villa and move in with us part of the year? Help.? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 10:27 AM PDT Please hear me out here. I understand how hard it is now a days to buy a property, so my bfs parents said they would contribute to him buying a house. It would have to be bedrooms because they said they will be moving to Spain for 4 month and coming back for 8 months to live with us. Now at this point we will be 25, trying to start our life, and I just don't want to be living with his parents. I will refuse. I'm trying to be sensitive to their dream but what about our life? His mum is very obsessed with him as he is her only child and she treats him like a two year old, doing his washing ironing, making him packed lunch, he does nothing basically. And I'm just absolutely dreading the thought of her taking over our house and starting to do our washing and going through my things (again) and trying to take my kids and raise them. I know I'm over thinking but I can see it all happening now. |
Question: Dad busted down my door? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 10:08 AM PDT So I'm 19, I moved back in with my dad earlier this year when I left my ex. My fiancé and I are living at his house and we went off on vacation this weekend and we locked our door because his friend lives with us and we don't trust him. I came home today and my dad busted through the door frame to get into my room for no reason. What should I do? |

Question: What's the deal with my dad? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 09:32 AM PDT I did a lot of fantasy and historical shows with my dad and siblings since I was very young and we've had a ton of fun. Lately, I've started setting up booths on my own to display my artwork and talk about some techniques used by artists in the past. For whatever reason, my dad has started to interfere with my presentations. He has interrupted me to try and interject usually wrong facts about the techniques I'm explaining. It's not just me. If anyone is talking about any topic he happens to know something about (even if it's wrong) he has to put his two cents in, even if doing so requires disrupting the speaker. Yes, I have talked to him, but he doesn't get the message. My question is how do I deal with this situation when I have guests in front of me? I don't want to look like an angst teenager who just wants to tell his dad to shut up, but I seriously just want him to shut up. So far my technique has been redirecting the crowd's attention, but it also requires me to cut my presentation short. |
Question: Do girls really get in trouble from hitting their boyfriends/husbands? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 09:30 AM PDT Is that really a thing or a myth that circulates in social media and in support groups to make it seem like the world is remotely fair? I know they get in trouble for hitting/abusing kids, but let's be real. If I were to go to the police station and report half the abusive $hit my gf does they'd most likely take a statement and send me on my way bc I'm a guy and she's a girl. Justice is BS. |
Question: Should my dad keep the crabs or do i take them to the beach? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 09:23 AM PDT my dad found three dead crabs at the beach and decided to take them to our hotel room. we took some pictures but now i want to bring them back to the beach while my dad wants to keep them. should i bring them to the beach or is it ok for my dad to keep them? |
Question: A kid touched my penis, what should I do? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 08:26 AM PDT I'm 17, and I was babysitting for a family I knew really well who had a 10 year old daughter. The parents had to go on a business trip so I only had to watch her for 3 days. One day, I was shirtless and wearing pajama pants while watching TV when their daughter asked me to play doctor. I said sure and she did all this check up stuff on me, like using a stethoscope and otoscope. I saw my football team made a touch down so I got distracted and then I then I felt my pajama pants being slid down and then she grabbed my penis saying, your wiener looks healthy and bigger than my dad's. I immediately grabbed her hand to take it off my crotch and pulled my pants back up, telling her it's inappropriate to touch other people's private parts. She giggled and I told her i'm being serious. Should I tell her parents? |
Question: How do I make up to myself for missing my great aunts funeral 20 years ago next Saturday? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 08:08 AM PDT This week marks the 20th anniversary of the death of my mom's aunt. I did not attend the funeral because we were not close to her at all. My mother needed someone to babysit my little siblings also. I did not mind at the time staying back but later I learned my cousins attended the funeral and so I felt bad that I did not go. I had only met the woman who died on two occasions so did not think anyone would be going except my mom and her siblings and obviously her parents. When I learned my cousins went as noted I felt really bad like I had been unfaithful. As a result every year since I've had to imagine at this time of the year that there's a funeral in the extended family and I'm being loyal and going. The only other one at this time of year was my grandfather six years ago and obviously we all went to that. Plus that was late September and not the week after Labor Day. So this year it is on my mind especially because it's the 20th. It's not this great aunt that I'm thinking about but showing loyalty to myself or in my imagination by pretending a funeral. I know it sounds insane but it heals that guilt that for some reason stuck with me. The problem I run into is when I pretend a funeral it's never like the real thing. A week later I don't even remember what I pretended. How do I pretend one that I will remember or even better what else could I do to fill the emptiness of having missed the funeral 20 years ago and something I actually do instead of pretending |
