Question: Friends turning on me? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 06:07 PM PDT During this Summer, a couple of my friends suddenly turned on me and started having problems with me for no real reason. They collaborated and put me into a terrible situation where they all attacked me and disregarded my feelings. They then threw me out like garbage and it was a very messy split. Now, school has started and I see them all in the hallways and they talk **** about me collectively. I'm not completely sure as to why it really hurts, but it does. Probably because even after the whole ordeal, I never spoke badly about them to others who asked about the drama and I continue to respect them as people. But they were so quick to throw my name out into the dirt after the split and spread rumors, laugh about me, etc. I was friends with them for so long and when a minor inconvenience happens, they push me to the side and talk badly of me? It really ruined my day when I clearly saw them talking about me today and I know it's nothing but just ahhh, any advice? PS- 2 people who were involved are now good friends because of the altercation, and I know that they're only friends because they both "hate" me now?? |
Question: What should i do about my relationship? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 05:31 PM PDT okay so this sooooo stupid but it's honestly ******* both of us up. Long story short, i'm a HORRIBLE girlfriend. I feel this way because i literally can't do anything "affectionate". i really like him and i know he likes me but i just keep doing dumb ****. he doesn't have a good mental health so whenever i do **** like ignore him or not look at him it hurts his feelings. which i can understand, but idk what else to do. i try to talk to him and stuff but it just comes off as me being distant. he understands that but i know it's bothering him. i'm honestly messing up our relationship because of this stupid feeling that he doesn't really like me. he's told me numerous times that he does but idk what to do about it. at this point he doesn't know what to do and neither do i. do you guys have any suggestions? |
Posted: 18 Sep 2019 04:46 PM PDT So I have a very close friend that calls me almost every day. I enjoy talking to her but I get annoyed when the calls come in too frequent. I told her that I'm not working at the moment so I guess she thinks she can call me all the time now. I am very introverted and I like to have times when I don't have to talk. I would say 3 times a week is enough of talk times with my friend. When she calls we talk for over an hour each time and sometimes video chat. I love her very much, but I appreciate our time apart just as much as I appreciate our time together. What can I do or say to keep her from calling me almost everyday without hurting her feelings? |
Question: How can I stop living in the past? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 04:43 PM PDT Last year was the best year of my life. I went to Europe with my best friends in the summer, and school was amazing too. I knew a lot of the seniors that year since I was in 4th grade, and I even had a crush on one of them. Now that the next school year has started, I can t stop thinking about how much better last year was with the seniors there and wishing that I could live through it again. It s not like I can stop doing things that remind me of them; if I did that, I would have to stop doing the things I love to do. If you have any advice, I would really appreciate it. |

Question: How can I make friends in college? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 02:40 PM PDT I'm doing everything I can possibly do to "make friends." I'm getting involved, I talk to people but I'm just not making friends. My roommate and I don't even say 10 words to eachother most days and she already has friends over almost every day. I'm alone in an unfamiliar city with no friends and no family. It adds on to the stress of "college life" and makes dropping out seem like an option. |
Question: Can we be more than friends? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 11:59 AM PDT I'm a 21 year old guy. I recently became friends with a 48 year old woman. I met her on a friends social media page and she is also a customer at the store I work at. Here's the deal, we became friends about a month ago. Recently, she's started to hit on me and I've been flirting back. She makes jokes about our age difference. She's like my biggest fan. It's crazy. Anyhow, would it hurt to go out with her? She is pretty and a very cool person. Side note, she is divorced and lives alone. Pretty much the only thing holding me back is age difference. She has children that are grown up. A couple years younger than me. |
