Question: Do I have to quit my job? Posted: 25 Sep 2019 07:48 PM PDT I proposed to my girlfriend recently. She's actually my boss daughter. I didn't really care much about that, but I hear some nasty rumours going around. Like I'm only marrying her to gain favour with her father. Needless to say it's not true. It's even stupid to think that. |
Question: What are some examples of “meeting someone through eloping?”? Posted: 23 Sep 2019 04:30 PM PDT I have only thought that eloping meant to run away to get married secretly. But I have also learned that eloping can mean just "escaping." What I'm asking for are a few examples of how one can meet someone through eloping? |
Question: Restaurant suggestions for a wedding reception in Fort Myers, Flordida? Posted: 17 Sep 2019 08:01 PM PDT I'm getting married next year and would like some suggestions of restaurants in Fort Myers, Florida that would hold a private room for around 20 people. Thank you in advance. |
Posted: 13 Sep 2019 08:49 AM PDT Everyone I've asked and everything I've read online completely differs in opinion, and I trust people hiding behind their keyboards on a site like this to be more honest than blogs or online magazines. Do I bring a gift to the bachelorette, or is that just more of a "girls gone (mildly) wild" situation? What kinds of gifts are appropriate for the bridal shower? I keep reading things like dishes, towels, etc. but isn't that the kind of thing you gift for the actual wedding? |
Question: Was this funny or tacky? Posted: 10 Sep 2019 04:21 PM PDT I was at a wedding of a couple of my friends recently. They both have an unusual sense of humor. As the bride entered the back of the church, she was escorted down the aisle by her former husband. There was an audible gasp from the audience. When the minister asked who gives this woman ....... her former husband said I do. There was applause from the audience and some laughter. The theme of the wedding was out with the old and in with the new. Do you think that was funny or just plain tacky. |
Question: How many guests can we expect to ignore the registry? Posted: 04 Sep 2019 07:25 AM PDT My fiancé and I are getting married in a month. We've done a money only registry through Honeyfund because we've been living together for 2 years and don't really need any items. What we need is money so we can put a down payment on a house that we plan to look for after the wedding. We didn't announce it on the invitation because I didn't want to be tacky, but the online registry very obviously has no gifts and just requests money for assistance with a down payment. I know my family will be fine giving money but my fiancé has pretty much guaranteed me that his family will ignore it and give gifts. While I'm grateful for any gift given to us, we're really counting on the money received from the wedding to make up the bulk of our home downpayment. Did anyone else ask for the same at their wedding? What was the result? Did most people give money or did you end up with a bunch of toasters you didn't need? Thanks! |