Question: How do we get my mom‘s narcissistic sister not to pick on our aunt? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 07:54 AM PDT This narcissistic sister of my moms is picking on our poor aunt. |
Question: I am 19 taking both my parents to court for child support? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 07:54 AM PDT My dad has always had money and loved the control over people. I've lived with my mother pretty much my entire life. He always had to pay child support. When I was 17 me and my mom got in an argument and I stayed with him for a couple weeks. He said he wanted to stop paying child support and would start paying again as soon as I went back to my moms. He promised. I didn't know how child support worked so I said okay. My stupid mistake. I moved back in and my mom never saw a child support check again. I'm 19 and going to school full time (trade school) and am having a really hard time finding a job that works with my school hours. So I went and filed child support. I had to do it against both of them. I am not sure what I am getting myself into. How should I prepare? My mom makes close to nothing. My dad makes a lot of money but somehow always finds a way to get out of everything. Whatever happens I'll be happy I tried. But I'm not sure what it will be like for I don't know anyone who's had a similar thing happen. What should I say to the judge? What should I expect? Any advice would be nice. |
Posted: 02 Sep 2019 07:12 AM PDT A close friend of mine recently reported a family member of mine for molesting him when his parent found out. It's been made a pretty big deal and another boy came forward too. I know this guy is guilty because he did things to me a few years ago when I was between 6-10 years old) on and off, but I never told anyone and tried to forget about it once I moved away for a while. My friend has been pretty open in relaying what happened to him and that it went on for a while. My delima is that he and the other boy were both abused after I moved away. I cant help but feel somewhat responsible in as sense that is was my fault for leaving. Especially since the main reason I left to live with my dad was to get away from him. I really dont want my friend and the other boy to blame me so I dont want them to know and I know the police would probably tell someone if I told them but i feel even more guilty now for not saying anything. I dont want to get involved but I also feel like I have to because it was essentially my fault. |

Question: Step-sister all up in my business, what can I say politely to make her stop? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 06:46 AM PDT My step-sister came to visit me apparently she moved a few blocks away. Now she won't stop visiting unexpected, because she wants to spend time with my daughter and me. In my apartment there's just my daughter and me and our two pets Are, my 10 year old cat and Bronco, our new Dobbie. I pay a babysitter for when I'm at work, anyway now that she's near us, she wants me to stop paying the babysitter because she wants to take care of my daughter while I'm at work. She is unemployed and lives with her husband which is the one working and she wants to take my daughter to her house while I'm at work. But I just, don't want her taking care of my daughter because I simply don't know her husband. So I told her no and is like I declared war. She says I shouldn't be having pets while I have a daughter, that a dobberman is dangerous for my daughter. If I go out with my daughter to shop for groceries or whatever I need to do, she says my daughter is too young to be going out with me and she's looking for every damn thing to make me angry. I'm about to tell her to not come back ever. |
Question: My parents treat me like a baby literally, im 18? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 06:37 AM PDT im a senior in high school, but my parents still treat me like a baby. my parents talk to me in baby talk, like "gah gah goo goo". when we go out, my mom still holds my hand and forces me to call her "mommy". my dad feeds me from a bottle and he spoonfeeds me baby food. my mom bathes me and makes me wear a diaper, and they won't let me go to school alone! my mom follows me to school and even breastfeeds me. i'm not allowed to use the restroom, i have to do it in my diaper, and my mom changes my diaper on the school's cafeteria table. my parents force me to sleep in a crib every night, and my mom makes me sit on her lap in the school cafeteria, it's so embarrassing. PEARL L, DO NOT SAY CALL THE CPS OR POLICE, MOVE OUT, OR TALK TO A COUNSELOR. I'VE TRIED, BUT THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING TO HELP ME. I'VE TRIED TO RUN AWAY, BUT MY PARENTS CAUGHT ME AND SHAVED MY HEAD BALD AND MADE ME CRAWL AROUND IN SCHOOL NAKED FOR 2 WEEKS. |