Question: Am I being too clingy towards my friend? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 11:28 AM PDT I go to a different school this year, and have made a few friends but not very close ones yet. So I like to keep in touch with friends from my old school. However, no one except one person occasionally ever texts me, instant messages me, facebooks me, or emails me any more at all except the occasional forward. The friend who occasionally used to text me also transferred to a different school. I texted him last night and ask what he has been up to and he said just sat around his house and texted everybody all day(But not me) I said "except me lol jk" and I went on saying how I really love hearing from him and everybody else and it just hurts that no one texts me anymore. I kinda went on for a little bit and he said "i was going to text you..." and it made me feel kinda bad about venting to him. I told him that I'm trying not to be clingy, annoying, and I'm trying to be a good friend. He kinda changed the subject and asked what else i want to talk about and we just talked about his failed relationship until I went to sleep. Do you think I was too clingy? |
Posted: 18 Sep 2019 09:00 AM PDT I'm 25 in graduate school and a lot of women in my classes when I say hello to them, they just look at me with like they've seen a ghost or look down or at their phone. Yet women who are younger than me (in undergrad) and older than me typically always talk to me nonstop and always greet me with a smile and even a hug. I don't really understand this. It's always been like this. In high school, girls my age would avoid eye contact with me and avoid speaking to me, but older girls would hit on me and ask me on dates Like I don't understand how being polite and saying hello back to me is so difficult? It's just being polite. I'm not trying to hit on them, I'm just saying hey, how are you today? And they ignore me and just look at me like i'm a ghost. I'm just trying to get to know people in my classes I don't know |

Question: My best friend and I had a massive falling out? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 08:35 AM PDT My boyfriend is a true god. He has long, jet black hair, a tall and lean figure, midnight blue eyes and cool pale skin, like a vampire 🖤. My friend is 16 years old, and so is he. Yesterday, I came over to her house to watch Once Upon a Time (our favorite TV show), and I went into her room and saw her making out with my boyfriend! I was utterly heartbroken by this, and stormed off while in tears. She tried to apologize, but I yelled at her that if I wasn't her best friend, my boyfriend wouldn't have cheated on me for her. I am on my wit's end on this. |
Question: Should I start dating my friend? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 08:29 AM PDT I'm a 21 year old guy. I recently became friends with a 48 year old woman. Question: Do you hide your friends on social media? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 07:07 AM PDT I do. I have other people friended on social media, like some relatives, who assume they can piggyback off me if I ever have something good happen with a friend/acquaintance. And I think it's not cool to do that to people. So rather than not friend the relatives or go unfriend them, I just set my "friends" box to private. (And when possible, only comment to the friends in closed groups or DM) |
Posted: 18 Sep 2019 06:48 AM PDT I'm a 16 yr old girl but have no friends no social life no nothing. School made me so depressed my parents finally allowed me to be home schooled but now all I do is sit in my room all day. And it's not like I've even ever had a friend. The last time someone tried to be my friend was in elementary school now I'm in 11th and still have nothing. I just want to die 24/7 I'm crying because I hate this. I hate this nothing this getting up at 10 am just to do a little homework and then nothing. Nothing to strive for. It's not like I'm smart I barely understand the things I learn and I find it hard to even try. I see no future for myself. IDK why I'm on here saying this but I don't know what else to do. I'm a burden my parents are always fighting about me my sisters hate me. Everyone hates me. I have selective mutism so this is why I haven't kept a friend in forever. Never been to a sleep over or party. Or out with friends. No one knows I exist. No one remembers me. I saw someone I grew up with at school at the store and he completely ignored me.. This all just makes me want to die. And then when I do everyone will still hate me for being a selfish spoiled brat. I can't ask for help. My parents spend enough money on me already. I don't know what to do anymore? Please someone help me. |
Question: Would you think of a friend like this? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 06:06 AM PDT I agree to pay her $120 half in advance half pending completion if she and her boyfriend were to post to banners, they agree to it, they go to Walmart and spend all the money on stuff they want we then go to a location and I tell them to go post the sign she says she can't do that doesn't give an explanation later claimed she didn't feel good so I and her boyfriend go post the first banners and then the second sign for all she does is sit in the car does nothing, it occurred to me later she didn't feel bad when it came to shopping at Walmart and had no problem walking, after spending all the money the boyfriend complains how he's all out of money, years later when I asked her about it she gave me a different story that she and her boyfriend discussed it beforehand he was going to do it but she wasn't, she told me she felt bad about it |
Question: How mean was framing a guy for assault? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 05:55 AM PDT Well boy, he was 13 and I was 12 at the time. Both of us were targets of bullies. We were caught in the process of making-out at a school dance. These jerk were going to spread this to all our other classmates. We were going to be the laughing stock of the school. In order to stop getting bullied and humiliated, I pushed him away and pretended to make it look like a forced kiss or something. When asked if I was attacked and lied and said ''yes, Mike attacked me, he attacked me''. Mike and two guys got into a lunch, all of them got suspended. I stopped getting bullied but they bullied Mike even more. Then a couple weeks later, he moved to another school. Till this day (8 years later), haven't seen nor heard from him. fight...not lunch lol Thing is I wasn't even thinking when I did that. I just came up with whatever resolution I could think of at that moment. I wasn't thinking of the magnitude of it. |

Question: Do you ever wish you had made better friends in school? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 01:48 AM PDT I'm 26 for reference. I made good friends in college, but we live apart so it's hard to see each other. I'm closer to some of my high school friends, but honestly their just aquintances now. They aren't maturing and I don't like some of the people they bring around. I know this ride but when I was younger I tended to attract quirky friends, but as adults it isn't OK anymore. They don't act like adults, and I've also started to realize some of them aren't great people. Like they judge people for doing stuff, but do bad stuff themselves. I enjoyed their friendship as kids, but we all became friends out of circumstance. |
Question: Will wearing a backpack on one shoulder cause serious future problems? Posted: 18 Sep 2019 12:10 AM PDT My sister, who is currently in 8th grade, has been wearing her backpack on her right shoulder ever since the beginning of 6th grade. Everytime I walk with her to the library afterschool, she always only wears one strap. Her backpack is moderately heavy, with 2 textbooks in it, but however she doesn't seem to have a problem. I've noticed the same thing when she walks with her friends, but some of her friends also only use one strap. If she keeps doing this, will she have future problems? |
Question: I can’t make any friends? Posted: 17 Sep 2019 07:32 PM PDT I'm a freshman in high school and I haven't been to public school since kindergarten and I am now attending a public high school. I was diagnosed with asbergers at age three and my mom is dwelling on the fact that I have social issues that I can't accept. I have followed all the advice I have been given; I have joined clubs and I am working harder in acrobatics at my dance studio so I can secure a spot one the cheer team next year. I haven't met anyone that I can relate to. Everyone knows each other already because they all went to the public middle school. I feel more and more lonely each day that passes and I just want some friends. Please advise. |
Question: Not having many friends in highschool? Posted: 17 Sep 2019 07:28 PM PDT Don't have many friends, quiet and introverted, and I feel pretty lonely. Anyone felt like me in their years of highschool? |
Question: Why does a person try to make someone an outcast? Posted: 17 Sep 2019 07:18 PM PDT This is a male doing this to a female in a work environment. He treats her like an outcast but he need her behind the scenes. He tries to tease her because he sees that she is over him and his antics. |
Question: What should I do about my roommate? Posted: 17 Sep 2019 07:08 PM PDT She always want everything crystal clean. Even if there's a little bit of hair on the floor she complains about it. I have long hair so I can't keep the floor crystal clean. Then she said she wanted to wash the toilet every week. Who washes the toilet every week? It's not even dirty. I don't like her commanding me so I told her to stop doing it and now we're not talking. I don't think she's a very clean person herself. Either way, she has no right to command other people. I highly doubt her room is that clean. |
Question: Can I ever find friendship? Posted: 17 Sep 2019 06:56 PM PDT I love my wife and enjoy the conversations we have, but I have no male friends and find myself wanting "guy" conversation. I live in the rural south, (where I have lived my entire life and which I love) where every conversation is pretty much confined to 4 subjects: hunting, football, God and the weather. My problem is that I don't like hunting or sports, I'm agnostic and you can only talk about the weather for so long. |
Question: My friend got expelled from school and now he hates me? Posted: 17 Sep 2019 03:53 PM PDT Me and my friend chose to skip math class today and this was all of my idea. We go to a very very strict school and my friend got trouble for second time and he got expelled. I blamed everything on my friend, so I wouldn't get in any trouble. I've never been in trouble before and when I blamed my friend for skipping class, I got in zero trouble. My friend is very angry at me because I blamed everything on him and he is in trouble for skipping. He now has to sell everything he has and go to a new school. Why does hate me? |