Question: My mom forces me to call her mommy and hold her hand when we go out? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 05:24 AM PDT im 15, but my mom still forces me to call her mommy and hold her hand when we go out. she does this whenever we go shopping, go to church, etc. it's really embarrassing. if i call her mom, she'l get really angry at me. If i resist, then she'll yell at me and maybe even beat me. and she's asian, so all those typical stereotypes apply |
Question: Dying from guilt....what should I do? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 03:45 AM PDT I was going through some personal problems in the city I was living in...and my grandmother was having issues with her legs. We both needed each other, so we decided to live together. She gave me a home and I gave her support. But...it didn't work out. I felt homesick. I realized it didn't matter where you lived if the people you wanted to be with weren't around you. I missed my parents...so I went home. Right after I left, my grandma drowned in her pool and died. I feel like it's all my fault. And I don't know what to do. I think about it everyday. I cry everyday. I regret everyday. I can't sleep or eat. I hate myself so much. I feel like such an idiot for leaving. My heart hurts so much I feel like i'm dying. I feel like I SHOULD die. |
Question: Buying new couch and doesn't want morbidly obese person sitting on it? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 02:13 AM PDT Okay. The title sounds messed up, but I have my reasons. This is our 6th couch in 10 years that was replaced due to my bf's brother breaking each one. He is close to 600 lbs. He would sit on one end and you would hear wood snapping. Each couch ended up broken and sunken in. He broke his mother's couch and lets not get started on everyone's vehicles. This is money that WE have to pay for. He doesn't even care. He would blame it on my young son who knows how to sit properly. Even when he goes on the bus, I can't tell you how many times he has broken their seats. One time it was so loud, I jumped a foot in the air. He thinks it's funny. I don't know how to tell him to NOT sit on our couch without being rude. I am planning on buying a set within a week and I can already see money going down the drain. We have 2 birthday parties coming up so I need advice. Thanks |

But now after some while she chooses some thing uneasy and difficult:I don,t know so, what like, what food for my coming birthday, and what sweet to choose?I don,t have a habit to argue, but she also eats nothing,I hope you say what she eats?Ideas are found here so dry! |
Question: Was I right to walk away from my dad and his family? Posted: 02 Sep 2019 12:05 AM PDT -When I was a kid my dad had an affair with a waitress and abandoned us. -My entire life he put me down and bad mouthed me and made fun of me out loud in front of everyone. -His 2nd wife left him and his new wife used to try to walk in on me taking showers as a kid and his new wife always had drama with people. And she always hated me because I'm loyal and protective of my mom. -My dad, his 3rd wife and her family always gossip about me behind my back so I avoid them. -My mom literally starved to provide for my sister and I and so my sister grows to be this monster always stealing from our mom and spreading lies about me. -My mom is a good person but 3 years ago I simply got tired of my sister and my dad so I cut them out of my life. -My dad's brother gets robbed and murdered and when I go to console them they all put me down. Saying that my rocky relationship with my dad is blamed on something being "mentally wrong" with me. I didn't defend myself bc it was a tragedy. -Summed up, I feel like I don't trust or respect my dad, his 3rd wife or even my sister so I cut them all out of my life 3 years ago. I miss my dad but he has done terrible things in his life and I can't just trust or respect him. I've tried. |
Question: What is my sister’s issue with my weight? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 11:37 PM PDT My sister regularly throws shade to my body type, I've always been pretty tall and skinny and I'm even a little underweight. But it's not like I look unhealthy. She on the other hand has been overweight for a few years and my brothers would make fun of her for it. Calling her fat and stuff when they'd argue. She has been trying to lose weight, while I've stated that even though I'm underweight I really don't mind. The only reason why I'd actually try to gain weight is for track and field (muscle). The digs seem to be getting more regular and apparent, we'll just be having a normal conversation and then she'll change the conversation to my weight, when I never even bring either of our body types up. I think it's due to her own insecurity since she does bring up the fact that she was made fun of a lot, but I'm not sure. What should I tell her, because she'll make it a bigger issue then it has to be, and will bring it up when we argue to try and hurt me. With the media and her pointing my body out I can't help but feel a bit insecure myself. What should I do? |
Question: How would you act if someone else was in this condition? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 10:50 PM PDT A member of your extended family who's close to you got really sick a few days ago. She isn't in the hospital; she is at home in her bedroom. You visit her house, ie a general visit because your sibling is her parent for example. While you're in their house, you walk up to her bedroom door but it happens to be closed. Would you want to see how she is or assume that she'd like her privacy? |
Question: Is it wrong to tell your little sister you miss her and love her? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 09:43 PM PDT Hi, I work with this girl for over 4 years and we became brother and sister. I always treated her like my little sister and looked after her, protected her. She stopped talking to me a week ago over a little argument. I'm on holiday at the moment and just want to share pics with her but she won't talk to me so I sent her a apology message and she thinks it was inappropriate and blocked me and also she's going to leave the job. She said lovers talk like that and if her boyfriend sees the message, he gonna leave her. She was telling me she misses me and loves me as her brother and work is not same without me. I have attached a screenshot of the chat. Please read it and tell me if I was wrong to say something like that to a person who I've always seen as my little sister. Thanks |

Question: Help my family is poor and cant do anything to help because im 12!!? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 09:12 PM PDT |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 07:42 PM PDT I'm a grown woman with my own place. I recently changed jobs because I wasn't happy with my old one. My mom heard through the grape vine that I left my job and got pissed off because she wanted me to work there for the rest of my life. She told me that I HAVE to work at my old job. |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 07:36 PM PDT my Parents aren't very active in my life, I have only been home once this summer for 8 hours. I've been staying somewhere else and I've been taking care of myself just fine. But my dad doesn't want me to move out? He's very confusing. He has custody of me(has since I was 13) but I won't come home for weeks or months at a time as long as he thinks I'm somewhere safe. If I were to just get up and move in with someone else while having a job and going to get my ged, could I get in trouble with the police or law or something? I just want to know if I could get in any serious trouble because if not, I'm going to do it |
Question: Is it best to discourage my 12 yr old son’s “weird kid” behaviours? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 05:57 PM PDT My son with autism is considered to be weird, strange and odd to other kids. The way he thinks is different, his development is different and his actions aren't the same as most 12 year olds. Now that he's in junior high, I worry that he will become a target of bullying. Throughout his whole life, making friends has been difficult for him. |
Question: Dinner with laxatives? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 05:54 PM PDT Step brother dating my ex girlfriend two days after we broke up. I feel extremely uncomfortable because she comes to visit him home and they are around the house. Is just simply weird and so did my mom said and my step father is kind of pissed at him for what he did. I'm ok, I just feel like they are doing it to try and bother me; for example, if I walk into the living room she would look at me and kiss my step brother leading to more intense kissing and her saying "You're such a great kisser, better than my ex." Is really annoying and childish of her. He just laughs, they think it bothers me, but I actually feel annoyed because they're acting very childish. I'm 17, my step bro is also 17 and my relationship with my ex lasted two years. I really think about cooking a meal for them with laxatives, so she would just leave. |

Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:44 PM PDT As soon as I was an adult I moved out of the bare place they made me move to. However almost 25 years later I still grieve every day for that move they made me do as a kid. My siblings got over it but I did not, how do I forgive them and how do I get them to see the pain they brought upon me. |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:43 PM PDT My mom constantly complains about my older brother I am a female not only it's extremely annoying but no one is perfect I try to tell her too tell him the problem or fix it, she will just complain something else about him I am starting to feel bad for him in a way too. When she tells him not too do something usually he listens sometimes he won't but she is the boss of the house I told her this too. Example recently he used the rest of her half and half she says she snapped at him and told him too get more and he didn't most of me believes her because I've had my fights with him sometimes you have to sadly scare him to get common sense out of him I told her this too. Does she just likes too complain? Or is there other things too say too next time she does? |
Question: I sometimes feel aroused by my stepsister. How do I stop this? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:37 PM PDT We both are adults and we did not know each other until we were in our 20s. I still find it sick. |
Question: My father cut me out of his will and life because I changed my surname,? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:03 PM PDT I've never married, I changed to my mothers name after he ghosted me for years. I didn't want his stuff I only wanted his time when he's alive |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:01 PM PDT My 11 year old loves spending time with our 16 year old neighbour. Simply forbidding it will cause a child to rebel - I learned it the hard way with my other kids. Besides, it'd be difficult to restrict their friendship when the older girl lives right next door. My husband points out that she's 'gifted' and not like other kids' development. To an extent, I agree, but it doesn't matter how gifted a child is. A 16 year old can expose an 11 year old to things too early. She needs to spend more time with kids her own age. |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:45 PM PDT I'm a 13 year old girl, and my dad spanks me whenever he gets mad at me. Well, at school last week, some jerk spilled soda on my lap so I punched him in the face, and I got suspended for 3 days and sent home. Then, my dad beat the hell out of me for it. I decided that since he spanks me, I can beat him up, too, so I kicked him in the crotch. He then started screaming at the top of his lungs and slapped me in the face several times. I got suspended again last week for kicking this girl who was being really rude to me, and then my dad slapped me several times AGAIN for it. Why can adults get away with it, but us kids suffer for it? |
Question: Why is it that ever since my sister died my parents a fight? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:31 PM PDT She died four years ago yesterday and they haven't stopped fighting since. They got along fine before that and they've got three other kids. I can see them being sad but not why they would fight over it as she died in a car wreck so it's not like one of my parents killed her. |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:30 PM PDT I can't ask him to have me or I would look needy and that would be rude. |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:29 PM PDT Parents are so afraid to do their jobs these days. That's why we have to many ba$stard kids, ungrateful brats, and selfish **** heads. Learn to discipline your children and animals without being *******. IF you claim your respect they won't want to test you, try to hit you and they'll listen you to. End of story. Because I'll promise you this, if my future kids ever try to hit me. Well we're going to the hospital. |
Question: I can’t stand my boyfriends sister? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:17 PM PDT She does drugs/drinking/smoking and doesn't care to the point it's like she brags about it. Doesn't care to get help at all. I get nervous about her being my children's future aunt if she doesn't change. I get a sick feeling in my stomach when she's coming over. What should I do? Just try to avoid her? Edit: She usually is very nice to me, gives me her old clothes, always gives me Christmas presents too. Funny and generous. But she can also be obnoxious, inconsiderate and rude when it comes to her bad habits. I just feel happier when she doesn't come over on the weekend, she won't be there to smoke around me (I have asthma, it bothers me but it's never respected by hardly anyone) I don't have to hear about her drinking/getting drunk, it feels more peaceful without her around. |
Question: Is it normal for teenager to leave house every weekend? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:13 PM PDT I live under my gmom roof and we been having a disagreement for the past month. Im home monday-friday, i work, do chores around the house and have straight A's. My mother just bought me my own car so I never ask anyone for rides. I make my own money. Every Friday i tend to leave at night and return sunday night. She would FaceTime me everyday and text throughout the day. At first, there was no problem. But now, she complains every time I try to leave the house. Saying that I go out every weekend and im never home. But on the weekends the house does nothing but sleep. when she gets mad she wants peace and quiet, and says "you can live back with ya mom cause its becoming too much". I dont understand. |
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:05 PM PDT So my grandma passed away of leukemia last month after being married with granpa for 54 years. They met when they were 16. He fought in vietnam, then he went into hardware and had a hardware store. He says he's fine but I'm not so sure about it. He's a Marine, he's tough,he's silver star recipient. I never saw him cry,but I know he misses her. He never talks about her. He hasn't even mentioned her yet since her funeral. He seems happy on the outside and frequently smiles but sometimes on the other hand he just has this empty look, the light he had in his eyes when gradnma was around is gone. He smiles, laughs sometimes, but other times he's just...it's hard to describe it...he seems lonely. I'm worried about him. How shall I help him? |
Question: My son wants to sleep with his mother? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 02:18 PM PDT My son sent me a picture through facebook messager. I linked it in the question. My wife is his biological mother. Should I be concerned? Or is it one of those meme things kids are doing? I told him that's his mother and he just said "lol". It's probably just stupid teenager crap but has any parent seen this meme before? Does it have any deeper meaning? |
Question: Is my mother abusive? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 02:06 PM PDT My mother almost daily hits me after she's done with work (11pm), and she's usually angry at me for every little thing. I know she wants the best for me, but it's gotten to the point where I have to wear long sleeves and turtle necks sometimes to school. One day she had gotten home late, she was drunk and she was angry at me. She back hand slapped me because I was up late, and it left a bruise down my cheek . And that's only at home, but when we leave the house she's like a completely different person, she's nice to me and I don't really know what to think of that. It sorta scares me. |
